Name: Alan Lynch
Age: 28
Gender: Male
Birthplace: Side 3 - Arcadia (Colony 22)
Faction: Axis Zeon
Rank: Lieutenant JG
Appearance: Alan is 6 feet tall, he has a stocky build for a soldier. Dark brown hair, cut in a military style with short sides. Vibrant emerald eyes from his mother. He has a chiseled face with a single scar across his right cheek from under his eye to the hairline near his ear.
Personality: Alan is a boisterous but intelligent figure, always striving to further the spacenoid cause. Despite coming from a wealthy family he prefers to get his hands dirty with what some might consider the unprivileged. He believes that the Federation is rotten to the core, with the military serving as its rabid dog. While he doesn't see himself as noble or charismatic, other see certain leadership qualities in him even if he refuses to see them or act upon them. Alan actively turns down any promotion that would force him to lead from the sidelines of battle, otherwise he believes that his view of a battlefield will become clouded with bureaucracy among other things. While considered to be an aristocrat due to his family's wealth in the eyes of many at Axis, he prefers not to mingle with such people unless required to.
History: Alan Lynch was born at Side 3's Arcadia colony to the wealthy astro-mining tycoon Richard Lynch and his barely legal mistress in 0059. He was given a privileged education at one of Side 3's prestigious private schools before enlisting in the Munzo military academy. After graduating he applied for an officer position in the EFSF despite numerous patriotic feelings rising for the Side 3. In the few months leading up to the OYW he served as the 2nd officer of the battleship Constantine. The Constantine was part of an Earth orbital patrol squadron consisting of itself and 2 Salamis-class cruisers. In this short period of time several officers and men in the patrol fleets from Side 3 including Alan himself hatch a mutinous plot after feeling tension between themselves and those from Earth. By abusing the corrupt nature of the Federation against itself, Alan uses some of his wealth to pay off a high ranking assignment officer to have some of his "friends" assigned to the Constantine and some opponents taken off. When his patrol squadron was called in to reinforce the fleets, he and his conspirators made their move. Each chess piece moved in sync, Alan and a partner killing most of the bridge crew while everyone else did the same for their assigned area. Once all sections were cleared, they suited up and spaced the ship of the corpses and any holdouts before bringing the Battleship's weapons to bare and destroying both the escort Salamis-class vessels.
Using the Constantine, they managed to sink 13 more ships of various sizes before the Federation caught onto their scheme. They were able to sink 5 additional vessels pursuing them before using the escape shuttle to fly to Zeon while the now derelict vessel was set on course for a diagonal course away from their escape route. Once home they surrendered to local security forces. After a review of their actions and request to join Zeon is approved, Alan and his followers disband for the time being as they are split into different branches. While offered a naval position, Alan sought out to be a Mobile Suit pilot after seeing footage of the Battle at Loum. After undergoing training he was assigned to a division that protected the Orbital Supply fleet. Protecting it during the EFF's Operation Hellion in May and later Operation Cactus in October, after which he is assigned to Solomon shortly before the Federation's 3rd assault. For the next two months he is stationed there until the Battle of Solomon in which Zeon loses. As the only ranking (and competent) officer of his defense sector he orders all survivors aboard a Papua-class and sets course for LRA-92, a Lynch company resource asteroid near L4 that had been abandoned during the course of the war.
In one week's time the war is lost and most if not everyone under Alan's current command, himself included, didn't wish to endure the long trip to the distant Axis with limited supplies they had on hand. When the war is officially declared over, Alan uses his family's company to create a subsidiary that salvages war materials. While fully intending on repairing any Zeon equipment, he doubted that his group had the manpower to do any major damage to the Federation. As their stockpile of partially repaired Mobile Suits and various craft began to grow, an envoy from the Delaz fleet arrived with an invitation to Lynch and his men. Using the pretense of discarding "useless" scrap into the nearby shoal zone at Side 5, they would actually be sending various machines that were at 60% condition or better for further repairs. One of their greatest triumphs was restoring an entire Musai-class to working order shortly before Operation Stardust. While he did have his duties running the company, Alan and the other pilots didn't sit idly by for 3 years, frequently traveling into the shoal zone for training or to inspect the capabilities of salvaged machines. The old Papua was still in use by the group all up until the climax of the Operation, Alan and his men sated with revenge left with the Delaz fleet survivors to Axis.
At Axis, his men used salvage and engineering work to build or serve the new classes of ships while Alan and his pilots were spread out among the various military divisions. Although the brass sought to award Lynch a several rank promotion, he declined due to his preference of the battlefield over the bridge of a ship or to have others salute him on honors. He did train a lot of rough recruits in his time stuck at the asteroid, as well as appropriate resource asteroids which his family had prospected throughout the years for materials to provide for Axis's resource appetite. But as time passed, Alan as well as several of his old men and even new recruits grew anxious whenever reports from the Earth Sphere trickled to the asteroid belt. Immediately upon the establishment of the new 1st Advanced Recon Fleet, Alan among others put in for transfer.
