Spider Physiology
Gwen was bitten by a radioactive spider when she was 15, which granted her an array of superhuman abilities and arachnid-like abilities. She has honed these new abilities over the past two years through training and crime-fighting.
Spider-sense
A sixth precognative "danger-sense" that makes Gwen alert to potential or immediate danger through a tingling in her head, giving her a warning of several hundreths of a second. This allows her to evade incoming attacks, avoid inmediate dangers or be able to sense when others are in imminent peril. Paired with her incredible reflexes, it makes Gwen incredibly difficult to hit, unless she overrides her instincts or if an enemy has faster reflexes than her. The more severe the danger, the stronger the tingling becomes, even being downright painful at times. Gwen can use it to follow directions, knowing where a potential danger is coming from or where it is occuring. Her Spider-Sense is always active, and can even occur when she is asleep. Fatigue does affect how effective it can be, and the more exhausted Gwen is, the less she can benefit from it.
Wall Crawling
Gwen can affect the attraction between her body and other surfaces to a sub-atomic level. This allows her to stick to pretty much anything, focusing mostly on her hands and feet, with an upper limit of several tons per finger. Gwen can decide how much she sticks to something else, and can also use this ability to glide access surfaces with little to no friction at all
Regeneration
Gwen can heal a lot faster than an ordinary human. A cut from a knife will close swiftly, and her body will recover from damage, as well as toxins, chemicals or poisons, at a higher rate than an average person. She can't regenerate limbs or organs, however, and fatal blows are still fatal.
Superhuman Strength
Gwen possesses a superhuman strength, and can lift approximately ten tonnes of weight.
Superhuman Speed
Gwen can move and run far beyond the natural limits of even the finest human athletes.
Superhuman Stamina
Gwen can exert herself physically for far longer than an ordinary human before fatigue impairs her, due to her advanced musculature producing less fatigue toxins during physical activity.
Superhuman Durability
Gwen's body is physically tougher and more resistant to some types of injury than the body of a normal human, especially in regards to impact damage. She can withstand great physical damage, such as falling from great heights or beung struck by superhuman strength or insane physical forces, that would otherwise kill a normal human.
Superhuman Agility
Gwen's agility, balance, and body coordination are enhanced to levels far beyond the physical limitations of the finest human athletes.
Superhuman Equilibrium
Gwen can reach a state of absolute and perfect equilibrium in any position imaginable. She can adjust her position by instincts, enabling her to balance herself on any object, no matter how small or narrow.
Superhuman Reflexes
Gwen's reflexes are enhanced to a level more than 40 times more than a normal human, which combines with her Spider-Sense to allow her to dodge most attacks, and even gun fire at a far enough distance.

Fighting Prowess
Gwen was taught to fight by her father, and knows a lot of restraints and melee styles from his tutoring. She incorporates her previous training as both a ballerina and a gymnast into her fighting, pairing them with her enhanced reflexes and strength.

The daughter of a police captain, Gwen owns a hyper-analytical mind and a skill for detective work. She knows a lot about police procedures and work, and can decipher clues and riddles with quick thinking and intelligence.
Trained Musician

Trained Ballerina
Gwen studied ballet from a young age up until the point she was bitten and turned into Spider-Woman. She moves with ease and grace, and is very light on her feet.
Trained Gymnast
Gwen was on her school's gymnast team back on Earth-65. It has given her natural balance, reflex and skill, which is further enhanced by her spider powers.
Weapons/Items:
Web Shooters
Gwen created these wrist-mounted bracelets to further enhance her abilities. They trap moisture from the air and turns it into a web-like fluid, which can be fired to create web ropes, nets and globules. Appearance

