Powers and Abilities:
Genius-Level Intellect:Stark was one of the smartest humans in the world, surpassing even his late father, Howard Stark, while rivaled only by fellow geniuses like Bruce Banner, Stephen Strange, Hank Pym, Leo Fitz, Jemma Simmons, and Helen Cho. As a result, Stark was known by the nickname "The Da Vinci of Our Time." Stark's genius extended to his prolific mechanical engineering, electronic and electrical engineering, scientific, computer, business, strategic, piloting and linguistic skills.
Master Engineer: Stark was an extremely talented and prolific engineer and robotics technician, having been able to make many complicated inventions at a young age, building his first circuit board at age four, his first engine at age six and Dum-E and U, his personal lab assistants, during his childhood.
Master Scientist: A exceptional scientific prodigy, Tony Stark was ingeniously resourceful, knowledgeable, and brilliant in many different fields of science, particularly physics, but also computer science, chemistry, and neuroscience, having graduated summa cum laude from MIT at age seventeen.
Master Businessman: At the age of twenty-one, Stark took over Stark Industries due to his parents' death, thereby becoming the youngest CEO of a Fortune 500 Company in history. Since then, Stark helped the company grow, and gain more business partners, with Stark Industries eventually becoming the largest tech conglomerate in the world under his leadership.
Master Hacker: Stark was an extremely skilled hacker, as he had managed to crack the Pentagon's firewall on a dare, while still in high school.
Expert Tactician: Stark, while a somewhat brash tactician, every so often made many split-second tactical decisions that either saved people's lives or overpowered his adversaries, though he usually had J.A.R.V.I.S.'s assistance in this.
Expert Combatant: Stark was trained in unarmed combat by Happy Hogan, and became quite formidable on his own without the Iron Man armor when the situation demanded it.
Expert Pilot: Stark demonstrated a strong understanding of aerodynamics and aircrafts, allowing him to perform complex maneuvers while flying in the Iron Man armor while being chased by F-22 Raptors.
Multilingualism: Stark was fluent in his native English, as well as French, Spanish, Italian, Latin, and Dari.

Weapons/Items:
Iron Man Armor: Mark IV
The Iron Man Armor: Mark IV was Tony Stark's fourth Iron Man suit, created to replace the Mark III after it was heavily damaged during the fight with Obadiah Stane. As it was not created with specific upgrades in mind, the Mark IV is very similar to the Mark III with only minor changes such as upgraded weapons capabilities.
Made to serve as a direct replacement for the damaged Mark III armor, the Mark IV carries over many of the same capabilities and functions, while only making a handful of advancements.
As with the previous suits, the Mark IV enhanced the user's physical capabilities, granting them superhuman strength, near bullet-proof durability, and enhanced movement, speed, and reflexes. The suit also carried over the repulsor technology, allowing for sustained flight while also serving as the suit's main weapon. Most notably, the armor improved the central repulsor node of the unibeam, including a thermoplastic lens and a prismatic shutter to focus the beam's light energy.
The Mark IV also carried over the other weapons systems present in the former suit, including multi-fire, computer-targeted mini-guns in each shoulder, high explosive, anti-tank missiles housed in each forearm, and non-weaponized flares contained in two circular launchers located at the suit's hips.
However, even while retaining most of the previous specifications, Stark was able to improve various details of the suit's visible design such as the suit's internal mechanics as well as the design of the metal plating for the arms, legs, and chest to allow for a better fit and more mobility while wearing the armor. This also made it easier to put the suit on and take it off.
Details
Superhuman Strength:The armor increases the user's strength. It allows Stark to easily break concrete walls with a single punch, throw people single-handedly, and lift cars.
Superhuman Durability: The suit is very durable as the shell is constructed from a gold-titanium alloy which allows it to prevent itself from getting covered in ice like the Mark II armor. It can effectively withstand firearm bullets, tank shells, and a collision with an F-22 Raptor. Stark was hit by a tank while flying at 130 miles per hour and crashed to the ground, but came up unharmed. Despite this, the suit still took damage from bullets and created noticeable bullet holes.
Superhuman Speed: The suit allowed Stark to quickly fly from Los Angeles to Northern Africa. Stark was able to quickly navigate the area and move at approximately 130 miles per hour. He was able to surpass the speed of sound while fleeing from two F-22 Raptors.
Superhuman Agility: The suit gave Stark the ability to recover from a strong missile blast throwing off his balance.
Superhuman Stamina: The armor gave Stark the ability to fight terrorists without expending energy.
Superhuman Reflexes: The suit helped the timing of Stark's reactions. He was able to dodge a tank shell easily, doing so in time to avoid getting hit.
