Homeland Description: The village looks like a traditional Japanese location, though more preserved and also well hidden through a protective mist that envelopes the outskirts of the village.

Monsters Living Here: Jorogumo, Tsuchigumo, Youko, Onimodoki

Monster History/Culture: For many centuries, the different yokai that live in Japan come and go from this place as a refuge for them to settle in safely from the rest of the populous. They are traditional in their practices within the realm of modern Japanese culture, though there are exceptions to this. They carry a sense of communion with one another, like a small-town sort of mind. Whatever happens in the village spreads quickly through mouths and ears, and all who live here treasure a peaceful way of dealing with problems. Though if anyone gets into danger, the residents won't hesitate to do everything in their power to protect their people.

"...What?! I can dress up, can't I?!"

Since she was a child, she had lived a well-developed life. She was taught the ways of the weaver like her ancestors within the boundaries of their home, trained in the ways of Japanese martial arts alongside her brother Charles, and had a few friends she hanged out with during her time in the human world. Her father would tell both of his children stories about his journeys outside the island country, from North America to the European highlands, having a lot of experience with developing different views on how the people lived.



When she grew up to be 15, she got a little more risky with her life out on the streets, going to clubs and hanging out with a gang of boys in the city, being careful as to not have her parents be informed of her nightlife. As a spider-girl, she knew how to seduce a man but also the means to brush him off should he not be that good of a seed. Although, with the rise of a few dishonorables in the town, everyone had to get prepared should something strange happen. Especially since something was now unsettling both of her parents this time since the announcement.

At first, she didn't mind it. She just went about with business as usual. Although, that was until she got into a 'friendship' with a young and charming rich man in Tokyo. He had a decent band of friends with him and things were going well, until one day she got a glimpse of what he really was, a man who cares only for his legacy and his freedom to do whatever he wants.

Julia discussed this sort of thing with her brother, noting a few details like how he had this wolf tattoo on his shoulder that seemed to rub her the wrong way. This set him off in a way, demanding that next time she goes to see this man, she take him with her.

And so she did, getting into their car and making their way to his bachelor pad. Right away, the man saw how much of a smug fool the boy was, getting the right idea as to what his real occupation was. Though, with all of these goons keeping track of the place, it wasn't like they were going to intervene on their work now. So, they decided to let her and the fool have some time alone while the brother worked on a plan. That was when the man started to make the moves on her, forcing his body on her before she just up and spat a blob of webbing in his face. While he was blind, she took a wine bottle and went to strike the back of his head with it before he got smart and shifted his body, her arm suddenly caught in a serpentine appendage that slammed against the wall.

Tearing off the webbing, he looked furious at her as he revealed himself to be a Lamia, a B-Class monster.

Getting somewhat frightened, she thought fast to figure out how she was going to get out of this, but then her brother barged in and proceeded to use his webbing to ensnare the creature. The beast let go of her arm and she proceeded to join in, them both using their training in martial arts and acrobatics to outmaneuver the serpentine creature. That was until the tail grabbed a hold onto Charles and pinned him down, taking the dropped bottle and breaking it, using the sharp glass to tear into his throat violently, right in front of Julia.

Okay, NOW she was pissed. Spreading out her spider legs and shifting into her full form, she proceeded to go full force on the man, using her webbing to hit his blind spot and wrapped around his neck. Before he knew it, she was dodging his tail left and right, making certain spots in the room hooked with strong webbing. She weaved them into a single point and, after restraining his tail and arms, did a Mortal Kombat stage fatality with her suddenly flinging herself at him, roundhouse kicking him out the window and causing the man to hang by the neck over the side of the building, slowly and painfully losing his life.



The brother wasn't too far off as she came back in to see him one last time, the man smiling at his little girl before taking out a card for her to keep, giving his last breath in her arms. It was there that she knew she had to leave, before the other goons could do anything to her. So she disappeared after the deed was done, leaving her brother behind and going back to her family. She broke down in front of her parents, telling them everything that happened. They both felt it was time for her to take some time away from the town and with a new stage in her life. The card Charles gave her introduced her to the Cryptid Ministry, the peacekeeping corps of Yokai Academy. This was the place she was now destined to go to after all this.

So, after a few more years of self-discovery, she decided that it's the right thing to work hard on making sure that the balance between humans and monsters was kept in line.

Before then, she didn't even think about how all this would effect the world, but now she knew better. A peaceful world was what her brother wanted, and she's going to help his wishes come true. After some time to get settles into the academy, she was taken under the wing of the Cryptid Ministry officially, working as their information-gathering spy on the streets. If they wanted some tips on what the Bloodhound Initiative was up to, she was their girl. Sure, she's going to have a bit of fun along the way, but that was one of the benefits of being at the academy by default. She'll be fine, for the most part.
