Freestyle Hand-to-Hand Combatant:
Ben is a crafty, intelligent fighter, having trained in hand-to-hand combat by black belt Gwen and Grandpa Max. Max himself has hinted that Ben is a highly-skilled fighter, even as a human. He is also quite agile and acrobatic as a human, and has a knack for turning weaknesses into strengths, which aids in his hand-to-hand proficiency.
Above-Average Intelligence:
It is evident that Ben is smart in some respects, possessing an above-average to high intelligence. Gwen even stated that he really is not working up to his potential at school. He also has surprisingly substantial grades, maintaining a B+ average in his toughest subjects Physics and Chemistry.
Enhanced Eidetic Memory:
Ben has an extraordinarily sharp memory, as he was perfectly capable of remembering and writing down things with just one glance from a distance. (especially if the subject interests him!)
Weapons/Items:
The Omnitrix
The Omnitrix is a portable library of intergalactic genetic data that allows the wielder to alter their DNA at will and transform into a variety of different alien species, each with their own unique abilities. It was found by Benjamin Tennyson, as it would latch itself onto his left wrist and remain stuck from that moment on. It allows Ben to select an alien species who's DNA is catalogued in the device, and by activating it, allows him to transform into said alien, and the transformation lasts for up to 10 minutes before having to enter a brief recharge state. The user is able to transform two or three additional times after already transforming, but this will severely drain the 10-minute period originally given. Ben currently has ten alien forms active within the Omnitrix, which include;
Diamondhead
Diamondhead is of a crystalline alien species known as Petrosapien, which gives Ben incredibly high resilience to damage and the ability to refract energy attacks with his reflective crystalline body-parts. It also gives him the ability to spawn weapons and objects made out of crystal from his own body, or other surfaces, as well as allowing him to break off parts of himself and launch them as projectiles, and regenerate parts of himself that breaks off. He can also elongate and alter the size and proportions of his external limbs to a degree. In this form, he is vulnerable to sonic weaponry and abilities, which can either shatter parts of his body, or render him unconscious.
Four-Arms
Four-Arms is a Tetramand alien, which hail from a gladiatorial culture of aliens on the planet Khoros. This is one of Ben's more straight-forward alien forms, as it gives him freakishly immense strength and endurance, to the point where he's able to leap entire blocks in a single bound, and is able to generate shockwaves with a big clap of his hands. However, his immense size and bulk is a double-edged sword, as it also makes him relatively slower than his other forms, and a bigger target.
Ghostfreak
An oddity even among the various alien forms Ben has at his disposal, 'Ghostfreak' is an Ectonurite, or more commonly referred to as a "space ghost". The Ectonurites possess a lot of powers one might expect from a spectral entity, such as the power of becoming intangible and/or invisible, being capable of flying, but he also possesses the power to possess other entities, induce unconsciousness, or even give someone a stroke by jabbing his hands into the body of another being. His one eye is movable along the lines on his body, and he is also able to spawn tentacles from within his body by removing his skin, which is then able to regenerate. But for whatever reason, Ben is VERY careful when utilizing this form, as he claims that it "feels like I'm gonna lose control if he's out for too long"...
Grey Matter
Grey Matter is a Galvan of Galvan Prime, and is one of Ben's smallest, but most resourceful forms when it comes to outthinking his opponents and disabling weapons/vehicles due to the Galvans' supreme technological knowledge and expertise in engineering and tinkering. This superior boost to intelligence is not limited to technology however, as it also allows Ben to just be smarter in general, and increase his already great innate intuition multiple times over. However, even if his small size allows him to crawl through small, tight passages and into machinery, it becomes a great disadvantage if he has to fend for himself out in the open.
Heatblast
Heatblast is a pyrokinetic alien known as a Pyronite from the planet Pyros. As the name implies, Heatblast is all about heat and fire, able to fling fireballs and launch beams of condensed flames at his opponents, and generate all manner of flame weaponry. He is also capable of absorbing heat and fire in his surroundings, raise his own temperature to insane degrees, and allow himself to fly via flame propulsion. However, his naturally hot and flaming body can cause a lot of collateral damage, as well as disabling him from holding anything even remotely flammable. And while he's capable of spawning near-infinite amounts of fire and heat, he can still be incapacitated if he is doused with enough flame-extinguishing substances, or encased completely in ice.
