Cat swallows just a bit as she watches the anger rolling under his skin, hiding in the corners of his words as he talks to her, not unlike a big cat in the savanna. She hadn't expected her comment to hit such an obvious sore spot as he goes on about how he is somehow better than other businessmen because of the benefits he offers his people.
The little Saint Michael statue finds its way back to its proper space and even the book she had pulled down is corrected. All the while, she keeps her front facing Matias and ready to react to the clear threat that he is. Years of crime tend to beat a few hard lessons into a person.
"That's very big of you, Mr. Jacinto," Felicia says once his words come to a natural end and she takes a step closer to the door to the office. "I am sure all of the people under you are lucky to be under your employ and will never want for another job."
It is so clear she is merely trying to placate the man, worried about triggering the part of him that floods a room with terror. She points to the figure before pointing to herself and gesturing to the door of the office. "I have complied, sir. I appreciate the offer of employment for such a lowly burglar such as myself. Regrettably, I must pass at this time."
"So, I'll take my leave."

Matias chuckles, hearing her tone, knowing her intentions here. She is still scared of what he might do. She's clever, though, doesn't want to fuck this up. He can understand that.
"You have, and I thank you for it. Shall I escort you out?" Matias murmurs, pushing off the desk in a fluid movement. As bulky as he is, there is a grace to him. He holds out an arm to her, as if he were offering her a tour of his home. There is humor in his eyes, as he is well aware of the juxtaposition.
"Shall we leave the way you came in...?" Matias says, knowing he could trace the line of her scent to however she got here. It is a bit of a flex, showing her that he could have been watching from the beginning.
"It goes without saying... I will keep to my word, as long as you don't fuck with me or my business," Matias murmurs. Make sure she knows that if she retaliates by going after his clients, he will not tolerate it. It isn't like he has done security for every rich person in the world, it still leaves many, many places to hit.

Felicia feels the muscles in her thighs tense when he pushes himself off the desk, prepared to book it if needed. She doubts she could pull open the door fast enough, but she will try. Her eyes land on his arm and the sheer absurdity of the situation she's found herself in. A thief, being offered the opportunity to be led out on the would-be hit's arm.
She hesitates before slowly reaching out and placing her hand on his arm. If there was any sin that she always fell victim to, curiosity would be it. Greed after that.
"I don't typically vet my hits based on their security systems." Cat is not as confident as she sounds as she lets him lead the way, trying hard not to consider the implications of what he's said. "I solely swear not to go after someone because they are your client?"

Matias grins, showing off too-white teeth and too-long canines. "Lets hope you don't get caught, pussy cat," he says, seemingly amused by it. "Don't fuck up," he adds, walking her through his home. Finally, he escorts her to the window she had come through, vaguely impressed it is on the second floor.
"And so the cat went back from whence she came, having stolen but a lesson learned," Matias murmurs, breathing out rather deeply. "I hope to never see you again, for your sake, Gatita," he says, turning his attention to her. "Good luck out there. The streets can be mean to a little thing like you," he continues, dislodging her light grip on him to open the window once more for her.

Almost not soon enough, the window comes into view and it is not lost on Felicia that he's led her back to the same window that she had used to enter his home. Her eyes trace the ceiling for any type of camera she may have missed on her way in and that terrible burn of curiosity starts itching under her skin.
Now that escape is so near, she has so many more questions.
"We won't meet like this again," Felicia assures him as he opens the window. It is perhaps a little unclear if she means her breaking into his home or her getting caught doing it. One slim leg slides out into the night air and she hesitates, straddling the windowsill. Cat looks up at Matias and it's clear she is already rethinking the words crouched on her tongue. Bravado, however, has risen in the spot that her fear has vacated.
"If I ever reconsider the job offer," she asks, risking one of her nine lives.

Matias' grin is both dangerous and enticing. "You know exactly where to find me, don't you Gatita?" he answers her, smooth and easy. His voice is now like whiskey, a little burning but decadent in the way most poor choices are. There is a promise in his eyes- both in her demise if she fucks with him, and her protection if she doesn't. There is something more about him, that much is certain, but it is hard to tell how much.
It is like she stumbled into the home of a monster, but there were no cameras for the movie. Why kill? Why keep the show going if no one is watching? In many ways, she is very lucky. In others... not so much. He now knows she exists, and that could spell her doom.
Matias watches her leave, eyes trailing her as she stalks across his property. He sits in the window, humming an old tune from another life.
He has a feeling this isn't the last he will see of her, and he always trusts his Instinct.
