Physical Appearance
Yoichi is a tall, willowy girl with pale skin and a lithe, limber body that is toned from a lifetime of unfaltering training. Her eyes are dark, stormy and piercing, her expressions always cold and unapproachable, a constant glare or sneer twisting her lips.
Yoichi's hair is the star of the show, a fierce mess of jet-black hair that rolls from her head to below her waist. She keeps it out of her face but heavy bangs cover her forehead and bangs frame her face like a helmet. Her hair is Yoichi's pride, and she keeps it shimmering and clean, free from tangles and knots.

Hero Outfit
Yoichi wears very simple black robes to make movement easy and silent, while just donning simple black tabs socks. Her hair is tied up in a large, thick ponytail to avoid being caught or grabbed while giving her access to her hair, while she wears a headwrap that leaves her hair free but that can be pulled over her mouth or face as needs be. She has a small quiver at her hip, where she can put spare hair-arrows, and has recently taken to carrying different support weapons; flashbang grenades, smoke grenades, flares, rocket-boosters (which make her arrows fly farther, harder and faster), rope and small walkie-talkies. All of these can be woven into her arrows before she pulls them out. Yoichi leans hard into the ninja route, looking to hone herself as a stealthy hero that can take out targets long-range.

General Personality
Yoichi is a cold, withdrawn girl who has no filter in speaking her mind. Mostly this is about how others need to get out of her way because she is, and will, rise to the top of Hero Society. She has had the idea of riding high instilled in her from a very young age, and does nothing in half measures. Yoichi has had no friends growing up, a forced recluse whose social skills border on rude, due to the fact she was always told to focus on training over being friendly to others. She wouldn't stop to help anyone else unless it didn't come between her and surpassing everyone else. Frank, to the point, Yoichi's sharp tongue lashes out at anyone that dares step foot between her and her goals.
Studious and meticulous, Yoichi spends most of her time studying, training or bettering herself. At school she would take as many extra curricular activities and lessons as she could, especially if they would aid her pro-hero career. The only hobby she enjoys outside of this is reading haikus while drinking tea, a form of meditation she allows herself to indulge in for a short period each week. Yoichi spends a large portion of time practicing archery, both with and without her quirk, and gymnastics, keeping herself in as peak physical condition as she can. She knows her quirk puts her at a disadvantage, as it requires training and knowledge of an outside skill to really work, so she keeps this in mind as she strives forward towards the top.
Yoichi's relationship with people is strained. Her mother she fears and respects in equal parts, due to her intense and hands-on method of telling her how she cannot fail or else die like her father. She never knew her father, but her mother's insistence that he died because he was weak gives her a fear of both, of death and falling behind her peers and amounting to nothing. Yoichi has never met anyone who wanted to be friends with her, mostly because she pushes people away at the first post. She instead focuses on herself, not in a particularly healthy manner but by berating herself for weakness and loss. Her cold attitude becomes even stormier if she feels like she is not worth what she is aiming towards, and she lashes out with harsher mannerisms.
The one thing Yoichi has in a positive manner is respect to those who, in her eyes, earn it. Teachers and a handful of pro-heroes, for example, gain a mark in her book as people who have earned their position as she tries to do. Heroes like King and Nocturne sit on pedestals in her mind, heroes who respect their position and don't act in a disgraceful manner. If she was a pro-hero, she wouldn't make a public fool of herself, not wear a stupid grin on her face and help those too weak to help themselves, not just people who are too pathetic to use their own strengths to escape or fight in a dire situation. Teamwork, for her, is just a word in the dictionary under "T".

Quirk Marriage
Quirk marriage is, for all intensive purposes, a banned subject. Because of the dangers that can occur from breeding many quirk combinations, the Japanese government banned it entirely. Yet many persisted, through desires to have strong children, to seek life that they wished they had themselves, channelling their own lack of accomplishments through a younger vessel they creates.
Thus came the marriage of Hiroki and Azusa Gozen. Both hailed from rich families, and from the outside their marriage, as loveless and incompatible as it appeared, could have been written off as a simple business trade or peace treaty between groups. Yet in secret, lead mainly by Azusa, the two of them were coming together to merge their quirks through breeding and create a child that was the perfect blend of each of their inherent powers.
Hiroki's moulding hair quirk wasn't useful for pro-hero work, and he mostly used to for party tricks or around the house. A high-profile member of the Gozen clan, he was a cheery man who enjoyed a joke and had no interest in being a pro-hero at all. Azusa, however, had ambitions beyond her limits. Her quirk, Crossbow, transformed her wrist into the weapon of the same name, yet her lack of own-grown projectiles limited her ascension into the hero community; indeed, she had been a student at U.A., but disgracefully had only been in class D, her power just not enough to push her into the world of heroes.
So, lead by Azusa's incessant obsession to be a pro-hero and Hiroki's view of finally having a child (he had three, all from a previous marriage and all who died young), they came together to craft the perfect quirk. It would have to be a combination of theirs in such a way that would mean they would be powerful in their own right. A ranged transformer, and the ability to craft their hair into projectiles and who could be completely unstoppable when trained. They tried on many occasions, but many miscarriages past. Azusa became enraged, while Hiroki slumped into a depression. Yet after the fifth they were gifted with a girl, healthy and alive, and thus the story of Yoichi can start.

