Powers/Abilities:
Near Peak Physical Condition
Perhaps a staple for most vigilantes having to rely on their physical skills, Mindy's physical prowess is almost at its very peak. Mindy's training has been constant and rigorous, starting at 4-years-old. While she clearly isn't an Olympic level weightlifter, she is still strong enough to surprise much larger opponents (within reason). This isn't to say that she can deck them in one go, rather that she can use their weight against them and is strong enough to deflect their hits by using her body weight and momentum.
Hit-Girl's real danger comes from her nimble and light physique, as well as her remarkable reflexes. Especially while on the move, Mindy is exceedingly difficult to catch or hit. Momentum is her best friend in almost any situation and she has instinctual knowledge on how to make it work best for her. The same goes for where to dodge and where to strike, all the while getting immediately out of the way to avoid a possible counter-attack. Her reflexes have been honed as far as they could be, considering her age, with Hit-Girl occasionally performing feats like dodging a bullet or catching an arrow mid-flight. She is perhaps most impressive when facing down multiple enemies in smaller spaces, making her movements and capabilities seem almost superhuman. Crowd control is rarely an issue for Hit-Girl.
Despite her age and size, Hit-Girl was also trained to take many a shot. While wearing her suit, she is able to recover from a close-range shot to the torso area fairly quickly. Though this applies more to physical damage. Her father trained her in pain management and her subsequent years of field operations have made Mindy more durable than meets the eye. Her stamina is also easily on the level of an Olympic athlete, being able to perform strenuous physical activity for extended periods of time. All this being said, Mindy is still very much human and despite her very impressive physical capabilities, can be defeated and killed like any other human.
Keen Intellect
Working in a field like Hit-Girl gives one very few options to be stupid. Death lurks around every corner constantly and a vigilante must know the nature of their work, the network they operate in, and how they approach a task. Luckily, Mindy had a great mentor. As such, she is a vigilante with considerable intellect, knowing the criminal underworld very well. Naturally, this extends to her knowledge of planning an operation and especially figuring out backup plans. In her line of work, things tend to go wrong often. Mindy is an expert in developing strategies that, while not ironclad, still propose several ways to reach her goal one way or another. Her ability to quickly scan an environment is also noteworthy, making sure that she knows potential routes of escape and objects in the environment she could use to her advantage if needed.
Expert Combatant
Hit-Girl's proficiency in hand-to-hand is perhaps warranted and expected from a veritable child soldier. Her father, however, took it a step further and made her one of the most lethal vigilantes in the business. An expert in a variety of combat styles, Mindy uses her skills to great effect against opponents small, large, and those coming in large numbers. She has built up a repertoire of being a dangerous combatant, as she can swiftly counter what most throw at her, along with knowledge of the body's natural weak spots, both lethal and not. When that fails, punching someone many times really hard usually does the trick. Granted, Mindy isn't infallible and has, more than once, met her match, who either outclassed her in skill or experience. However, it is clear that she is a very capable and talented fighter, constantly mixing up her fighting style to keep her enemies guessing and being able to deal with swaths of enemies at once.
It should be noted, though, that her style of fighting, while refined, is still scrappy in nature. She uses unconventional techniques and maneuvers on the regular, often incorporating dirty tactics to her style. Nothing is beneath her in terms of what can be used to bring down an enemy. Hit-Girl can quickly adapt to her circumstances, think on the fly, and use the environment to her advantage. Street smarts sometimes win over a head-on assault and her experience reflects that.
Master Acrobat
Mindy's skill in acrobatics and parkour is to not be understated. She will spin, twirl, and jump around to give her whatever edge possible. It's important to be on the move constantly, particularly when facing larger enemies and groups of foes. Hit-Girl can scale trucks and smaller buildings and structures with ease. Additionally, if she is in a larger area with multiple foes, getting to them is not a hardship. Not to mention use said skills to swiftly flee if needed, making her a very versatile vigilante.
