Flynn paid close attention to everyone's opinions on vigilantes (minus Faliwah who he couldn't care less about).
"Um... I've never encountered vigilantes and don't really feel comfortable giving my opinion on a topic I have no personal knowledge of." He signed with Yashida interpreting with his flamboyant tone and all. But he looked at Tanzo and nodded to his answer. It seemed reasonable enough to say 'it depends.' He was also pretty bias. With a shrug, he pointed to his best friend as though to say 'what he said, I guess.'
Nocturne said to partner up with the people they agreed with most and Flynn instantly scooched his desk with a loud screech across the floor so it was touching Tanzo's and gave him a grin. This was mostly his own bias coming into play again, but he also felt like Tanzo's arguments about retraint and not making snap judgements about people made sense. But... More so he just wanted to team up with his best friend

Youta might've had many thoughts on the things being said around the room, but in this instance he decided to instead listen and watch everyone else. The new guy, Ivan, was definitely stirring the pot with some of the more...passionate members of his class, it was easy to see where some had trouble seeing through the guy's admittedly rocky personality and into the heart of what he was saying. While he didn't entirely agree, he did find himself thinking more along the lines of what Ivan said, just probably would've explained it in a softer way. To be fair though, that was Youta through and through. He was chill, he was easy going, and he was kind. It wasn't always sunshine and roses as a hero though, being able to stay the way he was definitely wasn't the norm for this life.
Vigilantes have a place in hero society, too...right? I mean, even with how many heroes there are in the world...we can't get all of the problems. Things in that gray area have to be dealt with somehow thinking to himself as Noc moved the class on to a new thing, as well as hushing up the current discussion. Wait, did he say team ups? Uh...right, well...pay attention Youta!
Youta looked around the room for a moment, unsurprised to see Jack and Hokori teaming up, then exceedingly surprised to note that Ivan was now sitting on his desk. The brief moment of surprise passed, and Youta spoke up "yeah, I guess you're right. Dominating takes a lot of shapes" when asked about vigilantes, he smiled and responded with "a vigilante can be as much a hero as they can be a villain. There's a fine line there, but the gray world between heroes and villains isn't gonna go away. If we just treat it all like black and white then we're never gonna get anywhere. As long as they don't stray too far from doing the right thing like they claim, then I don't see why vigilantes can't or shouldn't exist. We shouldn't waste time going after em just for not having a license, we don't know why they chose never to get one. Live n' let live" Youta grinned at Ivan "Name's Youta. Ivan, right? Welcome to the class, I'm hype to see what you've got" raising his arm up and offering his fist for a fist bump with his new classmate.

Jack grins widely as Hokori scoots himself up towards him, as he embraces his boyfriend with a cheeky grin in return and ruffles up his hair a bit. No doubt they would have similar opinions on things when they were practically bound together since Year 1! But he could respect Hokori's views on things and agree with it. Heroes needed more spotlight shone on them to really stand out and make villains piss themselves when they enter the fray!
"Hah, y'said it Hokori! We're gonna beat out any opposition!"
Meanwhile, to this, Lauren just rolled her eyes at Jack's shenanigans, but she was glad for both of them. At least they got to team up... now who did she agree with the most? In all fairness... she felt that Shinja and Faliwah were more on the correct path. People needed to follow the laws in place, and not turn to vigilantism. But at the same time, if they were that eager and qualified to do hero work... she'd roll her shoulders in a shrug for herself, as she'd walk over to join up with Shinja and Faliwah.
"Well, seeing as I'm not vibing with anyone else here, suppose we're gonna have to be the big "Girls Only" squad, eh Fali?"
She'd grin a bit at her classmate, giving her a thumbs up before she'd also give one to Shinja.
"We'll show those bozos what for, right girls?"

Faliwah pondered who it was that she had most agreed with. As far as Hero stances went, Shinja, Lauren, Tanzo Jack and Flynn all had honorable she could agree with. She could understand where Hokori and Youta came from but she couldnt see eye with the new guy on any of his views.
As far as vigilante views went, however most of the statements were foolish. She couldnt say she agreed with most of them. Rules had to be followed which left her with just a few options. Lauren, Shinja and Jack all brought up statements that rules had to be followed, she agreed with Lauren on both her statements and she remembered Shinja having solid views as well.
It was as she pondered that Shinja had approached her. It was of little surprise to learn that their views aligned as well as their quirks did, there had to be reason to why she was such a valuable and worthy rival for all this time
"theres a saying to keep enemies closer than friends, isnt there?"
She would question shinja, a smile on her face. She, as an ally would be a reliable one, she was certain. The pair of them would be a powerful one to head up against. Everyone would need to be on their A game, for certain.
Then, Lauren approached them, and faliwah had looked over, seeming thoughtful.
"It doesnt seem fair, to be a trio but.."
She paused for a moment, the corner of her lips curling up slightly
"Sensei said to not worry about numbers. We can show these guys what were made of"
She noted. Competition ran deep through her veins and Lauren was strong in her own right. The three of them would be dominating and, Laurens views aligned with her own well, also.

