Homeland:
I don't remember where I came from, I have lived in and around the area known as "the Town", but I currently live in what people call "The Warzone", which is a lot less ominous than you might think. Great place to collect scraps for my inventions, if you ignore the war part of the zone.
Faction:
I'm a proud hero of Overwatch and a student of Winston. Not that they send me on any dangerous mission or any missions. Not even sure if people know I am a hero come to think of it.
Gender:
Nevermind, losing focus. I'm a boy, so that would make me male
History:
Ok, now where should I start? I don't know my parents, I must have had them or I would not be here you know. Officially, I was born with a defect that gave me these two tails instead of just one, I call it an advantage, but I have had my share of people picking at me over it when I lived in the Town. I used to live in a place called South Island, which is also where I became friends with Sonic, it was a nice place and I still visit it sometimes whenever I have the time. My life changed forever when I and some of the others were taken prisoner by Dr Eggm... no I suppose I should keep it professional, Dr Robotnik. I knew the doctor had a conflict going with Sonic before that point, but I had not been involved in it myself, that was very scary and I was just a very little fox back then. I did manage to send a letter to Sonic, and told him what happened, that we were taken to a place called the crystal egg and how Dr Robotnik would only release us if Sonic gave him the Chaos Emeralds. I also warned Sonic that the doctor had his Robot Masters waiting for him, not that it ever would have scared Sonic! He came to my rescue and took the fight to Robotnik, of course, Sonic was victorious and I was rescued when the cowardly doctor ran away like he always does.
It was after this that I decided not to just be afraid anymore, I wanted to be brave and cool like Sonic, and so I began to follow him. Which in hindsight sounds a little weird, but can you blame me? I was, like... four or something. Sadly I was too shy to show myself and just followed Sonic while hiding from him, not that it helped. I think he did notice me because I was able to keep up with his speed, not many can do that, humblebrag. It was also here that my passion for machines and inventions were born, you see I encountered Sonic at his aeroplane The Tornado, and let me tell you that was an eye-opener. My investigation was interrupted by an explosion and when I and Sonic investigated we found that Dr Robotnik was capturing small critters to use as the cores for his Badnik army of robots! He was looking for the Chaos Emeralds to build his Death Egg and conquer the world, naturally Sonic was down to stop him and this time I joined in collecting the Emeralds before the doctor could get them.
I and Sonic bonded during this time, you tend to do that when trying to stop a maniacal scientist from conquering the world with an army of robots. We collected the emeralds, saved the island and I got to fly the Tornado so that we could face Robotnik in his flying fortress. Sadly, I was shot down, but Sonic managed to get on board. I crashed but was not going to let that stop me from helping and I somehow managed to not only repair the plane, I also made it... better, with a rocket engine. Sonic stopped Robotnik, and I managed to save him as he was falling from space.
Sorry, I was feeling nostalgic, where was I? Oh yes!
At the end of the adventure we became friends, no, we became best friends and I became Sonics nr 1 Sidekick. Might not sound like much, but I was very happy and Sonic was my first real friend, and he never did pick on me... he always liked that my tails helped me keep up with him in terms of speed. That was when this defect became a blessing. Look, here is a picture of me on the Tornado! Might share this with Tracer later!
After that we have faced the doctor several times, he never seems to give up. But, I also built my workshop and began to tinker on my own. It was during one of these conflicts with Robotnik that we ended up inside the Warzone, and I had my first encounter with Overwatch. That was when I learned why Robotnik could build so many things, he was funded by another group known as Hyperion... led by some weirdo named Handsome Jack. Of course, he never ran out of robots if someone else was giving him endless resources, so unfair.
This is when I decided that the best way to deal with Dr Rob... just forget it, I'll call him Eggman from now on. Who cares about his feelings, not as if he did me any favours. So as I said, I decided to join Overwatch and that way we could have allies in dealing with Dr Eggman and his demented plans. Besides, it seemed like a good place to further develop my mechanical skills. I'm still always going to be Sonic's best friend and sidekick, nothing could ever change that.
