Powers/Abilities:
Black-and-White Symbiotic Costume
The alien costume, which has grafted itself to the nervous system of Eddie Brock, somehow absorbed the powers of Spider-Man during its brief symbiotic relationship with him, seemingly due to the lasting impression that Spider-Man had on its psyche due to being rejected by him. These powers have been transferred to Brock, so long as he wears the costume, and combined with Eddie's natural bulk makes Venom physically stronger than Spider-Man. The symbiote grants Eddie the following powers:
Superhuman Qualities
The Symbiote gifts Eddie with a lot of superhuman qualities and perks, such as being inhumanely strong and durable, having superhuman senses, and also being extremely agile, perceptive and having a lot of stamina.
Regenerative Healing Factor
The Symbiote is bound to Eddie on a deep cellular level, meaning it can influence Eddie's body in a lot of ways, such as the speed and efficiency of healing superficial wounds and injuries.
Webbing Generation
Since the Symbiote was first bound to Peter Parker as his alter ego Spider-Man, it has copied Spider-Man's ability to generate webbing from Eddie's wrists, the webbing itself being made out of the Symbiote itself, making it extremely tough and durable.
Wall-Crawling
The suit is able to generate adhesive surfaces upon Eddie's fingers, hands and feet, allowing Eddie to crawl along and scale up on walls with extreme efficiency.
Offspring Detection
The symbiote is also capable of psychically detecting its offspring; however, with effort, this ability can be blocked.
Genetic Memory
The symbiote possesses some limited psychic ability, making it capable of obtaining information from its hosts and even other people and symbiotes simply by touch. It can, however, be forced to forget information if the symbiote is inflicted with heavy trauma.
Spider-Sense Immunity
Due to Spider-Man being a host to the symbiote, Brock is able to bypass Spider-Man's spider-sense. As such, Brock is capable of attacking Spider-Man without alerting him, making him a deadly opponent.
Constituent-Matter Manipulation
Venom can manipulate his matter to enlarge or stretch his body in order to augment his attacks, such as enlarging his fists. He can morph sections of his body, such as his hands or feet, into spikes, blades, axes or a shield.
Constituent-Matter Generation
Venom can also use the same substance comprising the symbiote in the form of constituent black matter or he can generate tentacle-like appendages from various parts of his body, which he often uses either in combat situations or to restrain someone.
Elasticity
Although it is wide known that the Symbiote can stretch and deform itself, recently it was able to perform this ability while being bonded with a human host.
Invisibility
The symbiote is capable of mimicking the appearance of any form of clothing, camouflaging with its surroundings, and even mimicking other people.
Night Vision
Venom can see in the dark.
Spider-Man Detection
Almost like a 'reverse' Spider-Sense, the Symbiote is capable of detecting Spider-Man's presence at nearly all times.
Venomous Fangs
An ability developed by Brock when he bonded with the symbiote. Venom's fangs not only intimidate foes but deliver a powerful, toxic bite.

Weaknesses:
Sonic and Heat
The Venom symbiote, like all others of its kind, is extremely vulnerable to heat and sonic based attacks. They can cause the symbiote physical pain and discomfort, whereas "more powerful" attacks might be completely ineffective.
Mental Instability
Eddie has become addicted to the power bestowed upon him by being bonded to a symbiote, which has caused drastic shifts in his personality. He is more than likely to give in to the Symbiote's more murderous urges, and will kill and destroy just for the fun of it.

Eddie does not have a lot of weapons of any kind on his person a lot, since the Symbiote is more than capable of generating weapons by morphing itself into whatever Eddie needs.
Appearance

Physical Appearance:
Eddie is a rather large and well-trained person standing at a total of 6'3 in height and weighing a total of 260 lbs. He has dirt brown hair that's cut rather short, and blue eyes.
Clothing and Armor:
When not wearing his symbiote costume, Eddie usually dresses in whatever he can get his hands on. He usually defaults to a simple wife-beater underneath a leather jacket, jean pants, and any type of sneaker shoes.
