Mayumi can take a beating, more than an average person. She has honed her body and muscles to be dense and resilient, and while she is by no means indestructible, she can still survive a blow to the body and still fight on long past when a normal human would have collapsed.

Yawakarakai-Te is a legendary sword passed down through generations of Mayumi's family. It is an infamously sharp blade, made with such precision and craftsmanship that it can cut through nearly anything with a single swing. However, Yawakarakai-Te cannot and will not cut anything that is innocent or undeserving. It can't harm anyone or anything that has not committed the sin of murder or mindless violence over another, and the blade itself will stop dead against anything or anyone innocent before it would do any harm. Yawakarakai-Te is a blade made only for righting injustice and protecting the meek and innocent, by only cutting down those who have harmed them without care or consideration.
Because of the nature of the blade, Mayumi wears it in a specially crafted sheath which is one of the few things the edge cannot cut through.
Daisho
Crafted by Mayumi herself as an alternarive to Yawarakai-Tu. They are normal swords, one katana and one wakizashi, crafted with perfection and skill, but still unable to cut through more than an ordinary blade.

She has dark eyes, steeley and focused, and light facial features that don't stand out. Most of Mayumi's blemishes and scars are beneath her clothes, or on the back of her hands.

Mayumi is a strong, ruthless and focused individual. She never rests when she has a goal, and is the kind of person to chase someone or something across the world and back to get what she wants. Violent and aggressive, Mayumi doesn't give out mercy easily or often.
She can come across cold, emotionless, distant and icy, which is all true, but after losing so many people that she loved, Mayumi has given up on being nice. She is blunt and honest to a fault, speaking her mind wherever she feels like it. Her tongue is a silver dagger, slashing out at anyone who annoys her, and these days she has zero patience.
Mayumi's attention to detail is unparalleled, which makes her a great sword maker and a terrifying opponent. She will look into every detail of a target, finding out what weaknesses she can, needling deep into their fears and worries to find the best way to kill them. History
Mayumi was born to an American salesman and a Japanese teacher, the only child of the Mannings. She had a happy childhood, learning both about her Japanese heritage and American culture, becoming a well-rounded young woman. Mayumi was the right level of independent and sociable, inquisitive and curious, tough and strong-willed.
Her mother took her to Japan to show her the history of their family when she was young. There, Mayumi learnt the roots of their ancestors, the great swordsmith Gorō Nyūdō Masamune and the swords he had created. She learnt of the master swordsman who had fought across Japan for centuries, and was entranced by the history of her lineage.
Her childhood went by smoothly. Mayumi became a teacher after graduating school, and was well liked and well rounded. She went back and forth between America and Japan, studying history in both countries and teaching Japanese and English while she was there. Mayumi also took an interest in swordplay and swordsmithing in the traditional way, and learnt from professionals across Japan.
Mayumi's parents were killed in Japan in a violent and sudden villain attack. Kamen Rider Ouja, a serial killer carving his way through Japan, cut them both down while they were spending time there. Mayumi was devastated. Ouja was caught, detained, but eventually released, apparently using his contacts to get himself free. Mayumi couldn't see how it was fair. How could someone murder a dozen people and still walk away?
Mayumi focused on her work rather than her grief. It wasn't soon after the funeral she met Julia Westwood, a fellow teacher. They soon became close, moving in together. It helped Mayumi heal, and she could soon move on from her hurt.
It was going well, until the Kree invasion of New York. Mayumi and Julia were at a conference when chaos descended. They tried to run, to find a safe haven while the Justice League fought back, but Julia didn't make it. Mayumi escaped alone.
It tore her apart. She kept going in mindless routine, day in and day out. It wasn't until she was watching the news, and saw a story of a group of criminals who had escapes the attack on New York and had gone on to commit a string of evil deeds. This snapped her out of her funk. How was it right that Julia died, and they survived? That her parents would be killed and nothing came of it?
So Mayumi made her choice. She would be the Justice that these criminals deserved, and it would be dealt by the blade of her family sword. Mayumi would be the Fury that would punish those who needed it. She tracked the criminals down, and slaughtered every one of them. Well, nearly every one. A single young man survived, the blade unable to slice through his skin. Mayumi discovered the truth of her sword's power, that it could cut through nearly anything, unless there was innocence in their heart, unless it was unjust to do so. So she spared his life, and moved onto the next.
Under the guise of 憤激; "Fury", Mayumi began to bring justice to those who required it. Carving her way across the world, taking jobs and missions if it lead to her goal. Eventually she met the God Killers, a group of ruthless people with a mind like hers. It was an easy choice to join their ranks, with their influence and resources that could find her even more targets.
Since then, Fury has made an infamous name for herself on a global scale among the criminal gangs that deserved more than what they got. Superheroes could save the world. Fury would bring the justice.
Role Play Sample
The dark warehouse sat squat and non-descript on the bay side of Tokyo. It was the perfect place for the Yakuza to lay low after a successful hit, a dozen of them in the shadows. They were confident and cocky, smoking and gambling while they waited the night away.
The perfect prey.
Fury watched and waited until the opportunity presented itself. One of them stepped out, and was only half way through pissing on the wall when the blade slashed in the dark. It cut right through flesh and bone, leaving a scar in the brickwork in front of him.
Yawarakai-Te knew the just from the wicked.
Yells and screams filled the night as Fury moved from room to room. Bullets fired, flashes in the dark, but her blood-soaked path would not stop as she carved through their ranks.
Fury stood over the last Yakuza as he sat on his ass, staring up at her with frightened eyes. Yawarakai-Te was pressed against his neck, an unsuccessful swing that stopped dead as soon as it touched his skin.
"Lucky. You've not earned death tonight."
Fury moved her sword away, wiping it on the inside of her arm. She looked down at the man, more of a boy.
"The universe has granted you life. Don't waste it."
He ran, whimpering as he fled before Fury's stance. She sheathed her sword, and made her way out into the dark. Justice wouldn't wait for ever. There were still more people out there that didn't deserve to live. Mayumi would make sure they all felt her Fury.
