Of Solomon Grundy"
Full Name:
Originally his name was Cyrus Gold, but it is now forgotten and buried, he now goes by Solomon Grundy.
Codename or Alias:
Marshland Monster
Anonymity
Technically Grundy -is- his secret identity, but given that he is an undead zombie, he does not care if anyone knows his original name as it means nothing to him anymore.
Gender:
Male
Race:
Undead Zombie
Age:
Unknown
Place Of Birth:
Cyrus Gold was most likely born in Gotham City, but Grundy as he is today was techincally "born" in Slaughter Swamp, outside of the city.
Occupation/Status:
Supervillain
Alignment:
Evil.
Factions:
None, he works with whoever pays or persuades him with something he likes. Grundy likes gold.
Canon Or Original?:
Canon
Powers/Abilities:
Energy Transference
Grundy has a power he doesn't even know about, or is too stupid to realize. He has been known to absorb and manipulate certain types of energy. This means that most (but not all) energy attacks will have little to no effect on him. This power is subconcious on the level of almost being accidental. This suggests Grundy is even more powerful than he himself realizes. Amazo tried to teleport him into the sun once, and Grundy just absorbed the energy and got even stronger.
Superhuman Durability
Due to his zombie physiology and the powers imbued into him in the Slaughter Swamp that grants him pseudo-life, it makes him incredibly resilient. He has been known to be even more resilient than superman on various reincarnations* (See below). Among other things, this makes Grundy impervious to bullets, fire, and extreme cold as well as the vacuum of space.
Zombie Physiology
Infused by the mysterious magics of Slaughter Swamp, Grundy is an undead zombie. This means he does not need to eat, drink, sleep or breathe.
Regeneration
While Grundy can definetly be killed, it is -very- hard to do so, as his body regenerates damage very quickly. He has been known to lose limbs in combat, only for the limbs to come to life on their own and fight, or crawl back to him only for Grundy to reattach them in seconds.
Removeable Limbs
As mentioned above Grundys limbs can move separately if severed from his body, meaning if you cut his arm off his arm will still try to kill you. If he gets particularily angry Grundy can, for example, tear off his own arm and use as a club and then reattach it to his body.
Resurrection
What he is perhaps most known for is that Solomon Grundy never dies. Even when he is killed, he always regenerates in the Slaughter Swamp sooner or later. It might be a week, it might be a day, but he always returns sooner or later. While he does seem to retain some memories of his previous 'incarnation', usually he remembers very little and the only constant thing he remembers is his name, Solomon Grundy. He never, however, remembers the name Cyrus Gold or his human life.
Whenever he reincarnates the unstable power of Slaughter Swamp might shift his powers, as he has known to vary in strenght and intelligence from time to time. Sometimes Grundy is strong enough for someone like Batman to fight equally with him, other times even Superman has a hard time stopping him.
Superhuman Stamina
Grundy can perform physically strenuous tasks for an indeterminate period of time before tiring.
Superhuman Strength
As mentioned above, Grundy varies in strength and intelligence with each resurrection, but even in his weakest form, he is strong enough to break bones of a regular human with a punch. His strength is tied to his intelligence, meaning that the stronger Grundy is the stupider he will also be.
This often means people run a risk of underestimating Grundy. If he's super strong but sluggish, people often underestimate just how hard he hits, and if he's faster and a little smarter, people are often taken by surprise when he uses things bordering on strategy.

Weapons/Items:
Grundy needs no weapon, grundy IS the weapon. However he can often pick up things around him to use as weapons. He can throw cars, trucks or whatever is within reach.
Appearance
Image:
Physical Appearance:
Two words best describe the man that is now known as Grundy, and that is 'Hulking Monstrosity'. Grundy stands an impressive 7'5 tall (2.38M) and weighs no less than 517 lbs (235 kg). His skin is pale and gaunt, with white, straw-like hair often in tufts or if he has a full set of hair, it's messy and disheveled. His eyes are a pale white-ish yellow, often glowing slightly. He wears the same remnants of a suit he wore while alive, giving him a touch of class despite being an undead monstrosity.
Clothing and Armor:
As mentioned above, Grundy wears the remnants of the suit he was killed in. The sleeves have been torn off, and the suit has stretched as a result of Grundy growing in size when he became a zombie.
Personality
Sexual Orientation:
While not really having a sexual drive, Grundy has been known to call women pretty. He is more interested in violence, revenge and gold than anything.
General Personality:
Dumb as a doorknob, or slightly less dumber than a doorknob. Grundy retains slight traces of his old self, wanting revenge, being greedy and liking gold and money. Other than that he is rather simple-minded and prone to violence when annoyed. The angrier he gets the more of a mindless brute he becomes. More than once his own downfall in a fight has been him getting so angry he pulverizes the building he is in, making it collapse over him. When working with Grundy, keep instructions simple, he is not a smart man.
Despite this it IS possibly to talk to Grundy and even negotiate with him but if you try and outsmart him he might lose his temper if you try using big words and decide to just smash your face instead. Small words, people.