Heads-Up Display (HUD): The suit contains a heads-up display within the helmet that can display various metrics and includes a targeting system used during combat situations. The interface is managed by Stark's personal AI, J.A.R.V.I.S. It displays contact information of the person that the suit's wearer is on the phone with, as well as information about the speed the person is flying at relative to the speed of sound. As Stark engaged new features, a display would inform him.
Self-Contained Life-Support System and Environmental Protection: The armor was able to provide life support for its user, even on low power in extreme conditions. Stark used this to his advantage to fly high into the atmosphere, pursued by Obadiah Stane, allowing the life support systems to prevent him from feeling the thinning of the atmosphere.
Cell Service: The user can make phone calls in the suit. Much like any other phone call, it can be hard to hear during high-noise scenarios such as flight.
Flight: The suit is capable of flight by integrating Stark's proprietary repulsor technology. The repulsors in the palms and the bottom of the boots can produce considerable amounts of thrust. The suit is capable of traveling at supersonic speeds. The gold-titanium alloy construction also makes the suit impervious to icing at high altitudes. According to the suit's HUD after dispatching several terrorists, it was recorded at flying at Mach 0.17% (130.44 miles per hour).
Repulsors: The repulsors on the palms are capable of firing blasts of energy as an offensive measure in addition to providing thrust and stability during flight.
Iron Man Armor: Mark V
The Iron Man Armor: Mark V, also known as the Suitcase Suit, was Tony Stark's fifth Iron Man suit. The first suit to specialize in portability and easy access.
Details
Details
The Mark V was designed to be portable while providing the user with the advantages of an Iron Man armor. The suit was made up of a multitude of individual, miniature plates. This resulted in a much lighter suit that was also capable of folding into a briefcase. When the briefcase was activated, Stark inserted his hands into the sockets and lifted the assembly onto his chest. The suit automatically assembled around his body in a matter of seconds.
Superhuman Strength: The armor increases the user's strength, to the point where Stark was able to kick a car out of the way, seemingly effortlessly.
Superhuman Durability: The suit gives its user superhuman durability to a certain degree. However, due to the lighter plating and gaps between the numerous plates, this suit was more vulnerable overall than the other models.
Repulsors: The armor is outfitted with basic repulsor technology, capable of firing high-density energy beams for a concussive attack.
Unibeam: The Arc Reactor in the chest is capable of firing a highly concentrated beam of energy for offensive capabilities.

Appearance
Visual Appearance
Physical Appearance
Tony Stark, despite his nerd disposition, stands at a rather decent 6'1". He has dark brown hair that borders on black when he is outside the reach of natural light. His eyes are a warm brown that can easily go between critical and charming, more so when he looks up through his rather long eyelashes. As for build, Tony's body is well built. He is not Captain America, but he could hold his own in a fist fight if needed.

Clothing and Armor
Tony's clothing choices change like the seasons. There are so few constants. The most common one is that he absolutely refuses to wear any type of dress shoe. At most, one may be able to persuade him out of his vans for a pair of combat boots. Another increasingly common occurrence is his need to wear plain t-shirts under his suit jackets rather than a proper button down. When he is working in his lab, Tony prefers wearing tank tops and sweat pants. Any time he is out and on the town, he is in jeans and some type of comedic top.
For armor, it all comes down to the mission. The Iron Man Suits often allow him to put them on over whatever clothing he was already wearing. His favorite suit is a classic red and gold design.

General Personality:
"Risk-Taker. Perfect. No, notes." - Tony Stark
Tony is confident to a fault. He has worked hard all his life, applying his intellect to many projects and often coming out on top. Even when he talks with people and does business deals, he walks away better for it. Never mind the countless praise he has received from more people than he can remember. Under that, Tony is a very shrewd man with a wicked sense of humor. He would rather let people only see his ego (not that any one could see around its massive size) and it entertains him greatly. Somewhere, buried under rubble, is a heart in his chest.
In his own way, he cares for people. He's turned his whole company's purpose into finding ways to improve the lives of your average American rather than sit and spoil himself. Not that he doesn't spoil himself- Its the principle.

History:
Childhood
Anthony Edward "Tony" Stark was born on Friday, May 29, 1975, in Manhattan, New York City, to Howard and Maria Stark. Stark's early life was often dominated by the absence of his father, who he would later describe as both 'cold' and 'calculating'. Growing up, Stark had issues with Howard, who never told his son that he loved, or even liked him. Since Stark was so young, Howard could not tell his son his plans for him. Howard constantly talked about his admiration for Captain America, which caused Stark to develop hatred and resentment towards the super soldier. His mother, on the other hand, was always kind and nurturing to him. Stark's fondest memory is of her playing the piano for him. He tried to learn from her, but music was never one of his gifts.