Weapons Expert
Given the fact that Hit-Girl is, by all means, a baseline human, a peak physical condition and adept fighting skills aren't necessarily going to cut it. Vigilantes famously employ a variety of weaponry and Mindy is no different. Having been trained in the use of almost all types of weaponry, Hit-Girl is particularly proficient in the use of various firearms and blades. She usually has several options at hand, making sure she is prepared for most situations. It also helps that Mindy is inherently interested in weapons and is constantly looking for ways to improve her skills and learn more about the types of weaponry she could potentially use.
Hit-Girl's aim with guns is noteworthy. Pistols and submachine guns are a specific showcase of that. She is able to hit moving targets and hit targets while moving quickly herself with astounding accuracy. Her typical ratio is 8/10 in quick succession, to use a crude example. The same goes for bladed weapons. Throwing knives are commonplace, along with butterfly knives, a throwing knife on a wire, and a custom-made, detachable, double-bladed katana. Hit-Girl has a clear affinity for said blades and uses them whenever she can, finding that they match well with her nimble style of movement. Though a good gun is always a surefire way of getting the job done.
Mindy also knows her way around explosives, though doesn't typically employ them in her arsenal. Regardless, she knows how bombs work and thus, is able to construct a makeshift bomb and defuse one with relative ease.
Multilingual
A fairly little known fact is that Mindy is fluent in a few languages. Aside from English, she also speaks Russian, French, German, Spanish, and Japanese. While her level of proper fluency varies, she still has most of the basics covered and speaks enough that she can get what she needs almost anywhere.
Weapons/Items:
Hit-Girl's arsenal consists of a myriad of weapons and smaller gadgets. While she doesn't have the plethora of resources some other vigilantes do, Mindy has plenty of tools at her disposal. She is also a girl of simplicity, with most of her tools being straightforward, usually omitting fancier gadgets in favour of her confidence in her skills with using what is available. That said, she won't turn away better weaponry if she can get her hands on any.
Utility Belt and Holsters
An irreplaceable part of most vigilantes these days, Mindy also uses a utility belt. It stores most of her smaller blades, extra gun magazines and whatever performance enhancer she decides to bring with her. Just above the belt are two holsters for her guns, for easy access. The belt has her codename initials HG, on the buckle.
Grapple
A simple necessity for a vigilante, Hit-Girl possesses a grapple hook, capable of lifting three times her own body weight. Most importantly, it helps her reach more distant places and ascend quickly should the need arise. An additional benefit is its use in combat, where she can swiftly disarm opponents and pull her enemies themselves.
Double-bladed staff
Her most prominently used blade is what its name suggest. Mindy sometimes uses the, admittedly underwhelming name "mindystick" for her weapon. Some instead call it a double-bladed naginata or katana, others simply refer to it as a sword, but regardless of nomenclature, it's a weapon best suited for Hit-Girl's style of combat. Custom-made, the two blades are each really the size of a wakizashi and can be detached from its combined form at any time. The blades are also slightly curved, enabling smooth movement wherever she might be swinging them. The grip is a mixture of foam rubber, making it comfortable yet sturdy to handle.
Knives
A no-brainer addition, Hit-Girl employs multiple throwing knives in her expansive arsenal. They are all pure steel, from the grip to the blade. While she has a lot of them, Mindy still makes it a habit of retrieving them whenever she can, as they're fairly expensive to manufacture in bulk. She also uses them with a wire mechanism, giving her plenty of range to dispatch multiple enemies at once, while ensuring that she can immediately retrieve the blade. To round it out, Mindy had two butterfly knives, which were a gift from her father. She uses those when undertaking a particularly special operation or simply when her mood calls for it.
Glock 23
For her primary firearms, Hit-Girl uses a pair of Glock 23's. They're small enough for her to conceal them if needed and perfectly suited to be used in a high-tension combat situation. Each has a magazine capacity of 16 rounds, with Mindy carrying three extra magazines for each gun on her service belt at all times.
Brass Knuckles
While Hit-Girl's regular punches pack... a punch, she isn't a stranger to brass knuckles. The particular ones she uses, have a textured end, making a hit particularly gnarly.
