"That's... not acceptable." Shizo said after some thought "it'd be one thing if they were a danger to me right now and I needed out. But right now they aren't a threat. I live in the dorms where they can't touch me and I'm ultimately doing what they wanted, even if I have no intention of giving them my money once I become a hero. I can't risk being stuck in limbo fighting a lengthy legal battle for a whole year just to take what paltry money they've got from them. And the foster care system might just stick me with more people who'll mistreat me. Sure a good foster family wouldn't, but I think we all know that not every foster family is good and moral."
Shizo sighed "I hate my parents and what they've done, but I'm not giving up any more of my life to them, not when I can just play the waiting game and be independent as soon as I come of age. Once that happens they can wither away in poverty all on their own, and I can wash my hands of them." he said "they'll pay for what they've done by having it all be for nothing."

Goro watched Shizo for a moment, determining if it really was okay to just leave everything as it was. It took a moment, but for the time being the boy seemed to be fine and not in any danger as he said. With a sigh, he gave him a nod.
"Very well Mr. Shizo. Just know that the option is always available to you."
Just as the conversation seemed to be coming to an end, someone snuck up behind the larger man and plucked the small boy from his back.
"FOUND YOU!" Itachi announced, taking Daichi under the arms like a child.
"Dai and friend located!" Hitomi also announced holding the camera and recording their game. "Goro too! That's seven down and four to go!"
"Seven?"
"Heads up big guy!"
"Huh? H-HEY!!"
The rocker came flying in on a skateboard with an elementary boy on his back and a girl on his chest. As he zipped by the kids jumped from him and onto the large man to take Daichi's place.
"ATTAAAACK!"
"DOWN THE GIANT!"
"Kota? Honoka? Where did you- Oof!"
"Down the giant!!"
Goro went down quickly at that point when Habiki ditched the board and hopped on him as well.
"You are FAR to big for this Habiki!"
But the complaints just earend laughter from the older teen and the two kids. Goro then sighed and looked up at the others. "We will get kicked out of the store at this rate. Please behave yourselves. Also, if your game is to find everyone, father has already left. An urgent case came up. Little Sister Atsuko went with him to get observation done to her studies."
"Awwwwwwwww." The twins whined, hearing that two of their targets weren't at the mall anymore. But, that didn't mean none of them were.
"My my. All my chicks have managed to gather! How nice!" A beautiful older woman noted as she approach with an infinte wearing a matching outfit in her arms. The baby started reaching for Daichi as soon as Itachi put him down.
"Dai Dai! Kah-ri want!"
Daichi obliged and took the baby before looking over to Shizo with a sigh. "Sorry. Loud."

Shizo was happy to let the conversation end, when suddenly a swarm of other people ambushed them. It made him uneasy, being surrounded and suffocated by all these people. Flashes of the incident with the puppets came to his mind. Everyone was so close, it was so loud, he was overwhelmed... involuntarily his hand sparked with electricity but he grabbed it with his other hand and squeezed it tight as if to cram the energy back into himself. Taking slow deep breaths he started adjusting to the crowd around him, eventually being able to loosen his grip on himself.
"It's... fine. I'm fine. Your family does seem to love you very much though, I'll admit I'm jealous" Shizo said with a tired smile. Dealing with a phobia of his own quirk and the newfound trauma of the villain fight he'd been in had really been taking it out of him lately... but that wasn't Daichi or his family's problem to deal with.

Daichi caught on pretty quick to Shizo being uncomfortable with all the people. He made eye contact with his mother who nodded to him and took Kaori back.
"Alright everyone, time to head home."
All the Chiaki's seemed upset but agreed and started to gather around their mom. The twins quickly appraiched Daichi and bent down to press their cheeks against his.
"Welp, you heard her. The meet up was a total success and we managed to get most of our idiots in out video! I'd call that a win."
"So until next time. I'm Itachi!"
"I'm Hitomi!"
"This is a hero in the making!"
"Mm"
"And YOU are part of the family! See ya!"
Hitomi brought her hand up to the lens, covering it before turning the camera off and joining the others in hugging Daichi and following the Asami to the exit of the mall while waving bye to their sibling. Goro approached Shizo with a nod and handing him the business card of his father's firm.
"Do call on us if you need anything Mr. Shizo. We will always stand by friends of little bother Daichi." He noted with a bow, before giving his brother a hug and following after the others.
Once they were gone, Daichi looked to Shizo and tapped on the card in his hand as though to tell him to think about it. He then pulled his phone back out and began typing.
They really can help. My dad and brother have never lost a case. And if your parents found out you've been talking with them and ask you can just say you've been making connections. Having famous family has it's perks sometimes. Most of the time it's annoying, but it can be helpful.

Shizo was glad the crowd cleared out... he really ought to get some counseling about his recent traumatic experience, but that was something for later. For now he just wanted to carry on and do his best to cope.
"I'm not concerned about losing the case" Shizo sighed as Daichi followed up on the offer for his family to help "my parents are shitty people, and not half as clever as they think they are. Even without my snooping and acquiring evidence illegally a basic investigation would provide more than enough dirt to win me a case. But how long would that take? And what would I do in that time? I finally have a chance to be on my own... I'm making connections, friends, learning things. I'd have to disrupt all of that... and for what? My parents aren't wealthy, they couldn't afford whatever settlement they were ordered to pay me... I'd just be throwing my life into disarray to spite them."
Shizo clenched his fists briefly, then relaxed them "if I do this, I'd want it to be in such a way that doesn't disrupt the good things I've got going for me now. If there was a way to do this all covertly and become independent without giving them a chance to retaliate and pull me from school, I'd happily take it. But I'll become independent on my own in a few years, and all I need to do is play along with the act I always have whenever I'm around them." he said "so... I really appreciate the offer, but I'll have to decline for now."

The omniglot stared at Shizo silently for a few moments as his processing took place. Eventually, though, he nodded in agreement. It was his call. If he thought he was fine, then who was Daichi to stop him from reaching his goals. As he put his phone away, he pointed to the book and then the cash register to say he was going to go pay for it. He also pointed across the hall to the pet store and tilted his head. He still needed to get food for Mushu and it seemed he was looking to see if Shizo would join him.
