Daichi had made it through all of one week at UA so far and MAN was it exhausting. So many people. So much movement. Working out. Running. Quirk training. Random conversations happening either with or around him swirling in his head getting entangled and translated every which way without his consent. It was all headache inducing and just plain tiring. Luckily it was the weekend and he could FINALLY just take Mushu out for a nap under a nice big tree and vibe.
And that is exactly what he did with his first day off. Bearded dragon firmly hooked onto his hoodie and back pack holding a few bottles of water, some food for both himself and his lizard, and the feeding and water bowls, the first year made his way into the courtyard and promptly found the biggest, best napping tree there. Making his way over, he calculated in his mind the bet position to keep in the sun and bath in the warm without it shining into his eyes for the longest amount of time. Then, he took his plan, moved Mushu from his shoulder to his chest, sprawled out under the tree and took a long, deep breath. Eyes closed, breath steady, Daichi lay there and let the vibes flow. Every so often Mushu moved around on his chest to be more in the sun. The two seemed to be one in the same, enjoying the quiet and pleasant warmth of the day.

Daichi would be interrupted not long after he began to rest by the sound of an animal next to his face, as a tiny little fox stared at him curiously.
"Zorro! Where'd you go? Come back here!" A female voice called out from nearby. Kitana wasn't far away, and she seemed to be searching for something. Presumably Zorro was this little fox staring at him now, especially since its ear twitched in recognition of Kitana's voice, but it seemed to have a mischievous look on its face as it moved a bit to better hide using Daichi's face

Daichi opened one eye and observed the fox as it seemed to be observing him. It seemed just as curious about him as he was about it. Then he heard a girl calling for the creature. Zorro was his name huh? The fox snickered and pushed his way under the first-years head as though trying to hide from whoever was calling him.
When he looked over he spotted Kitana searching around for what he could only assume was her pet. He looked down at Mushu who stared back at him before adjusting himself on his owner's chest to be more in the sun, full uncaring of anything else happening around him. Daichi looked back over towards Kitana and waited for her to notice him laying there. It was only a matter of time before she came over and asked about her fuzzy friend. Seemed he wouldn't get to nap just yet.

Nearby, there was an odd sight of what looked like a rogue exercise ball full of a blue sloshing liquid rolling through the campus of its own volition. It stopped abruptly when Kitana called out to someone. A small circular hatch popped open from the top, a small blob with eyes cautiously peering out from the top. Maya's circular eyes blinked as she looked at the first year who called out. She paused before rotating 360 degrees around. "What's a Zorro?" Maya asked from afar as she slowly snaked more out of the hatch to meet Kitana's height.

Kitana's search was interrupted as a ball of blue liquid rolled in front of her, then opened up to reveal it was... a person? She'd never seen a quirk like that before... but then again her small village didn't have a whole lot of diversity at all now that she thought about it, especially within her family. She supposed she'd have to get used to sights like these.
"Zorro is my pet fox, he ran off and is hiding from me. He's a bit of a troublemaker" Kitana sighed, then glanced over, seeing Daichi "Oh hey! Daichi, you wouldn't have happened to seen or heard a mischievous little fox around here would you?"
Zorro squeaked quietly underneath Daichi's head "No don't tell! Playing!"

Daichi stared up at Kitana and the slime girl as Kitana spoke to him asking about the fox. When the fox spoke his eyes very obviously looked down at him under his head, stared at him for a moment, then looked back at Kitana and stared at her again. He then shrugged with his average blank expression, as though trying to say he had no clue to where the fox he very clearly just stared at was.
Mushu, in the meantime, took interest in the new potential sun bathing post that was Kitana's foot and scurried onto it. She was very warm and her shoe was a nice, solid surface that was a bit more in the sun than Daichi's chest had been. The lizard circled a few times like a cat on the fox girl's show before deciding to face Daichi and take the perfect sun bathing stance by lifting his head up closer to the sky.
Daichi nodded to his scaly companion and pulled the food and water bowls out of the backpack next to him, along with a water bottle and some meal warms and veggies. He set the bowls up by Kitana's foot and filled them, then soluted his lizard.
"Land..... concured....."

