Kent let Betsy vent. She needed to work herself through this. There was so only so much a lecture from an old codger could accomplish, and with Betsy Braddock at that. He took the time to enjoy some more of his biscuits and tea. There was no judgments from Kent's eyes, nor approval or disapproval. Merely their presence. When she was finished, Kent took one more sip of his herbal, for good measure.
"If it is any consolation to you, Betsy, I do not charge by the hour. More importantly, this is something that friends may do, when they are so inclined." He smirked, allowing himself that moment, and nothing more. He moved his head forward, whispering closely enough that Betsy could hear it through her distress.
"It is fortunate, then, that you have friends who do not require constant reassurances of your bond. Now - how about we call one of your teammates? Meggan, perhaps? If you need a push..." Kent leaned back. If Betsy looked up, she would see that he had his phone out and was already texting. He didn't appear to have sent anything - yet.
"I could do that for you." Another smirk.

Betsy raised her head, eyes focusing on Kent's phone as his fingers danced a dance across its surface. She grinned wickedly despite her previous lamentation, lifting herself off the table and sitting back in her chair.
"Bloody hell, Kent. If this is isn't even a therapy session, then I'd pay money to see how you treat your clients!"
Betsy knocked back the remainder of her tea, took a deep breath, then nodded. She was ready to take her life back. Kent had dredged up plenty of thoughts and feelings that had been left to accumulate dust in the recesses of her mind, but that Betsy was ready to wipe off and bring back into the light. Friends. Family. That was important. Meggan, Brian, Vera, the X-Men gang, even members of Excalibur. She wondered if someone like Rupert would be adverse to her dropping in unannounced.
"Right. Do it. Push me right off the side. I'm done running from this."
