Powers/Abilities:
Electrokinesis: Livewire has the ability to absorb, generate and project volumes of electrical energy of an extremely high voltage. She also has the ability to transform into living electrical energy. In that form she can transmit herself through power lines and metal objects.
Energy Absorption: Livewire can absorb electric energy from almost any source, reactors, batteries, even alien stuff.
Flight: Can fly at supersonic speeds, however travelling at near the speed of lightning without nearby power will vastly drain her.
Enhanced Senses: Livewire can sense powerful energy sources.
Weaknesses
Vulnerability to Water: Being exposed to a decent body or amount of water can short Leslie's powers, dazing or even rendering her temporarily unconscious.
Power Limitation: Livewire's energy absorption abilities have a limit and absorbing too much energy can cause her extreme pain.
Obsession: She has a constant hunger for energy, sometimes being attracted to powerful sources like a bug to a light at night.
Tracible Isotope: As part of her parole, she was shot with particles of a radioactive isotope that would allow her movements to be tracked by anyone who knew what they were looking for.
Energy Instability: After her accident, Leslie's body wasn't the only thing transformed into energy, but her mental pattern as well. The configuration her pattern was left in acted like a psychosis as she drew in energy, essentially being compared to her brain's receptors firing at random instead of in organized patterns, like she was on some type of drug. This lead her to make extremely impulsive decisions, more so than she regularly did as well as extremely bipolar mood swings. Her instability was counteracted by putting her body through the same particle accelerator that contributed to her powers, filtering out the "junk" that was making it hard for her to think straight.
Weapons/Items:
Carries a specially made comms on missions.
Has a very well insulated cellphone at home.
Appearance
Image:
Physical Appearance:
Leslie previous had raven black hair and dark brown eyes, her skin was somewhat tanned from sunbathing poolside. Though after becoming Livewire, her black hair and brown eyes have turned electric blue, her skin a chalky blue. She is 5'4" tall and weights around 120 pounds. She has a fit trim body with visible muscle and a sizable badonkadonk, originally for the purpose of trying to one up a more wholesome competitor on the internet for views and subscribers. Livewire also prides herself on having a decent chest, happily flaunting it in her outfits.
Clothing and Armor:
Livewire wears a black leotard with a center lightning bolt shaped cutout that shows cleavage along with matching thigh high boots, both of which frames her thick thighs and backside. She created it by rearranging the electrons in other clothing. (This outfit is slightly different from the one she wore as a villain which had a center cutout that extended past her neck shaped like a lightning bolt.)
When she just wants to chill, she'll often opt for a hoodie and some shorts.
Personality
Sexual Orientation:
Bi (Leaning Lesbian)
General Personality:
Leslie or rather Livewire has a brash personality, often crass and not afraid to say what she's thinking about someone without a moment's hesitation. She is a narcissist, obsessed with her appearance and flaunting it whenever the mood strikes her. She is a massive cynic of supers, convinced that most are grandstanding or purposely stirring up trouble and making new villains to fuel their popularity, even having legitimate evidence to back some cases up. Anyone misusing their powers for personal gain grinds her gears a bit, at least she was legitimately ill when she was showboating all the time. She also isn't afraid to standup to more veteran heroes when they make a questionable choice. Since her release and joining the Champions, compared to both previous versions of herself, Leslie has mellowed out even if by a small but noticeable distance.
It can difficult for Leslie to admit when she's wrong about something, not wanting to give someone the satisfaction of her either apologizing or breaking down. She loves cracking jokes or making meme references, getting a kick out of it when something actually lands or makes someone laugh. She'll easily admit that she isn't the brightest bulb compared to some, but thanks to the world of battling other internet personalities she has learned to be very perceptive of other's intentions to avoid being the butt of a video or meme dissing her. She isn't afraid to show off that she has a bit of skill when it comes to public relations and dealing with critics. When it comes to her brand of heroism, she doesn't want to be a girlscout, a smiling idiot, a brooding figure in the night or a delusional knight, Leslie figures that sometimes you need a bit of a rebel who used to break the rules to take stop someone from hurting others, she doesn't care if people call her a bad guy if someone makes it home to their kids.

