The war for the Earth Sphere marches onward and so too does the march of technology. What was once a top of the line mobile suit has slowly fallen to the wayside, overshadowed by not just the new models deployed by their allies but also those by their enemies. As a result, new designs are constantly being developed and added to the fighting force.
Q&A (Everyone should read this!):
Q: How will this work?
A: New mobile suits will be added to this thread via the moderators (Darkspostle222 or The Green Flame). A Master List of the mobile suits added will be in the post following this one and divided by factions: AEUG, Titans or Axis Zeon.
Additionally, anytime a new selection of machines are added, we’ll make a new post saying “UPDATED!” with a list of specific machines added. Outside of this thread, details on the specific machines can be found within each faction’s Arsenal thread.
Once you’ve chosen your desired mobile suit, you must post in your profile the machine you’re upgrading/transferring to as well as its armaments, just like in your original character profile.
Note: If you don't list your armaments, us mods will assume that your mobile suit will be using its standard loadout as listed on the MAHQ Database/Gundam Wiki.
Q: How do I go about earning these upgrades? Can I transfer between existing machines?
A: It’s actually very simple. Upgrading from your initial machine simply requires consistently posting and taking part in threads, especially combat. Generally speaking, you’ll need to have taken part in a minimum of two combat threads since your last upgrade or initial chosen machine. This goes for transferring to already existing machines as well (For example, switching from the Hizack to the Galbaldy Beta).
Note: Regarding machines that are limited in supply, these are both first come, first serve and subject to moderator approval. Some machines are under more scrutiny than others so if you’re not sure, just ask!
Q: I want a mobile suit that’s not listed, can I get it?
A: This is a tricky one. If it’s within reason and both moderators agree upon it, then yes. Simply PM/DM us regarding the details of what you’re after and we’ll discuss it there. If it’s approved, then simply post it to your profile as if it were any other upgrade. The moderator’s will update this thread and the Arsenal (s) accordingly. However, there is a definitive list of additions planned for each faction so if something is denied, that may have played a factor.
Mobile Suits added in this way will be under a "Personal Requisition" category and will include who requested the unit itself.
Suggestions are also welcome with the same requirements!
Q: What happens to the old mobile suits? Will they still be available?
A: As the war continues, some mobile suits will simply be relegated to a “Retired Mobile Weapons” category, found in a spoiler tab at the bottom of the very first post, below “Weapons.” These mobile suits are freely selectable but there is a noticeable gap in performance with what is commonly used. Still, with the right hands at the controls and some luck, they’ll get the job done when needed.
