Appearance
Physical Appearance
Kagayaku is a large, muscular man who stands over six feet and weighs a lot more than you would think. His white hair is short and spiky with a twin ponytail at the back. He has a short-cropped beard in a vague Van Dyke style,a long moustache and pointed chin piece but with a chinstrap running to his hairline. Kagayaku has steely blue eyes, full of fire and enthusiasm. His muscular body is covered in scars, running from his shoulders all the way down to his stomach and crosshatched all along both arms.
Civilian Clothes
Kagayaku's clothing of choice is quite generic and he usually sticks to clothes that are easy to wash. T-shirts and denim jeans are his usual choice and he is often in large boots. Sometimes Kagayaku will wear a coat or a sweatshirt if it is cold. He avoids wool, silk and polyester. He prefers cotton, denim and cardigans instead, as they don't create static.
Hero Outfit
Kagayaku's main part of his outfit are specially created gloves that conduct static electricity from his body and store it for release. Kagayaku can release on command. They can store up to three hundred megawatts safetly and are capable of releasing anywhere from one watt to the full amount (though this is dangerous and reckless, only something Kagayaku would do as a final gambit). The rest of his uniform is made up of a skin-tight blue vest, which is bullet and flameproof, a single steel pauldron on his left shoulder and brown cargo pants that fall to a pair of large boots. Around his waist he wears two sashes; one red with white stripes and the other a dirty brown, the latter which is highly absorbant and can be used as a bandage or sling in an emergency.
Personality
Bad Habits
Kagayaku is, perhaps, too trusting and too full of mercy. He will let someone off if they seem genuinely repentful of their wrong deeds. Kagayaku doesn't hold many grudges or give into anger, though when he does it can be highly destructive. Most of the time he holds himself back, even when fighting a villain, if he does not fully believe they are beyond mercy.
Goal
Kagayaku always wanted to help people, even at a young age. He became a pro-hero, and later a teacher at U.A., so he could genuinely give his all to bring aid and good advice to those who needed it.
General Personality
Kagayaku is a fearless, enthusiastic and strong-willed man. He fights for the good of everyone, always holding a standard that he believes he and everyone should strive for. Selfless and kind, Kagayaku is just the kind of person you need at your side when entering a situation of life and death.
Kagayaku is easily amused and loves to laugh. He likes a joke, though he isn't very good at them, and is often smiling wide or laughing loud. He is a strong friend to have and does everything he can to make people's lives better. One of the reason he went into teaching was to impart his knowledge and wisdom onto the younger generation. He will go out of his way if he thinks someone is upset or angry about something and is always ready to lend an ear or a shoulder to cry on.
In a battle, he is a relentless force. While he withholds his strikes on opponents that he doesn't view as a "pure" villain, he is still a powerhouse and has trained his entire life with his quirk and physical prowess. Kagayaku enjoys sparring and boxing and does hold a small amount of excitement when he enters a real battle, though he is always quick to deliver mercy to those who ask or he believes deserve it. This can be seen as a flaw and has been used a few times in the past by villains who just want to cause harm. However he isn't always the first to rush into combat and often stays behind to help with any collateral damge, wounds and anything more serious.
While he does not have an anger problem, if brought to the boil Kagayaku becomes a destructive force of nature, demolishing everything in his path. His quirk is dangerous in that manner as it can cause a great deal of damage to an area. Kagayaku not only trains his body and quirk but also maintains an inner peace, through medidation and daily yoga, as well as herbal tea. He drinks on occasion but had issues in his youth with anger and alcohol so mostly sticks to the simple things in life to keep him at peace.

History
Kagayaku's quirk manifested when he was four, not to the surprise of both of his parents. They knew he would have a troublesome quirk due to them both struggling to control theirs at an early age. Luckily he was in good hands and was raised, alongside his younger brother and sister, to gain control over his quirk before he started school. Kagayaku's quirk was more of a pain than either parents or siblings as it was quite a passive and uncontrollable thing. His skin was constant static and he was always getting in trouble for accidentally letting it fire off and take out any nearby technology.
