Background: Alastair has always been a genius with technology. His parents were highly neglectful to the point of basically forgetting they even had a child. They gave him a room with a computer to keep him distracted and out of their hair, that was about it. Growing up he had access to food and a roof over his head, but not much beyond that and his technology.
With no friends or real family to disturb him, all of Alastair’s time was spent in his room on the internet. When he was 15 he created a machine/program that allowed him to project himself into the virtual world and take on the alias Emerald Star. He was once a notorious hacker that sold his services to the highest bidder to gain access to any information they could possibly desire and anyone in the known universe.
When he was 18 he met Logan Harbringer at an internet café. Logan was a prodigy in detective work. Over the course of 2 years Logan managed to both win Alastair’s heart and convince him to use his program for good. They solved many cases, using Alastair’s unlimited access to all digital information to track down criminals sometimes before they could even strike.
However, when Alastair was 20 years old Logan went missing under mysterious circumstances. Try as he might, Alastair found nothing anywhere to hint at where Logan may have gone or what happened to him. About a year later, his body was discovered floating in the middle of the ocean.
To this day, Alastair continues to work with the Buster City Police department to solve crimes as quickly as possible. However, he devotes all his free time to trying to solve the murder of his best friend and lover; desperate to bring justice to the one who stole the only thing he had worth living for. It’s gotten to the point where it’s taken over his life. He’s become basically a glorified NEET and often forgets to eat or sleep.

Description: Alastair is very pale and slightly under weight to the point where someone could just slightly see his rib cage if he had his shirt off. He’s average height, around 5”10, with jet black hair and dark green eyes. He’ll often be seen in a black hoodie, black skinny jeans, and black combat boots with green accents on various parts of the outfit.
Emerald Star also has jet black hair but his eyes are a glowing, neon green with black scleras. Rather than being just a pale skin tone, Star Face’s skin appears to be completely snow white. He’s size shifts depending on his location within the data. His outfit is comprised of a black gas mask, black hoodie, black boots, and black pants all outlined in neon green. His signature neon green star is visible on both sides of his hood.

Gun: A standard handgun. It once belonged to his boyfriend. He isn’t a very good shot, but he likes to use it as a threat to get himself out of unwanted situations.
