Pitch: Growing up is hard when you're supposed to be a frightening beast person, but have the ferocity of a potato. Yet that doesn't bother Akio, as he just does his best with what he has.

There is nothing too spectacular to say about the little beast-human known as Akio Yamakichi. He was born and raised with the love and care of his parents, and he even got himself a little sister at the age of 6. He had his friends, went to elementary school like any other kid... but there was an issue when he reached the age of 8. At this ripe age, his parents -- and most of his extended family -- were expecting things of him. Due to him being a beast-human, and especially a carnivorous one, he was expected to show a bit of back-bone, and have a ferocious visage about him. Naturally, even the most carnivorous of beast-humans were civil beings, but being ferocious was just to show that they weren't going to be pushed around. However, there was one issue with Akio... he seemed to outright lack that ferocity. It was later found out that he had a minor case of anxiety, and just didn't want to be ferocious or frightening in the slightest. This caused a bit of a divide in his family, as some of his older generations thought of him as a failure, but his parents and little sister stood firmly on his side, only wanting what was best for him.
Unfortunately, this meant that his external family began to shun and/or outright ignore him, which sort of affected Akio in a bad way. And as he began to attend high school at Buster City High, his anxiety was taking a slightly worse toll. But, eventually, he began to try and shut out the thoughts of his elders. He just wanted to do what he wanted to do, and nothing was going to stop him. And so here he is today, still studying through his junior year of high school, doing his best to impress his family.

Description: Being a hyena beast-human, Akio is of course covered in shaggy, rough fur, colored in various tones of brown, with darker brown blotches here and there, especially over his muzzle and on the edges of his ears. He has big, brown eyes, and a rather large, black nose. He dresses mostly in a blue/red striped sweater, a black biker jacket, and black jeans and jogging shoes.
Abilities
Gear: Being just a regular citizen and a student, Akio does not have too much outstanding 'gear' on him. Just what you'd expect of your average teenager; he has a flip-phone which is his own personal phone, with a set of wireless air-buds for when he wants to chill to music. He also owns a skateboard which he's rather good with, and while it is a little out of the ordinary, he also carries a pocket knife around occasionally, for self-defense.
Abilities: Akio doesn't really have too many 'special' abilities, other than the fact that due to his hybrid nature of being a beast-human, most of his natural senses are rather enhanced, such as his sense of sight, smell, and hearing, which are his most honed senses. He's also pretty mean on his skateboard, and has even thought about entering competitions if they ever start showing up.