Overwatch was different, but in a good sort of way, my skills were encouraged and I got new friends, like Tracer, and Winston. Oh, and it was Winston who gave me a place to stay and my very own workspace, this one where I am right now as a matter of fact. I may not have endless funds as Eggman, but I have a lot more tools than before, isn't that right my babies? I mean, curses... don't talk to your tools, makes you sound crazy, you're not crazy Miles... and now you're talking to yourself, perfect. I need to edit this out later. Anyways, I guess you could say that I'm Winstons number one assistant.
Drive:
I'll keep on doing what I do best, invent things, fix things and work hard to be the best kind of hero I can be. I'll be here for my friends whenever they need me, and support Sonic whenever I can! Visual Appearance:
Many people ask me, Tails... what are you? I'm a fox. I know someone used the term anthropomorphic fox when talking about me, so that makes me like a mix between a fox and a humanoid... I guess. I already mentioned I also have a rare mutation that has given me superpowers, well that is what I like to think of my two tails as. Besides, had I just had one I would just be... Tail and much of my life would not have been so exciting. As you can see I'm covered in this nice soft orangy...yellowy fur, I have white fur on my nuzzle and chest, along with these fluffy parts right here at my cheeks, here at my chest, and out on the tippy tops of my tails. Uh... I have these blue eyes, a small black nose and... what else? Oh yes, my three locks of hair, I like to keep them that way and my large ears, I can move them like this. Pretty cool right?
Clothing/Armor:
With my fur I general don't much NEED clothes, I can run around in the snow without freezing. But, it is still nice to have shirts from time to time, just to make a statement you know, like this one I got from Tracer. I also like to wear my gloves and these snappy goggles, high-quality equipment right here. My red shoes were a gift from Sonic and are very good when I need to run very fast, any friend of Sonic would know that fast is the only speed to run.
Personality
The three most important things in my life, going off the subject of speed, is adventures, inventions and my friends. Adventure because there is nothing like the thrill of stomping down one more of Eggman's robots together with Sonic and the others. I'm known for being a little afraid sometimes, but Winstons told me that fear and courage is not mutually exclusive, and I believe that to be true. Adventures are also cool, and I want to be cool, see the logic here, adventure + courage = cool, simple math. Not that I in any way are as strong as many others, but I do my best and there is nothing more valuable than that, even if it does make me sound like one of those "learns to love yourself help books". As for inventions, well what can I say, we are in my workshop right now, and this is my favourite part of the whole world. Adventure is all fun, but there is nothing like tinkering away at a new invention, testing it out and hopefully putting it to good use. I've made tons of things, a hoverbike... that did blow up, and luminous suits for all my friends. Sure, some of my inventions might not seem useful at first glance, but you never know when a portable dimension scrambler could be useful.
Furthermore, if there is someone I don't like it has to be Dr Eggman, and by extension Hyperion in general because they support him. He kidnaps innocent critters and put them inside his machines, he has tried to take over the world numerous times and he is just... just... annoying. I really cannot get why anyone would grant him the title of doctor in any capacity, sure he is smart, but so am I and you don't see me trying to build an empire of emotionless robots. No, I need to take a drink... I think I had some juice and a leftover hamburger somewhere. I'll be right back...
Great, I found a juice box. Now... where was I again? Oh yes, talking about me. What do people usually say more? I've no experience with bragging about myself. But, I could talk about some of my inventions and stuff, yes. Let's see what I have laying around.
Weapons/Items
Here you see my trusted toolkit, never leave home without it, these babies have saved me many times and an inventor is only as good as his tools. That's why I keep them this clean... see how they reflect the light, yeah... the good stuff.
Uhm, what else! I've got some smoke...bombs, a pistol that I pinched from Eggman... been meaning to rebuild it into something else. In short, I have a little of this and that on me, things that can be useful to build something in a pinch.
Of course! How could I forget Cyclone! I think I have some pictures... somewhere here. Behold!
