Powers/Abilities:
Atmokinesis: Storm is one of the most powerful mutants on Earth and has demonstrated a plethora of abilities, most of which are facets of her power to manipulate the weather. Storm possesses the psionic ability to control all forms of weather. She has been able to control both Earthly and extraterrestrial ecosystems on several occasions. She can modify the temperature of the environment, control all forms of precipitation, humidity, and moisture (at a molecular level), generate lightning and other electromagnetic atmospheric phenomena, and has demonstrated excellent control over atmospheric pressure. She can incite all forms of meteorological tempests, such as tornadoes, thunderstorms, blizzards, and hurricanes, as well as mist. She can dissipate such weather to form clear skies as well. Storm can also control the very fundamental forces that determine weather itself anywhere like the planet's magnetic fields, taking control of the magnetosphere on multiple occasions.
Her precise control over the atmosphere allows her to create special weather effects. She can create precipitation at higher or lower altitudes than normal, make whirlwinds travel pointing lengthwise in any direction, channel ambient electromagnetism through her body to generate electric blasts, flash freeze objects and people, coalesce atmospheric pollutants into acid rain or toxic fog, and, along with her natural ability of flight, summon wind currents strong enough to support her weight to elevate herself (or others) to fly at high altitudes and speeds. Her control is so great that she can even manipulate the air in a person's lungs. She can also control the pressure inside the human inner ear, an ability she uses to cause intense pain. She can also bend light using moisture in the air and her manipulation of mist and fog to appear partially transparent, and in some cases, nearly invisible.
Storm has also demonstrated the ability to control natural forces that include cosmic storms, solar wind, ocean currents, and electromagnetic energy. She has demonstrated the ability to separate water molecules into oxygen and hydrogen via electrolysis, allowing her to breathe underwater.
Storm has been shown to be sensitive to the dynamics of the natural world, and her psionic powers over weather are affected by her emotions. One consequence of this connection to nature is that she often suppresses extreme feelings to prevent her emotional state from resulting in violent weather. Storm can view the Earth as weather patterns, and is able to precisely recognize her geographic position through interpretations of these patterns. Storm's mutant abilities are only limited by her willpower and the strength of her body.
Indomitable Will/Telepathic Resistance: Something that was gradually gained through Ororo's time with the X-men, Ororo has an exceptionally strong will, thanks to years of practice to control the weather. She has shown the strength of will to effectively resist the world's most powerful telepaths, such as Professor X, Jean Grey, Rachel Summers, the Shadow King, and Emma Frost.
Earth Link: Storm's mutant powers have created a psychic bond between herself and the primal life force of Earth's biosphere. This bond with the Earth and apparently the entire universe, gives Storm spiritual and material sustenance with an almost empathic sense towards living thing. Storm also possesses the ability to sense and detect life forces and she has once sensed a dying tree in the Xavier Mansion. She has once sensed a snowball being tossed and sense the Blackbird cutting the atmosphere even though the distance between them was thousands of miles, She can sense any natural phenomena including earthquakes, storms, etc. Storm can sense movements in the air or water mediums.
Thermal Variance: Ororo's body counteracts extremes of temperature, internally increasing or decreasing her temperature in contrast to its external environment to an unknown degree. In the Antarctic, while trying to alter the blizzards raging over its entirety, she nearly fried her own system.
Energy Vision: With a blink, Storm can see the physical world around her as energy, including the human body's nervous system, which in turn allows her to counter all but the fastest attack. Added to her already formidable hand-to-hand abilities, this makes her a very tough opponent. Storm has also shown the ability to see in almost complete darkness.
Magical Potential: Storm's ancestry supports the use of magic and witchcraft. Many of her ancestors were sorceresses and priestesses.
Storm's maternal powers have even been linked to the real-world Rain Queens of Balobedu, the region from which her Sorceress Supreme ancestor, Ayesha, hails.

Storm's maternal powers have even been linked to the real-world Rain Queens of Balobedu, the region from which her Sorceress Supreme ancestor, Ayesha, hails.