By the time he applied for U.A., Kagayaku was in control of his quirk but still had issues. He was accepted to the school and, after the entrance exam, took a spot in class 1-B. He trained all the time and soon commissioned items to help focus his quirk and channel it, making it his own power rather than one that controlled him. From an unwieldy all-body conductive suit, he worked with the support department until eventually they developed a smart pair of gloves which focused his static electricity into two specific areas, turning his passive ability into quite a destructive offensive one.
Kagayaku was chosen to shadow under the pro-hero Medicine Man. He was confused for a while, until Medicine Man explained about how he could use his quirk Static in a way to help people that didn't include punching. It was hear he learned to use it like a defibrillator and where he learned a lot of medical skills. Kagayaku found himself very relaxed working under Medicine Man and was learning to stifle a lot of anger issues he was going through as a teenager. The pro-hero agency offered him a position once he graduated U.A., an offer which Kagayaku firmly accepted.
As a side-kick, Kagayaku dealt a lot with support and evacuation than suppression. Medicine Man was not one to chasedown villains but stayed back where the damage had been caused and did what he could for innocent victims and civilians. Kagayaku had a few run ins with villains but mostly he expanded his medical knowledge and became quite a well-known support hero. Eventually after a few years he decided to move on and start his own agency, the Thunderclap Agency. Kagayaku worked out a way to combine rescue and suppression and, for a few years, was one of the most pro-active agencies in the country.
Thunderclap kept working for a few decades, encountering countless victims and aiding many civilians in his time. Eventually he decided he was done with pro-hero life. He was in his late fourties and wore many scars from villains and rescue missions. Kagayaku passed his agency down to his sidekick to run and hung up his proverbial cloak at the door.
His quiet life didn't last long, however. He was approached by the Principal of U.A. High, his old school. They were looking for experienced pro-heroes to come and teach, to impart their knowledge and experience onto the new generation. Kagayaku enjoyed the sound of this. He had found himself quite bored of not helping people. So he took up the position of General Education Studies teacher within the school, working with those who, while they may not be in Heroics, can still do good in the world and hone their skills as he once did.
Quirk
Name
Static
Quirk Type
Emitter
Power
Static generates static electricity on the surface of Kagayaku's skin. By wearing a pair of special gloves he can control the electricity into his fists.
Supermoves
Defibrillator
What Kagayaku is most known for is his supporting ability, Defibrillator. He can kick-start someone's heart if they have gone into a cardiac arrest by placing both hands on their chest and releasing an electric current through them. Kagayaku can also use this to send a jolt of electricity into objects, like cars or phones that have died, and charge them swiftly in one single moment. This can, however, overload if he is not careful.
Thunderclap
By generating electricity in his fists, Kagayaku can release it in a punch, transfering the energy into the body of an opponent. This can cause a temporary paralysis.
Electrify
By bringing both palms down on the ground, Kagayaku can release a surge of electricity. Anyone touching the ground in approximately a thirty foot radius will conduct and take a fierce blast of electrical energy.
EMP Burst
This is a move he can only do without his gloves. Kagayaku can release all the static energy in his body at once, blowing out any electrical appliances or technology in a thirty metre radius. It leaves him paralysed and short-circuited!
Drawbacks
Kagayaku's palms are always generating static electricity so he has to wear specialised gloves at all times or else risks accidently releasing a blast of energy into anything he touches. He struggles using electric items, such as phones or computers, as touching them can cause them to short-circuit even when wearing his gloves. He has to be careful around flammable gas and if he touches another electric charge it may run back into his body. Kagayaku also attracts dust, dirt and other microparticles to his skin even when wearing his gloves, meaning he has to wash his clothes at least once a day. Finally, Kagayaku acts like a lightning rod, his latent static a beacon during thunderstorms or if an electric quirk is used in his vicinity. While his gloves can absorb a partial amount of this, he still remains indoors during rainy days and tries to avoid fights with electic-type opponents.
Fighting Style
Kagayuki is a close-combat brawler. He fights with powerful punches, utilising his quirk to paralyse opponents before delivering a great barrage of knock-out strikes.
