Glenn isn’t too impressive of a physical specimen, though he definitely gets in his exercise, and is pretty fitness-aware, of himself and those that he hangs out with. Almost lanky in physique, Glenn is spry and tall for his age, with abnormally sky-blue hair that usually falls about his face in an impeccably unkempt style. This settled early on, Glenn letting his hair be as it wants to be. His eyes are as blue as his hair, which is either a very off-putting thing for people or a very distinguished feature that no one can forget. When Glenn smiles, one can swear that light shines off of his teeth like a cartoonish glint, though this is surely a trick of the imagination.
Clothing:
Say what you will about Glenn, you can’t deny that he has a sense of a style, even if it is a little roughshod. He layers bright jerseys over long-sleeve jackets, reaching as far as simple, black fingerless gloves on his hands that complete the look of most up-and-coming Trainers his age. With dark-blue jeans and red running shoes, Glenn has a pretty sharp image wherever he goes, wherever he’s doing.
Personal Items: Bubble gum of a number of varieties, many of them shades of red and blue, cherry and berry-flavored specifically. Several combs of course, and a PokeNav equally colored red and green with a white stripe running down the middle between the two. All of this, and anything else Glenn might need as an up and coming Pokemon Trainer, somehow manages to all fit in his pockets.

Personal Information

General Personality:
Glenn is a pretty quirky kid. He’s certainly easygoing and amiable with just about everyone he meets, one can’t help but feel that he has some distance and awkwardness to himself as well. He’s happy to simply “be” around people, no matter how frantic or complicated things might get. This makes Glenn an effective deterrent to tension and drama, something that he takes in stride. While a lot of people might think Glenn “cool” in personality and general appearance, he doesn’t “mean” to be, simply being who he is because… well, it’s who he is, and that’s all there is to it. It’s for this reason that he loves Water Pokemon so much, so carefree and going wherever the flow takes them. However, Glenn is also a hopeless, nervous romantic, and given his utter transparency when it comes to his personality, this part of him is overlooked by everyone, or at the very least ignored, people refusing to believe that someone so otherwise charismatic and charming could be so socially inept when it comes to understanding girls and proper, healthy relationships. His pick-up lines are beyond groan-worthy, he doesn’t know the first thing about date etiquette, and perhaps worst of all, he’s clueless to when someone else has feelings for him. All in all, Glenn is a charming yet airheaded guy, somehow managing to encompass two polarizing opposites on the social spectrum with clarity and panache.
Habits:
Picking up chicks (and succeeding), all things cherry and berry-flavored, going with the flow, Water-Type Pokemon, taking long walks on the anywhere, noodles and other slurpy things
Being alone, being misunderstood, how shy and timid he can often be (and how he can’t seem to improve), grape-flavored things, aggressive and arrogant people (why can’t we just get along D:), Poison-type Pokemon (They feel cheap and insensitive)
Goal: On a superficial level, Glenn is here to pursue his juvenile dreams of making it out on his own and pursuing things on his terms, especially when it comes to relationships. On a deeper level, some of that is still true. Glenn didn’t necessarily come to Altair City first on his own terms, but he’s slowly coming to realize that it did him some good, and he wants to continue doing himself some good as he learns more about Pokemon and the life that he can make in that sort of world… and to an extent, that still includes finding someone that he can be serious with, even if he isn’t quite serious enough for that kind of commitment yet.
History:
Glenn was particularly blessed to have been born and raised in Sunyshore City. It was the most ideal environment for him: shining lights, shimmering seas, and long, sandy beaches, Glenn couldn’t get enough of it all. He was as carefree and blissful as a kid could be. With his parents working as full-time electrical engineers for the Sunyshore Lighthouse as well as the Sunyshore Pokemon Gym, Glenn and his older brother George would be free to spend their days however they pleased, often by playing for hours on end on the beach, and in their more adolescent years, the city life. George was much more inclined to take up Pokemon Training, whereas Glenn was the much more laidback of the two, content to watch and cheer his brother on from the sidelines. Glenn was hardly serious, not really seeing the point to be so serious with Pokemon, seeing how Pokemon Battles were literally pitting your companions against those of another in pitched combat. Eventually, however, George managed to convince his younger brother to not think so pessimistically, the boy coming to appreciate what being a Pokemon Trainer was all about.

It wasn’t long before Glenn had a Pokemon of his own, and he took to Barry like a Buizel takes to water… well, because Barry was a Buizel. Regardless, as the brothers grew older, they took more to the nightlife of Sunyshore than carelessly playing around on the beach as they had in past years. Glenn was an open book with his feelings and impulses, especially when it came to his brother. He took his little bro under his wing and taught him the finer art of wooing the ladies, though George was… not the best of teachers in this regard. Realizing what George was doing to poor Glenn, as well as making their waning interest in becoming Pokemon Trainers top priority, the boys’ parents quickly made arrangements to send Glenn off to Altair City with Barry for something of a getaway trip, while George remained home and was put back on track.

Arriving at Eltanin Bay was a bit of culture shock for Glenn. Familiarizing himself with Altair City as a whole continued that trend for Glenn for quite some time. His parents arranged for his room and board with Lloyd, an eccentric albeit suitable role model that they had worked with on some projects. The details were hazy, but Glenn had never seen a reason to ask, and Lloyd never seemed to bring it up. Though he didn’t seem that much different from Glenn’s brother at the outset, he was deceptively disciplined, and didn’t hesitate to instill some of it in Glenn either. It wasn’t perfect, but over time Glenn started to recognize the value of hard work in helping around the wharf. Simple work wasn’t all Glenn learned, though. He also learned plenty about Pokemon training from Lloyd, to the point where he even got a couple new friends to keep Barry company. By the time that his time in Altair City had come to a close, Glenn wasn’t remotely close to being ready to head back home, after everything he was only starting to learn… and, of course, figuring out what made the Altair girls tick.

Apparently, that was a test he hadn’t been expected to pass… about wanting to learn more about growing up, not about picking up girls. Lloyd continued to allow Glenn to stay with him, until he could sort out a place for himself and his Pokemon. Eager and excited to reach that point, Glenn is looking forward to learning everything that it takes to be a Pokemon Trainer… and perhaps more importantly, what it takes to get a hot date.
