Enhanced Brain Activity
At one point, Slade offered himself as a volunteer for an experiment to awaken the metagenes sleeping inside him, and he became a part of the Enhanced Soldier Initiative. This caused his brain to evolve rapidly, enhanced his mental capacity, and caused his mind to operate at peak efficiency, nine times beyond that of an ordinary man. All this gave Deathstroke access to his brain functions on a cellular level, granting him enhanced physical attributes. It also strengthened his mind, giving him an indomitable will and, therefore, less likely to fall victim to such things as mind control.
Enhanced Senses
Deathstroke's senses are incredibly sharp, allowing him to sense subtle shifts in the air. His hearing will enable him to hear frequencies otherwise undetectable to humans, as does his sense of smell, vision, and touch. Blinding Slade is not a sure way to win; if anything, it might make him more dangerous.
Superhuman Body
Deathstroke's body has been dramatically augmented over several years, heightening it to a superhuman level. He is strong enough to easily snap a sword in half and fight heroes like Wonder Woman. Due to his superhuman strength, Deathstroke can leap incredible distances from a standing position, far greater than any average human could. He can also resist incredible amounts of kinetic impact forces that could easily crush or kill a human without suffering any serious external or internal injuries. The fact that he remained standing after a blow from Superman is a testament to his durability. Deathstroke is fast enough to outrun a moving vehicle easily and can take on speedsters in combat, having battled The Flash a few times. His reflexes are such that he can dodge gunfire from point-blank range and catch arrows and daggers thrown at him from behind without looking. Lastly, Deathstroke can easily exert himself for an extended period without tiring while wearing heavy body armour.
Abilities
"I've been around for a long time, and I've seen a lot of people come and go. But the one thing that never changes is that people never change."
Acrobatics
Deathstroke is a master acrobat. He is highly agile and is capable of performing skilful acrobatic manoeuvres in combat.
Aviation & Driving
Slade knows his way around aeroplanes and is an excellent pilot when needed, even if he has to drive and fight simultaneously. The same goes for vehicles on the ground, such as cars or tanks.
Disguise & Deception
As an assassin, Deathstroke found disguise helpful. Studying psychology also gave him an edge regarding deception and the ability to get under the skin of his opponents and victims.
Escapology
Keeping Slade trapped for an extended period has proven difficult. If given enough time, he can break free from most cuffs, cages, or traps. Once, he could escape high-tech meta-human handcuffs with only a paperclip.
Genius Level Intellect & Eidetic Memory
While Slade does not outwardly display his intellect like some of the world's other great minds, he is still brilliant. Deathstroke is a tactical genius who possesses vast knowledge across various areas and an Eidetic Memory. Batman has even argued that Slade is on an equal level to him in terms of strategic planning. Batman described his mind as a super-computer designed to process information and break it down with superior tactical and strategic thought. This, not his sword, is Deathstroke's most dangerous weapon. He can also quickly understand abstract subjects like speed force or magic. Slade also speaks Greek, Mandarin, Hejazi Arabic, and French.
Hunting
Deathstroke hunts in his spare time. He has an entire trophy room full of the heads of the animals he's killed.
Infiltration
Deathstroke is a master of stealth. He can silently assassinate people without making a sound. He knows how to get into places without being noticed or triggering alarms. But, he can also be charming when he needs to be, getting information out of people as and when required.
Interogation & Inditimdation
Slade usually gets answers from people, one way or the other. He is no stranger to different methods of torture and intimidation. This, in combination with his understanding of how the mind works, makes it possible to find the right spots to push to get someone to "spill the beans." His ability to do this was so great that he could be considered a worthy member of the Sinestro Corps.
Investiagtion
Deathstroke is a keen observer and expert detective.
Martial Arts & Weapons Specialist
Deathstroke is a master martial artist capable of quickly identifying weak points in an opponent to fight them most efficiently. Slade mastered almost every form of combat known to man in about one year under the tutelage of his ex-wife, Adeline Kane. His most deadly form of martial arts is known as Dim Mak, where you strike vital points of the opponent's body, causing paralysis, intense and prolonged pain or death. In the right circumstances, these could even work for Superman. He's been able to go toe to toe with some of the world's greatest fighters, including Batman, Green Arrow, and Deadshot and was able to keep up with the likes of Ra's al Ghul. Outside of Martial arts, Deathstroke is a specialist in most kinds of weaponry, be it blades, firearms, explosives, gadgets, or fencing.
