Robot was deathly silent throughout Gwen's response. It was not out of the ordinary for him, though he was also focused on Gwen's face and nothing else. When she finished, Robot promptly raised his hand in the form a fist, like her own, and met her gesture.
"Thank you, Ghost-Spider. That- I, appreciate that. I am, at the end of the day, a robot. My programming, like my creator, is flawed. I will consider your offer in the future."
Then, there is an awkward silence between the two of them. Before Gwen thought to get up, he spoke up. "So that is a "no", then." Robot sounded like he was smiling.

Gwen squirmed a bit, smiling like she had been caught out.
"Yeah, it's a no. I mean, how would I even start? I had a band in my old universe but, like, music is all different here. I'm worried that I'll be found out, or that something will happen with my glitchy thing, and..."
Gwen sighed, running a hand through her hair.
"It's just, like, worry all the time. My brain is all over the place. Ever since I came here - no, wait, ever since I was bitten by a spider - you know what? I might have just always been this anxious about making friends, y'know?"
She grinned a lopsided grin at her robot mentor. Gwen wasn't sure if he realised that his voice had an edge of emotion to it, for him at least.
"Maybe you're right. It's all fleeting anyway. I just have to, like, totally not worry about what tomorrow might bring. Gotta live in the now, right?"

Robot nodded slowly. He waited for Ghost-Spider to finish her explanations before he offered some parting words of his own. This session had been mutually constructive. He moved his hand to firmly grasp Gwen's wrist, the one that she had attached the bracelet to. "Your glitches are no longer a concern. You should not hold yourself back from living your life."
For the next few moments, Robot was silent. During that time, he maintained his contact with Gwen's wrist. Then, he looked her in the eyes. "I- I am your friend."
Then, he lets go, and quickly withdraws his hands to his side of his desk. "You are dismissed, Ghost-Spider. Thank you for coming."

Gwen felt the cold hand on her wrist, but to her it felt... warm. She smiled wide at Robot's blank expression, entirely void of any emotion. His voice betrayed what was going on. She put her hand over his, looking into his big, luminous green eyes.
"Yeah. Me too."
Gwen laughed, a pure jovial noise. Behind tear-streaked cheeks and red eyes was sudden happiness. She backed towards the door, arms behind her back.
"Thanks, Robot. See you next time!"
Gwen trotted off out of sight and down the hall. She felt far better now, more stable. Robot, with his cold exterior and, well, robotic nature, was a kind soul really. She smiled to herself. It made her feel far better for coming to this universe.
