(Just porting this profile over here in the unlikely case it might come in handy someday.)
Name: Enzo Cagliari
Age: 22 (b. August 2nd, UC 0065)
Gender: dude
Birthplace: Lugano, Europe, Earth Federation
Faction: Titans
Rank: Master Chief Petty Officer
Appearance: Enzo Cagliari stands 180cm (~5’11”) with an athletic build. He has a fair-skinned complexion, sharp brown eyes, and straight, light brown hair that he usually keeps short and slightly unkempt (though he styles it neatly when the occasion calls for it). His mouth sometimes comes to a smirk without his noticing it. He carries himself in a confident, often cocky, manner. His voice varies from high baritone to low tenor.
tl;dr: I’m imagining him as looking much like MSV’s Robert Gilliam, but with lighter skin and brown hair/eyes.
Personality: Enzo is an outwardly confident young man who walks and talks with a certain aggressive swagger. He has no pity for anyone who shows weakness or hesitation and believes in a might-makes-right worldview, and that there is a natural order to the world that everyone must accept or be removed. He is ultimately more of a follower than a leader, however, and tends to join the cliques that form around strong, charismatic types.
Enzo can be a little hot-headed and likes to instigate conflict with people outside his in-group. He harshly looks down on anybody he sees as The Other, which includes, but is not limited to: non-Titans, those without a privileged upbringing, spacenoids, Lunarians, and anybody not in whichever clique he's attached himself to.
Enzo believes that space colonists have no right to demand anything from the Earth, and they should count themselves lucky to even still exist after the horrors wrought during the OYW. To him, spacenoids as a whole are bottom-feeders who need constant correction to know their place. He's not convinced democracy is of much good and thinks the Earth Federation would benefit from a military government. He thinks rules, regulations, and laws are for other people - an idea that has certainly been reinforced during his time with the Titans.
He has proven to be an effective mobile suit combat pilot, especially at close range (although he's no slouch at mid-range), and he can usually keep his hot-headed impatience in check on the battlefield.
History: Enzo Cagliari was born to an upper middle-class family in Europe, where he attended good private schools. He often gravitated toward the rich-kid cliques who bullied and ostracized lower-class and weaker students. By his early teens, Enzo had firmly come to believe in a might-makes-right worldview, where the strong have the right to prey on the weak, and the latter have only themselves to blame. He had already developed a tendency to gravitate toward following strong, violent leaders.
Enzo was still in high school when the war broke out. Although his hometown of Lugano never became an active battlefield, it was occupied by Zeonic forces and endured martial law and late-war food shortages. He resented Zeon for the war's outbreak. The experience awakened in him a prejudice against spacenoids that had always been latent in his mind, even if he had never been explicitly taught to look down on colonists.
The experience of the One Year War also hardened Enzo's view that one had to be strong and uncompromising to be of any value as a person. He resolved to join the EFSF and was accepted into officer's school right after he completed his secondary education.
The Delaz Conflict broke out while Enzo was in training and the Titans were formed shortly before he graduated. He was thrilled when he was approached to join the new branch of elite pilots, even though he'd only finished 11th in his class (he of course didn't realize that the Titans preferred certain personality types as much as, if not more than, actual ability).
Enzo's excitement at joining the Titans in early UC 0085 was dampened only slightly when he was relegated to a garrison position at Konpeitoh. He spent two years without seeing any direct combat action. The rise of AEUG and their growing resistance against the Titans, however, changed that.
Enzo was assigned to the task foce that intercepted AEUG forces over Jaburo in May 0087. He was among the Titan MS that dropped down to the surface to continue the fight on land, but he ultimately had to abandon his heavily-damaged Hizack after putting up a hard fight. He was able to get on an escaping shuttle in time to avoid the nuclear detonation.
When Enzo returned to space, he was promoted to MCPO and assigned to the 4th Autonomous Mobile Corps "Helios Corps".
Enzo has an older brother by two years, Matteo Cagliari, who was recently accepted as an MS pilot for the Titans' Earthside forces. Enzo likes to rib him for being accepted into the Titans after his younger brother.