Physical Appearance:
Gwen is a short, lean girl, standing at 5'5" and weighing around 125lbs. Her body is light and muscular, partly from her spider-powers but also kept in shape by routine exercise and general activity surrounding her role as Ghost-Spider. Her blonde hair goes through plenty of changes, though currently she keeps it shoulder-length with a long fringe, messy and light in a "I don't really care" kind if way.
Clothing and Armor:
Spider-suit
The suit is incredibly lightweight and durable, granting Gwen another layer of protection, as well as being heatproof and insulated. It can extend from beneath her arms to create web-wings, allowing her to glide from one building to the next.
Personality
Sexual Orientation:
Bisexuality
General Personality:
Gwen is a smart, brave and loyal girl, quick to action when needed and swift to defend herself when she feels put on the back foot. She takes her role seriously, putting her own life on the line to be a Superhero, while also trying to juggle her own personal life in the meantime. One could say Gwen takes on too much, but she knows what she wants from life and never half-asses anything.
Gwen is a fairly sarcastic and quick-witted individual, with wicked sense of humour and thin-skinned enough to take a joke herself. She can verge on not taking situations seriously, or at least seeming that way, and has rubbed many villains and heroes alike in the wrong way.
Gwen is intelligent, both with street-smarts and learnt knowledge. She has a mind for science, especially physics and biology, theoretical research and a growing talent for Multiverse studies. Gwen can pick up new skills and talent easily, learning new subjects with speed and precision. She can strategist on reflex during combat or tense situations, keeping opponents on their toes with fast changing tactics or thinking on her feet to counter dangerous situations.
Gwen is a fairly calm person, and isn't easily shaken. She does find anger comes to her quickly, especially if people try and hold some form of control over her, tell her what to do, or makes her feel small. She strives to be her own person, to do what she wants and get the most of life, and anyone in her way can be met with biting words or foul tempers.
Gwen is slow to warm up to new people. She has lost too much to start finding friends or loved ones, and every death or loss has been a knife wound to her soul. She has made a few friends, but Gwen is cautious to reveal her true self, both behind her mask and her true personality. In that sense, Gwen is fairly delicate, better at pushing people away with sarcasm or hard words than letting people in.
Face/Voice:
Emma Stone
Anything Else
Gwen often stands on the tips of her toes without thinking about it, a habit gained from her ballet days that she never shook.

