Name: Alexandra MacKenzie
Identity: Road Rage
Gender: Intersex (Female passing)
Age: 24
Date of Birth: June 14th
Place of Origin: Southwestern USA
Occupation: Villain, Mechanic, Personal Trainer, Thunderpunk (Instrumental)
Faction: Team Confidence
Appearance
Visual Appearance:
Physical Appearance: Alex is a dark skinned woman of mixed descent, standing at a little over 6 feet tall. As she prefers to operate in her 3rd Gear, Alex's muscles are 40% larger than her 1st (Idle) gear. She has a feminine figure regardless of how large her muscles seem to get, having wideset hips, shapely buttocks and a decently sized chest. She has brown hair with blonde patch styled in a quiff. Her eyes are a purplish blue, sometimes looking more blue or violet depending on the lighting. From out of her back she has two exhaust pipes that look like they belong on a old muscle car, she also has a slight bulge on her sternum where the top of her engine casing is. She has another two exhausts below her other two, but they are retracted in a sheath of skin and only come out after she pushes her engine to its 4th gear.
Civilian Clothes: Alex is typically laid back, but often finds herself wearing athletic wear due to its ability to stretch. She mostly wears graphic t-shirts, often with whatever on it long faded.
She also has watertight plugs for her exhausts for swimming, these only allow excess vapor pressure in her exhaust to occasionally and safely push out through seals into the water, she can easily pop these out by holding air in her lungs and revving her engine. However these are only designed for casual use in shallow water, pools, etc.
Villain Outfit: Made of titanium and kevlar mesh, the underlying layer of Alex's suit is mostly in the shape of a sleeveless black unitard with cutouts in the back for exhaust, designed to not tear when she gets larger. She also armor protecting her torso, knees and elbows, plates of metal with padding underneath to absorb impact. Alex has retractable reinforced rollerblades built into the bottoms of her combat boots, allowing her to blade around in combat at high speed or to chase someone. On her face are aviator like goggles, on her head is a modified combat helmet with two devil horns on the sides. She also has a dust mask shaped like a skeletal mouth, if used in conjunction with the goggles and helmet it would obscure her entire face.
Personality
Bad Habits: Alex will headbutt someone being a pretentious ass. She likes to flirt with cute girls, especially those with a few screws loose. She won't hesitate to break someone's legs or arms if they won't stay down.
Goal: While open about what she wants to her girlfriend Chloe, Alex wants a harem of murderous cuties.
General Personality: Alex while having an approachable and laid back personality is no slouch as is tough as nails. She loves nothing more than seeing someone picking on the weak, then leveling the playing field by humiliating them in front of their victim. Despite her tough hide and seemingly patient demeanor, she gets really pissed off when people bully mutants, herself included. While she is perfectly okay straight up killing someone that is an enemy, she prefers to maim or beat a lesson into them. Alex loves tough attractive women, especially feisty ones who bump heads with her. She doesn't like having people know that she is actually a fair bit smaller that what she looks like in her 3rd Gear, always trying to show off her strength to hide how weak she looks in her 2nd gear, only letting Chloe see her 1st gear in private.
Personal Life
Mother: Motorhead (Deceased), Quirk: Bodyshop - Motorhead had the ability to alter/fuse living beings with functional mechanical parts, sometimes even replacing limbs so long as they did not mentally resist the surgery. She could even attach "hero tools" and experimental tech.
Father: Octane (Deceased), Quirk: Alchemic Anatomy - Having a number of unknown organs inside his body that processed and contained chemicals, Octane was capable of ingesting almost any chemical or component in order to produce compounds that would otherwise be dangerous to others. Later in his career he even produced drugs that could enhance the body with few side effects or even give a temporary boost to someone's quirk without killing them. Octane took both formulas to his grave with a highly explosive compound that he had been experimenting on.