Weapons/Items:
The Deathstroke
An ancient Scottish war blade and Slade's first and favourite sword. At some point, Cobra had Promethium forged into the blade, making it more durable and capable of absorbing all forms of energy, including magic. It can also cut through nearly anything, not Superman... yet.
Various Firearms
"Ever seen a napalm drop at night? Most beautiful thing in the world"
Slade has used a variety of different firearms in combat, including pistols, assault rifles, and sniper rifles.
Knives
Slade has used various knives in combat, including combat knives, daggers, and throwing knives.
Nunchucks
Dual Katanas
Appearance
"I can hear your heartbeat. I can hear your breath. I knew you were coming before the thought entered your head."
Physical Appearance:
Deathstroke is a tall, slender man with grey/white hair and a full beard. He is missing his right eye and wears an eyepatch; the remaining eye is blue.
Clothing and Armor:
His armour is primarily black and grey, with goldenrod greaves and gauntlets. He wears a matching goldenrod mask with a scanner where his missing eye should have been.
Ikon Suit
Deathstroke wears a suit of Promethium-lined armour called the "Ikon Suit." It uses a point defence mechanism called gravity to sheathe that when attacked, hardens specific areas of the suit struck to protect the wearer from impacts such as bullets and blunt trauma. The suit is powered by kinetic energy, and thanks to his enhanced speed, agility, and reflexes, Slade can keep it charged simply by moving. This energy absorption feature is effective enough to endure punches from Superman, allowing Slade to take potentially lethal attacks and stay standing.
Personality
"You depend on others for your strength. I, depend on no one."
Sexual Orientation:
Heterosexual
General Personality:
Deathstroke is an enigma to both allies and enemies. He's almost always extremely calm and composed; nothing surprises him because he can hide his genuine emotions so virtually no one can read him. He likes to keep his true personality and feelings to himself and the privacy of his own family, even around them. That is not to say that Slade Wilson is not a complicated man because he is. Slade has a difficult time expressing his feelings. The lack of this has made him neither a good father nor a good husband. But he does care a great deal about his children, and even if it is difficult for him to show them, he's not as heartless in that regard as people would like to paint him. He's by no means a "monster"; he's human, and the death of his son, Grant, continues to haunt him to this day.
Deathstroke does have his kind of honour, operating under a strict code of ethics, and is capable of great devotion. He always sought to protect those who have been close to him and would not hesitate to lay down his life in exchange for theirs; he does not fear death. Yet his sense of morality is flawed, making it possible for him to kill without guilt. If anything, Slade believes in using deadly force and, at times, has acted as judge, jury, and executioner for those he deems without honour or worth. On the other hand, he values physical and mental hard work, dedication, and strength. He's more likely to respect someone facing him bravely, even if afraid, than if they try to run.
However, Slade can be somewhat particular about the jobs he chooses, often turning down jobs that would compromise his moral compass, such as it is. Rare as it might be, Slade has aided heroes if he believed in their cause, but such times are few and far between. At the same time, he is no stranger to missions that would cause great disgust in most people, be they heroes or otherwise.

History:
A Rough Upbringing
Early life was not easy for Slade Wilson; he was regularly abused by his father, Charles. Slade's mother wasn't in his life, having abandoned him and his father and later committed suicide. Even if there were times when Slade wanted to escape or run away from his father, he couldn't afford to and instead chose to suffer through his father's abuse until he came of age to enlist. During his school years, he was also a fencing team member.
He joined the U.S. Army at seventeen, lying about his age to enlist. He proved to be an exceptional soldier, earning decorations for valour in combat. During his time in the military, Slade met and later married Adeline Kane. Their union resulted in their firstborn son, Grant. He also did light mercenary work, later called "babysitting arms dealers."
