It was time... She couldn't delay this much longer. She needed to confront with what happened at the mall, and talk to those who had experienced with her. Kitana would be easier but... She wasn't sure if she still saw her as a friend, if they were still on good terms even. Kachiya had been avoiding her, and she now worried if she had taken that the wrong way. she bit her lips nervously as she walked up to the girls room and stood outside of it for a second before knocking. She sucked in a deep breath and waited, for what seemed like an eternity wondering if she was even in her room at the moment and if she was doing the right thing to begin with... She hoped Kitana didn't hate her, or worse, wanted nothing to do with her. She was doing well, thought they were getting alone before the whole thing happened as it did.
God, the wait was agony, she started to back away for a moment and if she took too long to answer she would even start to walk away entirely

Kitana paused when she heard the knock on the door. She hadn't been expecting anyone... she'd just been snuggling up to her Sicily plushie while doing some studying for the evening. Had she invited someone to study with her? No she'd remember that... probably. Surprise visit from Sicily? Possible, but she was pretty sure Sicily was busy tonight... so... who was visiting?
Using her quirk, Kitana zipped over to the door, unlocking and opening it to see someone very much unexpected. "Oh! Kachiya... uh... what's up?" she said as she tried to recover from her surprise
All of Kachiya's fears about Kitana were present in reverse as well. Kitana had noticed the girl keeping her distance and resigned herself to a lost friendship. She figured Kachiya wanted nothing to do with her after that disastrous outing at the mall. Just seeing her probably brought up all kinds of bad memories... Kitana had accepted that, and resolved to let Kachiya have her space and not force her to relive anything. It was fine, she was fine, it didn't bother her enough to put the girl through that... what kind of friend would she be if she did that?
And yet despite her efforts to honor Kachiya's decision to cut ties with her... now Kachiya was here at her door? She wasn't sure what to say or do here, but her ear twitched in response to the situation... something Sicily would've recognized as a nervous tick that indicated Kitana was uncomfortable, nervous, or lying about something. It was probably going to be twitching a lot tonight... she hoped Kachiya didn't pick up on it and figure it out... it was embarrassing enough when Sicily used it against her.

It all happened within moments. Her mind was flurrying with thoughts of the mall, of how she would say things, if she wanted to say things at all. If she should stay, or go and do this some other time and if Kitana was busy. On the other side of the door, Kachiya was biting her lips and rubbing her arms raw when the door opened up for her and the image of a fluffy fox was suddenly present before her.
Eyes wide, she didn't know what to say for a moment. A look of surprise apparent on her face even though she was the one who had came here to talk to her
"U-um.. hey Kitana! I uh... I'm here to see how you were doing and if we were uh.. okay?[/color][/b]
She spoke, not noticing the twitching of Kitanas ears. She would wait for a response, intentionally (and unknowingly) breathing in and out slowly in the attempt to keep her heart rate steady. It would be noticable that her breathing wasn't regular if kitana payed any attention.

"Um... yeah! I mean, if you wanna be...?" Kitana said awkwardly, tail swishing with anxious energy. What was she supposed to say here? Kachiya had been the one avoiding HER, why was she the one asking if they were okay? She'd concluded the girl hated her but judging by the girl's breathing and the question maybe it was the reverse? And Kachiya thought Kitana was the one who hated her? But that made no sense! Kachiya was the one distancing herself, Kitana hadn't been avoiding her or anything, merely respecting the choice she'd made. Were all friendships this awkward and complicated?
"You... want to come in? I've got a few snacks... Kitana said, her ear twitching even more as she desperately tried to make any sort of sense of this whole mess.

At the moment, Kachiya was too preoccupied to notice the fox nervously swishing her tail around. she was relieved when Kitana said that she still wanted to be her friend and had even invited her in! things weren't ruined between them but... there was still a massive elephant in the room, an elephant that Kachiya choose to ignore for the time being. she smiled, and entered the room at kitanas behest, looking around at the decor of the room itself.
"Ok, good! I'm glad I thought... [/color][/b]
she trailed off for the moment, shaking her head. did she really want to bring it up now? maybe later... they had time to talk about this after all
"Uhm... sure, what kind of snacks do you have? also uhh... cute little place you got" [/color][/b]
she stated, blushing slightly as she stood by the door awkwardly

"Some chips, some pastries, some oddly flavored candies I bought out of morbid curiosity" Kitana said as she produced various snacks from a cabinet. Her ear tail swishing as she looked back to Kachiya "well make yourself comfortable, sit down, relax a bit, I know the chairs in here are just standard issue but they're not that uncomfortable... or you could sit on the bed I don't mind.
The room was rather sparsely decorated. Kachiya might remember from the mall trip that they hadn't actually had time to go decoration shopping after their stop at the clothing stores. Kitana had mentioned she didn't actually own that much, so the only decorations were a nice painting of her and her girlfriend Sicily, a life sized plushie of said girlfriend, and some other minor things she'd picked up here and there, but the room was pretty much just the standard issue furniture. A stark contrast to the bubbly and colorful girl living in it.
The other thing of note in the room was in one corner a bunch of pet supplies and a pet bed were present, and in said bed was a sleeping fennec fox, curled up cutely. From the amount of pet toys and supplies around it, it seemed the little guy was being spoiled even as Kitana neglected to buy things for herself. It stirred a bit and sleepily looked to Kachiya as she entered, then determining she wasn't a threat to competing for Kitana's affections for now, he went back to sleep.

"Uhm... ok"
she stated, coming into the room. she wasn't the best at starting a conversation, even more so when there was a massive elephant between the two of them. she scratched her head.
"what kind of candy? I'm always down for something sweet"
she stated as she looked around the room, eyes settling on the cute little fennec fox. it looked adorable in it's little bed, and she wondered how and when she got the little pet
"that's a cute pet, what's her name?"
she asked as she idly sat upon her hands

Kitana would rummage through her drawer and produce a few different brands of candy and lay them out for Kachiya to choose from
"That little one is named Zorro, he's a real sweetheart when he's awake, energetic too. I found him out in the rain one day and he took a liking to me, and I couldn't just leave him out there" Kitana said with a smile as she went over and pet the little fox, eliciting a contented sigh from the little critter "next thing I know, I've bought him all sorts of pet supplies and here we are"