History:
Gwendolyn Maxine Stacy was born to Helen and George Stacy, the latter an up-and-coming police officer in the NYPD. Through a series of events, Gwendolyn (who would be called Gwen from as soon as she was old enough to start demanding things) lost her mother before she was old enough to even remember her. George raised her from a baby on his own, becoming incredibly protective over his only daughter and only family left alive.
Gwen grew up fairly rebellious. A childhood of being coddled made her more inclined to reject authority, and she would push back against her father, then teachers and adults in general, as she grew older. Her outlets were the loud and obnoxious kind; it started with drums, and she soon became obsessed with them. Gwen was a fierce and riotous drummer, joining many bands between the age of six and fourteen, before settling with the Mary Jane's before her life changed direction for better or worse.
Gwen was a smart kid, and grew into an even smarter teenager. She took to science and mathematics like a spider to a fly, absorbing and devouring all information that came her way. Her father managed to persuade her into ballet during school, and she begrudgingly learnt that, as well as gymnastics, "normal" music and enough to see her in the very top percentage of grades by the time she entered Junior High. Her attitude and general sarcastic, abrasive personality in the face of authority clashed with her amazing grades and intelligence, and it left her father and many teachers scratching their heads. What could be done with this rebellious girl?
Gwen didn't know either. She pushed against what people wanted for her, experimenting and crossing as many boundaries as she could. She cut her hair, brought home both boys and girls to her father's chagrin, played loud music and joined a variety of high school punk bands. It was as if she was being guided to be something already decided for her, and she wasn't sure what she wanted. All she knew is that she wanted it to be her choice. Gwen would be the champion of her own fate.
When she was 15, Gwen was interning with Oscorp as a lab assistant. She found herself in a restricted area of the labs where specimens were kept, namely arachnids that were being experimented on. Gwen accidently released one of them, which bit her on the hand, sending pain throughout her body. Over the next few days she began to feel strange changes taking place in her body. Her muscles became more pronounced, and her strength grew exponentially. Gwen could sense danger, leap from buildings without harm and, strangest of all, stick to walls like a spider.
It was the beginning of a new chapter of her life. Gwen made herself a suit, crude in its first iterations, and started using her power to stop criminals on the streets. This garnered attention from the police, of which her father was put onto investigating this mysterious masked Vigilante. Gwen juggled school, music, home life and her secret identity as Spider-Woman with growing difficulty.
It wasn't until a friend and fellow intern of hers, Peter Parker, decided to take stopping Spider-Woman into his own hands. He consumed experimental liquid from Oscorp to give himself superpowers, turning him into the Lizard. He clashed with Spider-Woman, both unaware of the other's identiy, and after a fierce fight Gwen accidently killed Peter, who transformed back into his human form after the Lizard was defeated. Gwen shared her identity with Peter, who was filled with regret in his final moments.
Spider-Woman was the number one target for the NYPD after that, especially from a newly appointed Captain Stacy. Life became hard for Gwen. She was becoming more stressed, finding it harder to keep her secret from her dad. Gwen was gaining attention from bigger villains as well, especially after fighting and defeating several powerful and prolific names in the underground criminal world. Those villains that she had put away had banded together, creating the Sinister Six; Doctor Octopus, The Vulture, Electro, Hobgoblin, Living Brain and Mysterio. They launched a joint attack on Spider-Woman, and in the chaos Captain Stacy was killed.
Gwen found him at his last moments, and shared her identity with him, that she had been scared he would push her away if he knew. He told her he would be proud of her no matter what, and that she just needed to use her power for good. His last words echoed around her head as he died.
"With great power comes great responsibility..."
Spider-Woman turned to face the Sinister Six, but they had a plan up their sleeve. Doctor Octopus had created a device to stop her once and for all, a Multiverse bomb that dragged any and everything in its vicinity from this world. Gwen couldn't avoid taking the brunt of the bomb, sacrificing herself to save a handful of civilians and policemen that would otherwise be absorbed by the device.
Gwen was catapulted from her world into this one, finding herself on the familiar yet uncannily unfamiliar streets of New York. Her friends were gone, anyone who knew her had vanished from this place. Still equipped with her Spider-suit, Gwen simply adopted a new name; Ghost-Spider. While there were other heroes in this world, and even other Spider-people, namely one Spider-man who operated in New York.
Gwen crossed paths with Spider-man on several occasions, but always tried to keep a low profile. She was feeling a strong discomfort within her soul, a person displaced from her own world, and looked towards working with a laboratory who were investigating this sort of dimensional anomaly. Without a history on this world, it would be difficult. So it was luck that Gwen crossed paths with a member of the Justice League, a hero named Black Canary.
For Gwen, her idols in music had always been women. Strong, fiesty people who fought against the standard culture of music and pushed themselves into a world that wasn't easy for them. So to find someone like Black Canary, who also doubled as a musician, felt like fate. Gwen worked with her on a few missions as a sidekick of sorts, tagging along to prove she wasn't just a nobody in this world.
Black Canary helped Gwen set herself up properly in New York, and vouched for her to enter the young group, the Champions. She found her a job in Horizon Labs, working on dimensional travel and Multiverse Research, where she met and befriended one Peter Parker.
Gwen now lives in New York, with a job, a purpose and a growing list of friends, from Spider-Man to Black Canary, Peter Parker, and the other members of the Champions. She is still trying to find a way home, but she is no longer in a rush. It is her fate to decide, and she will follow her own path without anyone telling her what to do.
Role Play Sample:
High above the city. Not her city, not really. Gwen crouched on the edge of one of New York's many buildings, staring down at the sprawling city below. All was silent, in that noisy way cities were. Wind whipped around her, the sound of traffic and life filling her ears. Gwen closed her eyes for a moment.
How much did she have to tie her here? What could bring her back home? The answer was the same for both. She rose to her feet, balancing on her toes as she looked down at the blanket of lights that lay scattered at her feet.
The only thing was her. What else was there? She stared down at the white mask in her hand, and smiled to herself. This universe or the next, Gwen would simply make her own destiny. Right? Right.
She pulled the mask across her face, stepping right up to the edge of the parapet. Gwen took a deep breath, feeling her spider-sense buzzing within her head. There was always trouble, and where trouble was, Ghost-Spider wouldn't be far behind.
Slowly, Gwen allowed herself to fall forward until gravity took her. She was free-falling, the wind tearing at her body as she fell. Gwen was laughing with exhilaration as she pointed her fingers towards the nearest surface, shooting a rope of web and grabbing hold tight.
She was here, right here and now. That was all that mattered!