ACTH Experiments
The U.S. government decided to try creating more super soldiers to combat the growing threat of meta-humans, mutants, aliens, and other dangerous forces. Slade volunteered for an experimental procedure, one that the government hoped would turn him into such a perfect soldier. This was part of a larger initiative under the umbrella of the Weapon Plus Program, a follow-up to the creation of Captain America as Weapon I. The same version of programs that also created Wolverine, and... Deadpool. Upon first waking, Slade flew into a rage, attacking the soldiers and scientists around him before being subdued. The treatment was unstable, and his body reacted with a fit of hyperadrenalism, resulting in him spending weeks passing in and out of consciousness, watched over by longtime associates William Wintergreen and David Isherwood. Months later, he was able to visit his wife and son but unexpectedly fell unconscious.
He was in a coma for an indeterminate time, only vaguely able to perceive his environment. He later woke up and was given the all-clear; the ACTH program was scrapped, and Slade was given a full pension. After his recovery, Slade took a private security job protecting a rich client but quickly realised that he hated the job. He began sneaking out of his home in the evening, testing his limits in bar fights against ever-growing scores of criminals. After about a month of this, he was arrested. Adeline gave him an ultimatum: choose their son or continue his behaviour.
Slade picked his son...
Birth of Deathstroke
During an outing with Grant, William Walsh, a member of the team working on the ACTH trials, approached him. Walsh revealed that he had been watching Slade and that of the hundreds of men who underwent the ACTH trials, Slade was the only survivor. He explained that all records of the program had been purged, but one of the scientists, Francis Campbell, intended to testify about the experiments to Congress, an action which would put Slade and his family in the firing line. Though he would not reveal his employer, Walsh implied that he represented the U.S. Military and offered Slade a million dollars to 'stop' Campbell from testifying. Slade accepted.
Lying to his wife, he told her he was going on a hunting trip; she reluctantly accepted, hoping the trip would help get Slade back to who he was before the experiments. Slade and his erstwhile cohort travelled to the home of longtime associate David Isherwood, where they obtained an experimental Promethium suit, developed by Isherwood as part of a joint U.S./Canadian military venture using materials created by S.T.A.R. Labs. Though initially unhappy with the suit's mask and gloves, Slade accepted it and proceeded with his mission. Sadly, his mission did not go as planned due to the interface of Green Arrow, who took him on to buy time for Campbell to escape.
Afterwards, Slade began to operate under the Deathstroke identity as a mercenary for hire, eventually becoming known as the world's greatest and deadliest assassin.
Rivarly with Batman
"The chance to fight you is always worth it, Batman."
Deathstroke's first conflict, and the rivalry that came after, came about when he accepted a hit on the current Robin. Just as he was about to fire, Batman intervened, and they fought on the rooftops of Gotham. Slade revealed that his benefactor had paid in advance, showing a green duffel bag filled with money. During the fight, the money scattered, and Deathstroke began laughing uncontrollably because he realised that his benefactor had been The Joker all along. Killing the clown was the next thing on his list, so Deathstroke broke in and attacked The Joker during a poker game, but was once more prevented from finishing the job by the timely intervention of Batman, who saved the clown and forced Deathstroke to once more retreat.
Slade has held a grudge for Batman and The Joker ever since, never backing out of an opportunity to get one over on The Bat or The Clown. Slade also had his first encounter with the organisation COBRA and did a few missions for them; as a reward, they upgraded his Deathstroke sword, making it one of the most deadly weapons in the world. He, however, did not join up with COBRA until several years later, even if he continued to take missions from them over the years, and they continued to keep an eye on him at the same time. Slade was too good an agent to ignore, and it was best to ensure he would not turn against them, or things might become... problematic.
League of Assassins and Birth of Respawn
It was only a matter of time before Slade would attract the attention of Ra's al Ghul and his league of assassins, which came from his connection with David Cain, another of the world's most famous assassins. Slade had never been one for grandiose plans and did not share many of the league's values... at least not at first glance. He did not much care for the new world Ghul was seeking to establish, but money was money, and business was business. So, he began to work with and has remained a part of the League of Assassins ever since, or as much as he is part of any faction. He comes and goes as he pleases but has never been in direct opposition to the League... mainly because they have never given him reason to do so. He also had, and still has, a slight disdain for David Cain's mission to create "One Who Is All", using his daughter Cassandra, viewing the whole business as a waste of time.