It's my greatest invention, so far. The Cyclone most noticeably has three alternate modes which it can reconfigure its structure into a plane mode, a walker mode, and a car mode. In plane mode, it becomes a rocket-powered monoplane, allowing for midair transportation at such speeds that it can outfly an explosion! In walker mode, it becomes a bipedal mech with an engine on the bottom that allows it to hover for short periods and is more suited for combat. Then, in car mode, it becomes a four-wheeled vehicle that can drive at high speeds and crash through certain objects, notably other vehicles on the road. It is armed with various weapons, including the Volkan Cannon minigun, a laser target, a grappling hook, and two kinds of missile launchers which can either shoot homing missiles at locked targets or missile barrages. Its most potent weapon, however, is a large multi-coloured laser that can fire from the front!
Sorry, got a little overexcited there for a moment. I am working on adding some future upgrades, but not something I am in a hurry to do with the Cyclone. Have been thinking of ways to upgrade the Tornado for Sonic.
Abilities/Powers
Let's see, what's the next point of interest? Hmmm, do not be afraid of showcasing your skills and abilities. Ok, let's see now.
Twin-tails
My first power would be my tails, they are more than just for show. I can spin them around at such a speed that I can fly, or hover like a helicopter. While in flight I can move at outstanding speed, even keeping up with someone as quick as Sonic who usually gets up to an average of 768 mph. Sadly, I don't have the stamina to keep my flying going for longer periods. And by manipulating the curvature of my twin-tails, I can glide through midair. I can also use my twin-tails as a rear turbine to sail across the ground at speeds great enough to let me stand a small chance against Sonic in a race, not that I ever won... By using them in said manner underwater, my tails become rear propellers that let me move around underwater with ease. They are also quite powerful limbs, being both strong and fast enough to slice through metal, and highly prehensile, like I can grab a toothpick from a sandwich by its tip and then used it to type on a keyboard like this.
With or without my twin-tails though, my speed still is considered average compared to some to many of my other friends, like Sonic. Many from my home island are very fast, so we tend to share that trait.
Athletics
I am also quite physically strong, having enough strength to hold up both Sonic and Knuckles at once and move blocks that supposedly weighs several tons. I'm also tough enough to go through atmospheric reentry and then land on the ground unharmed. In addition, I have some skills in acrobatics and agility, and can effortlessly grind on rails and pull off different acrobatic tricks while airborne. I also enjoy swimming.
In direct combat, I like to utilize a fighting style that combines a blend of basic punches and/or swipes with my twin tails. When applied in battle, my tails become like whips that can lash out with significant power across a wide range. I've also been known to spin around with my tails at high speeds to become a dangerous top that can tear through opponents. I also have several aerial manoeuvres that Sonic thought me to get an advantage over ground-bound opponents. These manoeuvres let me launch attacks at foes from above or fly at them with increased momentum. Sonic also showed me how to perform the Spin Attack, where we curl tightly into a concussive ball, while in locomotion to damage, mow down, or burrow through obstacles and foes, and any substance if given enough speed.
Genius
Others have described me as a natural-born mechanic with genius-level prowess in this field, Winston says that I'm as talented as Dr Eggman, who has claimed an IQ of 300. If that gives me an IQ of 300 I could not say, and I have no interest in finding out if only to have something to throw in the doctors face... and that is not good enough a reason. I don't tend to have much trouble with understanding new technology and it takes me just a few looks to understand them in general. I also have a knack for building things, to the point that Sonic and Tracer believes that there is nothing I cannot build. I just hope I can live up to their faith in my abilities. While mechanics are my speciality, I also like physics and science, enough to come up with solid theories regarding matters as complex as time and space. I have a few papers on the subject laying around, Winstons promised to look them over for me, so I'm not going to show them now.
I can also read and translate Binary and Hexadecimal languages, and I'm also a history buff who knows a lot about his world and its lore. Did you know that the Kingdom of Hyrule has a tradition to name the firstborn princess Zelda? Or that one of the largest companies in the City is the Shinra Corporation, which started as a power planet but recently has been branching out, I would not mind visiting that place for some inspiration.