Ripjaws
The Piscciss Volann are a humanoid fish race of alien, which Ben mainly uses for situations where marine maneuverability or underwater combat is necessary, as Ripjaws excels at both of them. With his already enhanced swimming abilities and ability to breathe underwater, he can merge his legs together with the bottom piece of his 'armor' to create a fish-tail, giving him even more speed underwater. His extendable jaws is his main weapon in this form, capable of shredding through metal and tearing huge chunks off of anything he sinks his teeth into. However, he is extremely vulnerable to being dehydrated, and requires water or cool temperatures to keep himself stable if he's on land for too long.
Stinkfly
Stinkfly is Ben's main aerial form, being a Lepidopterran, an insectoid species of alien with wings capable of flying at incredibly high speeds. In addition to being able to fly and possessing sharp claws and stinger on his tail, his four eyestalks are very prehensile and flexible, allowing him to have a 360 degree field of view at all times. In addition, these eyestalks, as well as the back of his mouth, have special slime-generating glands that are able to shoot slime that is either highly flammable, or extremely adhesive. However, a Lepidopterran's odor is quite distinguishable, and thus makes it hard for Ben to hide in this form. Furthermore, if his wings are incapacitated, or made wet, he is incapable of flying, and he is also not a good swimmer.
Upgrade
Upgrade is a sentient nanite creature known as a Galvanite Mechamorph, which the Galvans made to possess and control mechanical components to lessen their own workload. As this implies, when Ben uses Upgrade, he is capable of 'possessing' and taking control of anything mechanical or cybernetic, implanting himself into the intended target and manually controlling its functions, even being able to enhance its functions to a degree. As he is a being composed of billions of tiny nanites, this also allows Upgrade to be very malleable, elastic and maneuverable, as he is able to stretch and bend really well (to a limit!), and is also able to 'liquify' himself into liquid metal to maneuver himself through tight spaces. Due to his nanite body, however, he is extremely vulnerable to electricity and EMP attacks.
Wildmutt
Wildmutt is a unique race of alien known as Vulpimancer, which is a species of feral, eye-less aliens who have an alternative way of 'seeing' things, via a set of gill-like extremities along his neck, which allows him to "sense" any infrared traces and patterns around him. All of his other senses are equally enhanced as well, and his claws and bite make him a ferocious opponent at the best of times. However, all of these enhanced senses can be overloaded, especially his hearing, leaving Wildmutt overstimulated and, if the sound is intense enough, can knock him unconscious.
XLR8
The Kineceleran race is all about speed and agility, and that is exactly what Ben is looking for when turning to XLR8. The wheels on XLR8's feet are able to run across almost any surface, generating enough friction to move just from his movement alone, and he is capable of moving up to 500 miles per hour within two seconds. His speed is not just limited to his movement either, as he is able to swiftly jab and kick with his arms and legs as well, and is also able to run in circles fast enough to generate vortexes of air or water. However, slippery or sticky surfaces can stop him in his tracks if he's on one before revving up his running cycle, and charged magnetic pulses can throw him off balance and lose his footing.

Physical Appearance:
Benjamin is a rather average 15-year old young man, standing on an average of 5'6 in height and weighing about 120 lbs even. He has short, well-kempt brown hair and green eyes.
Clothing and Armor:
As part of his everyday outfit, Benjamin wears a black shirt, blue jeans and a green jacket with white stripes on his left sleeve and the number 10 on the right, white socks, and black and white Converse-style shoes.
Personality
Sexual Orientation:
Heterosexual
General Personality:
Initially cocky, childish, and selfish, Ben's immaturity and attention-seeking behavior often led him to joke around, regardless of the situation. When he was 10 years old, he used the Omnitrix improperly in order to benefit himself instead of actually helping others. His allies often criticized his attitude, unaware of the fact that he used humor to mask his fears. Despite some childish attitude, he was heroic, caring and generally good-natured, always willing to save others at any time even at the risk of himself.
As he's grown up though, he has shown that he's begun to grow out of that childish behavior of his, even if some parts of it still remain. He is somewhat more responsible and sensible now, with a rather good code of morals to boot, with even Max and other relatives describing him as "always doing the right thing", even if the methods might not always be right or acceptable.
Deep down he still harbors his childhood fears, however; those being fears of not being able to save those he cares for, or people getting hurt because of him. He has once confessed to Max that he feels guilty for letting fame get to his head as a kid, and that he is honestly trying to be more mature for once. Despite this, some old vices of his childhood - such as being rather stubborn to do things his way - still haunt him to this day.

"You think I don't know? When it's hero time, if I mess up, somebody could die. From what you told me, if we mess up this time, everybody could die... Maybe that's too much to have in your head when you have to win. Maybe if I pretend everything is a big joke, when the time comes, I'll be able to do what I have to do."