Still, he took part in training Cassandra a few times, treating the business as he would when training anyone else. He was also one of few members of the League who knew of the connections between Cassandra and both her parents, not because anyone had told him, but because he figured it out himself over time. He never said anything, and it was not his business, so he saw little reason to dig, but... it was useful to know.
Due to how David treated his daughter, Slade promised NEVER to get any of his children involved with the League of Assassins. He never claimed to win any Father of the Year awards, but that was a line he was not willing to cross, turning his children into weapons out of some misguided attempt to live through them. He would not lean on their success to feel better about himself.
He kept these thoughts to himself, like so much else.
War of Jokes and Riddles
His presence in Gotham would continue when The Riddler hired him to fight The Joker in an ongoing conflict, a war of sorts over who would be given the privilege to kill Batman. Here is where Slade first had a conflict with another of the world's deadly assassins, the sniper Deadshot. Deathstroke and Deadshot fought for a total of five days, killing 62 civilians who were caught in their crossfire before being stopped by Batman.
Slade did not take that lightly, and his dislike of both Joker and Riddler only grew because he had been pulled into that circus of a "war." However, he was not captured and managed to get away from the situation with minor injuries and a newfound respect for Deadshot. He did decide to leave Gotham for a while, feeling that a change of scenery would do him good.
Things also became more complicated in his home life.
Camping with the Boys
Slade and Adeline were also blessed with another son, Joseph. Around the same time, Slade also had a daughter outside of his marriage, Rose. Her mother was a Hmong prostitute, Lilian Worth.
During the son's childhood, Slade decided that he had to bond with them and took them camping in the wilderness. While Joseph enjoyed himself, Grant refused to camp and slept in the car at night, exhausting the car battery and stranding the three in the wilderness in winter. When Slade reprimanded Grant, he snapped at his father before storming off, with Slade and Joseph walking in another direction to find a town. Grant eventually ran into a mother bear. Before the bear could reach him, Slade, having followed Grant, killed it, then scolded his son, partly for not knowing he was intruding upon the bear in the first place and partly for not being able to flee. Before leaving, Slade went to kill the bear cubs nearby, thinking it was better than not having a mother. Still, they managed to get out of the situation... even if it caused the relationship between Slade and Grant to become more rocky than it already was.
It was a few years after this that Slade went on to "rescue" his daughter, Rose, from Vietnam, with her mother dying in the process, while Slade's child with Adeline, Joseph, was kidnapped and had his throat slit by operatives working for the Jackal. The boy survived but lost his ability to speak, and the whole deb uncle disintegrated what was left of Slade's marriage, as Adeline was tired of the lies and held a lot of resentment towards the existence of Rose. Slade tried to bond with his daughter but found it difficult to express himself. At the same time, his relationship with Adeline had reached a point where they couldn't come back; he still loves her to this day but has accepted the guilt of his wrongdoings and has never once tried to get forgiveness because he knows he doesn't deserve it.
He threw himself into providing for his children, ensuring he could meet their physical well-being, even if he could not provide for their emotional well-being. At the same time, the missions became an outlet, a way for him to feel the thrill and forget the other things in his life.
Alliance with COBRA
After his inevitable divorce from Adeline, Slade dove more into his work than ever before, continuing to make a name for himself with ever-growing infamy. It also became less important to keep his identity hidden, and soon, most of the world knew that Slade Wilson was Deathstroke, not that it mattered since all the most dangerous enemies knew it already.
Still, becoming such a public figure made working meaningfully challenging, so Slade accepted the standing invitation to join COBRA. They could provide resources that Deathstroke did not have alone, and he saw several benefits in getting such backing. In return, they would be sure the assassin did not turn against them, as his code would forbid him from turning against his allies. Well, joining might be a bit of a stretch; in the books, yes, but what he has with COBRA is closer to an alliance of shared interests, a traditional you scratch my back, I scratch yours, deal.
Of A.I.M and Champions
What Slade did not know was that the faction known as A.I.M. had been planning to get their hands on him as well, and upon joining with COBRA instead, they decided to attempt to force his hand—doing so by going through Grant and recruiting the firstborn into one of their experiments. Grant was given genetic treatments to grant him abilities similar to his father's, and he took on the name Ravager. This came about at the same time as the formation of the new hero initiative of The Champions, a faction aimed at helping new heroes grow with the support of the older, more experienced.