History:
Leslie Willis, a notorious internet personality based out of Metropolis. While she primarily streamed video games in revealing or tight outfits and workout videos, she also ran a blog that was initially just makeup tutorials, trolling other personalities and making the occasional unfunny prank. But she was also a strong critic of superheroes, in particular Superman. She often voiced that he was grandstanding or ended up causing more trouble than he was worth whenever possible which is what her blog became more about over time, some partially factual while others bordered into conspiracy theory. In the few short years she had about a million or more followers with a few thousand in Metropolis. She and a few other local celebrities collaborated to stir up a protest of Star Labs and its particle accelerator, not that any of them really cared about it. The protest more or less ended up with Leslie leading the charge at one point to steal the spotlight. She got the bright idea to tamper with the Lab's power supply to shut them down. She got up on the roof and damaged the high voltage hookup on the roof, showering the crowd with sparks and causing small fires to break out. This caught the attention of Superman, who seemed to practically be already on the scene, appearing only a minute later warning her to stop what she was doing. Leslie started a livestream on the roof showcasing her facing off against Superman. She went back and forth with him, airing out her criticisms of the blue boyscout, not knowing the danger she was in. A storm was brewing overhead as the particle accelerator was going wild beneath her feet. Thunder rumbled overhead as the accelerator exploded, Leslie was smacking on the high voltage hookup as a bolt of lightning struck the nearby transmission tower. The energy sent out by explosion sent her flying as lightning arced out and struck her. Something happened to her body, the interaction between the energy and lightning changed her. Superman flew into action catching her out of the sky, delivering her directly to the hospital.
Leslie woke up in a hospital sometime a few days later, her senses overwhelmed by what was around her. She went into a panic attack on seeing her skin, having a complete meltdown at first when she saw her full appearance. Leslie thrashed the hospital room, inadvertently drawing out a stream of electricity from an outlet when she was in the middle of her tantrum. Absorbing the energy was like a euphoric high, accidentally shooting some of it it out and causing an explosion was even cooler. She then felt like she could do even more as the hospital staff ran in to restrain her, blowing them away with a show of force before figuring out that she could escape the stinky place. Travelling through powerlines, circuits, anything that could carry her. She wasn't quite feeling herself but couldn't deny the rush she was feeling. Leslie went on a bit of a rampage across the city, blowing up a few gaudy displays downtown. Superman eventually got involved after long enough, trying to stop her. She proved to be too slippery with her new powers, evading him for the better part of a day and terrorizing the city after rebranding herself as Livewire. After a showdown, she ended up being exposed to water and lost her charge. An isolated cell was made for her on Stryker's Island where she was contained for what seemed like a eternity without access to the internet. A few months in, Livewire was able to escape thanks to a careless new hire who brought his phone into the isolation ward.
Back in the outside world she was a bit more careful, she distanced herself from Metropolis in order to branch out and stretch her legs. Her escape didn't go unnoticed for long, though it didn't help that she made a video on the go to her subscriber only channel. She lived off the grid... or rather lived in the power grid to stay off the grid. Livewire made herself a somewhat of a public menace in the United States and parts of Canada, staying way the hell away from Metropolis. The euphoric high emboldened her impulses, robbing banks and building up quite the capital. She built herself a Citadel of Supermanstaythehellaway-itude so that she could actually enjoy life, but while it helped her hide from do-gooders who wanted to shove her back into an insulated cell, other people came calling, an eco-terrorist group calling themselves Dharma. This wasn't just normal eco-terrorists but ones back with metahuman abilities that had labeled as villains, those who actually were doing what they did for a cause, minor league stuff but still known for their actions against corporations and government brand heroes. It was a gateway into larger things, after a few collaborations, she started to vlog what they were doing. It attracted a lot of attention towards Dharma and was a polarizing subject for the media as Livewire and the others were exposing corporate greed and people specifically damaging the environment. She was having her fun, but at the same time fulfilling something else inside that she had been lacking. Although she was the most extreme of the members, they still put up with her nonsense due to how powerful she was.
