Appearance

Physical Appearance:
5'3" with attitude, Wildcard is slim but athletic... some have compared her to a mangy dog, before they got stabbed of course. She might look wirey at a distance, but she's mostly tight muscle with very little bodyfat. Wildcard carries herself tall despite her short stature, never slouching... but she often looks a bit like Gollum from Lord of the Rings when she starts crouching and getting a little knife happy. Her hair is short, blond, a little bit long in the back, enough that she can style it a little bit. Wildcard's eyes are a chilling icy blue, one of the few things that people manage to say about her, you'll never see fear from her. Overall, she doesn't look intimidating at first glance, more like an angry middle school girl at best, but once she gets a fraction of the crazy out, you'll understand why.
Clothing and Armor:
Black. If its not black, then at least some shade of grey or dark blue. She likes tight fitting clothing, but not ridiculous superhero spandex bodysuits, preferring leather. You'll often catch her wearing black leather pants, usually with some side cuts to let her skin breath, maybe a leotard or croptop usually with a jacket over it that looks like she jacked it off of a biker, coming off like Arnie from one of the Terminator movies. She wears stylish futuristic looking sunglasses when traveling, only taking them off when its time for business. Her shoes are all function, specially designed by top men for a mixture of urban and wilderness, outside of cold and snowy environments. In tropical environments, she treats them more like a vacation, sometimes only wearing a bikini with some kind of loose overclothing.
For formal events, she won't mind wearing a dress if its a paid gig. For press events and the occasional team up, she does have an actual government designed sleek black combat bodysuit, though she typically blends into the background when compared to other more flashy figures.
Personality
Sexual Orientation:
Bisexual.
General Personality
Wildcard can be very professional to a degree, almost in a chilling in her focus. She can come across as childish, but does have a solid level of respect for chain of command, people that run the show, but not for grunts on a equal level with her. But when she's not out on the field, Wildcard is addicted to video games and anime... not having much of a childhood to enjoy. Don't interrupt or turn her stuff off, she will stab you like a stone cold killer and watch you bleed out. Wildcard has almost no hesitation to kill, whether it be for money, for the job or maybe because someone called her a bitch. She will go to great lengths to kill someone especially its out of spite, even if that means crashing vehicles, destroying an entire building, even setting off a bomb. She's not so insane or arrogant to think herself invincible, she knows her limits.
Despite all of her homicidal tendencies, she prefers not to harm kids or if possible random people that get caught up in shit, which she calls NPCs aka people she is somewhat dismissive of. She doesn't really listen to anyone unless they have rank or pay the bills, going so far as to mock them for thinking they're important. Wildcard has a tendency to headbutt or punch people in the nose if they're talking smack to her when she's in one of her more patient moods. Another thing that annoys her, is when people don't know English, you best at least learn to say yes or no. While she does like air-conditioning, she doesn't like ops that end up in cold places. Tropical places... she treats like a vacation even if its hostile territory.
On the casual side of things... Wildcard absolutely loves parties, dancing, the louder the music and heavier the drinks the better. She likes to eye women, preferably strong either physically or mentally... she can't stand weak little girls who wince at the sight of a dead body or a little blood. She isn't afraid to push her luck either due to her power protecting her from getting fried or her smashed into paste. Girls with a bit more (intersex), kinda rock her world a bit, though she's never gotten lucky. Most of her personal relationships are short, though she does long for something with a bit more substance.

History:
Wildcard likes to be unpredictable and has few tall tales she tells people about her past. However, ARGUS has managed to dig up some factual information, likely with Wildcard having crossed enough people with her charming personality.
Factoid #1: By her various speech inflections and familiarity with the area, she is either from the Midwest or Southern USA. Most guess somewhere close to the Mississippi river.
Factoid #2: Wildcard was made an orphan at a young age, her parents died suddenly and she was directly at the epicenter of a tragic event. The closest theories say either an armed robbery, a house fire or car accident because this is when she first discovered her ability. Some think that seeing her parents death is why she is a little unhinged.