Storm's ancestor Ashake, who worships the Egyptian goddess Ma'at, also known as Oshtur, the mother of Agamotto. Oshtur appears to have strong favor for the bloodline of Ororo.
For some unknown reason, since the dawn of Atlantis, this line of African women has been given distinguishing features of white hair, blue eyes, and powerful magic potential. Although Storm has not developed her magical potential, it has been hinted at. Storm usually calls out to an unnamed goddess, she has already had a vision of the goddess and she has the same physical characteristics as her and her ancestors.
- Godhood: Storm has a gift of godhood passed from her ancestors. Black Panther considered her as a bigger god compared to the Adversary, being recognized as a threat by said deity. The faith of Wakanda helped her ascend to godhood and made her a real goddess (though temporarily), granting her the power to defeat the powerful Adversary.
- The Power of Faith: Storm can get power from people's belief in and prayers to her. The more people that believe in her, the more powerful she becomes. She once used the power to dissipate an unnatural storm that was from another world and created by Adversary, who was known as Sefako The Twice Risen God. She's also able to invoke Oshtur for help. She is also considered as a goddess called Hadari Yao who preserves the balance between all natural things.
Master Thief: Extraordinary ability at picking locks and pockets, getting past advanced security systems, and escape artistry; she is very stealthy, and has the same degree of dexterity in her toes and mouth as she does with her hands. Ororo was, in her youth, one of the most skillful thieves in the entire city of Cairo. Skills she has kept honed, and some of them, she has taught to her students at the Xavier School.
Expert Combatant: Ororo is a gifted and formidable hand-to-hand combatant with years of close quarter combat experience. She was trained by Achmed El Gibar and the Black Panther in her youth, and later extensively trained by Wolverine and learned techniques from the ronin Yukio. She has bested more powerful fighters like Callisto by using her prowess and her cunning.
Weapon Proficiency: She is an excellent marksman with handguns and is experienced in the use of various firearms. Ororo is also highly skilled with wielding knives, and experienced in the use of the bo staff.
Expert Tactician: Storm has strong natural leadership skills and has lead teams of X-Men on occasion. She is a highly accomplished and skilled strategist, tactician, and field commander.
Expert Gardener: Ororo is also an excellent gardener owing to her supernatural abilities and has her own botanical gardens at the Xavier Mansion.
Multilingual: Storm is fluent in English, Arabic, Swahili, Russian, Japanese, Wakandan, and Yoruba.
Aviation: Storm is an accomplished pilot with experience in piloting advanced aircrafts such as the Blackbird.

Physical Appearance:
She is a tall dark skinned African woman standing at 5’11. Her eyes are as blue as the Antarctic waters and her hair is white and billows as the clouds above do.
Clothing and Armor:
In her day to day she wears a variety of clothing with varying patterns and color pallets. She can often be seen with her hair wrapped up if she is gardening or otherwise at leisure.
Her current uniform is reminiscent of her uniform in X-Men Red (2022)
Personality
Sexual Orientation:
Bisexual
General Personality:
As a woman who has experienced many walks of life, Ororo has grown to be a multifaceted woman. Losing her parents at such an early age and being trapped underneath the building they perished in caused her to develop crippling claustrophobia. Something she hopes to and works to overcome. Her early childhood saw her on her own as a street urchin pickpocketing to get by while building a level of resilience. A survival instinct. A drive to ensure she remained unscathed.
Ororo has a level of optimism that allows her to at least try to see the good in others. She has seen and experienced the darkest places this world has to offer and will do what it takes to pull people into the light. Only resorting to violence when all else fails.
Storm often practices restraint when it comes to her emotions. With the way her powers work, even the slightest change in her emotions can cause the weather to change if she is not careful. The more noticeable changes however are when she experiences extreme emotions. Anger, sadness and even joy can trigger her power over the weather. She does often, however, channel these emotions into her powers when she needs to. Tapping into and focusing them on her enemies.