The Quirk
Yoichi's quirk appeared when she was four. Her father had died when she was too young to remember, and it was her mother that raised her from a child. Azusa was not a kind woman, and scolded Yoichi for every mistake and misdemeanor. She had already had it instilled in her brain that failure was worse than death, that her father had been weak and that was what lead to his death, though the real facts were never mentioned.
So when her quirk finally came, Azusa was thrilled that it was the combination she had been dreaming of. A transformation into a bow, combined with hair that could be moulded into the shape of arrows, it was exactly what she had been aiming for when she conceived her quirk marriage! Almost immediately, Yoichi was put to work.
Her life became a cycle of training, studying, training, studying, for hours each day and no rests, save for when she slept. Yoichi had no friends, Azusa made sure of that, because friends were just hurdles in life that slowed you down from where you wanted to go. Mistakes were punished severely, and anything less than top marks were berated and sneered at.
It paid off, in some regard. By the time she began school, Yoichi was already very intelligent, very athletic and on her way to being a skilled user of her quirk, even before any official training came her way. It was exactly as Azusa had wanted.

School
School was not a fond memory for Yoichi. With her mother's overbearing influence, she was guaranteed to make no friends, but even her lack of social skills meant that she didn't connect with a single soul during her studies. She spent her free time honing her quirk, getting the top marks that were available and training, training, training. There was no doubt that Yoichi would have a chance at entering U.A., and her teachers all said this to Azusa's delight.
Yet as far as any special recommendations went, something Azusa was banking on, Yoichi received none. Her attitude was too harsh, her personality too abrubt and abbrasive. She would have to enter the standard way, Azusa was informed. Enraged, Azusa spent a whole week screaming at Yoichi's incompetence, her failures, how she should have just died like all the rest of her brothers, sisters and her weak, useless father.
So when the U.A. letter came, granting her a spot to apply for the U.A. exam, it was a relief for her. To finally get away from the house, even for a short time, and do something for herself... Yoichi couldn't wait to begin to prove her worth. To everyone, to the world, to Azusa and her anger.

U.A.
It was time for the exam, a face-off against robot enemies. Yoichi was among so many others in the exam, but she knew she was better than all of them. She took it in her stride, her quirk making short work of the robots and her training meaning she could evade attacks while outpacing others.
She finished with a high number of robots destroyed, and waited with baited breath for the letter. Days, weeks... constant berating and scoldings from her mother... ticking down the hours to her escape... finally, it came. An acceptance letter that told her she scored one of the highest marks (though the lowest rescue points available out of anyone). Thrilled, Yoichi packed her bags and left the Gozen house behind her, at least for now. She was ready to prove to her mother that she could be the best on her own two feet.

Power
Longbow transforms Yoichi's left thumb and little finger into a bow, including a bowstring linked between each fingertip! She can fire any projectile from the bow, as long as they are a suitable size and weight, and her Quirk shoots objects with a greater power than your standard hand-made weapon would.
The other important thing about Longbow is that it allows Yoichi to use her own hair as projectiles! When her hair is plucked, it stiffens into a straight shape after a moment. This hair becomes shaped like an arrows shaft, with the right density and aerodynamic properties to be fired and with hair fletchings at the end. They are much more streamlined than a regular wooden arrow, and can be manipulated into other shapes before they stiffen!
Supermoves
Bludgeon arrows
Arrows with a large blunt cylinder, this is Yoichi's go-to shape. They are not able to puncture skin but act as a long-range bludgeoning projectile which aims to batter and bruise or even knock out opponents.
Piercing arrows
More commonly shaped arrows, for careful use only, this is for piercing through armour, through shields and walls or pinning opponents by their clothes.
Combined arrows
By entwining small objects in her hair as it is plucked, Yoichi can combine items into any of her arrow styles for long-range use. Currently in a development stage, she has considered small explosives, trackers that can be lodged in larger villains, smoke bombs and rope to shoot up high buildings so she can climb.
Basic shafts
Yoichi can fire her hair shafts without shaping them, less powerful than the others which can only puncture skin slightly, but can be fired much faster as she doesn't have to change their shape.

Nacht Sabre
By collecting hair together before pulling them free, Yoichi can create a near-blade weapon of black strands, as durable and effective as a bokken.
Drawbacks
Yoichi's scalp and fingers suffer a lot from overuse of her quirk. Through many years of training, she can fire off around fifty hair-crafted arrows before her scalp begins to take punishment, and fire the bow around a hundred times before her fingers begin to grow sore and bleed. If her bow is broken, it will remain broken when returned to her normal shape, and vice versa, meaning she would have to set her broken fingers. Fire is a big enemy of hers, and her arrows can be easily burnt up, as well as her precious hair. Her arrows are about as durable as regular wooden ones, meaning they could be snapped with enough force or blown out of their trajectory by wind. Finally, while Yoichi's hair does grow at a much faster rate than other people, she still needs to maintain it with an intense cleaning schedule, plenty of shampoo and special oiled moisturizor, as well as an hours worth of brushing everyday. Failure to keep her hair with a silky sheen means her arrows are of a poorer quality and won't be as aerodynamic. She also needs to keep it well trimmed, as split ends are a nightmare to try and fire.
Fighting Style
Yoichi is best at medium to long range, removing herself from close combat and keeping opponents at bay with her bow. She is highly gifted in gymnastics and athletics, able to dodge and weave out of any melee attacks and distance herself swiftly from any potential danger. Yoichi has training in close-quarters combat but it is outclassed by other martial-orientated quirks and opponents. She commits herself to be a stealthy hero, looking to train her sneaky skills so she can make advantages over opponents by striking them before they can spot her.
