A former mining asteroid turned military base, Luna II is the main headquarters of the Earth Federation Space Force. Though a highly defensible location, the asteroid is, unfortunately, strategically insignificant due to its place far and away from both the Moon and most space colonies. Still, it proves to be a safe harbor for any Federation ship with facilities tailored for repair and maintenance as well as a useful staging area for space-bound operations.