Siblings: None
Extended family:
Chloe Richter (aka Dynamo) - Girlfriend/Baby Momma
Ryan Richter - Child
History: 30 years ago, a new criminal syndicate was pushing into the American Southwest. While they had money and resources, getting solid footing was difficult. A young and upcoming Lieutenant in the organization suggested hiring outside help. Among those recruited for their reputations and unique quirks was the body modifying surgeon Motorhead and the chemist Octane, both hired to act as support staff for various operations. They knew each other in passing, sometimes being assigned to the same projects or leading one with the other being their immediate subordinate. After about 5 years of simply being co-workers, the syndicate was hit hard by a team of heroes, forcing even the contractors to scatter to safety. Motorhead and Octane simply happened to be working together in a lab when it all went down, they ran and kept together until finding a safehouse. While they both had nest eggs and bank accounts, after about a week they started taking odd jobs just to keep a slight money flow. It was around then that they decided to relieve some tension, at first just here and there, then regularly. After that point they decided from there, the two were a couple. Just as things seemed to end for the syndicate, their recruiter checked in to inform them that there had been a change in leadership.
Work had restarted, though for Motorhead she had begun to feel sick. Despite Octane giving her medication for her stomach, another co-worker asked what they had gotten up to during the downtime. It didn't take long for the two villains to put two and two together, they had made a little experiment of their own. They married under two aliases with the family name Mackenzie in Las Vegas, Alex being born a few months after. Both being oddballs themselves, they weren't at all surprised to see exhaust pipes coming of their daughter's back. As she got older, it became more difficult for her parents to maintain their villainous activities as their main profession. While they still supported the organization, they took to the sidelines to support their daughter, at least until Alex was old enough to understand and keep her mouth shut. They operated a consultant business of sorts after getting a civilian quirk use license, having to roughly disclose just enough information about their quirks. Alex on the other hand was a carefree child, her quirk only providing some difficulties as she was a mutant type. School wasn't that hard until she started to rub heads with a bunch of arrogant hero-track children with flashy emitter and transformation quirks.
Alex was often teased for having pipes with a stinky smell coming out of her back, along with the other mutant types. One day she simply snapped after having someone try to use her exhausts as the targets for balls of crumbled paper. This was the first time she experienced slipping into 2nd gear, partially tearing her uniform as she got up and pummeled the boy who had been teasing her. While they were both suspended from school, the exile only hardened her. She didn't let anyone mess with her or the other mutants, smashing their lockers in whenever they started turn their noses upwards again. Perhaps if she had a guiding figure in her life, her protective nature could have been shaped towards the hero-track, but once she was later expelled from the fancy academy and entered into public school it was too late. It was the same song to a different tune, but here most of the hero-track kids were too busy with their studies, so there were only a few who liked to showoff. She introduced herself to one of the flashiest ones by headbutting them unconscious after teasing a girl who had a skunk tail.
Her parents weren't worried, but often made comments that made her question what exactly it was that their office did. How to leave wounds that don't leave bruises, what chemicals cause someone to get sick but not kill them, proper fighting postures and even instilling a way to make your foes fear you. Eventually Alex asked just as she was getting into Junior High, who they were and why they acted so damn weird. Her parents were completely transparent with her, what they used to do and what they walked away from to make sure she was taken care of. Alex wasn't that shocked, but was surprised they would have traded that in for a boring domestic life. She didn't want to be a burden on her parents, not caring what they did so long as they came home for dinner. The family bonds were strengthened after a long talk, soon after both parents began to make the moves to rejoin the syndicate after having their daughter's support. This event foreshadowed a darkness that would soon take over Alex's life.
As she was getting ready to choose a Highschool, she was out on the town when someone bombed her house. With little or nothing left, she ran out of town before child services could find her. She pieced together where her parent's boss was and demanded to know what happened. He was sympathetic to what happened, at first blaming a rival syndicate, but as news broke about a years long sting by the local hero agency... It was revealed that her parents had blown themselves and some unwanted house guests out of existence. She managed to get emancipated from the state and held down a job at one of her new boss's fronts. Alex was a pretty big girl, already intimidating and now distraught at the loss of her parents. She made a big impression with her coworkers, enough so that they convinced her to join in on a little robbery. Strapped for cash, Alex agreed to precipitate, serving as hired muscle. What she didn't know is that they decided to rob a bank in the city, escalating it from a simply robbery.
