Physical Appearance: Not really anything else to add. What you see is what you get. Though it does take a LOT of work to get her hair settled in the mornings. She does normally where contacts, but some days it’s just not worth the hassle.
Clothing: Gwen dresses very tomboy chic. Typically, a tank top or graphic T-shirt over jean (short or long depending on the weather) and a pair of Converse. The jacket (which is actually a lot bigger on her than seen in the picture) is always on her somewhere, either being warn or tied around her waist. It belonged to her eldest brother. She stole it on her way out. Even at nicer occasions she prefers a pant suit over a dress.
Personal Items: Just the typical stuff. A backpack with all her supplies, Franklin (the name for her Rotom because she felt bad not giving the Rotom a name), A smaller bag for when she stays in hotels and can leave her larger bag in the room. Etc. Etc.
Personal Information
General Personality: Gwen is very curious and naïve. She hasn’t gotten to see much of the world yet and is excited for what adventures it may bring. She’s a bit of a tomboy, as to be expected when growing up with 6 brothers. She isn’t afraid to get down and dirty. However, she’s also quite shy with new people as she isn’t used to interacted with anyone outside her family. Her brothers warned her to be wary of strangers so having people approach her at random will put her on age (and sometimes cause jerk reactions to grab her mace).
Habits: Overreacting to small things, be it good or bad. She gets very excited by small things like simply seeing wild pokemon. She also gets very startled by small things like someone unexpected approaching her. Its best to give her fair warning before getting close. She also sometimes signs things instead of saying them if she forgets the word for something. One of her brothers (Griffin) is Deaf so she grew up using bother English and Sign Language.
Goal: Explore! See everything she can and enjoy the journey wherever it leads her.
History: Gwen hardly remembers her parents. They passed away when she was two years old in a car crash while on visiting family in Motorstoke. Gavin, the eldest, was 20 at the time and took custody of his siblings as quickly as possible. He took the role of a father figure for Gwen and her other brothers growing up while Gabriel, the second oldest, ended up playing a mother role. It was to the point where all the younger siblings eventually started calling them Mom and Dad.
They all lived on a large farm in Turffield raising Wooloo. It was hard work. But everyone had a role to play on the farm which made the load smaller. Split between Gavin, Gabriel, twins Grayson and Griffin, Graham, Gwen, and little Garrett; the work on the farm became much easier than it normally would be. Gwen grew up just like all her brothers being treated the same as any of the others… with ONE exception. The boys were EXTREMELY overprotective of her. It was never to the point of going overboard. (Except for when her first boyfriend dumped her. She had to grab the shotgun away from Gavin multiple times after that one.) But it did get in the way of her dream.
Growing up there was one more person in Gwen’s life that had a heavy impact. Her uncle Luka was a pokemon researcher who specialized in Human/Pokemon interactions. He studied the bonds between humans and pokemon and worked to find ways to make communication and understanding between them stronger. This research brought him all over the world. So, whenever he came to visit with all his stories, Gwen and her brothers were more than excited by it. She dreamed of one day travelling like her uncle, but her brothers were nervous about her going off on her own and none of them felt comfortable leaving the farm to the others.
It wasn’t until she was 18 that the boys finally let up and let her go, agreeing that at that point she was an adult and could make her own decisions. With Mary, her faithful Wooloo, in tow she made her way to Professor Magnolia Wedgehurst, received her new partner Alice, and was off on her journey. She decided to partake in the Gym challenge just for fun but ended up failing in Hammerlocke. She didn’t mind though. After a year of travelling through Galar she came home to announce she has decided to go overseas to continue her adventure. Her brothers were worried but came to see her off at the port regardless. Now she’s landed in Altair and can’t wait to see what new and exciting things are in store.