Piloting
I pride myself of having excellent skills when it comes to piloting aircraft and driving vehicles, including mechs and racecars. I also have good aerial dogfighting skills.
Roleplay Sample
"Let's see, so I got everything?" Tails scratched himself on the chin as he looked at the large tray, it had two bowls with two different kinds of chips, a smaller bowl with dip, the swiss roll Amy made, they already had the cups in the room and Winston said he was going to bring more once he was done back at HQ. "Yes, this should do nicely as a start for this epic movie night." Tails took the tray in his arms and snatched up two bottles of soda with his tails as he made his way out of the kitchen, humming to himself whilst he walked. The first movie was supposed to be epic, it was Sonic who picked it so of course, it had to be epic. It was like being back on the Island again, with a widescreen tv and more friends, like Lena and Emily.
It might have been Sonics's idea for them to have a get together like this, but it turned out that Lena was more enthusiastic about the idea and even talked Winston into joining. Originally Tails had just wanted to spend the evening in his workshop examining the remains of the Hyperion robot Sonic scrapped earlier in the day, but somehow he was also talked into joining, a combined effort of Sonic and Lena, highly effective.
"Naaw, he is adorable" Was that Amy's voice? Who was she talking about? Had they started the movie without him?
"I didn't know the little guy was that strong." Now that voice was Lena alright.
"Course he is, it's my best buddy you're talking about! He is tougher than he looks!" Best Buddy? Who was Sonic talking about, oh... yes... that would be him, Tails. He reached the top of the stairs going down to the movie den and carefully began to walk whiles balancing the tray. Why would they be talking about how adorable and strong he was? It didn't sound like the conversation he left at...
"Should you guys be looking at that? Not sure Miles meant for everyone to look at it..." Tails froze mid-step at the sound of Emily's comment. It hit him like a ton of bricks. I left the camera on the table in the den...
Moments later he crashed into the room, almost dropping the tray... and found, everyone sitting in and around the large couch. The camera was still on the table and everyone seemed keen on looking as innocent as possible.
"Took your time buddy, bring in the snacks!" Sonic called out, looking very small in Winston's chair.
"Yeah. I have it here." Tails eyed them suspiciously, putting the tray onto the table before snatching up the camera. "Did I miss... anything?"
"No, of course, you didn't Tails, whatever would you miss?" Amy assured him. "Winstons called and said he was running late, but said for us to start without him."
"Ooookay, sure, I'll go and fetch the rest of the soda... and put this away."
Tails turned and began to walk back towards the door.
"So, it was a really nice picture of you on the Tornado, little guy?" Lena commented with an innocent smile, earning herself a poke in the rib from Emily as the duo was snuggled up in the corner of the couch.
"Aha! I knew it!" Tails spun around in the door. "You were watching my video!"
Silence... then the whole room erupted in hearty laughter, and after a few seconds of disbelief Tails also began to laugh.

They are also quite powerful limbs, being both strong and fast enough to slice through metal, and highly prehensile, like I can grab a toothpick from a sandwich by its tip and then used it to type on a keyboard like this.
With or without my twin-tails though, my speed still is considered average compared to some to many of my other friends, like Sonic. Many from my home island are very fast, so we tend to share that trait.
Athletics
I am also quite physically strong, having enough strength to hold up both Sonic and Knuckles at once and move blocks that supposedly weighs several tons. I'm also tough enough to go through atmospheric reentry and then land on the ground unharmed. In addition, I have some skills in acrobatics and agility, and can effortlessly grind on rails and pull off different acrobatic tricks while airborne. I also enjoy swimming.
In direct combat, I like to utilize a fighting style that combines a blend of basic punches and/or swipes with my twin tails. When applied in battle, my tails become like whips that can lash out with significant power across a wide range. I've also been known to spin around with my tails at high speeds to become a dangerous top that can tear through opponents. I also have several aerial manoeuvres that Sonic thought me to get an advantage over ground-bound opponents. These manoeuvres let me launch attacks at foes from above or fly at them with increased momentum. Sonic also showed me how to perform the Spin Attack, where we curl tightly into a concussive ball, while in locomotion to damage, mow down, or burrow through obstacles and foes, and any substance if given enough speed.