The job went sideways when their safecracker couldn't break into the vault fast enough, the police surrounding the building in force with minor tier Heroes ready to storm in. Alex was terrified, but at the same time excited. Something inside of her snapped and she threw caution to the wind. She was currently revving at her 3rd gear, up from her 2nd gear at the time. This was the first time she used her 4th gear. Alex bolted out of the bank with wicked speed and enough strength to knock through the police barricades like a wrecking ball. She was on an adrenaline high as the heroes began to react, though she quickly began to deal with them, mostly using brute force and whatever objects were on hand to beat them to a pulp. Before she realized it, Alex had lost track of time but had bought enough for her crew to roll around in their getaway car. When they returned home, their boss was furious at the amount of heat they had caused. All of them were fired, Alex included.
On her own, Alex performed her own heists and schemes across the western states for the next few years, often leaving large swathes of destruction, especially during pursuits by the police and local heroes. The media labeled her as having a case of road rage for how easily she damaged and swatted cars, Alex loved the name and decided to run with it, calling herself Road Rage. She had also started to branch into paid mercenary work, often travelling south of the border into Central and South America. However at that point she had begun to run out of luck, increasingly more impressive heroes started to pay attention to the young woman. One night she was schmoozing with fellow criminals at a bar just north of the Mexican border, trying to find an attractive woman to bring back to a hotel room when a raid specifically aimed at her capture pretty much spooked her. Alex was smart and fast enough to shrink down and switch into a spare uniform of the bar staff. While she was arrested in the sting, no one was the wiser about her identity and she was let go along with the rest of the staff. Alex quickly ducked out of her normal stomping grounds, travelling all the way out to Colorado until things calmed down.
She laid low for awhile, doing some construction work and minor thefts for extra money until she was contacted by email. Someone had enjoyed her style of mayhem in the States and gave her an invitation to continue her mayhem overseas. Alex was skeptical until she saw how much money was involved and that they were paying for a flight to Japan of all placed. She missed having the support of an organization and was a closet weeb, it wasn't a hard choice to accept. For awhile she had trouble blending in, mostly cultural differences. It wasn't until she was paired up with another American, a girl named Chloe Richter who went by the moniker Dynamo, that her life started to settle for the better. They were mostly at odds with each other, butting heads and often trading blows when things went awry. It wasn't until one day Alex pinned the smaller girl to the ground during a shouting match, their eyes had locked and both awkwardly walked away. Flustered, Alex decided to get drunk and find some floozy for the night, going to a local club. Much to her surprise she ran into Chloe there, also there to get wasted.
They awkwardly avoided one another at first, but after a few hours and a few drinks, they started to gush to one another. Alex was the first to admit her attraction to the smaller girl, loving how unfiltered and raw she was like lightning, not to mention her favorite color. Both of them hit it off and then proceeded to lovingly interact with each other on a daily basis even if they spit venom and traded blows. It was no secret that the two of them were an item and that they often disappeared, sometimes even on assignments whenever there was a bit of waiting or downtime required.
S2: All of her antics with the living thunderstorm led to a predictable conclusion, Chloe practically threw a fistfull of positive pregnancy tests at her one day. Alex was floored by the sudden revelation, surprising her girlfriend with how genuine she promised to be to her, making her feisty girlfriend actually blush for a moment. While Chloe didn't want to be waited on hand and foot, Alex forced the issue after she got in a scrap with a hero, making Chloe go stir crazy as she struggled to find things to do until she started gaming and lifting weights. She was intrigued by the idea of Chloe bulking up, pushing her to go further than just doing it to stay active. Alex shaped the scrappy girl from Texas into a brawler, ready to take on someone in case of rain. By that time though, Chloe popped out their daughter Ryan and Alex was caught off-guard by her waifu's vocals during the birth, wanting her to practice singing more once she recovered. Later on, whenever they were able to find a sitter, Alex would wheel Chloe out to some gigs out at night with some recruits and blast the night away with classic rock and metal, much to the delight of both women who thoroughly enjoyed rocking the night away.
Quirk
Name: Cardiac Drive
Quirk Type: Mutant
Power:
Alex's body shares some similarities to her parents, unlike a normal Human body she collects the trace metals and chemicals normally passed through digestion and has reinforced most of the tissues in her body with carbon, iron and titanium but mainly... she was born with an internal combustion engine where her heart should be. This engine of hers mainly runs off of carbs and alcohol (the sugar content in juice also works to a lesser extent, especially when she was in her youth). It constantly runs at least at her lowest gear (idle) to pump her blood, also using oxygen and then blowing out the exhaust from pipes out of her back. While not recommended, in an emergency she can guzzle a few ounces of gasoline or get a pep up from getting an electrical shock, but can't handle the sudden stimulation to her system more than once or twice without suffering a physical toll.