Storm is, at her core, a warm and gentle soul who understands the weight of responsibility of her powers, her position, and her station. She knows that many young mutants just coming into their own looked to her for guidance and it pained her to leave the X-Men but for her personal growth she needed to leave. Now what she has returned she does not expect the warmest of welcomes but she will always be present for the students that need her.

History:
Ororo Munroe, or Storm as most people refer to her as, was not always the beacon that she is know as today. She has walked the many winding paths that life has sent her on and has found herself a purpose with the X-Men. However, who was she before? Let us explore.
Ororo Munroe was born to the journalist David Munroe and N’Dare a Princess of the Uzuri Tribe in Kenya. Their little family wouldn’t last too long before disaster struck. Their home became the site of a plane crash that destroyed it and left her and her parents underneath the rubble to die. She, however, persevered but not without a scar. She was left with a crippling fear of enclosed spaces.
Alone on the Street
Orphaned, Ororo needed to survive and without anyone to take care of her it meant she had to fend for herself. She learned the skills of lock picking and pickpocketing from a local gang of street urchins. They took her to their master Ahmed El Gibar and became his prized pupil. It was under El Gibar’s orders that she was given a very specific mark. The Professor himself, Charles Xavier. This would be her first encounter with him. And because of his telepathic prowess he would prove to be no easy mark. Luckily for her it was at that moment Shadow King decided to make his move against Charles. She used the opportunity to make her escape from him but it would not be the last time these two would meet.
The Goddess Rises
After her encounter with Xavier, Ororo had an urge to go south. It was a long and arduous journey that saw her nearly a victim of a man with ill intent. Her survival instincts kicked in. It was her, or him. And she chose herself. But from that day forward she vowed never to kill again.
On her continued journey south, her powers manifested as she trekked across the Sahara. She was saved from the heat of the desert but found quickly that she was needed by someone. With her new powers she helped a young Prince T’Challa escape from his would be kidnappers. Another person who she would not be seeing the last of.
Eventually, Ororo arrived in Kenya, in the hom eland of her mother’s ancestors. As a lone girl she was welcomed in by Ainet, a village elder who taught her to be responsible with her powers. As she learned to control these abilities, People from surrounding villages began to worship her as a Goddess. Their lands had never been better. Ororo gained the attention once more of Charles Xavier. He told her of their shared mutant nature. He asked her to join him so that he could teach her more about her power and hopefully help more than just this small corner of the world. With this new information.
X-Men Sophomore Class
Her arrival at the mansion marked the second class of mutants Charles had brought to his school. And this started her tumultuous relationship with humanity. She went from being a beloved Goddess to being a part of the most hated group on planet Earth in a short period of time. It was whiplash. She found herself on missions trying to save mutants from hate groups stopping two ton robots from flattening entire neighborhoods stopping a mutant terrorist even though he kinda had a point. But Ororo’s time on the X-Men all came to a head with a weapon being used on her to take her powers away.
The Goddess Falls
The loss of her powers was like the loss of something vital to her. It severed her connection from the Earth. Her powers were her way of communing with Mother Earth herself and now she was silent. Ororo wept for their loss and left the X-Men to try and find a new path. She was first taken in by Forge who, feeling guilty for creating the device that stripped her of her powers, attempted to help her get her powers back, a plan that had backfired and saw her angered that he would even create such a device. She left to go find her own way. She had traveled to Japan where she met a woman named Yukio who taught her the art of the sword. She was given a false hammer, Stormcaster, by Loki in his attempts to discredit his brother’s status as the God of Thunder.
Afterwards, Ororo did a brief stint on the Birds of Prey who directed her to the Amazons in Themyscira. There she spent the better part of a year in isolation recentering herself. She lived among them as a sister, she hunted with them, trained with them, and took part in their customs. Even getting a chance to speak with Hippolyta about her plight. The Queen encouraged her to return to her homelands to reconnect with her people. She was given means to return to the mainland to start this next chapter.