Genius
Others have described me as a natural-born mechanic with genius-level prowess in this field, Winston says that I'm as talented as Dr Eggman, who has claimed an IQ of 300. If that gives me an IQ of 300 I could not say, and I have no interest in finding out if only to have something to throw in the doctors face... and that is not good enough a reason. I don't tend to have much trouble with understanding new technology and it takes me just a few looks to understand them in general. I also have a knack for building things, to the point that Sonic and Tracer believes that there is nothing I cannot build. I just hope I can live up to their faith in my abilities. While mechanics are my speciality, I also like physics and science, enough to come up with solid theories regarding matters as complex as time and space. I have a few papers on the subject laying around, Winstons promised to look them over for me, so I'm not going to show them now.
I can also read and translate Binary and Hexadecimal languages, and I'm also a history buff who knows a lot about his world and its lore. Did you know that the Kingdom of Hyrule has a tradition to name the firstborn princess Zelda? Or that one of the largest companies in the City is the Shinra Corporation, which started as a power planet but recently has been branching out, I would not mind visiting that place for some inspiration.
Piloting
I pride myself of having excellent skills when it comes to piloting aircraft and driving vehicles, including mechs and racecars. I also have good aerial dogfighting skills.
Roleplay Sample
"Let's see, so I got everything?" Tails scratched himself on the chin as he looked at the large tray, it had two bowls with two different kinds of chips, a smaller bowl with dip, the swiss roll Amy made, they already had the cups in the room and Winston said he was going to bring more once he was done back at HQ. "Yes, this should do nicely as a start for this epic movie night." Tails took the tray in his arms and snatched up two bottles of soda with his tails as he made his way out of the kitchen, humming to himself whilst he walked. The first movie was supposed to be epic, it was Sonic who picked it so of course, it had to be epic. It was like being back on the Island again, with a widescreen tv and more friends, like Lena and Emily.
It might have been Sonics's idea for them to have a get together like this, but it turned out that Lena was more enthusiastic about the idea and even talked Winston into joining. Originally Tails had just wanted to spend the evening in his workshop examining the remains of the Hyperion robot Sonic scrapped earlier in the day, but somehow he was also talked into joining, a combined effort of Sonic and Lena, highly effective.
"Naaw, he is adorable" Was that Amy's voice? Who was she talking about? Had they started the movie without him?
"I didn't know the little guy was that strong." Now that voice was Lena alright.
"Course he is, it's my best buddy you're talking about! He is tougher than he looks!" Best Buddy? Who was Sonic talking about, oh... yes... that would be him, Tails. He reached the top of the stairs going down to the movie den and carefully began to walk whiles balancing the tray. Why would they be talking about how adorable and strong he was? It didn't sound like the conversation he left at...
"Should you guys be looking at that? Not sure Miles meant for everyone to look at it..." Tails froze mid-step at the sound of Emily's comment. It hit him like a ton of bricks. I left the camera on the table in the den...
Moments later he crashed into the room, almost dropping the tray... and found, everyone sitting in and around the large couch. The camera was still on the table and everyone seemed keen on looking as innocent as possible.
"Took your time buddy, bring in the snacks!" Sonic called out, looking very small in Winston's chair.
"Yeah. I have it here." Tails eyed them suspiciously, putting the tray onto the table before snatching up the camera. "Did I miss... anything?"
"No, of course, you didn't Tails, whatever would you miss?" Amy assured him. "Winstons called and said he was running late, but said for us to start without him."
"Ooookay, sure, I'll go and fetch the rest of the soda... and put this away."
Tails turned and began to walk back towards the door.
"So, it was a really nice picture of you on the Tornado, little guy?" Lena commented with an innocent smile, earning herself a poke in the rib from Emily as the duo was snuggled up in the corner of the couch.
"Aha! I knew it!" Tails spun around in the door. "You were watching my video!"
Silence... then the whole room erupted in hearty laughter, and after a few seconds of disbelief Tails also began to laugh.