History:
Benjamin Tennyson was born and raised just like any other child, having a rather uneventful, but positive and well-off childhood. At a very young age, he began to show incredible interest in the interstellar and unknown, being a huge fan of anything space and alien-themed, something that his parents jokingly blamed his Grandpa Max for, knowing what kind of background he came from. But Max would always shrug things off and say that if the day came where Ben would get involved in any of his past affairs, he'd be there to fully take responsibility for the consequences it'd lead to. And so it was, that when Ben, Grandpa Max, and his cousin Gwen went on a camping trip one day, that responsibility would kick in.
As they were prepping up their campsite for the evening, a brilliant green streak shot across the evening sky before seemingly entering atmosphere and crashing down to Earth, only a few miles away from their camping site. Ben, being a ten-year-old at the time, and quite unruly and inquisitive, naturally went to investigate what had happened, and discovered a capsule that had crashed into the ground. Upon approaching it, it'd open up automatically, revealing an odd piece of alien technology within. When trying to reach for it to inspect it, the device almost came 'alive' and latched onto Ben's left wrist, and was impossible to remove once fully connected. After getting yelled at by Gwen for going against Max's wishes, and later leaving to snitch on Ben, he decided to have fun with the new device, and accidentally triggered his first ever transformation, turning into the alien he'd later come to name as 'Heatblast', and almost burned down the forest around him.
He was able to put out the fire, but was still heavily scolded by Grandpa Max after the fact for not being more careful with his newly-acquired alien device. But even after that, Ben kept on using the device and messing about with the various alien forms that came with it. It started off with using it for mere selfish and childish reasons, but eventually, he began to see another use for his new device; he could use it to be a superhero! And so, dubbing himself as "Ben 10", he would go on to use his device, the "Omnitrix", to perform day-to-day heroics and acts of vigilantism alike. Especially after he would begin to have many malicious, and power-hungry eyes set upon him and the Omnitrix. Realizing that Bellwood would no longer be safe from threats if Ben kept living there, and due to Ben not wishing his family to get caught up in his troubles, the decision was made that he, Grandpa Max, and Gwen would move out of state, and live elsewhere.
They'd manage to drive all the way over to New York City, where they settled down for the time being, with Ben and Gwen being applied to a local high school, and Grandpa Max setting up his own freelance mechanic business. But Ben's taste for his childhood heroics had not left him yet, and so whenever he felt the time and place called for it, he'd once more wield the Omnitrix's powers in the name of justice. One day, he'd run into an engagement with some gang goons that quickly turned south due to underestimating his opponents, but he was soon joined by another hero calling himself "Invincible", and together they'd mop the floor with the crime gang. Invincible stated that he was mighty impressed with Ben's powers, and invited him to a group of young superheroes known as the Champions. Naturally, Ben's immediate, spontaneous response was 'yes', and while he was of course given a stern talking to later by Grandpa Max, he stated that regardless, he was happy to hear that Ben wished to lend his talents to a heroic group. And so he would start a new, heroic life, once more donning the title of "Ben 10".

Role Play Sample:
He had spent all day doing his damnedest to prep himself for what was going to be his biggest 'first day' in his life. Even bigger than his first day at school! To think that the big cities had groups of heroes like this, where they were about his age. Nothing like this would exist in his little town of Bellwood, that's for sure. But how was he going to present himself for this super-special group? Maybe he'd just play it cool and chill... no, not his style! But his usual style was maybe... a bit much? It honestly frustrated him a bit.
"Ugh, c'mon Ben! Really, you gonna flop this hard at your first day as an OFFICIAL hero?! You're better than this!"
He was really overthinking it, probably. Grandpa Max had always taught him... just be yourself. So maybe that wouldn't be so difficult? But, then again... he did kind of want to make an entrance with flair. So, grinning to himself, he'd lift his left arm up, Omnitrix flashing alive as he'd begin to dial in the right alien for the occasion. But which one to choose... Bingo! Upon lighting up the option for XLR8, he'd slam the button down, and in a flash of green, gone was the 15-year old boy, as he was replaced with a sleek, armored, raptor-like creature, who'd smirk a bit just as a visor closed up over his face.
"These guys better be ready for a speedy introduction!"
And with that, the wheels upon his feet would rev up, screeching upon the asphalt beneath him before he'd take off as a blue-and-black blur that'd zip and dash through the city, right towards the location he'd been given. It was Hero Time!