Factoid #3: After the death of her parents, a church that her parents frequented took her into their orphanage. However when she was picked on, kids would end up injured instead of her... some started calling her the devil. After scraping enough money from here and there, she went on her own at the age of 13.
Factoid #4: After leaving the care of a church, Wildcard first entered the spotlight of criminals and was put on a watchdog list for metahumans. At first marketing herself as "The Unbreakable Girl". She would let people hit with objects, punch her, even let people use guns on her. Wildcard ended up being roped into underground meta fighting, she would pick up various skills from the colorful career criminals, learning how to fight and use weapons of various types.
Factoid #5: Wildcard would fight in various underground meta fights for the next few years, but she would also loan herself out to do mercenary work and spread her name around a bit more. This was when ARGUS first set its sights on her. At first, having some undercover agents run ops with her, later spreading rumors about lucrative jobs...
Factoid #6: After inadvertently running several missions for ARGUS through criminal backchannels and middlemen, both Wildcard's ethics and interests were gauged, determining that she was mostly bored or in the game purely for the money. So during a fake contract, she was gassed and brought before ARGUS.
ARGUS Agent
Wildcard was initially pissed off, but slowly warmed up to the idea of recruitment and a steady paycheck as they revealed some of the best paid jobs she took were actually through them. Wildcard obliterated the training regime with flying colors, though she still had a thread of unhinged energy that would sometimes manifest. She was a perfect reactionary agent and lived up to her nickname Wildcard, her power could level the playing field in a warzone or even against larger threats given that her weaknesses couldn't be exploited. So for that very reason, an order came from up high. Through some testing at the behest of ARGUS's leadership, Wildcard learned that her power was more extensive than she first thought. ARGUS brought out an arsenal of weapons, people with powers and various technologies to gauge the extent her defensive power. However during the testing, she was alarmed by the fact she could sustain injuries or become incapacitated in specific situations. It deflated her ego quite a bit, not being as invincible as she had once thought.
While Wildcard excelled at assaulting high level threats, she would often be assigned as a bodyguard... or rather a human shield for high value targets. She's even protected senators and even US diplomats in hostile territory. Though she has mostly used her time out and about to enjoy traveling outside of the US for once, loving a few countries more than others. She had a preference for upholding American values, but did learn somethings along the way, like Japanese anime. Wildcard absolutely loved how brutal some of them got, that they got certain things just right about killing. Someone up high eventually liked her way of doing things, she was the perfect scalpel in world filled with "gods". While ARGUS did provide her missions, she would often find herself loaned out to the Protectorate, being put into a team or unit. While Wildcard would pay her due respect to whoever was running the op on the ground or commanding the mission from afar, she didn't like when despite the team being composed of equals, certain individuals would push their authority simply because of experience or age. She'd play ball, so long as no one tried to take advantage of her youth.
Role Play Sample:
Some dipshit thought it'd be fun to hijack a train, apparently a train that had some spicy stuff on it, military stuff. Somehow, they had overpowered the dudes armed with standard military gear, probably some fancy stuff. From up high, the concern was more that it would fall into the wrong hands than be destroyed. Missiles weren't an option, the train had targeting jammers. A precision but effective weapon was required. Wildcard was on a plane in less than 20 minutes, dressed in her gaudy black government issued bodysuit. The plane was designed to be fast and nothing else. Wildcard pumped herself up to some tunes as the plane got into position. She got a very short briefing as this was somewhat of an emergency. She waved off the pilots before the door under her feet suddenly opened. Wildcard did nothing but simply fall, seeing it more of an inconvenience than a hazard. It took 30 seconds for her to smack into the ground, leaving a small impact mark from her bouncing away. Not far from her position was the tracks this train had to use before reaching a junction they could potentially split off from. Wildcard trekked over and held her position on the tracks. Middle of the desert at a road crossing, nothing to do but wait... wait and wait. She laid out on the tracks out of boredom, knowing this train had nowhere else to go. Just as she was taking a nice nap, she felt a slight vibration. It was time to work.
