General Information
Name:
Xefort the Discordant Maestro
Race:
Nobody
Gender:
Male
Role:
Myrmidon
Origin World:
Unknown
Age:
Unknown (Looks in his early 30s)
History:
The Discordant Maestro
Xefort's history is a mystery. He has been a Nobody for several years and an active member of the Council of Naught for almost as long. He was one of the first recruited by Xossman. He rarely touches upon who he used to be and his "true" name, only that he used to be an excellent musician.
He does make a habit of dramatic retellings of his glorious life, which never seem to have the same background and are sometimes wildly different from one retelling to the other. Even the nature of his homeworld has changed, as has his age. Sometimes, he is married, and other times, he is not. He could say his world was swallowed by darkness, he used to live on Humanity's Haven, or he is from the Boiling Isles... who can say for sure which is true, if any are.
The Truth of the Matter
Whoever Could He Be?!
Still, Xefort has made something of a name for himself, or more precisely... several names. Using his powers of persuasion combined with Illusions and Music, he has been nestling himself into several worlds with several identities over the years. He is furthering the goals of his allies wherever possible, pushing events towards some unseen goal.
He's not a small number of rivals and enemies and is delighted to make life difficult for as many as possible. Those who underestimated him and were foolish enough to let him talk found themselves quickly wrapped up in whatever machination the Nobody was working on. Even today, many of his identities remain unconnected to him, meaning no one has yet exposed them as being him in disguise; after all, why would they? The majority remain blissfully unaware of the existence of other worlds, and the Union's rules are not making that any easier... all the better.
He has earned him the monicker , The Discordant Maestro, and it is this that he is generally known as by The Keyblade Union. It also stems from his recent encounter with one of the three Keyblade Masters, Erst. The two happened upon each other as Erst sought a potential new Keyblade warrior, exposing one of The Nobody's identities. This resulted in Xefort escaping before Master Erst could apprehend or gain any helpful information from the encounter.
He still holds a grudge against the leader of the Union ever since for ruining his fun and being a holier-than-thou spoilsport.
In Recent Times
Recently, the Discordant Maestro has managed to insert himself into Emperor Belos's coven, combining his voice and trickery, taking on a new identity and making a name for himself at the Boiling Isles. He's also allied himself with the human known as David Xanatos, keeping an eye on him at the behest of Xossman. Xefort is not convinced that the businessman is that important, but for the moment, he entertains the plan until he loses interest.
He is ever the politician, the manipulator, and the maestro, keeping himself busy to stifle boredom as much as furthering the Council's agenda.
Appearance
As Jaxon Caddville
As Marisol
As Mr Fowler
Physical Appearance:
In his true form, Xefort appears as a tall gentleman with silvery hair styled in a loose backcombing and a long tail down his back. His skin is pale, almost as white as his hair, and his eyes glow with a sinister red light. His limbs are long, and his fingers are slender with sharp black claws instead of nails. Still, his most recognizable feature is the large curved horns that grow from his head, starting as black at the base but quickly shifting to an almost bloodred crimson, and a pair of large bat-like wings growing from his back, which can be used for flight, they can also be pulled back into his body when not in use.
At the same time, his powers allow him to alter his physical appearance, and he likes to take the form of a young man with brown hair and a fair complexion, where his eyes turn to hazel brown.
Clothing/Armor:
Xefort, no matter what form, likes to dress for success. The Nobody takes great pride in his general appearance and likes to dress the part whenever possible. This usually takes the form of fine suits with high shoulders and coats with tails often found in conductors. He has a preference for clothes in black, red and blue with white accents.
Sometimes, he dresses in the more protective black cloak, but only when necessary and always begrudgingly.
Weapon(s):
The Baton of Discord
Xefort's choice of weapon is his conductor's baton, a wand-like object used for orchestras. He uses it to manipulate sound and create illusions.