Personality
Sexual Orientation:
Heterosexual
General Personality:
By his own admission, Eddie was never a particularly functional or mentally adjusted man, though he frequently made efforts to better himself. Obsessed with and desperate for success, as a child and into his adulthood he stole and lied in order to get the acknowledgement he desperately craved and further his career. His self-loathing and obsession with protecting the innocent stem from a traumatic incident where he accidentally killed a young child as a teenager, which his father went to extreme lengths to cover up - including brutally beating him when he announced his intent to plead guilty. Despite excelling academically and becoming a successful journalist, Eddie was never able to impress his father.
Eddie possesses a great deal of intense rage, owing to the various traumatic and humiliating experiences he has endured over the course of his life. After the Sin Eater incident and bonding with the symbiote, Eddie focused this rage on Spider-Man and was initially obsessed with revenge against him at all cost. Early into his career as Venom he was little better than the criminals he would go on to take down, venting his rage on those unfortunate enough to cross his path. But after a particularly nasty fight with the titular Spider-Man, he was inspired to use his powers for good.
His love-hate relationship with the Venom symbiote is particularly convoluted. Eddie initially refused to believe that the symbiote could have a negative influence over him, telling Anne Weying that it could not make anyone do anything they didn't already subconsciously want to. However, the symbiote's growing bloodlust began to unnerve him, and as its appetite for flesh grew, Eddie came to fear and despise it, considering it a demon that God had sent to punish him for contemplating suicide. Even before divesting himself of the Venom symbiote, Eddie blamed it for the violent criminal actions he had committed, and even now after reuniting with it, he does still blame it to a degree, despite his opportunity of self-reflection upon his deeds.

History:
Origins
Due to his mother dying in child-birth, Eddie Brock did not have the most charitable childhood, growing up under the heel of his abusive, alcoholic father Carl, who would constantly belittle his achievements, if not outright ignore them, and punish him when he did not do things his way. Such as one time when Eddie, in an act of teenage rebellion, stole his dad's car to get drunk with his friends, but on the way home ended up killing the neighbor's son, and he decided to plead guilty in court, which caused Carl to lash out on his son and demand him to plead innocent. The case was dropped, but Carl was financially ruined, further increasing the resentment of his son. Later on, Eddie managed to fabricate an internship to gain entrance to ESU's journalism program, switching his major in college to journalism and not only manage to romance law student Anne Weying, but also managing to marry her after moving into the big city, and getting a job at the Daily Globe. But all of these achievements still mattered little to his father.
Downward Spiral & Becoming Venom
His career at the Daily Globe was starting to take off, even if the fact that he had fabricated his presumed internship managed to slip out of the cracks ever so often, and he became a hard-working journalist that got the respect of his colleagues and even some higher-ups, and his wife Anne was as proud as one can be. However, his big break came when he intercepted a letter to the Globe that supposedly came from an infamous serial killer known as the 'Sin Eater', identifying himself as Emil Gregg. Eddie managed to secure himself an interview with Emil, which lead to several more, managing to protect his identity under the First Amendment, until confidentiality had to be broken due to police involvement, and his editor forcing him to write an exclusive article/exposé of the Sin Eater.
But it was then revealed, thanks to the involvement of Spider-Man, that the Sin Eater was in fact not Emil Gregg, but his neighbor, Detective Stan Carter. Emil had merely a delusional neighbor of Carter, and as the case was blown wide open, so was Eddie's cover of not having done substantial research and looking into the matter deeper. His fabricated review was also exposed, and he was made a laughing stock among his department, before ultimately being fired from the Daily Globe, and forced to write venomous drivel for a tabloid. He refused to take responsibility for his inaccuracies, blaming it all on his editor, and eventually Spider-Man exclusively for 'ruining' his career. Anne was disgusted by his inability to owe up to his mistakes, and divorced him. Not too long after, his father found out about the news, and completely disowned his own son, leaving him permanently alone and miserable, sinking into a life of denial, drugs, and delinquent articles for the tabloid he wrote for.