Wildcard's eyes opened and she slowly picked herself up off the tracks as the train approached from the distance. "Come on." She chuckled, licking her lips, spreading her stance wider, extending her arms out. The train puffed towards her as she got an excited look in her eyes. "Never fucked up a train before, should be fun." The hijackers would take a few potshots at her, a few bullets, an energy weapon they managed to get working, but it turned into a puff as soon as it made contact with Wildcard's power. They didn't even try to slow down, their loss. The train engine hit with a grind screech of metal, splintering into fragments as the train smashed against her, the rear cars derailing from the sudden deceleration. It was labeled as an accident to the public, the remains of an old solid metal pickup from the 50s was put in place to make it all seem like a solid event. No mention of the hijacking, let alone that there were any terrorists got to the media, mission accomplished. Wildcard hiked her way to the nearest town ate some pancakes and drank a few beers before being extracted.

Factions:
A.R.G.U.S., The Protectorate
Canon Or Original?:
Original
Powers/Abilities:
- Reactive Counter: Wildcard's power isn't normally visible but is constantly active. When her body is about to be subjected to a sudden or strong form of energy, whether it be kinetic force or some form of radiation, the field instantly reacts and repels said force. The more energy used against her, the stronger her field will react in kind. However, she is vulnerable to gas, toxins, extreme cold or even stabbed or hit by something slow enough that her field doesn't react. Wildcard can easily drop off of a building and stick the landing. If she were to physically strike someone, all of the energy would go into her target instead of potentially hurting herself someone's diamond hard abs or incredibly dense body, effectively doubling the impact for someone of her size. One of the most dangerous things she can do is turn almost any explosive into a shaped charge by cupping her hands, directing the charge forward.
- Athletic Ability: When she isn't gaming, watching anime or out hunting America's enemies, she's pushing her limits. She doesn't want to bulk up too much, preferring to have agility and a smaller size. But she can overpower and outrun the average joe.
- Aerobatics: Jumping around, or rather parkour is part of the job. Some people are cagey as shit, some people are part animal...
- Multilingual: Despite her preference for English, she has picked up Russian, Chinese, Arabic, Japanese... bits and pieces of other languages. She'll only utter anything other than her native tongue when absolutely required.
- Tracking: Having spent some time training with Green Berets, even some Native Americans who still practice their craft, Wildcard has picked up some skills when it comes to following people, especially in the wild. She doesn't have a tracking ability, but she can stop, look and listen, focus on the details around her. In turn, she knows how to avoid being tracked if need be, double stepping, using trees instead of the ground for mobility in a forested area.
- Combat Prowess: Wildcard was never a slouch in a fight, developing her own disjointed chaotic style that makes her moves seem unpredictable while leaving herself wide open... not that she would need to ever need to waste time blocking a punch. She does however move in a way that makes it difficult to be grabbed or grappled.
- Weapon Training: While preferring to be up close and personal, Wildcard was trained by ARGUS in the use of firearms and munitions. She's not a sharpshooter, but she's deadly at close range. She can pick up, assess and utilize most weapons found in the field.
Weapons/Items:
Standard Kit
Things she always has on her, regardless of the situation.
- Eileen: A custom made OKC-3S bayonet, 8 inch blade made of fine Japanese steel.
- Throwing Knives: Nothing special, but definitely something that would hurt when thrown at you. Has at least 12 at a given time. Half by her neck, the others scattered in different places.
- Lockpicking Kit: Pins, assorted tools.
Tactical Kit
When she needs a bit more than knives and her charming personality.
- C4 Pucks: Instead of grenades, she carries around a few pucks of C4 with a simple 3 second delay trigger. In her hands, she can turn it into a deadly focused explosion, channeling all of the energy in a single direction. She can also jam screws or other things into the C4 for shrapnel.
- Her "hunting" rifle, an AR-style weapon chambered in a 308. Has a drum magazine that carries 50 rounds.
- Her "sidearm" a 500 Magnum Revolver. While she does have standard ammo, she does carry some "spicy" explosive tip rounds.