It wasn't long until the group pissed off the wrong cog in the military industrial complex. A trap was set, strongly baiting Dharma into making a move. Some felt like it was a trap, but Livewire had become more or less the leader of the leaderless group over the past few months with her brand of charisma and goading. The trap was sprung and they were captured, a special cage being used to contained Livewire. Though this party was further crashed by the Justice League, not wanting a shady government agency to disappear all their captives to some black site so they could been seen in the light of public law. Livewire was ultimately captured and brought to the government supermax for powered individuals, Belle Reve. She fought her captors daily, being driven mad by the lack of energy they were providing her even though her powers were being dampened. However this manic state attracted the attention of a few scientists studying the villains for their various projects. Livewire was volunteered for an experiment, being flown out back to her hometown to the very site her journey began. She put up a hell of a fight despite being nearly deprived of energy as they funneled her into the newly repaired particle accelerator. She realized almost immediately they had made a mistake and disabled her power dampening collar, trying to phase into the electrical conduits only to be sucked into the center of the accelerator's pathway as it was turned on.
Livewire cursed and spat as her body was accelerated to the point where she couldn't keep a physical shape, existing as a stream of energy in the accelerator's loop. Something odd happened as everything became a blur to her, dense particles lodged deep within her energy began to shuffle their way out as she continued to be accelerated, eventually breaking off from her energy stream. She was stretched out along the entire length of the particle accelerator at one point before it began to slow down, though by that point she had lost consciousness. When Livewire regained consciousness back at Belle Reve, she was conflicted. All of the static and noise that had been driving her crazy all the time... it was gone? It didn't take long for the change in her normally hostile personality to reach the highest levels in the administration and to outside entities as they reviewed her file. A regular psychiatry exam proved that her results contradicted nearly all prior exams and testing. She was almost downright approachable... well she was still herself but she wasn't constantly spitting venom at the various staff members whenever they passed her cell. After a few months, she received notice of a potential parole hearing, catching her off guard.
Despite her supposed change, Leslie still had contempt of the system and authority figures, which really dragged out her parole hearing. It wasn't until her lawyer brought forward the truth about the particle accelerator as evidence for her change that she started to put the pieces together that what happened wasn't her imagination. She slowly warmed up to cooperating with the process, but was faced with some harsh choices. A number of programs of very restrictive options that wouldn't let her use her powers at all, feeling like it was just being bottled up again Leslie asked if that was all she had available to her, which angered the hearing. After waiting another few weeks just when she thought they were ready to deny her parole, she was approached with an offer, though it had a catch or two. An offer came from The Champions, their leader Robot. For one, she had to use her powers for the betterment of society and to protect the safety of the public, which was what she wanted heroes to do anyways. Secondly, because of the inability to keep track of her with GPS with a physical tracking device, she would have to be blasted with a tracible isotope. It wasn't a hard choice for her, either be chained down for an unknown period of time and not even be able to breath with her powers or a steady job where she could use her powers. Leslie mulled it over for a few days, figuring it was better than the parole options given to her by the prison board or volunteering for Waller's Suicide Squad to cut down on her time.
During the release, there was a brief thought that ran across her mind as the power collar came off. She could run now and not need to deal with Robot and his "Champions". Had she not been purged of her instability, she would have acted on this impulse without hesitation. Despite her officially joining the Champions to become a "hero", she was honest that her criticism towards heroes wouldn't stop. While it was work, she felt like something was missing. Bored out of her skull, Leslie put together a new blog "Sparks", this one based on genuine journalism of the super community. Although she was still her cynical self, nothing she said was poison, fiction or a conspiracy theory. It didn't attract anywhere the same amount of attention as her old persona did, only some of her original fanbase flocking to her. Livewire was the guest on a few podcasts and late night talk shows, mostly by those critical of her. She let them swing and say their piece, typical of a hostile competitor in her old life. Livewire kept her cool, keeping concise but strong with her answers, slowly beginning to turn the tide of her support in the public eye. Though she has to keep dealing with fringe conspiracy people she used to chip in with putting out theories that she is either brainwashed, a robot or a clone.