Maya oozed fully out of the ball and into her somewhat newer Human appearance dressed in the standard UA uniform. "A fox you say..." She muttered, taking long look around as her eyes took on various shapes. Honestly having nothing better to do, Maya figured helping out a first year for a little while wouldn't hurt. She did however take notice of a reptile approaching and then taking temporary residence on Kitana's foot. "Well... there's a lizard." She said, stepping closer and crouching down to inspect it. "Its a bearded dragon I think?" Maya then slowly held out her hand to see if it was friendly enough to could pet.

Kitana looked down at Daichi, noting where he glanced and seeing just the tiniest bit of fox tail poking out from the hiding spot.
"Zorro get out here this instant or you're not getting treats tonight." Kitana said firmly, then glanced down as the lizard crawled onto her foot "what is it with me and attracting reptiles...?"
"What? No fair! I'm just playing!" Zorro squeaked in protest as he wiggled back out, then also saw the lizard and growled "hey step off buddy that's MY giant fox lady! I got dibs!
"Zorro behave! Honestly you're such a handful" Kitana sighed, bending down and scooping up the fox to put on her shoulder.

"Playing." Daichi noted, taking the lizard off her shoe and placing him back on his chest before moving the food and water bowls too. Mushu scurried aroudn a bit until he found his new spot and sat himself there to eat his meal. He also nodded to the girl he didn't know, confirming that it was, in fact, a bearded dragon. "Mushu." He explained.
Then he looked to the fox. It took him a minute to circle into fox, but he got there eventually. "Sun." He yipped with a point, then pointed to Kitana's shoe. "Heat." Then pointed back to his scaly friend. "Like." Basically, the lizard was more interested in the heat from her show and the sunlight than he was in the actual person. He wasn't sure how well that came off, but it was the best he could do.
He then looked back up to Kitana. "Playing. Young. hide and..." wait... that last part wasn't right... what was that, Swahili? "Hide..." French. He would stare at the girls blankly for a solid minute as the languages cycled and circled in his mind until he was able to cling back to Japanese. "Hide... and... seek...." He managed with some effort.

Maya clapped her hands together when the fox made its appearance. "Such a pretty fox too." She said as her attention was focused now on Zorro, Maya getting closer to Kitana as she fussed over it. "Man you guys are lucky to have pets, I only got to play with the lab animals at my mom's work." The 2nd year complained, reaching out to stroke the fox if it would let her. But as she was doing so, her attention was drawn to Daichi, saying making odd noises before speaking foreign languages, then back to Japanese. "That your quirk? Something with languages?" Maya asked, now drawn to Daichi. Her experiences at her mother's work had tainted her to always be curious about other people's quirks when expressed, as her own was very unique.

Daichi's explanation appeared to placate Zorro, who simply 'hmphed' and focused on soaking up the attention from Maya, purring a bit as he leaned into the strokes. He wasn't about to pass up a chance for petting after all.
"I've only had my pet for a little while, found the little guy cold and alone in the rain Kitana said, scratching under Zorro's chin "couldn't very well just leave him like that. He's a handful though, always wanting to play even when it's a bad time for it.
Kitana nodded at Daichi as he told her Zorro had just been playing hide and seek "yeah I figured it was that. He plays that in the dorms too, doing it out here is more problematic though. At least in the dorms I know he's safe even if I can't find him." she sighed

Daichi nodded to the girls, responding mostly to the question about his quirk.
"Omniglot." He noted, with no more explanation because he just couldn't manage it.
He then listened to Kitana's thoughts on hide and seek. Instead of responding to her, the boy sat silently for another minute and a half cycling to get make to fox.
"Worried... outside... danger... play..... inside..... better...." He managed to translate, though with some serious strain and a lot of time between each word. He actually slumped a bit onto the tree with a sigh after that, though still no change to his face.
