Kako's shoulders would loosen at the explanation. Looking to Jet for confirmation, the man would give a soft and nonchalant shrug. He meant well, but wasn't particularly a fan of being so upfront about his feeling. Kako understood the undertones well enough. "Hmmm, good." She spoke with her eyes playfully bouncing between the two. Jet leaned to one side, pondering if he should get to business in front of Shinja... She was trustworthy, but it didn't mean everything needed to be out in a frontal view. Shinja was a member of the dusk agency, a pack of blood hound detectives...
"While I did come to confirm you're okay. I did want to tell you, with Osaka and Kyoto's crime rates dropping, away missions like this will probably become more common. We may even be able to push the NJPD's culture to other cities and have more citizen ran neighborhood watches." It was said in a way to not flip any red flags. "Means you younger members will be getting more seat time per se."
"Sounds good! Hopefully they send me to places I'm familiar with." Kako saluted with a giggle. "Well, I was just talking to Shinja about home. Wanna come over to the city, senpai? -Osaka, I mean." The girl would jingle keys in front of Shinja's face, before sliding one off the chain and gifting her bestie with a spare key to her place. "It's kinda spur of the moment, but we can get there pretty fast if you guys fly. Plus you've got to see if that spare key works"
Jet would simply chuckle. "The train has too many stops. I'm sure we'll save time if we fly."

Shinja listened to Jet with some discomfort, but didn't say anything. She had to have an open mind... if not for Kako's sake, then for her own. What good was it being a hero, if you went after the wrong people? Kako, Jet and the NPJD just wanted to help others around them. They didn't have the license, but did that matter? Shinja swallowed, trying not to pass judgement just yet. With a face of shear determination, an internal struggle raging within her, she firmly nodded.
"Y-yes! Absolutely. I'm keen to meet your new friends again!"
She looked at Jet, eyes trying to figure him out before she stopped herself, closing them, squeezing her fists. Trust... trust in Kako, trust in her friends. Shinja opened her eyes, smiling.
"Sure. We can be in Osaka in no time. Kako, are you coming with me, or Jet? Although... can you carry her on your back with your Quirk?"
Shinja curiously motioned to Jet's back engine. She had fought what she assumed to be his sister, back at the Mountain, and their quirks seemed fairly incompatible with passengers. She weighed up Kako in her mind, tall but slender. Could she carry her on her back all the way to Osaka?

Kako shuffled her feet to quickly clean the dishes. If they were going to leave, she may as well set the kitchen up exactly how she walked in. Her parents would like notice the missing fruit, but oh well. Jet gave a confused expression while mimicking Shinja pointing to his back. "Ummm?" Kako would quickly give context since Shinja had never seen his quirk before.
"Jet can't hold anyone that isn't flame resistant. He's about as fiery as fire can get." She chuckled before continuing. "Since I don't want to burn to a crisp, I'd need to ride with you, senpai."
Jet would transform his hand fully into a hand of flames. "My quirk is called flame body. I can transform directly into fire itself. It's nothing like my sister's propulsions or my grandfather's remote jetfighters." He quickly frowned and deactivated his quirk, realizing he'd accidentally brought up a sore subject. He needed to watch his words around Shinja.

Again, there was a slight bristling as Jet mentioned his sister and grandfather... but then she laughed, slapping a hand to her forehead.
"Of course! I should have realised you'd have the same sort of Quirk as her. Yeah... she was amazing."
Talk about awkwaed conversations. His sister was now an amputee after Nocturne had dealt with her, and Shinja and seen his grandfather die right in front of her. She gave him a slightly awkward smile, then looked across at Kako.
"Yosh! Then it's time you see your senpai's true potential! You may be as fast as me, but that's nothing to how high I can fly!"
Shinja tossed her helmet, which included goggles, across to Kako. She pulled out a spare pair (she always carried two, in case of passengers or damages) and strapped them over her eyes.
"Jet... I reckon even with Kako, I can beat you there. Are you confident in your Quirk?"
Shinja shot him a wink, a thumbs up, a grin. She was desperately pushing through the bad blood that lay between them.

Kako quickly geared up. Jet chuckled, noticing it wasn't her first rodeo. As the gang moved outside, Kako would hop aboard Shinja's back, tucking her legs up to account for the heigh difference. "READY!" She chirped.
Jet smiled when Shinja was able to pivot. Guess she was a good friend after all. He's pull his arms out of the jump suit, and tie it around his waist. Sliding his own goggles over his eyes, Jet let the flames dance along his body in a partial transformation. "Well the only way to find out is to put your words into action. I'm older than you, but I'm no slouch." With a flap of his wings, flaming wings were conjured as he blasted upwards. His form would become more like that of a bird as he soared upward. "Transformation: Pheonix."
