"Emboar!!!" The large pig Pokémon yelled loudly. Clashing with the Nidoqueen in front of the duo. The fire pokemon grunting and groaning as it continued to push it's weight forward. Stomping it's stubby feet in defiance of being pushed out of the ring. Among Jaxon's pokemon Emboar would probably be considered an ace of sorts. It was powerful, large, and every single attack Emboar used was devastating. Perhaps a little too good at throwing it's weight around.
The Indigo League hosted in the days before the actual tournament started a sumo contest. The winner would win free meals at the Decidueye's Diner. A local restaurant that sponsored this event every single year. Only the heaviest Pokémon could enter. Jaxon was in the semi-finals round.
Litwick was at Jaxon's side. Cheering the larger fire pokemon on to battle.
It seemed to have some success as the Nidoqueen was finally being pushed back. Driving Poison Jabs into Emboar's side as the fiery hog's arm thrust seemed to hold so much more weight. It was going to ring out in no time. Which brought some dismay from the other trainer as he ordered "Let's try a Water Pulse!!!"
A quick blast of water covered Emboar. Steam rolling off Emboar as he seemed to slip further back... It seemed like Emboar was yielding but maybe...

Jaxon was in "the zone", he was in sync with his Pokemon, and he watched as Emboar did what he did best, throwing his weight around. Yet, he was not so foolish as to think the Nidoqueen did not have a few aces to use, and a battle could turn instantly if one was not careful, he knew that from personal experience.
The poison was nasty, but it would not be enough to stop Emboar.
Then came the pulse of water, causing steam to roll up in the arena.
"Don't give up, you got this!" He called out, putting as much of his encouragement as he could in those words. "Retaliate with Flame Charge! Fill this stadium with steam and show them that a little water is not going to be enough!"