Performance Enchancers
Something she uses typically as a last resort, Mindy possesses various performance enhancers to help her get out of a sticky situation. The list isn't particularly long, but perhaps the most noteworthy ones are stimulants, blood boosters, and, particularly, adrenaline. She also has the standard hoard of painkillers as well. Her job isn't exactly a pain-free one. That said, Mindy knows exactly how to use them and how much at one time, being very aware of their possible side-effects.
Ducati 1999 Panigale
To easily zoom around the big cities, Hit-Girl drives a Ducati 1999 Panigale. To match her primary color, the motorcycle is entirely purple. Otherwise, it's a fairly standard bike, with no additional tech or anything of the sort attached.
"I don't have any of that shit, where I'm confused or conflicted about who I am. Both Hit-Girl and Mindy are me. But when I do put that suit on? That's when I really come to life."
Appearance

Physical Appearance:
Hit-Girl’s skillset was deliberately built on her fairly small size and light figure. She stands at 5’4” with a form that’s clearly the result of years of training, while still looking like she could be beaten with a few punches (which isn’t exactly too wrong). Regardless, her size makes her almost the perfect combatant who needs to quickly move around, zipping around the battlefield like a blur. When not donning her costume that hides a lot of her civilian features, Mindy is a normal looking girl, with long blonde hair and eyes that border on green and hazel. She doesn’t particularly care too much about how she looks, so more often than not, she looks composed enough, if a little messy. Though for being a teenager, that really isn’t anything out of the ordinary. Her typical hairstyle has her with bangs and a ponytail. On occasion, she simply styles her and keeps it loose.
Clothing And Armor:
Getting Mindy’s civilian attire out of the way first (since there really isn’t much to it), she keeps it simple. Jeans and a plain shirt, along with a sweater or jacket are usually the things she goes for. It does help tremendously with keeping her identity a secret, since she looks just like any other person on the street. Granted, few know who Mindy is anyway, but with the amount of enemies she has made, she can never be too safe. Now, Mindy can dress up more, should the need arise. In those cases, she wears a variety of dresses or puts on some fancier pants, a sweater and tops it off with a longer coat.
But what really matters is the Hit-Girl suit. The concept has remained roughly the same since its inception. The suit begins with breathable and stretchy undergarments, which looks basically like a bodysuit. It helps regulate her body temperature and is essential in preventing any chafing along with other discomforts that come from wearing fairly tight suits for extended periods of time. The outer part of the suit is in two parts, the zipper jacket and pants. Made from a type of composite leather reinforced with Kevlar, it is the most essential defensive portion of her suit. Often, Hit-Girl also wears a bulletproof vest underneath, which she had made as thin as possible, so to not over encumber her but to still provide adequate protection. In the middle, she dons her utility belt along with her holsters and a short, checkered skirt (a holdover from her childhood version of the suit). For additional protection, Hit-Girl has knee, elbow, and shoulder pads. The suit is rounded out with black boots, gloves, a domino mask, a lengthy cape, and perhaps most noticeably, a purple wig styled in a bob with bangs. It’s perhaps the most vital part of hiding her identity and usually works. The entire suit is dominantly purple, with everything else being black.
With Hit-Girl growing up, the suit had seen some modifications to adapt to her size, yet still remains largely the same as stated before. It was made with function and comfort in mind, with Mindy wearing it like a second skin. Even the cape, which can get in the way of many, is part of it all.

Personality
Sexual Orientation:
Heterosexual (maybe)
General Personality:
As is seemingly a requirement for a lot of children raised to be killers or youngsters growing up in an environment, where survival was pertinent, Mindy had to grow up a lot quicker than others. Death is a common occurrence, having become so desensitized to it that she never blinks an eye when it happens. She curses regularly, a natural outlet and there are few moments where she can’t come up with a crude (and sometimes witty) remark about a situation when needed. There is a sense of humor there, unrefined as it is.
Her personality ticks those known stereotypical boxes very clearly, while not actually being devoid of social skills. It was a point her father made. You can be a ruthless, trained killer, but have some charm, as rough as it may be. Mindy isn’t a spitting image of her father, rather she is more feisty and temperamental than he was. She has no qualms using violence to get her way, but she has matured enough to see that manipulation is sometimes the better route. Whether it’s actually a “good quality,” is debatable, but it works for her.
