Physical Appearance
Shinja is a girl of average height, standing at about five foot and an inch, weighing in at a light ninety-five pounds. She has a fair complexion, her skin unblemished or unmarked by any scars or birthmarks. Her eyes, which are always alive with a fire-driven emotion, are a warm amber in colour. Her hair, which she is immensely proud of and keeps brushed and conditioned daily, hangs about her shoulders in locks that are half black and half white in colour. Shinja keeps the fringe trimmed at a horizontal angle, accompanied by bangs that frame her face on both sides. Perhaps the most interesting thing about her is her palms, where two fans take up most of the space, and her feet, where four more line her soles. These fans are constantly revolving and she is often seen cleaning or dusting them, taking immaculate care of her in-build cooling system.
Civilian Clothes
Shinja rarely dresses warm, even in winter, instead opting for skirts and tights, or loose t-shirts, maybe sometimes a hat or a scarf if the weather is really biting. She owns a custom pair of green sneakers, which have holes built into the soles that slot her feet-fans in perfectly and don't restrict any airflow.
Hero Outfit
Befitting of her hero name, which she took from her late Grandfather, Shinja also sports a similar costume to him. An orange flight-jacket, lined with fur to keep her warm when flying at high altitudes, grey slacks of the same nature and ankle-height brown boots with the same customization as her shoes, with holes in the sole to fit her feet-fans. She wears specialized black gloves that fit over her hand-fans without restricting airflow. Over her hair, Shinja wears her Grandfather's old flight helmet, complete with goggles to protect her eyes from the wind, and a balaclava usually tucked into her jacket.

Shinja can come across as quite cocky and arrogant. She likes to boast about herself, something that can often be seen as putting other people down. Shinja is often seen rushing into situations without fully thinking it through, a trait that has got her into trouble during her school years.

She is a larger-than-life presence in her class and among her friends, always the loudest and the first to come up with ideas. However, she never means to be, and is always looking out for her friends and classmates, even those she doesn't like too much. While she shoots for the sky, Shinja simultaneously tries to bring everyone else with her, never leaving anyone behind and always helping those that need her help.

Deep down Shinja is a decent person, in her own way, though she makes few close friends due to her manner of speaking to others. History
Shinja always knew she wanted to be a hero. She was the youngest of her siblings, standing out as she inherited her mother's quirk rather than her fathers, like her two brothers. This quirk had been passed down by her late Grandfather, a pro-hero called Aeronaut, one of the top ten of Japan's heroes in what was named the Silver Age. Shinja knew everything about Sanwa Hikosen, had all his posters on her wall and all of his vintage collectables. She was, pardon the pun, his biggest fan. Her parents, however, frowned on the idea of her becoming a hero. They were both in business, in high-end renewable energy companies, and wanted all three of their children to enter the family business. While her two brothers made plans to do so, Shinja was off day-dreaming about fighting crime with her Grandfather.
A smart girl, Shinja did well at school but still resisted following in the footsteps of her parents. While her older brothers made steps towards it, Shinja was doing all she could to stay away. She worked hard to make her way towards U.A. and towards her dream of being a hero like her Grandfather. So much was her conviction that she was noticed by her teachers. Her skills with her quirk, her aptitude with tests and her intriguing personality, where she spoke her mind and was always blunt and to the point, meant that she was eventually offered a place in U.A. through an official recommendation. This was the final straw for her parents who gave up trying to push her into the world of business and accepted that Shinja would eventually be flying high as a pro-hero.
Shinja's prowess with her quirk took her easily through U.A.'s recomendation entrance exam, and her intelligence meant she was given a space in the prestigious class of 1-A. From there she could only go up, hitting the mark with the sport festival and coming in third place overall (due to a poor match-up against a fire user). She was offered several internships and came out with a lot of knowledge under her belt. Shinja grew more in her second year, working alongside heroes in the field and making a name for herself. Now, as she enters her third year, she looks to find out more about her grandfather and what it truly means to wear the mantle of Aeronaut.

Shinja has six fans embedded in her body, two in her palms and two in each of her feet. Shinja can control how fast they revolve, and can choose how many of them she controls at once. For such a small size the fans are surprisingly powerful, able to lift Shinja off the ground for a long period of time and even create a blast of wind and air from her hands. She can use just her palms to make her running speed insanely quick as well as close-quarters dodging from melee attacks, deftly manoeuvring around a battlefield with swift and precise movements. After working with the Support Department, she has upgraded her old fans into sleek new blades. These run faster, use less energy and allow her to use her Supermoves more than once without blowing out!

Shinja can use her fans to fly seamlessly through the air. The four on her feet act as thrust while the two on her hands can be used to move around in a 3D plain.
Vacuum Blast
Shinja can use her fans to suck objects and people in an area around her, creating a vacuum sensation which she can then explode outwards in a blast of air! This is especially useful with groups of enemies.
Air Cannon
Similar to Hurricane Blast in a short burst to create "bullets" of air, high-pressure blasts that she can fire off in a quick succession! As they aren't using a lot of energy, she can use this supermove a lot more often than Hurricane Blast.
Hurricane Blast!
By overclocking the fans on her palms, Shinja can create a vicious whirlwind blast from both hands which is strong enough to send a person of average weight flying backwards. She has to rest her hand fans after the blast though as they can overheat and cause her harm. With her newly upgraded fans, she can use this a few times in a row without overheating, and can bounce back faster!
Drawbacks
Shinja's fans replaced her ability to sweat, so she has to have the fans running constantly to keep her cool, like a high-spec computer. She has to meticulously clean her fans once a week to make sure they don't build up with dust, or else they run the risk of overheating. Shinja can't use her palm fans for as long as her feet as they are not as powerful, which is why she relies more on flying than using her quirk to propel herself while running on the ground. Her quirk will stall if her fans are blocked by anything. She is vulnerable to heat or fire-based quirks due to the fact her fans have to run overtime in higher temperatures. If the fans are broken or damaged, then they won't regrow, and Shinja will have to get them replaced herself with new blades.

Shinja relies on speed and manoeuvrability in a fight. She is not the strongest individual, but she is one of the nimblest. Her fans allow her to adjust her speed and direction at a second's notice, weaving through opponents and under incoming attacks or ducking out of the way, either to the side or straight up. Shinja's strength lies in the fact that she is extremely hard to catch or hit. During her time at U.A. she has learnt many methods of restraint and can use her speed and flexibility to take down an enemy quickly, pinning them to the floor. Larger opponents are dealt with by launching her Hurricane Blast at them to knock them off balance, and she can use her fans to push down on prone individuals with her body weight and the power of her fans, holding them down while help comes.