Misc.:
Xefort uses several different identities, mainly depending on what world he is visiting and the identity's purpose. Here are some examples of forms he has used:
Jaxon Caddville - Humanity's Haven
Marisol - The Boiling Isles
Mr Fowler - Starlight Sanctum
Personality
General Personality:
A manipulator who usually plays on his victim's emotions to have a psychological advantage, with no remorse for what he has done. He is making up for being the physically weakest of his peers by being one of the most sly and cunning, knowing what to say to get people on his side but as quickly getting under their skin. A trickster at heart, Xefort plays along with the plans of his allies but has no genuine interest in it himself; he revels in discord more so than anything else and, given the chance, is more than likely to cause a situation to derail, at least as long as it cannot be traced back to him.
Xefort will stop at nothing to further his ambitions, including manipulating anyone if necessary. He frequently toys with his allies and enemies for amusement. He rarely shows signs of alarm or distress. He often has entire situations planned well in advance, preferring not to go into a situation without knowing he has a way out, making him slippery and difficult to pin down.
He likes to attempt to draw out a conversation and make small talk, which often infuriates those he is talking to. The Nobody is, above all else, a coward and is well aware that he could never win an outright conflict with anyone. A novice Keyblade Warrior would be enough to take him out in a fair fight, fair being the critical part-- because playing fair is something Xefort would never do. He relies heavily on his way of talking himself out of a situation, combined with illusions and trickery, but should that fail; he is the first to turn tail and escape.
That being said, Xefort can be less agreeable when things don't go his way and has moments of great anger bordering on rage, reserved for those he despises most. Faced with such a person, the Maestro can easily forget all plans and divert all energy to get one up on whoever has earned his ire. A fact that can easily be exploited if his enemies are aware of the weakness. Manipulating the Manipulator is not easy, but it is not impossible if one knows the secrets of how. Thankfully, these episodes are short and far between.

Dreams/Goals:
While other Nobodys might claim they wish to regain their hearts, Xefort has no such illusions. He finds his state as a Nobody to be more than enough; if anything, it makes him more influential. He has few long-term goals or dreams; he lives mainly here and now. For now, his two major concerns are:
- Continue to work for Xossman, but secretly being primarily allied with Ryxma's "faction" of the Council.
- Travelling the worlds and continuing being the trickster he truly is.
- Pulling the rug from under Master Erst is a nice bonus if he can swing it.
- Finish his "Magnum Opus", the most incredible piece of magical music in all worlds.
Abilities
Skills:
Musical Talent
Xefort is a highly talented musician and maestro. He can play the majority of well-known songs and several lesser-known ones. He supplements his magic with knowledge of music and sound.
Observant
Few things escape Xefort's notice, and he is less likely to fall for a trap or be taken by surprise. He is a master at noticing small details in mannerisms and is not slow to use these to his advantage.
Orator
Even without using his Maestro's Voice, Xefort knows how to turn a phrase. He has the manners and oration of a gentleman. An impeccable actor who can take on the mannerisms and affections of others as quickly as one might change socks. He is also a terrifyingly good liar, able to spin lies and deceptions without much effort, and even the most observant have a difficult time knowing if he is telling the truth.
Power of Darkness
Like the rest of his ilk, Xefort can travel using the corridors of darkness and can command lesser nobodies and heartless. His Nobodies and Heartless are generally music, theatre and opera-themed.
Magic:
The Maestro's Voice
Magic is all good; some elements are manipulated, and Xefort uses sound and illusions. But of all his magic, none is as dangerous as the power of his voice. He has a very persuasive voice, lacing his words with just enough magic that it might sway others, not to control them, but to make what he says appear as truthful and appealing, even when people know him as a liar. What he said has a way of making sense, at least in the moment. He can pluck at the strings of the heart as one might a harp, earning trust and cooperation, making idiocy sound like wisdom and madness as sanity. He might be awful in a fight, but even mighty warriors have become victims to the power of the Maestro's Voice. The effect grows the longer he is allowed to talk, so the worst thing people can do is let him speak, a flaw people tend to do when they think of themselves as having an advantage.
