Piotr quickly took note of Jason's discomfort. He patted the boy's shoulder, this time gentler. "I know it may not be what you were hoping for. But, we are social animals. For what is worth, you are not alone in doubting. Your roommate is also nervous boy."
Piotr quickly showed dismay, though most of it was at his own oversight. He bumped a hand against his forehead, making a loud ringing noise. How could he have been so careless?! Piotr stopped in the hallway for a moment to flex... heroically? It looked rehearsed. "I am Colossus! Man of Steel! No copyright. Ha ha." He beamed at Jason, hands balled into fists on his hips.
"Many mutants take new name for themselves. Like superhero! Or secret identity. You can have one too, if you want!" Already, Piotr's mind was racing. He could be... Night Wing! Or, uhh, Man-Bat? Hmm... names were harder than Piotr remembered.

"Oh I don't think I was hoping for anything at all, really", Jason clarified, his expectations for his room were, largely, "I can sleep in it". Having a roommate is as exciting as it is worrying, it meant he could have someone he could chat about all kinds of things, but it also meant that he REALLY would have to put his nocturnal habits in order. Piotr's clarification on this person being skittish firmly leaned Jason towards the latter camp, prompting a sharp hiss that sounded like more like whistle, followed by a rather defeated "OK".
Jason flinched and stammered to the side as he heard something clang, did Mr. Piotr hit his head on something? More importantly, what could he hit his head with that would not break instantly? Him suddenly busting into what appeared to be some sort of strongman photoshoot stance only seemed to support this theory. "ah-", Jason straightened up and trembled for a moment, every visible scale around his neck frilling up as he leaned back in both excitement and indecision, "Ooooohhhhh", his voice's tone dropped off a staircase all of the sudden, a grave laughter beckoned from his throat as he rubbed his wings together. He surely did not have the expectation to be able to just be the cheesy horror flick movie monster he liked to pretend to be even before that fateful night, but he sure had the dramatic laughter down to a science. However, despite his posturing and appearance, Jason was still decidedly just a teenager cheerfully giggling to himself.
"I Will think about it!", he said, the "some more" was somewhat implicit at this point.

Piotr grinned at Jason, going so far as to give him a thumbs up that was rehearsed. The man did not have teeth so much as he had liquid metal pooling behind his lips. Not even Piotr tried to think about how that worked. More to the point, he did not think that there was anything awkward about this. "Yes! That is the spirit. You have plenty of time to think of a good answer. You will want to make it count!"
The remainder of the jaunt to the dorm room was uneventful. In contrast to the door to Piotr's office, this door, while it appeared to be reinforced, looked much more like an ordinary school door that one would expect here. Piotr stepped forward, knocked once-
"I-I'm here!"
The voice was immediate, and startled. Piotr withdrew his arm. "Very good! Your new friend is here!"
Before either of the boys had a chance to protest or approve of this, Piotr swung the door open. He stepped to the side, allowing for Jason to go past him and enter the bedroom first. It had most things that one would find in a boarding school dormitory. Tightly positioned cots. Secondhand work desks. One walk-in closet. And for Jason’s side, several wall hangings that looked like they would be friendly to him hanging off of them, for rest or leisure. He also had his own bed, which appeared to have modifications apart from his roommate’s ordinary bed that would accommodate someone of Jason’s size and form.
Among these sights was that roommate, backed up against the wall his cot was wedged into. He was a lanky boy, with his arms wrapped in front of his legs that were bunched up against him similar to a turtle shell. Gripped tightly in his hands was a pristine copy of a Mistborn novel. He peeked out at Piotr and Jason. This seemed to demand most of his courage, as he didn’t say anything else just yet.