After returning to the mainland refreshed, Ororo set her sights on Kenya. However; in the process of preparing for her journey, she met Mari, someone who was on a similar path as she was. Though not for the same reason. Mari was woman who wielded the power of her ancestral totem to call upon the powers of different animals. With it, Mari had her own special connection to the Earth. Taking on these characteristics was her way of communing with Mother Earth. A detour would ensue as Ororo followed Mari to Zambesi to meet her people. Through conversations with Mari and her people, she was determined to reestablish her connection with the earth. Armed with nothing but her intuition and pure determination, Ororo traveled out into the savanna to be alone where she could listen to the Mother Earth.
Pilgrimage
For days she climbed through the Mountains and plateaus of Kenya. Her hands bled from the climbing up the steepest parts of the range. Her feet blistered from the constant movement staying away from Kenya’s unforgiving wildlife. On the fifth night she was so tired that she nearly collapsed. She decided getting her powers back would not be worth it if she was dead. She found a tree that she could sit and rest by. As she placed her hand on its bark she felt a familiar thrum. A heart beat. Where was it coming from? She could not rest now she had a lead. Another pulse. Her pace quickened like she felt a second wind. A third pulse. They were coming closer together. She saw a shape on the horizon. It seemed to grow taller as she grew closer. Until she reached it. The pulse was as strong as her own.
A steep climb ensued. Rough rock inlaid with vines and various other plants gave her a foothold as she rode this sudden burst of Adrenaline. As she reached its highest point she saw it. A stone at least 15 feet tall towered over her. There was a strange pull coming from it. All she needed to do was reach out and touch it. Clouds began to gather above. Weary from her travels she was on the verge of collapse. Ororo didn’t notice the clouds gathering above her to protect her from the sun's rays. Exhausted, her hand almost instinctively reached out to touch the rock and in the instant her hand touched it there was a white flash that could be seen for miles followed by a roll of Thunder that would have shattered every window in Manhattan.
The Goddess Reforged
Images of her priestess ancestors flashed in Ororo’s mind. She had found the place holiest to her mother’s ancestors and connected to them. In the flash of Lightning they showed her the potential of her power and in the roll of Thunder they shared their wisdom with her. When the vision ended. She stood sparking with lightning.
But most importantly she could feel the heartbeat of the earth. She could hear Mother Earth’s voice on the wind. She could feel her touch in the rain that now fell across the lands. She looked around her at the environment. The earth around her was scorched. And the stone before was split down the middle. At her feet was a diadem. An artifact worn by the priestesses of her people. She returned to her village to show them what had transpired on her pilgrimage. A celebration ensued. Their Goddess had been restored. And she could continue her work around the world. She would, however, make it a point to return twice a year to ensure these lands were taken care of.
Ororo returned to Mari’s village to thank her people for their words of wisdom and encouragement. She promised to stay in contact with Mari and that if she was ever called upon, she would answer.
Return to the X-Men
Now baptized in lightning, Storm returns to the X-Men. She feels rejuvenated. Perhaps even more than before. After what’s probably been years away from the mansion she is finally ready to answer the call to ready the younger generation of mutants to go out into the world.
Role Play Sample:
It is often said that the most important connection one has is the connection made with their mother. After losing both of her parents, her powers connected her to the Earth itself who became like a mother to her. It spoke secrets to her. It gave her insights. It shared its pain, its joy, its love and its hatred. Without her powers, navigating the world around her felt like an impossible task. She wanted-no she needed to get them back.
After the loss of her powers she searched high and low for a way to get that connection back. She intended to travel back to her homeland when she encountered a woman she assumed was around her age also traveling to Africa, The two bonded of their similar ancestries and their connections, or in Ororo’s case former connection, to nature. From Mari, her new friend she ade on this journey, Ororo had learned about her totem and how she used it to borrow the traits of animals. They agreed that Ororo could accompany her so she herself could learn from them Mari’s people. From them, she learned of a time Mari had accessed the Totem’s power without even wearing it. It inspired her. And now, after nearly a year of searching she decided to try one last thing.
A pilgrimage to her ancestors' holiest site.
On foot she had decided to walk and climb. Days had passed since Ororo had started this journey. She had been without food or water save for what little she found on her path. Equipped with nothing but the clothes on her back and her instincts…and perhaps a knife or two, she started her climb. There was a pull. Something that tugged at her soul. Urging her forward. It needed her connection. And in some ways, she needed it.