The treatment Grant had received proved unstable, and during a fight with some of the first members of The Champions, his heart could not keep up and gave out. Following Grant's death, Slade swore a vendetta against The Champions for causing his death and A.I.M. for manipulating him into doing something so foolish.
This vendetta did not stop when his surviving son, Joseph, joined The Champions under the alias of Jericho. On top of that, his daughter Rose began to work as a mercanary-for-hire, largely due to her feeling alienated by Slade's actions and a desire to make a difference in her own way. He disapproved of this but had no current reason to stop her. Even so, the subject of his daughter is a sensitive spot for Slade, and having watched his colleague treat his own, he has made an effort not to mistreat her similarly. He has even spent time training her to defend herself... if she insists on doing things that might endanger her, he wanted to ensure she would not be defenceless.
Unbeknownst to Slade, Ra's al Ghul had seen other uses for his superior DNA as part of his project with his grandson Damian. Ra's al Ghul merged Talia al Ghul's DNA with a sample of the super-soldier formula extracted from Slade Wilson's veins. The result would be used as a guinea pig and even supply Damian with replacement tissue whenever he needed a healthy organ. As his hatred for Damian grew, the young man eventually escaped captivity after Ra's disappeared. Learning about Deathstroke, he adopted the alias Respawn and used a costume similar to his genetic father's while he trained in hopes of meeting his father.
It was as if Slade did not have enough to worry about already.
As he continued to work for COBRA, he began to plan how to get back at The Champions, but he also looked into ways to sabotage A.I.M.
Role Play Sample:
"This is Deathstroke, mission accomplished", Said Slade, finger resting against his com. He paused, listening to the voice on the other end, with his eyes watching the soldiers from COBRA as they were loading up the parts. "Yes, we're collecting the equipment now, and the target has been neutralised. He won't be telling anyone anything. It's going to be..."
"Slade! What is the meaning of this?!"
"I'll have to talk later; we've got a few visitors... Deathstroke out." Slade turned off the comm before turning around. He counted it to be about... ten armed people, not counting... "Hello Penguin..."
"What have you done with my scientist?!"
"Your scientist? I was sure he worked for Wayne, not you, Cobblepot. You're free to take him if you want,". He used his foot to give the dead scientist a push, turning him over onto his back. "Though, I doubt he will be of much use now."
The Penguin looked like he was about to blow a gasket, face turning a not-so-flattering shade of red as the grip around his umbrella tightened. Slade never had many dealings with Cobblepot, so his feelings on the crime boss were neutral. Still, he was there for a job and had no plans of letting the Penguin get in the way.
"Blast it! Well, you won't steal my things... those parts are..."
"Not happening, Cobblepot. Back off," Slade interrupted and smirked slightly as the Penguin's goons stepped forward; he also noticed that his people from COBRA had stopped loading, most of them ready to go for their weapons. "Keep working," Slade said, raising a hand. "Make sure we get everything before the bat shows up; I'll take this dance." It was not what the Penguin wanted to hear because he let out a noise that was a mix of a growl and a squeak. Penguin indeed.
And here Slade had hoped this would be boring.

Accelerated Healing
Deathstroke possesses a greatly accelerated healing rate. His blood clots work at such a high speed that they can stop bleeding in a matter of seconds after an injury has been sustained. The time it takes for complete healing depends upon the wound, ranging from seconds to hours, depending on the level of injury. He can heal from breaking all bones in a matter of hours and can recover from fatal wounds, such as being impaled by a sword. The same is true for other types of damage, such as fire or acids.
Resurrection
While Slade won't survive a lethal blow to the brain, it is possible for his healing ability to go into overdrive after he has died, namely if his immune system somehow gets triggered., in turn, can cause him to come back to life, even from a fatal shot to the head.
Decelerated Aging
Due to his healing ability, Slade has decelerated ageing.
Toxic Immunity
Another bonus from his accelerated healing is his immunity towards poisons, toxins and diseases. Slade's immune system is so strong that it can eliminate most elements threatening his body. Toxins that would be fatal only slow him down, and at most, it will cause his abilities to become those of a "regular" man, as regular as a man like Slade could ever be.
