Franklin briefly ran out of sight as he went to the deepest corner of the cave to put his book down before scampering off towards Roman, uncomfortably close, actually, sniffing him very thoroughly. "No blood, maybe, could smell unalike", he realized he might have drawn the wrong conclusion and circled around Roman to check for himself. "Hold on", Franklin was about to depart for his dictionary before he realized what Roman was asking for, then walked back with a sheepish gait, "Ah, it allows me to remember what I don't know", he explained. It was probably not a very helpful explanation, so he sat cross legged next to Roman. His hide flared up with a bright emerald hue. He stood silently in trance for a few moments, not responding to any input, before suddenly clutching Roman's hand, and holding his senses hostage.
-
"Roman would feel hollow. He could move, but not feel like he did, his body was like an illusion, a translucent emerald image. Franklin was there, still holding him tightly. Roman could pull, but he would simply hoist the odious Stone Kin into the air, as neither seemed to respect gravity. Their surroundings were blinding, too coated in a strange tint of emerald, a bright figure took up most of the scenery. It wasn't some formless explosion; it had a gait, a posture, wings and a tail. It kept walking in the pitch darkness surrounding it, walls were indiscernible, perhaps there weren't any, at least before it went through its wake. The luster faded, and all this bright energy started to disipate and hide beyond an array of pitch black scales
"Come come, you odious creatures", called the dragon with hoarseness in its voice, before sloggily making its way out of the scene within the cavernous walls. A moment of peace before the skitter of multitudes betrayed the approach of dozens of Stone Kin that peeked into the newly carved cave. Initially, they were nonchallant, mostly ocupying the space and looking into the most interesting nooks and crannies, until someone barked at the ceiling and pointed, and slowly everyone followed in their excitement. The ceiling was leaking with water, they had found where to liberate more of the Peak's life. In their own inscrutable fashion, they set off to work.
-
The trance broke, and Roman would find himself back, still sat at the edge of the mineral pool. Franklin had let go and was sitting next to him, the luster of his gemstones fading. Two more Stone Kin had approached in hesitant curiosity, though quickly became uninterested in Franklin and left. "Maybe I knew and forgot, at least now I remember", Franklin pondered out loud.
