Visual Appearance:
Physical Appearance: Flynn keeps his black hair short, but a bit messy. His amber eyes always are almost gold like and his skin are rather fair. He’s a bit short for his age, around 5”2, and pretty slender. He has a few piercings in his ears; small, 8mm gauges in both, an industrial and 2 upper cartilage piercings occupied by small, black hoops in the left, and six cartilage piercings in the right that he has studs going down in different colors to form the rainbow.
Civilian Clothes: Flynn dresses in a bit of a gothic, slightly flamboyant style. I go to outfit is a black, slightly cropped long sleeve that falls off the shoulders, black, ripped skinnies, and a pair of black knee high converse shoes.
Hero Outfit: Fun House’s outfit has a bit of a gothic ring master vibe. He wears a black top hat with safety pins going down the side and a few small pins with little ghost designs on it (one has the letters FH). He has a black mask resembling something one may wear to a fancy masquerade ball. He has a black leather jacket that is cropped in the front and long in the back with a split (like a ring master’s jacket). His pants are black and tight and he wears black combat boots and black gloves.
Personality
Bad Habits: Flynn is very expressive when trying to converse with people. His emotions are worn on his sleeve and it can easily attract attention even if he stays dead silent while making a commotion.
Goal: Flynn’s goal is simple, become a pro hero. He’s always looked up to the heroes of the world and hopes to one day join their ranks to keep the world and the people in it safe.
General Personality: Flynn is very expressive and can be occasionally described as hyperactive. He always has to be doing something or he gets bored and distracted. He’s often been described as a puppy; cheerful and always seeking to make others happy, even at the cost of his own happiness.
Family
Mother: Rachel Hansha (Bloody Mary), deceased. Quirk: Bloody Mary; Rachel could converse with the dead using mirrors as a conduit.
Father: Kage Hansha, Alive. Quirk: Shadow Travel; Kage can slip into shadows and travel through them, jumping quickly from one to the other. He can only do this within a 20 foot radius.
Siblings: None
Extended family: Melissa Harbinger (Ghost Caller), Close family friend, deceased.
History: Flynn was born deaf. Since his mother was a fourth generation Deaf, it was pretty expected. He grew up in very loving and caring household. He grew up learning both American Sign Language and Japanese Sign Language so he could communicate with both sides of the family. His father was a CODA (child of deaf adult) from Japan who had moved to Canada when he was 13 and met Rachel, his high school sweetheart turned wife. His family had moved back to Japan when he was 21, but he chose to stay with his beloved and continue his life in Canada. Flynn’s mother was the sidekick to a well-known hero in Canada called Ghost Caller. She used her ability to commune with and control spirits to track and bring down many villains. Flynn really looked up to her growing up.
The incident happened when Flynn was 10 years old. Rachel and Melissa had gone on a tracking mission that turned out to be a trap. The villain also had abilities focused on the dead and were able to use that to lure the women to their deaths. After his mother passed away, Kage decided it best to move back to Japan to be with his family who could help him care for Flynn. Flynn made it his lifes goal to be like Melissa, his mother, and all the other heroes of the world who have given their lives to keep people safe.
Season 2 additions:
Flynn has managed to make a few new friends at U.A., something he honestly didn't know was possible until his second year. Tanzo learned sign language for him. Serena and Atsuro, along with Tanzo of course, have helped him come out of his shell and be more like his superhero persona than he ever thought he could be. And his casual flirting with Halldor seems to slowly but steadily be going in a decent direction. He is starting his internship with Nocturne this year, which he is absolutely stoked for, and hopes to learn even more from Shadow Daddy as he continues his studies. He's already managed to help him conquer his fear of bringing people into the mirror world which has helped him come up with a new super move, and is thinking of asking support for some new weapons that he could test some things out with in the future. Everything is on the up and up! Only time will tell where it goes from here, but here’s to hoping it is continuing on his path to victory!
Quirk
Name: Mirror Travel
Quirk Type: Emitter
Power:
- Flynn can go through any reflective surface so long as it’s big enough for him to fit through. He can quickly jump from reflective surface to reflective surface.
- He can also stay within the mirror world for an extended period of time and listen in to people on the other side without being noticed so long as he is touching the mirror.
- Time in the mirror world is halved. For example, if it would take Flynn 1 hour to walk somewhere in the real world, he would get there in only 30 minutes while in the mirror world. (Whilst touching or partially through the mirror to do any actions time for him is defaulted to real world time.)
- Flynn can bring other people into the mirror world with him so long as they are touching him while entering the reflective surface.
- Flynn can throw objects or weapons through reflective surfaces into the other world so long as he is touching a reflective surface while doing so.
Supermoves:
- Topsy Turvy: Flynn pulls the enemy into the mirror world and takes advantage of their lack of direction and balance, making it easier to disarm them and take them down.
- Now You See Me: Flynn quickly jumps from surface to surface within a small area, releasing a series of short and quick attacks while confusing the enemy who can't keep track of his exact location. (This only works in a room with multiple reflective surfaces large enough for him to jump through and makes him extremely sick afterwards)
Drawbacks:
- Flynn can only stay in the mirror world for 1 hour real time (2 hours mirror time) before getting effected by the disorienting effects.
- Going in and out of the mirror world multiple times in a row causes extreme vertigo.
- If The mirror breaks while he is partially through it, any part of him in the mirror will be severed and lost which could kill them instantly (obviously). This means he can't just linger between the two for too long.
- Anyone in the mirror world when he leaves, if they are not touching him, will be forcefully thrown out of the nearest reflective surface to the real world. (This will most likely break the surface if it is glass or another breakable substance, but they are thrown too quickly to risk being stuck between worlds when it happens.)
- If Flynn is knocked out or falls unconscious in the mirror world it acts as though he has left, ejecting him and anyone who is in there with him in a similar fashion.
- Anytime time Flynn uses a mirror (entering a mirror, exiting a mirror, using it to spy through, throwing something through it, etc.) that mirror becomes a clearly marked one way exit out of the mirror world. There is only one exit at a time; whenever he uses a new mirror for something, that mirror is now the exit and will remain open until he uses a different mirror. If an enemy is able to withstand the disorientation of the mirror world long enough to find the current exit they can escape.
- If someone is brought into the mirror world and exposed to its disorientation multiple times, they could be able to build a tolerance to it. Practice has shown that after daily, 5 minute exposure over the course of six months a person would be able to last about 30 minutes mirror time (1 hour real time) before succumbing to its effects. (This can be seen as both a good thing and a bad thing, as he can have allies train themselves, but enemies could build up a tolerance as well.)
Fighting Style: Fun House is a street brawler. He mostly uses hand in hand combat but can pick up just about anything and use it as a weapon. He’s fairly good at using his surroundings to his advantage. However, he’s not the strongest so he has to rely on quick thinking and speed.