Mindy also carries her father’s no-nonsense attitude and relative professionalism. She’s a young woman who knows more than people her age should and isn’t particularly sad about the fact that she didn’t have a normal childhood. It has made Mindy very action-oriented and determined. She is not about to sit on her ass and be inert when there’s work to be done and problems to be solved. This bleeds into her belief that killing bad guys is more than valid. The “no killing” rules have never made sense to her, if partially because she has always known her way of doing things. She will do what she has to. Few dare to stand in her way. However, she respects others’ choice in how they operate. Mindy won’t try to convince them otherwise, but she doesn’t plan on changing her mind either.
Mindy knows how the world works and is disillusioned by the idealism presented by many who call themselves heroes. That carries over to her general opinion about people. Most of them aren’t to be trusted. One way or another, they will screw you over. Not that it matters too much, since Mindy will always be ready to off them when they do.
However, that is something that became rooted in her when her father died. His path, however ruthless, was still guided by the protection of the innocent. They used to call each other heroes, after all. Mindy’s outlook on the world has since been sullied, though she keeps looking for a way back to that state of mind. An ongoing struggle to actually try and be a hero again, instead of a gun-for-hire. At the same time, the thought of escape constantly lingers. Nothing ties her to anything or anyone, she could simply just leave. For whatever reason, she hasn’t so far. Likely the gnawing feeling of still having a purpose. A lot to process when you’re still a teenager.
Speaking of that “magical” time in everyone’s life, while Mindy doesn’t lack basic social skills, as said before, Mindy still faces many of the problems that comes with being a teenager. Interacting with people her age tends to throw her off and is sometimes confused by the way they and other people act, when in her mind, the logical solution is right there. Showing emotion is secondary, despite her knowing full well how feelings affect a person. Her perception remains skewed in that sense, all the while being able to make her way through the world relatively successfully. At the very least, she’s still alive.
This doesn’t mean she lacks empathy, however. Mindy has a clear affinity towards people who have experienced loss like she has and has a particular soft spot for families. Whenever she comes across one in need, she will become increasingly more determined to help them, in her own way. The same goes for kids. Mindy has a sixth sense for knowing if a kid is going down the wrong path or comes from a place of hardship.
If anyone manages to get through to Mindy, she is an invaluable friend. Still crude, crass, and brutally direct and honest, she will always want what is best for those she cares about. She isn’t there to tell them how to live their lives, but rather support them on the path they may choose and when necessary, try and guide them back from the darkness. Mindy’s been there, she knows what it’s like and most people don’t actually want to go there. Most people wouldn’t have what it takes anyway.
All in all, Mindy McCready isn’t one to be taken lightly. She doesn’t tolerate bullshit, trusts few and likes even fewer people. Some might call her a menace, others are simply terrified of her. But it’s not all doom and gloom. In many ways, Mindy McCready someone you’d want in your corner when things get hairy. Whether she has an ironclad plan or not, Mindy will still push forward, aiming to live for one more day on the forsaken planet she calls home.

History:
Daddy Knows Best
Almost all of Mindy McCready’s childhood can be described quickly with just “lots of murder.” Becoming Hit-Girl and acting as a vigilante have been the defining aspects of her life then, before she could even properly form memories. Her thoughts about her past remain the same as they have always been: “It was what my daddy thought was best.”
Mindy’s father, Damon McCready started out as a Chicago police officer who was gradually drawn into a life of crime, working for a local mob family. After trying to cut ties with them, the mob had his wife, Allison, killed in retaliation. Grief-stricken and driven unstable, Damon took Mindy and went into hiding. Plotting his revenge, Damon found inspiration from vigilantes he had seen during his police time and became one himself. Dubbing himself Big Daddy, he also began to extensively and brutally train Mindy in all forms of combat and weaponry he knew, using money he had stashed from his crime operations to fund their escapades. Damon didn't entirely omit Mindy's regular education either. He both homeschooled her and had her under tutors to be better prepared for things other than crimefighting. As for her mother, Mindy had no recollection of her, though eventually goaded Damon into telling her the story years later.
