The school ground gym was blasting a rather funky workout tune from its surround speaker system, giving the all-over atmosphere of a rather relaxed, but focused training session. Just what Jack was needing for today's daily reps. He had already warmed up with around 50 push-ups and sit-ups each, and was currently just jabbing away at a sandbag, getting some rapid straights and hooks in as the bag was just receiving an endless pummeling from the 3rd year student.
He considered himself quite lucky. Just one year away from graduating to a Pro-Hero, and having the love of his life ever since 1st year. Well, they only technically began dating during 2nd year, but it still counts! So, as part of a promise they had made each other, Jack has really started picking up his training regimen, aiming to get even stronger and faster for both his and Hokori's sake. So here he was, giving it his all on the sandbag.

Emily wasn't sure about this. She hadn't been sure about a lot of things lately. It was really starting to get on her nerves. She was already in her second year at U.A. She should be serious by this point, have more plans for her future than... well, no need to dwell on that right now. There were far too many things on the girl's mind at any given moment, but those things didn't need to be one of them at the moment. Worrying about gym-related things while one was at the gym was a full plate already.
Emily swallowed the butterflies still lingering in her throat, and approached Jack. She was in the U.A. gym uniform, the same as him, her right arm gripping her left. At least she was maintaining eye contact with him... even if he wasn't looking at her yet. Focus, Kramer. Once she got close enough, she waved. Not that she needed to, he probably saw her-
"H-Hey, uhh, Jack. It is Jack, right? Could I talk to you? Just for a sec."

Jack had spotted her, for sure. Hard to not notice the one student that had gotten as far in the sports festival as she did, but also because it was literally JUST HIM in the gym right now, still punching away at the sandbag with a rapid blitz of straight punches to finish his rep, before he'd bounce back a few steps and let his arms drop to relax, panting heavily for a bit before he'd turn to Emily, a smarmy grin on his muzzle.
"Right on y'money there, luv!"
He'd respond as he would even give a cheeky wink at her, showing off just how approachable and easy-going he was... or so he hoped! She looked real tense, poor lass. Might as well do something to ease her up! He'd just nudge his head sideways over to a bench where his bag was, motioning her to follow as he'd walk over and plop down on the bench, pulling his bag aside for Emily before he'd fish out a water bottle, taking a quick swig of it.
"Yea' sure, got time to throw words as well as punches, heh! So wha's eatin' at ya mind, luv? Somethin' Ol' Jackie can help with?"

He was too kind. No, seriously. Jack was too kind. It didn’t make any sense to Emily. She was stumbling up to him with her foot in her mouth three different ways, and he still didn’t bat an eye to give her the time of day. She was painfully aware that most of these thoughts were bloody- were just nerves, which only made this more frustrating.
After taking a moment, the words came to her. “D’you… could you… I mean, I’ve been looking to improve myself, and, uhh, fightin’ people without my weapon has never been my strong suit. What I’m tryin’ ta say is… could you help me with that? Help train me, I mean? You’re the best bloke I know when it comes to knockin’ folks flat with your bare hands. S’okay if you don’t want to or don’t have time or whatever."

Jack was patient and calm before Emily, not wanting to rush her questions and requests. But he could feel that same ol' grin tugging at the corners of his lips with Emily's request. She wanted HIM to train her on how to fight in hand-to-hand? Now this was a feeling he was gonna cherish! The trainee becoming the trainer for someone else! Well, he was not about to turn down such a nice request, so he'd just nod heartily as he'd bounce back up on his feet.
"Hah! Well I'd say y'came to the right bloke fer the job, luv! Ain' no one better at throwin' down some fisticuffs than ol' Jackie~! I'll show ya the ropes fer sure! Hop on over with me to the boxin' ring over 'dere!" he exclaims and waves his hand, indicating for Emily to follow him over to a basic boxing ring at the far end of the gym. He hops over the ropes of the ring and waits for the 2nd year student to crawl inside.
"Right 'den, basics o' the basics! The first an' foremost thing any fighter wanna learn is 'deir stance! You know the basic boxin' stance, right?" Jack asks before he demonstrates, putting his dukes up with his elbows parallel to each other in height, his stance wide and resting on either the balls of his heels or the top-soles of his feet to better adjust his balance. "This is jus' a basic stance, but it's one tha' gives ya the most balance an' control of where you move yer body. And one other thing; the mos' common mistake people think fighters do is that they TENSE UP all the time. Y'don't do that! That'll jus' make ya more rigid than a bloody phone pole! Instead, ya need to keep your muscles loose! So not only do ya move faster an' react better, but in the off-chance that ya DO get hit, relaxin' instead of tensin' up causes you LESS damage since you jus' flow with the impact force rather 'dan resist it! Y'follow?"