Role Play Sample:
(7 PM EST) A techno beat hit as blue electricity flashed across the screen. Livewire appeared, dressed like a homebody in a hoodie and shorts. "You're watching Sparks! The show where we poke holes into the world of super powered beings and related topics. I'm Livewire coming straight out you from the internet. Today's topic is..." Livewire started, only to pause and look at her script. "Aliens." She made air quotes with her hands before running her hands through her blue hair. "Now I get where some people are coming from... freaking aliens and all. They can look Human in appearance like the big blue boydork and his... relative. And then there are the ones that actual fit the definition of alien, green skin or some weird thing that us Humans don't typically have." Livewire rolled her eyes for the camera before pinching wriggling her discolored hand in front of the camera to prove a point. "We're all super lucky that Superman isn't some intergalactic conqueror. As much as I bash the guy for hesitating to pull the trigger on stuff or the amount of villains he has that are results of him doing his job... I don't think he's playing the long con to be Emperor of Earth, sorry conspiracy theorists. To be perfectly honest, the magical shit I've heard about worries me more than what's out there." Livewire paused. "I asked when I first joined up on this side of things, because honestly I didn't have any experience with either subject. From my understanding, when a space baddie comes to Earth, usually its a big ship, maybe not Independence Day big but... something flashy. Easy to spot and take care of. Magical stuff... oof. That can just spring up like, oops suddenly zombies or inverted gravity because magic doesn't care about science."
"A magical space alien would really suck though, they could just pop in anywhere and start meddling without warning. Though I think some members of the magical community might be attuned to the force or whatever." Livewire then crossed her eyes as she mocking made a meditation stance with her arms. "Anyways... time to read and respond to some comments." Livewire said as she perked up for the camera, her eyes wandering off camera to a monitor, skimming for people who dropped money to have their voice heard. "Would you ever work with Superman?" Livewire read. "I feel like people ask this question every other week expecting a different answer. That's the definition of insanity by the way. Just like before, if you haven't seen the video its out there. Instead of just pulling my noisy idiot ass off the roof, he was trying to talk me down and didn't want to just yoink me off because he was probably afraid of offending me or something. I'd rather him just act first and apologize later, they might complain but they'll be alive and well. I'd work with him, wouldn't like it. I'd be professional to a fault, but I really don't want to talk about the accident or get an apology, I just want him to save people and beat up the badguys that deserve it." Livewire finished as another comment drew her attention.
"What's your opinion on other villains going the same route you did?" Livewire read, pausing to think. "Power to them I guess? If its a science thingy like what was wrong with me, definitely have no issue especially if there's lots of documentation. But a literal blood stained psychopath with hundreds of murders... eh probably not?" She shrugged. "Its a slippery slope, I might have maimed or zapped people but I never killed anyone, at least not directly to my knowledge. Most of my MO was breaking stuff. So I think the world can be a bit more forgiving to those so called villains who have a reality check and trade in their bad guy union cards. Take it from my experience that it sucks being on the run, especially if some big hero has their sights set out for you. If you're a villain tuning in and you've been questioning what you've been doing or think you need help with your science or magical equivalent of a rash that won't go away that's your reason for being insane, there are people that can do it without screaming and calling the police right away. Yeah it'll probably mean jail or some special cell for awhile, you might get help or at least open up your options." Livewire said, looking at the camera as lights flickered around her followed by the sound effect of thunder. "Well that's been today's episode of Sparks, join me tomorrow for our next topic. What the *beep* is Swampthing?"
