The homeland of the Republic of Zeon, Side 3 was once known as the Principality of Zeon and the instigator of the One Year War. Since the war’s conclusion, the Principality was replaced by the notably more Federation-friendly Republic of Zeon and its military was reduced to a defense force. Still, the populace isn’t quite as forgiving as their government and there is much grumbling over their status as a pseudo-puppet state.