At a young age, Stark quickly stole the spotlight with his brilliant and unique mind. When he was four years old, he designed his first circuit board. When he was almost seven, he built a V8 motorbike engine. One thing about Stark's childhood that annoyed him was the nanny who cared for him until he was fourteen. Stark attended Phillips Academy in Andover from 1982 to 1989. While he was in high school, Stark hacked into the Pentagon on a dare by some friends. He was admitted early into Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he met James Rhodes and they became lifelong best friends. At sixteen, Stark won the 4th Annual MIT Robot Design Award, which was his fourth consecutive time winning, after inventing robots which he name Dum-E and U. When he was seventeen, Stark graduated at the top of his class from MIT and was awarded summa cum laude. Twelve hours after arriving home from graduation, Howard talked with Stark, who was outside getting a tan in the pool. Howard pushed his son to start doing things in life, but Tony pushed him away, saying that he has a plan.
In December 1996, when Stark was just twenty-one years old, his parents were in a car accident, killing both of them. Stark was notified of the event the following morning and cooperated with the authorities. As he stood before his parent's caskets, he said that this wasn't part of his plan. For a short while, Obadiah Stane took over as interim CEO of Stark Industries.
A month after the death of his parents, at the age of twenty-one, Stark inherited Stark Industries and took over from Obadiah Stane, becoming the youngest CEO of a Fortune 500 company in history. Having built himself a custom mansion, Stark created an A.I. system that helped out in the house. He named the system "Just a Rather Very Intelligent System," shortened J.A.R.V.I.S., in tribute to Edwin Jarvis, whom Stark had often credited for helping to raise him.
Eventually, James Rhodes, now a member of the United States Air Force, became the liaison between Stark Industries and the United States Armed Forces, successfully earning Stark billions of dollars with military contracts. Under Stark's leadership with the aid of Stane, Stark Industries quickly thrived and became one of the most advanced companies in the world, creating new forms of weapons technology that seemed highly futuristic to most looking on at the weapons.
Leopard Spots
Fate would take a dark turn for Tony Stark once he decided to consult on a weapons contract overseas in enemy terrain. Due to the on going tensions, Northern Africa was quickly becoming a focus point of war and power struggles. This is all due to Black Adam claiming that the area was his Kahndaq and was trying to claim it as was his 'birthright.' An improvised explosive device exploded underneath Tony’s transport, and he was brought to the brink of death.
Awakening as a prisoner of The Children of Adam, Tony made a gruesome discovery: the explosion had sent a piece of shrapnel mere inches from his heart. It was only the timely intervention of fellow captive and engineer Yinsen that kept the shrapnel at bay. While held captive, and forced to work on weapons, Tony turned his near-death experience into inspiration. What if he could power an iron suit that would not only keep the shrapnel from killing Tony, but also help him to escape?
Combining their genius, Tony and Yinsen built a mighty suit of iron armor that would be dubbed Iron Man and, perhaps more importantly, they built Tony's Arc Reactor. This first suit left a lot of room for improvement, but it still did what Tony couldn’t do alone. Yinsen sacrificed his life so the final preparations could be made, and Tony, wearing the Iron Man suit for the first time, escaped and returned to the United States a changed man.
Upon arriving at Stark Industries Headquarters, Stark declared that his company would now, for the foreseeable future, no longer manufacture military weapons, which Stane tried to slow down to the best of his own abilities. As their companies' stock market began to plummet, Stark had a meeting with Stane beside the giant Arc Reactor. Stane advised him to reconsider the decision as he feared it would ruin the company. Stark insisted that they should take another look at the Arc Reactor technology based on his work with Ho Yinsen, proving this theory by showing Stane the Arc Reactor in his chest that was now keeping him alive. Although Stane insisted that the Arc Reactor was designed by Howard and Anton Vanko as a publicity stunt, he eventually agreed to help Stark provided he inform Stane of his next intentions before calling for sudden, unexpected press conferences.
Betrayal
Through media, Stark discovers that there is an event being held and hosted by him. Interested, he decides that he can't technically crash his own party and attends. It is here that he learns through a reporter that Stark Industries is back to making weapons. When confronted about this, Stane refused to answer the question; however, he called Stark naïve for not considering that this sort of thing could possibly be happening. Stane also revealed that he was the one to shut Stark out of the board while he recovered. Stane then left the party, leaving Stark in a state of utter shock and horror over the fact that his close friend betrayed him.