Over the years she learned how to switch her engine into higher performance gears, granting an increase in physical ability. Over the years she has learned to constantly run at higher gears, now currently running at her 3rd gear which grants her the size and significant strength akin to a well trained athlete of comparable size. She can downshift to 1st (Idle) or 2nd Gear for faster stamina recovery. It takes her several seconds to switch up to a higher gear.
Supermoves:
Transmission: Moves only relating to her switching her engine's gears.
Burnout: Alex revs her engine to its current full power while at a standstill, sometimes causing a little smoke and fire to pipe out of her exhaust. When she releases the torque, it gives her a momentary burst of speed and power that can exceed the usual limitations of her current gear. Though this comes at a cost as her engine needs time to recover afterwards. She often exploits this to demolish structural objects such as walls or support pillars... or to smash someone.
Downshift: While standing almost perfectly still, this is an emergency downshift to her lowest gear. Given more than a few minutes of rest and refueling she can get back into combat. It is also more beneficial for closing up wounds.
4th Gear: Alex's preferred level of physical ability for combat. At this point her muscles appear to swell by 20% and her exhaust pipes extend out an additional inch. At this level she reaches into the superhuman levels of strength and speed. Most doors and obstacles mean little to her and she is capable of intercepting most athletic runners given enough time. She is limited to 6 hours of active performance.
5th Gear: An advanced level of power for tougher opponents, though at this point she is also pushing herself. With this amount of power her muscles are an additional 20% larger with 2 additional exhausts poking out from below the other 2, making her capable of tearing apart cars and reinforced structures. Alex is capable of catching up to cars, but she can only maintain this level for 30 minutes. Her skin also begins to take on patches of carbon fiber, giving her a slight increase to her defensive capabilities.
6th Gear: Alex's current limit of power, her body pushing itself to maintain an enormous amount of strength and increased speed. Though she can only maintain this form for 10 minutes of activity before overheating or running out of stamina. At this level she gains an additional 20% of muscle, her first pair of exhaust pipes extend out 2 inches further while the second pair go out an additional 1 inch, both now spitting out flames especially as she uses engine power. Her skin takes on a metallic sheen as well.
Other: Moves not related to her engine transmission.
Nitrous Accelerator: Nitrous Oxide is a byproduct produced by her body overtime from breathing in the Nitrogen and Oxygen normally in the air. She can discharge this for a speed boost, once per hour for about 5 minutes. This causes blue jets if fire to puff out of her exhaust.
Carbon Cloud: Essentially a smoke screen, she causes an irregularity in her engine that won't harm her but will produce thick puffs of toxic black smog from the exhaust pipes coming out of her back.
Exhaust Thruster: Only with the gear on her villain outfit, Alex can enrich and compress her exhaust and then release it with enough propulsion to give herself a limited jet of speed or increase the height of a jump/leap. The higher her gear, the more powerful the force it will impart will be.
Drawbacks: Her 3rd gear is effectively the most optimum performance and endurance wise. Every gear above that while providing better performance, lowers her maximum endurance and further prevents her from regaining her stamina. It also takes several seconds to transition to a higher gear. Pushing herself above 3rd Gear, her exhaust must remain unobstructed or it will cause a misfire, possible cause her gears to slip. Below that she can vent out exhaust from her mouth. If her exhausts filled with water, she cannot fight and must immediately discharge it with air from her mouth, otherwise this will also cause a misfire. She cannot have a gaping open wound in order to properly pump torque into her muscles. Alex also must have sufficient air to properly power her engine, she avoids going into tightly enclosed spaces due to a potential carbon monoxide build up.
Fighting Style: Alex prefers to be always moving on her feet or skates, not wanting to simply assault someone from just one side if she's fast enough. As she increases her engine's RPMs in a fight, the more destruction she will cause to her surroundings, often to make debris or objects she can throw. She often prefers to be relentless if possible as her power is more time based the higher the gear she is using, only being more strategic if using her 3rd or 4th gears. She will avoid engaging people if she is trying to recover in her 2nd or 1st gear, as she doesn't consider herself as capable of battling anyone in her "weakened" state.