And all along, he blamed nobody but Spider-Man for ruining his life.
One day, he went to his local church, Our Lady of Saints Church, praying for forgiveness for his sinful behavior, as he was planning to commit suicide that same evening. However, in that same church, he'd have a faithful conversion for the worse as amidst the pews and candles, the black symbiote that had previously been Peter Parker's black Spider-Man suit skulked and snuck closer to Eddie, feeling his intense hatred for Spider-Man and feeding off of it, drawn in by the mutual hatred they both possessed. It possessed Eddie, entirely bonding with him - physically and mentally - and revealing for Eddie that Spider-Man's identity was Peter Parker. As the two came to an agreement to aid each other through their hatred for the web-slinger, Eddie gave the symbiote a proper name, inspired by his reduced life-style of writing toxic drivel for tabloids; their name would be Venom.
Life as Venom
As Eddie's new life as Venom truly began, he initially found it a bit difficult and, at times, conflicting to be part of Venom's mindset and disdain that it held, not just for Spider-Man, but for humanity in-general. He had initially tried to fight against Venom's intrusions, trying to keep civil casualties to a minimum, but Venom would sense Eddie's mental vulnerabilities and exploit them to the fullest, fueling him and his desire for revenge by constantly reminding him of his failures, his wife's divorce, his father's disowning of him... everything and anything that Venom could use to his advantage, he bombarded Eddie's mind with, until he had fully subjugated Eddie to being full of nothing but spite and hatred.
This lead Eddie to the life of villainy, where he'd mercilessly beat up and outright kill anything and anyone that stood in their way, without feeling pity or guilt. But soon enough, they began to aim their mutual hatred at Peter Parker exclusively, going so far as to repeatedly ambushing him out on the streets, whether as Peter Parker or his alter ego of Spider-Man, and even getting to him on a personal level by ambushing Mary Jane Watson, Peter's current girlfriend, at Peter's own apartment, permanently traumatizing MJ in the process. It had all been an elaborate game of Cat and Mouse for Venom, tormenting and terrorizing Peter and his close ones, until one big confrontation settled it between them, where Peter was able to utilize Venom's weakness against sonic weaponry, as well as desperately trying to plead with Eddie himself to relinquish the symbiote from his being. Eddie refused, seeing no other way to live than with Venom, and so Spider-Man, truly at a loss for choices, would leave him defeated.
But as Eddie laid weak and beaten after that one fight, he was encountered by one of Peter's other enemies, who had not too long ago managed to escape imprisonment; Doctor Otto Octavius, now known as 'Doc Ock', or Doctor Octopus. He was intrigued by Peter's new nemesis, and had made distant analyses on the symbiote itself, going so far back as to when Peter fought him in his Black Suit. He concluded that the symbiote could be a weapon to use against Peter, and tried to coerce Venom to leave Eddie and fight with him instead. He had nearly managed to remove and safely contain the symbiote, but an intervention of the personal soldiers of Stryker's Penitentiary arriving on the scene interrupted the process, causing both Otto and Eddie to be captured and detained within Stryker's.
Maximum Carnage
Life within Stryker's was harsh even for someone like Eddie, who had now become a pinnacle figure of physicality and mental hardship, and he had moments where he wished none of it had happened. But he was determined to see it through, and served his sentence month by month. Near the 6-month mark, a new inmate was introduced to his cell rotation; A man known as Cletus Kasady. A serial killer and psychopath that had 'accidentally' been transferred to Stryker's due to his intense and bloody list of crimes, with Stryker personnel deeming him too dangerous to be contained in public jail. Cletus and Eddie quickly became enemies within their cell, not particularly liking each other in the slightest, both being the opposite of the other.