On the fifth night she nearly collapsed. She needed to rest. Reclaiming her power would mean nothing if she died in the process. She found a sturdy enough tree and checked the area for predators. The way seemed to be clear. As she placed her hand on the tree’s bark she felt something. A sensation. A familiar thrum. The very same thrum she would feel when she used her power. Her eyes wet wide. She was nearing her destination
Her heart jumped and she felt a rush. Why would she stop when she was so close? When she took her hand off the tree and looked off into the distance. One the path ahead grew ever steeper and seemed perilous. Enough to deter the average person. But Ororo was not the average person. She had survived the streets of Cairo, the harsh desert of the Sahara, and even traveled to a parallel universe. No mere mountain was going to stop her no matter how exhausted she was. She gathered what strength this adrenaline rush had to offer and began her climb.
“Ayesha guide my hands.”
She pleaded with seemingly no one. But there was no one to call upon. Clouds began to gather, cooling the air around her and a light breeze whispered through the trees swaying the leaves to and fro. Ororo could feel the touch of mother Earth around her. Rooting for her. Her hands bled and her feet blistered with each motion as she found footholds among the vines and rocks that stuck out on this cliff face.
What felt like more days still passed as Ororo reached for the top. Her chest heaved as she attempted to catch her breath. Then a strange and familiar sensation. Raindrops. Natures way of cooling her off as a reward for making it this far before her stood a large stone. It towered over her by 15 feet. Maybe even 20 feet. The thrum she felt at the bottom of this cliff was now a full on heart beat. She crawled her way to the stone and reached out to it and in an instant there was a flash of white light.
All around her there were billowing clouds. Ororo observed her surroundings. But before she could make out any details a voice called out to her.
“Why are you here?”
Ororo still felt exhausted. She was in no condition to answer any questions. But she would answer anyway. “I…lost something.” Her response was weak as she could barely get the words out between breaths.
A pain surged through her body accompanied by a familiar thrumming. Once it stopped, her body collapsed to all fours again. Her hands stung from the cold damp floors.
A different voice called out this time. “You cannot lose something that wasn’t yours to begin with. So we ask again. Why have you come to this mountain?”
Ororo, still weak, attempted to answer, conserving her energy for further questions. “Something pulled me and I followed it here to the lands of my ancestors. My powers were taken from me-”
Another surge of pain saw Ororo collapse to the floor. She felt that familiar thrumming
A third voice called out “Power cannot be taken. Only forgotten. So we ask again. Why have you come to the holiest site of the ancient Kingdom of Balobedu.”
Ororo pounded her fist into the floor and with what strength remained in her body she stood. She saw the faces of those that came before her. “I have come to reclaim-”
That pain once again but this time rather than focusing on it she focused on the thrumming. The heartbeat that matched her own. She remained standing and through the pain that her own ancestors would inflict upon her. She spoke through the pain. “I have come because I remember my power.” Lightning flew off her body as she stared directly into the faces of her ancestors.
“And who are you?” The face of her oldest ancestor, a former Sorcerer Supreme, the Rain Queen Ayesha appeared before her.
“You know my name. They call me Wind-rider, Weather Witch, Hadari-Yao, Storm. But highest of all I am Ororo Munroe, daughter of N’Dare, descendant of Ashake of Meroë, Ashake of Egypt, and Ayesha of Balobedu. You know who I am, how far I have come. And you know that I will not be denied.”
The ancestors smiled and melted into the clouds. Like a deep breath, all of the clouds entered Ororo’s lungs, restoring her mind, body and spirit to full strength. With it came their knowledge, their wisdom, and her power.
Now returned to reality Ororo could hear thunder rolling in the distance and was flying above the stone. But what happened to the stone. It had been split in two by what seemed to be a bolt of lightning judging my the scorch marks. In the center she found a diadem. As she reached for it. She heard a message in the back of her mind.
“Welcome back Goddess.”
