Name: Rebecka Morrow
Age: 16
Gender: Self Explanatory
Birthplace: Side 4
Faction: AEUG
Rank: Petty Officer
Appearance:
Rebecka is a girl of average height, 5'5" with vibrant purple hair and intensely green eyes. Her hair is somewhat spiky, pointing upwards. She has youthfully smooth fair skin, with only a few marks on her back from when she was injured several years ago. Her body is on the fit side of the slender spectrum, having some light tone to it from aerobics and school sports.
Personality: The best way to describe Rebecka is that shes feisty. She often displays her strong spirit and brash tendencies despite her IQ. She is somewhat laid back but doesn't shirk in her responsibilities as a pilot. Rebecka isn't afraid to say whats on her mind, often rubbing people the wrong way or getting into fights. In battle Rebecka is laser focused, but at the same time she might chose to ignore a command to hit what she would consider a "bonus objective" like in a video game. She is completely into her current line of work, not knowing if she could ever go back to civilian life until people get their acts together.
She absolutely hates just sitting around, Rebecka if not on a mission will be found doing odd tasks where ever she is such as taking apart small devices or even doing something production like tuning her mobile suit. Another thing she hates is being called a prodigy or whatever the hot term is for someone with special talents. Rebecka does have the ability to wind down though, usually by watching movies or playing the latest game she can get her hands on.
History: Rebecka was born in Side 4, but was displaced by the war. After being hit in the head when the colony was breaking apart from a nearby battle, someone evacuated her to one of the shuttles. Her shuttle arrived at Side 1, the orphaned children ended up in foster care but a few like Rebecka ended up being adopted on the spot after receiving proper medical care. She just happened to have been adopted by a couple who were engineers working for the Earth Federation. They pushed her into going back to school right away, wanting the poor girl to have a good education, but Rebecka was frustrated that she couldn't remember her life from before. Her house, her parents... all gone and she'd tried her best to remember to no avail. Rebecka despite often misbehaving at school or finding someway to blow it off, actually had good testing scores. A few teachers saw a diamond in the rough and sat her down to demonstrate her education. As a result of testing, Rebecka was given a scholarship by a fancy academy. It was there that she actually became interested in school, though she was still a bit rough around the edges. She joined the petite MS club under the advice of her parents. The club was full of kids that were either a bit bookwormy or on the haughty side. Rebecka stuck her foot in the middle when they were deciding on who would pilot the project this year. While some of the more mechanical minded members started work on the kit, Rebecka went up against some of the previous pilots in simulators and showed off vastly superior reflexes that she didn't realize she had. Suffice to say when they had the regional competition, Rebecka brought home the gold. It might have only been displaying that their suit was well put together and that the pilot could accomplish a few service tasks like moving boxes full of materials, but Rebecka definitely shined brighter than most... possibly too bright.
A few weeks later, men in black uniforms talked to her foster parents about sending her to a place where her abilities could shine. Rebecka was frightened by their presence and told her parents she didn't want to go. They seemed a bit upset for soldiers over her decision, but it wouldn't be the last time she would see them. For the next few days everything was quiet, though something hung over her that scared her. At school she privately received a report that her parents one day "died" in a shuttle accident and was sent home, foul play wasn't suspected... but Rebecka knew better. Before anyone could give their condolences to her at home, she was already in the wind. Rebecka and her parents were planning a trip in the summer, so she already had a large suitcase to throw her clothes into. She stole a friend's bike and rode to the spaceport, using her parent's money to buy a ticket to the moon. A check with an old neighbor while in transit to the moon confirmed her fears when the woman told Rebecka that military looking types were tearing up her house. Rebecka had almost no one to turn to but a penpal from before her academy days named Stacey that lived in Granada. The two had somewhat of a rapport and were able to get in contact with each other and make plans on short notice. Upon meeting her friend on the moon, Rebecka quickly learned of the underground movement against the Titans and destructive politics of the Earth Federation. Stacey was more or less an activist, but wasn't a member of the AEUG. The AEUG certainly interested Rebecka though, she wanted revenge for her parents... and to know why those men were after her so bad. It took some time but Stacey was able to get Rebecka a meeting with a low level member who in turn brought her to someone the interviewed her.
Rebecka displayed her brash tendencies during the interview and they nearly passed her off until she mentioned that men arranged for her parents to be killed so they could abduct her. They held her in an apartment room for a few days while they corroborated her story. Her emotions only stewed while stuck in the room, often resulting in a few damaged walls. After a few days of being monitored and the investigators reporting in, they determined she wasn't a threat to the AEUG... though she was to that room. They tested her a bit in petite Mobile Suits before moving to simulators. Rebecka was a bit insulted that they didn't trust her to pilot one at first but saw first hand how different the way it moved was when thrown into an artificial battle. After a several more simulations, her instruction albeit after a few arguments... eventually approved her to try out on a trainer suit. It still wasn't the real thing but was progress at least, enough to satisfy Rebecka's militaristic ambitions. After a few days playing around on the dark side of the moon using paint rounds she was eventually assigned an older suit, a GM Custom. Rebecka at first was a bit disappointed but compared the stats to the other models available it satisfied her.