Mindy’s training never slowed down, with Damon throwing her in the field at the earliest possible opportunity. It almost resulted in her death, but Mindy had been conditioned to simply view the experience as a learning point. Turns out that when you start your children really young, you can mold them into almost anything. In a staggeringly short amount of time, Mindy became more and more effective as the tiny killer Damon had imagined her as. Regardless of her father’s clear instability, their bond was unbreakable and even took the time to do fairly mundane father-daughter things. Seeing movies, going on short trips, the like. It was perhaps the one thing that helped Mindy remain as relatively sane as she is today. Yet still, the work took precedence.
Dubbed Hit-Girl, Mindy and Big Daddy became a crime fighting duo, with their clear trademark being the piles of bodies they left everywhere. Notoriety was quick to follow. They never went truly public, but became a story told everywhere. To some, they were almost like boogeymen. To others, yet another batch of insane vigilantes. Mindy and Damon continued their work, being very effective in holding a tight grip on the Chicago criminal underworld. Their lives became solely about their mission. Eat, sleep, train, kill fuckers, repeat. Whenever bodies of criminals were found, the two were the most likely suspects. It really was them against the world. Enemies behind every corner, the police behind every other. That didn’t dissuade Mindy and Damon though. It was merely a part of the job. But it was all really leading up to the one reason they got into this in the first place: revenge. Always reminding itself to Damon and now firmly rooted in Mindy as well.
Finish The Job, Mourn Later
Their ultimate mission found its point of readiness during a quiet night. Mindy and Damon were sitting on a rooftop, just staring at the city lights. Both knew it was time. It was also the first time Mindy questioned her role in his plan. She never knew her mother. She only did it for daddy. Because she was a good daughter. But she also wondered what her life could’ve been like. Mindy quickly buried those feelings. They were unimportant to the mission. If she couldn’t muster the point of revenge for herself, she instead framed it was ridding the city of another cancer. That was enough for her. As long as she could be by her father’s side and strive for a greater good.
That same night, they launched their assault. A bloodbath like no other. The duo slicing and shooting through everyone they saw at the mob compound. Put some good music there and it looked like a scene from a movie. When the dust settled, the bodies were almost countless. Damon McCready among them.
Their hope of being forgotten was for naught. At some point during their operations, the mob had figured out Big Daddy was Damon and prepared accordingly. Their network had also grown since Damon last faced them, having placed spies everywhere, learning of his plan to attack them. While Damon succeeded in his mission, he also went down with them, leaving Hit-Girl as the last one standing. Barely alive herself, the young vigilante tried to carry her father’s body away, to bury him proper. She couldn’t. Being too exhausted, injured, and with the authorities about to arrive, Mindy made it out by the skin of her teeth. She remembers clearly what she felt that night. An eruption of emotions kept at bay, survival instinct taking hold. Just as her daddy had taught her. She couldn’t say goodbye, couldn’t give him the proper courtesy. She simply left, the job being finished. There was a sense of completion, even if she didn’t feel it. There was always a price to be paid for revenge. Mindy just didn’t think it would be her father’s life.
Hit-Girl In: The Great Half-America Road Trip
Hit-Girl disappeared from the scene for a while after. Using the multitude of contingencies they set in place in case of an unavoidable calamity, Mindy ensured that she couldn’t be found. Licking her wounds, she experienced a crisis. Her father was dead, the one person she had. Their mission was complete, but there was something supposed to happen after. Something they would face together. She didn’t exactly think it was karma or anything like that. Yet it was an event that shook her to her core. So much so, that Mindy discarded the skewered hero mentality. Of what use was it if the greatest hero she knew could die just like that. He taught her to always expect death, but it wasn’t supposed to be either of them that died. It was the most Mindy had ever felt like an actual kid, confused what would happen to her now that her father is gone.
It was a period of true realization for Mindy, acting on her own accord and doing what she thought she should do. Perhaps for the first time ever. She knew what Damon would’ve wanted. But this one time, her own pain took precedence. She needed to figure shit out. Instead of staying on a relative hero’s path, Mindy left behind what she knew and ditched Chicago. She just picked a road and started driving. Travelling between Central US and the East Coast, Mindy never really managed to stay in one place for long.