In the months that followed, Stark retreated from public view and spent much of his time in his mansion, focusing on improving the design of his new armored suit, refining its size, movement, and flight capability far beyond the first design. Stark was aided in building the new suit by Dum-E and U. At one point, Stark found Obadiah Stane had joined Potts for pizza having returned from a meeting with Stark Industries' board of directors. Stane informed Stark that the board had decided to block Stark out of the company in the wake of his kidnapping, believing he was now suffering from PTSD. Stark argued the decision but was told it was final, with Stane then requesting to take a look at the Arc Reactor technology, which Stark refused to do.
Angered, Stark ended up weaponizing his newest version of his suit, the Mark III, and took to handle things on his own. He tracked down the latest shipment of Stark weapons and completely destroyed it while also assisting civilians with their aggressors. Stark wouldn't ever think of this as heroic, but those who would were there would. Stark would later note that since his kidnapping he had finally learned what he was meant to do with his life.
While inside his mansion, Stark attempted to answer a call from Potts when he found himself unable to move. To his horror, he found Obadiah Stane looking down on him while using a Sonic Taser. Stane confessed that he had arranged Stark's kidnapping while he ripped out the Arc Reactor from Stark's chest, causing him to go into cardiac arrest. Stane mocked Stark by comparing him to his father while promising to kill Potts before walking away.
Having regained some control of his body, Stark desperately tried to make it to his workshop to regain his original Mark I Arc Reactor to save his life. However, Stark collapsed inches away from it and was unable to move and minutes from death. But to save his life, Stark was aided by Dum-E and U who had managed to hand Stark the Arc Reactor just in time. Stark was then found by James Rhodes who he explained the situation to while being helped back up.
This all resulted in a brutal fight between Stark in his Iron Man suit and Stane in his own power armor. In the end, Tony managed to get Potts to overload the Arc Reactor they were brawling above, sending out an electric shock that fried both pieces of armor. Stane fell down into the reactor, causing a massive explosion. Stark only barely managed to hold on to deal life.
I Am Iron Man
The next morning, news had spread of Stark's new alter ego, dubbed "Iron Man" by the press. Stark then held a press conference where Agent Coulson gave him a detailed fabricated cover story about his and Stane's whereabouts and advised him to state that Iron Man was his personal bodyguard. However, during the course of the conference, in a moment of self-clarity, Stark instead announced to the public that he himself was indeed Iron Man.
Justice League
The Battle of New York changed the course of Tony's future. While he had been going about his peace missions here and there, nothing was quite on the scale of a full-on battle for both Earth and his city. Not one to shy away from a challenge and certainly not one to simply stand by, Tony threw himself into the combined heroic efforts to save as many as they could while repelling the attack. Many of these heroes and heroines were ones he had only heard about or seen in the paper.
One of keen intellect and sound mind, Tony quickly made himself noticed and climbed toward the top of the not-quite-established chain of command. While he did not take the lead (because who would trust him with it), Tony did keep track of his own section. When the dust settled, an invitation (one of many) was extended to him. Rather than take them up on their Justice League, Tony turned it down in favor of continuing his lifestyle as a solo act.
In the coming months, he would agree to help contract the creation of the Watch Tower in combination with several other tech companies. Now, as time has worn on and sickness has started to settle within him, Tony is beginning to question his past self and the choice to turn down the Justice League. Perhaps, just this once, he couldn't solve everything on his own.
Role Play Sample:
"That's it. I'm done. I give up. This cannot be done." There is the sharp clack of something expensive hitting a rather hard surface and Tony Stark rolls away from his workstation, hands in the air. His mouth is in a hard line as his chair spins a bit from the force.
"Sir-"
"No, JARVIS," Tony interrupts, shaking his head before gesturing at his project with an accusing finger. "It cannot be done. I am the smartest man I know and I can not complete it."
There is a pause before JARVIS tries again, voice weary. "Sir, you gave me a direct order to ensure you kept up this project."
"I changed my mind. Past me was an idiot. We all know past me is an idiot. Why would you even listen to him? Inventing Time Travel would be easier than this." Tony crosses his arms over his chest, closing his eyes and slouching in his chair. His well-aged vans plant on the ground as if in preparation for being physically pushed back to his workstation.
"Alright, Sir. As they say, three strikes, and you're out." Stark's eyes snap open at that phrasing before he's looking up at the ceiling. Everyone knows AI live in the ceiling.
"No, wait. JARVIS-" Music starts to swell over the speakers, but Tony can still hear the telltale sound of his workshop door locking. His chair rolls as he pushes himself to his feet. "JARVIS, I mean it. Stop."
JARVIS only turns up the volume and lyrics start to burst out of the speakers despite Tony's shouts.
"We're no strangers to love. You know the rules and so do I (do I)."