Music Magic
The core of Xefort's magic is music and the manipulation of sounds. This magic is not intended to be used outright for battle but to manipulate perception, create abstract illusions and disrupt the senses. These illusions can interact with physical objects and people; they can be very realistic, and those under the illusions might not even be aware of them. Here are examples of some of the spell-like qualities of his magic:
Confuse
It can cause enemies to become confused and accidentally find it challenging to tell if they are attacking allies or foes.
Glamour
It makes it possible for Xefort to disguise himself as something or someone else. He does not gain access to their abilities, but he can take the appearance and mimic the voice of others quickly enough. His power of voice still works when disguised this way.
Illusionary World
Using illusions, Xefort can alter the appearance of an area as he sees fit, trapping victims inside complicated Illusions and giving them hallucinations. Those trapped inside will feel things as if they were real, so losing an arm will feel like losing an arm until they break free, at which point everything they experienced revert to normal.
Disharmonious Sonics
Xefort's only mode of offensive magic is the ability to attack using concentrated sonic energy. They appear as swirls of notes and lines. These notes are controlled using the baton and can be made faster if Xefort uses his free hand to direct them.
Sounds Shield
Like the Barrier spell, Xefort can create a shield of concentrated sound to protect himself from attackers. It is especially effective against range attacks but can be used for melee in a pinch.
Anti-Sound
Xefort can manipulate music to make sounds and remove them. He can create an area without sound, trapping people in a void where no noise can be heard or made. This has been enough to drive people insane.
Gravira
It causes the gravity around an area to become stronger, potentially making it difficult for victims to move and forcing flying targets to the ground—a more potent version of the Gravity spell.
Stopra
A more potent version of Stop. It inflicts the Stop status, which temporarily freezes targets in time.
Sleepra
It puts a target into a magical sleep; the amount of time depends mainly on the target's condition, and if they suffer damage, it instantly wakes them. An AOE attack that allows Xefort to put surrounding enemies to sleep.
Bond Information
Friends/Allies:
Ryxma
There are no sides in the Council; unofficially, Xefort is more closely aligned with Ryxma than any others. The two share a similar passion for dramatics.
Emperor Belos
Using his powers of persuasion, Xefort has managed to nestle his way into the closer circle of Emperor Belos, and to most of the people of the boiling Isles, he is a member of the Emperor's Coven. Going by the name Marisol
David Xanatos
Xefort has had dealings with Xanatos, primarily linked to his human form.
Rivals/Enemies:
Edan Atlas
The two nobodies have butted heads on a few occasions, and to say they do not get along would be an understatement.
Master Erst
While Xefort has a grudge against the Union, he has more hatred towards Erst than others. He dramatically dislikes the Keyblade Masters's "sanctimonious prattle" and can cause well-made plans to derail if Xefort sees an opening to get one over on Master Erst. Something that the Union could potentially use against the Maestro.
Faction Link(s):
The Keyblade Union
As a member of the Council of Naught, Xefort is not on good terms with the Union. They have butted heads over the years in different locations, which usually follow the patterns of exposing the Nobody and him escaping before they can get their hands on him. Out of all the other members, he has perhaps been the most active recently.
Citizen of Haven
Most Citizens of Haven know Xefort by the name of Jaxon Caddville, a famous young Maestro who has made a splash for himself recently.
The Council of Naught
On the surface, Xefort is loyal to the Council, but his interests lie more in satisfying his need for discord and disharmony. The other Nobodies have little reason to mistrust him, and he is not regarded as a high-ranked member, which is how he likes it. Still, his voice allows him to get information by earning trust in the right places.

The Truth of the Matter
The Truth is that Xefort has changed himself so many times that he doesn't remember who he used to be. With so many identities created and abandoned, he can no longer be sure if Xefort is even who he is or if that is another fake identity he created for himself. The sad reality is that Xefort is a very pitiable creature, and being a trickster, manipulating the world to suit himself, are one of the few things he knows how to do. He is a liar and a coward and will most likely never change or have the courage to confront his flaws.
No fool, like a self-delusional fool.