Anything Else
Anyone fighting Grundy can go all out when fighting him. If you play a hero (or villain) that kills, don't hold back. Grundy regenerates back in his swamp whenever he dies and he can stand up to enermous amounts of punishments. He is an opportunity for people to cut loose and use their abilities without holding back, so if you want an over the top superhero battle, Grundy's your guy. How strong (and stupid) he is can be discussed from topic to topic.
Character's History
Siblings:
Unknown
Mother:
Unknown
Father:
Unknown
Other Family:
Karin Rylek (Allegedly), a woman who claimed to be a descendant of Cyrus Gold, who was ironically killed by Solomon Grundy when he rose from Slaughter Swamp during a guided tour she was leading.
History:
Although little is known of the man named Cyrus Gold it is believed that some fifty years ago, give or take, a wicked mobster named Cyrus Gold had a secret affair with his boss' woman and was also scheming on taking over the organization. Gold was found out by said boss, however, and as a result he was knocked over the head, chained up and taken to slaughter swamp. Once there, the gangsters beat him up, stabbed him and executed him by shooting him. Once Cyrus Gold was no more the gangsters disposed of the body by tossing it into the swamp. This was the end of Cyrus Gold.
Over many decades, the strange magics that permeates the swamp transformed Gold, turning his rotting body undead, making him bigger, stronger and more violent. Several decades later a monster rose from the swamp, a gigantic, hulking zombie with only revenge, rage and greed in his heart. During his first resurrection he did not remember his name or anything else, all he knew is that he was alive and he hated everyone and everything.
As he shambled towards Gotham City, he passed by a house with an open window where a nursery rhyme was playing about a man named Solomon Grundy. Trying to use his mouth to speak for the first time in decades, the undead beast groaned the words "Solomon Grundy" before continuing his hulking shamble towards Gotham. This was the birth of Solomon Grundy.
Ever since then Grundy has shown up every now and then, always returning after being slain and working for whoever pays or persuades him and to this day, Grundy walks the earth, driven by anger and greed.

Role Play Sample:
Nervously the four criminals entered the abandoned warehouse down by the docks. Their boss, Jack, was standing there with a briefcase waiting patiently with nothing but a massive cargo crate behind him. It was big enough to fit a car, easily ten feet tall. "What's in the box, boss?" one of them asked but the boss just waved him off. "A safety measure" he simply said, and the matter wasn't pursued further. Half an hour later another group of criminals arrived, armed to the teeth.
The leader of the newly arrived gang, a man named Billy, stepped forward saying: "You've got the stuff?". Jack nodded, patting the briefcase. "Yep, it's all in here" he said, opening the briefcase to reveal the briefcase was full of drugs. "Show me the payment", he said. Billy laughed and snapped his fingers as his men drew their weapons.
"How about we just shoot you guys and take it instead?", he said. Guns were drawn on both sides, but Jack was cool as a cucumber. "I wouldn't do that if I were you", he said, but Billy and his men just laughed.
"Give me one good reason not to shoot you. Maybe if you beg I'll consider it", Billy mocked. Jack sighed, shaking his head. "And here I was hoping we could have a normal deal, but you had to be arrogant. Well, I guess we will just kill you and take the gold then and keep the drugs for the next buyer", he said. Billy and his goons were baffled by the arrogance of this little upstart. "You are outgunned and outmatched, I'd like to see you try", he said. Jack opened a latch on the big crate behind him and said calmly. "Oh I won't try.. But he will. Grundy, they're all yours".
At first there was just darkness inside the box and then a monstrous roar emitted from within. Billy's gang froze on the spot and one of the goons only had time to utter "Wait... Grundy? Solomon Grundy? Oh fu-", before a massive monstrosity came charging out of the box towards them hellbent on violence. The men screamed in terror and unloaded their guns but it was all in vain as the bullets did nothing to the monster before them. Signaling his goons to leave, Jack snatched the money he had been promised for the delivery and left the warehouse as the screams of the other gang rang out through the night.