She tried to find a new place for herself, try and find meaning again in the one thing she knew how to do. During that time, Mindy took the odd job, finding that in some places, her reputation preceded her. She made enough money to get by, while holding on to a portion of her father’s inheritance (which wasn’t a lot to begin with). Mindy also made enemies, an inevitability it seemed, though a few alliances were also formed. A first for her. It was a strange feeling, yet it made her work a tad easier in certain areas. It didn’t hurt to know that there was a friendly-ish face in a few places. But it didn’t compare to the partnership she had before. Nothing would. Nobody was worthy enough. So she continued her lethal work wherever she could, never staying long enough to make true connections and to avoid unnecessary trouble or attention. But trouble always seemed to follow Hit-Girl anyway. Usually that of her own doing.
Game On, Cocksuckers
The job was fairly simple: dismantle a smuggling operation of one of the many criminal syndicates in NYC. She was to do it alone, with additional backup only sent if things went belly up. Her success would mean that it wouldn’t be tracked back to her or her handlers, as evidence was already planted, blaming one of the other crime families as taking out a rival’s operation. Nothing new and much easier to accomplish than some would think. It wasn’t anything new to Hit-Girl either, she had done this more times she could count.
What followed was a showcase of Mindy’s matured talents. Before anyone could realize what was going on, she had already destroyed most shipments, documents, and network of that particular operation. When she dealt the final blow, there was nobody left to stop her. Until the docks and warehouse where she finished her mission, were surrounded by the Maggia. That wasn’t mentioned in her mission brief. Her own backup never came, her calls unanswered. Fucking played, she thought. Mindy knew the Maggia by reputation and knew there were only a handful of ways out of the situation. Most ended in her and them all dead.
Before she could ready herself for a wildly unmatched fight, commotion stopped, as an impossibly large man emerged from the crowd of Maggia mercs and stood comfortably before Mindy. She didn’t know who he was, but he solved her confusion quickly. Wilson Fisk, better known as Kingpin, was one of the bigger heads of the Maggia crime family. A much more calm man than his appearance and reputation would make it seem, Fisk explained the situation. The mission Mindy had taken a year and a half before in New York also involved a similar premise to her current one. She also didn’t know then that her target was the Maggia. Then, she had also killed a respected Maggia operative and a close friend of Fisk’s. Though tracking her was more difficult than anticipated, he eventually succeeded and used his contacts to draw her back to the city. The very contacts who gave Mindy the current job. The promise of work and a handsome reward were clearly enough. Mindy was mentally killing herself, thinking what Damon would’ve done and knowing that she was smarter than that. Nevertheless, she had her one hand stuck in a pickle jar and the other hand being unsure how to get it out.
Fisk commended Hit-Girl’s skills and tenacity, saying that she had damaged the Maggia more than she realized and that he should really just kill her on the spot. However, the Kingpin was not an unreasonable man. Even more so, he wasn’t stupid. Talent like hers didn’t emerge often and he saw a golden opportunity. Mindy owed the Maggia and she needed work. It was that or die. Mindy knew that it would’ve been a repeat of her father’s death, only her taking his place. The thought seemed enticing for a moment. Reuniting somewhere else. But she knew he wanted her to live. She had to, she wasn’t done yet. So, taking the more likely route, Mindy accepted Fisk’s offer.
Since then, Mindy has been a Maggia operative, one of their most lethal. While she still keeps everyone at arm’s length, she has become comfortable enough to know that she can still do something adjacent to what she did before. She wasn’t entirely comfortable with working for a blatant crime lord. But the world had changed and she along with it. Fisk keeps reminding Mindy of her father in many ways. Though he is more cunning than Damon was, always with something up his sleeve, never to be truly trusted. That’s not an issue for Hit-Girl, as she still views the Maggia as her employers and nothing more. There would come a time when she would cut herself free and she knows far too well that the price will be a fuckton of bodies. Hopefully one of those won’t be her own.