Heh heh, making it count.
Jason was obedient, but impatient, this meant that he calmly kept pace with Piotr (which was fortunately bigger than average), but he kept peeping into his surroundings with his ears. Sometimes what was most interesting was what he couldn't hear, some of these rooms were too airtight, some of them had very different shapes to what one would expect, and of course, sometimes there was a very unusual noise coming out of them. Hardly any time to eavesdrop at this pace, but its hard to be discreet about this habit when one's idle whistling suddenly pitches to inaudibility.
His room was next, and it was helpful that his roommate called out that he was there, because he was hard to find squeezed into a corner, for, uh, some reason. Jason wondered if there was something unusual about his roomie that merited this sort of wariness, and took a single step into the room to lock eyes with him as first order of business. He couldn't really find anything, no matter how many times he tilted his head or twitched his ears, but in one of those movements, his periphery caught a glimpse of something delightful: Deliberately exposed piping.
"Oh!", Jason stomped his way towards the wall and quickly scaled the wall like he knew his way around, wedging his feet on the topmost rung. He let his body fall before staring outwards into space with some sort of newfound clarity, feeling sores and cramps slowly fade away as his body limbered up and stretched in ways that wouldn't be possible under the tyranny of gravity, therapy that would soothe years of poor, complacent posture. Jason's completely inauble, yet visible babbling resumed as his wings folded and seemed to find comfort, at this point, he didn't even seem interested in what he so far intuited to be a perfectly normal roommate that was seemingly pre-scared of even a perfectly normal roommate. Perhaps it was for the best for both of them.

Michael was sure that his new roommate was friendly. Mister Rasputin had said so when he had warned(?!) him that they would be moving in today. Seeing him come in like that, making those sounds... it was hard for Michael to make that connection, at least at first. He winced, quickly making himself as small as possible by scurrying back into the corner of his cot opposite Jason's side of the room. He held his book up to his face, like it was a shield from whatever was going to happen next.
Piotr, still standing in the doorway, beamed at the both of them. This was going great! Aaah!~ I will leave you two to become acquainted! I will see you at gym tomorrow!" With one final slam out, the metal mutant made his exit. Michael winced, again, as he watched the door. Were they meant to take that kind of punishment?
Slowly, his attention drifted back to Jason and his... noises. Michael lowered his book, closing it without a bookmark and depositing it on his bedside table. "Uhh... hi there. I-I'm Michael. What's your, uhh..."

"See you mister!-" *INAUDIBLE TREMBLING YAWN* "Colossus!"
Jason waved away, also mildly shocked that the door just took the punishment, at the very least that would mean he wouldn't have to be as careful with it if he's hurrying somewhere. Oh right, his roommate, he was still there, and he mustered the courage to look at him. "Hi! I'm Jason Villasmil. You can call me ""Screech! Terror of the Night and eviiii"iii-", the bat spread his wings for dramatic flair, but quickly folded them back as his voice trailed to a yawn again and his feet adjusted his grip around. "I'm sorry I haven't slept well in...I...don't want to think about it", he sounded quite somber for a spell, having to confront the linear passage of time once more in his day to day activities. "But I would sure love to talk about things Michael! Maybe that'll make me less sleepy", he offered, quite selfishly.

Michael firmly shut his eyes and cupped his ears with his hands. Screech? That was... certainly apt. He was going to need to get earplugs. Mister Colossus had mentioned that his roommate would be arriving any day now, but now that he was here, Michael wasn't sure what to expect. He never thought anyone could be this loud... and it didn't seem like Jason was even trying. "Uhh... sure. Um, what do you like to do? I read, mostly."

"Ah sorry am I being too loud? Well I did try to be loud for a moment there but I mean, like, in general", Jason gave a raspy apology. "You're, well, maybe the 8th person I've talked to in...some time, so let me know okay? I don't want to be a bother to you t-yeah", he explained, his voice sounding more distant, not, like, despondent, but like it came from further away, maybe it would help not bother his friend a whole lot. Jason jittered as he was asked a question, a genuine question! From someone that didn't knew the answer! "Oh I loved reading! Dad gave me a ton of jitters-filled books, hardcover and comics. Thinking of all the creepy things that can be in the dark, somehow it made me sleep better. My friends at school thought it was weird". He chortled to himself for a bit. "Then as I grew up and, well I...loved the books to death?", he gave and even more baretooth smile, the scales on his wings shivering for a moment. Welp, it's not gonna be easy to lend Jason reading material.
"So it's a lot of TV now. Dad says I'm old enough to watch the things aired at 4 AM"