Near the 10-year mark of Eddie's sentence, it all came to a climax in their cell as Cletus had a particularly violent episode, eventually culminating in Eddie almost getting shanked by an improvised knife wielded by Cletus. However, the symbiote that had been removed from Eddie, now stored in Stryker's laboratories, was triggered by the danger Eddie was in, and broke free from containment, and came to Eddie's rescue, re-fusing with Eddie and allowing him the strength to break out of jail. However, as he left, a small portion of Venom was left behind, and it would fuse with Cletus, merging into his very blood-stream to create a homicidal, insane monster known as 'Carnage'.
Initially, Venom and Eddie were all focused on getting back at Spider-Man again, going back to their roots, but eventually they realized that Peter had his hands full with the recently-emerged Carnage, and the death and destruction it was causing. In a sudden flash of seeming responsibility, Venom declared that Carnage was an out-of-control portion of himself, and it was not going to allow Carnage to run amok anymore. So, in an unlikely turn of events, Eddie and Venom would find themselves on Spider-Man's side, and together they would fight Carnage in a brutal, bitter fight that was almost endless, but eventually, the two of them managed to seemingly defeat it, but it was sent retreating out of their reach.

Ever since their first, unintentional team-up with Spider-Man to fight Carnage, Venom and Eddie have begun to try and co-exist with one another, but due to Eddie's mental trauma and the Symbiote's penchant for taking advantage of it, it is a tenuous relationship at best. His alliance with the Spider-Man is also very tenuous, and they still fight one another on occasion, when the Symbiote sparks up Eddie's rage from time and again, but Peter Parker always manages to tame Eddie back into control somehow. So while Eddie, and Venom to some extent, still aren't entirely 'good' persons, they are still not nearly as bad as they used to be.
Role Play Sample:
"No, I'm telling you... for the last time, we can't keep doing shit like this!"
An anguished groan came from Eddie as he was walking around his ruined apartment, a foreclosed space that nobody was going to bother looking into, or much less rent out ever again. A perfect hidey-hole for him and his... passenger. Speaking of whom-
"And why -not-, Eddie? WE always knew what was right in this sick world! WE were the cure for it's-"
"NO! You listen to me, and you listen well, you sick space-parasite! Yeah, I'll admit it; Pete's been the main cause for our anger and rage, and for good reason! He made me look like an absolute clown in front of the media presses, and he rejected you and hurt you. But others shouldn't have to pay for his sins!"
"And why NOT?! THEY are just as bad, if not worse! YOU said it yourself, -Eddie-... 'the scum of the city's underbelly are far past redemption'. Those were YOUR words! Not MINE! Not OURS! YOU are just as bad as I am... I. AM. YOU!"
A disgruntled growl builds in Eddie's throat, before a coughing fit erupts from it mere moments later, as Eddie leans onto a broken sink nearby, feeling his body heave with soreness. This thing... it had truly taken a toll on him lately, with all the things he had been put through. And yet... the strength it gave him... the powers to fight those he deemed as evil... he couldn't just throw it away. The Symbiote seemed to sense his train of thought, as it'd erupt with chuckles.
"HEH-HEH-HEH... see, Eddie? WE are made for each-other. YOU know YOU need ME... and I need YOU."
"... Fine. You're right. But from now on... at least I'LL be the one who decides if we kill or not. One more pile of bodyparts like that, and the Spider will be on us again."
"Which is what WE want. It's what YOU want. Don't deny it... it's all just a big set-up. A bait for the spider to come into OUR web. HE has to pay for what HE did to US..."
The blaring of police sirens outside caused them to stop bickering for a bit, as Eddie pokes his head out to see a couple of cruisers rushing past on the streets below, chasing a car ahead of them as gunshots were heard, and they'd round a corner and disappear. Eddie sighs, feeling that voice in the back of his head grow silent for once. Seems like for now, they were in agreement on one thing at least.
"Well, just try and let me be in charge for now... but something tells me, WE will have no choice in this fight."
And so, with a silent *THWIP*, a black streak of web shoots out of Venom's wrist, and he launches out of the window and swings into the night, ready to deal with the thugs. Hopefully not to kill them...