Role Play Sample:
20? No, 23. You assholes think you're sneaky, huh?
Putting away her binoculars, Hit-Girl surveyed the area once more just as is. She didn't really need to take stock of how many enemies there were, since she was there for just one. A former Maggia family member who struck out on his own, only in a way that directly opposed the Maggia and even stole several members from the syndicate. Considered a traitor, Hit-Girl was tasked with assassinating him. The hope was that once he was out of the picture, the rest of the mercs would fall in line. Mindy couldn't promise any of them making it out alive, but did half-promise to try. She didn't really have the option of declining.
The target was in an unfinished building, using it as a makeshift base until their real one completed construction elsewhere. Something the Maggia was taking care of at the same time as Mindy's task was taking place. The building had a small courtyard in front, with a portion of the 23 spotted enemies on patrol and guarding the entrance. Mindy was on the rooftop of a building next to the target building. She had the chance of avoiding most of them, since the rooftop was close enough to scaffolding that she could grapple to.
Making her way to the building proper, Mindy landed on the scaffolding and entered one of the floors through a nearby unfinished window. Her target was a level above. The floor was populated by patrolling goons, though Hit-Girl managed to avoid them through well-placed unintentional cover and quick feet.
Reaching the upper level, the room her target was in was well-guarded. In quick succession, Mindy silently took out the two guards at the room's entrance. One inside the room heard a thud, going to investigate. Not having enough time to hide the bodies, she instead took the one closest to her, lifted it up and threw it on the investigating goon. She then quickly dealt with that one, a swift, lethal stab to the heart. He made noise, her stealth was blown. She wouldn't say it wasn't on purpose. The level was high enough for the other goons to not hear her. But there were 6 still in the room with her, the target being one of them.
She smirked briefly before gripping tight on her dual-bladed staff and making her way to the first enemy that was readying their gun. A kill in two slices. First cut off the hand with the gun, the second sliced his throat. Mindy quickly turned towards two of them gaining on her and ran directly towards them. Just before she was about to collide, Hit-Girl dropped into a slide, holding her staff so that it would slice through one of each of their legs. The momentum helped. The two charging ones fell to the ground screaming in pain, before being put out of their miseries with strikes to the neck.
Three remained.
Mindy got to her feet just in time to narrowly dodge one bullet, fired from a shaking hand. She already had a pair of throwing knives at the ready in her vacant hand. The first knife struck the one who shot at her in the eye. The second one hit the other goon right in the chest. They would be alive for a few more minutes, but in enough pain for them to be inert. Composing herself in a second, Hit-Girl walked towards her client, who was now attempting to escape through the door she came in from. Grabbing her grapple, she shot it at his leg, yanking it so that he fell flat on his face.
Crack! A broken nose.
He turned to his back, holding his bleeding and broken nose. She didn't need to tell him who she was, he knew. Aside from the memorable getup, Hit-Girl had built a similar reputation under the Maggia as she had with her father back in Chicago. He tried to get away again, a futile attempt.
"Aww, you're cute!"
Sarcasm had never been more obvious. Mindy was never known for being subtle. The target died with a blade in his back, Hit-Girl twisting it to make sure he wasn't going to get back up. The other goons had, by then, died of blood loss, leaving her free to go... if it wasn't for the alarm sounding throughout the building. The fucker must've triggered it when she entered the room. Mindy sighed, cursed under her breath and began making her way down the building. Sounds of blades meeting flesh and agonizing screams filled the stairwell. When she finally made it to the ground floor, the goons guarding the building were ready to shoot until she emerged from the shadows. One had his gun at the ready, but wasn't quick enough to avoid Mindy's grapple and subsequent death by his own weapon. The others, as sort of hoped, did actually fall in line. Some of them escaping, others telling her they would rejoin the Maggia. She couldn't promise them their lives, which they already knew anyway. Regardless, Mindy then left them there, having given the message of a mission complete to Fisk, who was sending other Maggia to the scene quickly after.
A mission well done, with a suitable reward waiting. A further step towards, potentially one day, Hit-Girl freeing herself from the crime syndicate's clutches.