Up to this point Ouju had been remarkably quiet, other than her brief introduction, had seemingly spent the rest of the time looking out the window. Her gaze, however wasn't seeing the outside but rather she was listening to the others and pondering her own thoughts about the teachers question. The topic had sparked a memory about something her uncle had once said. It was history but the way he spoke made it sounds like it was more than just general history.
those thoughts were curtailed when she realised that she hadn't actually spoken up in a while and should probably give an answer of her own. Specially now that the teach was moving the lesson on. She had been about to speak but with the some of the other going back and forth at each other. So when she got the chance, she piped up with her own answer. "The first Heroes were vigilantes but it wasn't their qualifications and certifications got them recognised as heroes. It was their deeds and how they performed them. At the end of the day it came down to public opinion about who got classed as a hero, a villain and well just reckless trouble maker. Doing what ever it takes can be no different from a villain who's initial goals had been with good intentions but was willing to use any method to achieve them".
She took a breath and glanced around quickly to see the others reactions and pressed on regardless "I think the most important trait for a hero is the simply just not giving up and to keep trying. A hero is as much a symbol as they are job, the very presence of a reputable hero can drastically change the outcome of a situation. Even if your not a top ten hero, simply being known can before enough to give hope, being known that you will do everything in your power to do so is what's important....". She trailed off a little as she ran out of words to go with her thought. Ouju had more to say but ended up just going silent as she couldn't put her words in line with her thoughts. She just smiled and sat down again.
When Nocturne called for them to group up. She made a move that could have been seen as a little wild, she went to join Ivan and Youta. She couldn't say she disagreed with ether of them, though resonating wasn't the right word ether. Ivan was a tad more aggressive with how assertive he was trying to be and Youta, well she felt he was right, at least on that last part. Someone has to be the hero. "Hey don't go cracking skulls with people who are on your side just cause they have a different opinion" she said with a grin as she slid her desk over to join with them. "Kawashiro Ouju by the way, 3-B, sorry I'm not in the same class" she added, stealing in a fist bump before Ivan. She threw in a wink to Ivan as she sat down.

"Different shapes, huh? Now you're talking more my language, Youta. There's way more to heroics than just some measly title. " The brit would tell Youta, shrugging his shoulders and raising his own fist in greeting. Ivan raised an eyebrow as Ouju approached. She even snatched a fist bump before he had the chance, it would only reward her with a short-lived glare. He sigh before going ahead and bumping knuckles with the pink-haired kid. "Glad there are few people with their head screwed on correctly. " He'd nod toward the girl. He could understand her views on vigilantes. It was respectable and actually was a bit impressive for her to know the origins of heroing.
Nocturne would clear his throat as the last of the students got into position. He let his eyes rinse over them, taking in the possibilities they created. Even if these teams were just based on measly opinions, there were strong combinations. He couldn't help but feel a little excited, as he hadn't gotten to see every student in a combat scenario. This would give him the perfect measuring stick to see where everyone was.
"Before we get TOO ahead of ourselves. One of the reaosns I gathered this joint class was because Terebii and I planned a surprise assembly in the auditorium just for you 3rd years. " He'd leave the planning where it was. If he waited any longer, he'd risk running all over this person's schedule. "Everyone up n at em, we're gonna take a brisk walk over there now. We can finish set up on the day of. You already know who you're working with, so if you want to invest a bit more feel free to do so on your off time. After this small assembly, you're free until you're next class."
Most teachers would gather the students to make a line or something more orderly, but Noc? -He'd throw his blazer on, and yawn big. With a lazy beckoning hand for the students to follow after him, he'd begin walking towards the auditorium.
Ivan squinted at the man."This school... is everyone like him?" he asked Ouju and Youta. He'd stand up from the desk. He hesitated realizing he'd already forgotten the auditorium's location but quickly found himself at ease when he realized everyone would be going in the same direction. He could just follow the flow of kids.

Jack was the first one to pipe up when Nocturne announced that there'd be a surprise assembly in the auditorium, which had his ears swiveled up high on attention. That was a bit unexpected, but he did not mind it seems. He just grins at Hokori and patted him on the back, before getting up on his feet.
"Alright, am I the only one gettin' pumped up or what?! I can't wait t'see what Terebi got planned fer us! Whaddya say Hokori, wanna race to the auditorium?!"
"Tch... boys, am I right?"
Lauren scoffs playfully as she overheard Jack's excited exclamation, rolling her eyes a little before she'd nod to both Faliwah and Shinja, signaling that she'd want to walk with the three of them. She knew Nocturne had told them that they could invest more in their team-work on their off time, but TECHNICALLY, walking to the auditorium could be considered that too, right? But also, she hadn't really chatted with her fellow 3rd year girls for a while. All her talking had been spent on her underclass girlfriend in 2-A.
"So anyhow... what've you two been up to lately? I've kinda neglected you two for Serena a whole lot, but I'm sure you get why, right? So like, I'd just like to catch up on you two, get what I mean?"

Tanzo wasn't surprised that only Flynn came to sit with him. He was well aware his stance on vigilantes wasn't a popular one. Considering vigilantism was illegal and everyone here was training to become what was essentially law enforcement. He could've debated it further, he had strong feelings on the subject to go along with his even stronger ones against the way the hero system worked currently. He knew too many people failed by the system... and had been failed by it himself... to just accept that everyone should conform to it. This wasn't a world of black and white like some people here seemed to wanna believe, and he refused to pretend it was.
It was fine though, he'd always been strong enough to handle these exercises alone, even when competing with each other he usually placed pretty well... and Flynn made for a good teammate. They'd worked together plenty over the years and could synergize well together. Tanzo could create mirrored surfaces basically anywhere he wanted, as well as provide weapons for Flynn to use. Plus they could communicate silently which was often useful.
For now though he'd get up and make his way towards the auditorium, giving Flynn a smile, nod, and fist bump of acknowledgement... he didn't have much to say though. The debate had put him in a sour mood and he didn't much feel like casual conversation now.

Faliwah had looked over to jack and his proclamation to race his teammate and boyfriend to the auditorium seeming rather childish. It would seem Lauren would think so as well.
" Boys will be boys it seems"
She would respond back as she got up to walk with Lauren and Shinja.
"can't say I don't envy you. I would probably do the same in your situation"
She offered, encouragingly as they walked down the hall
"how you, and all the other couples find time is beyond me with the work load we're given. My internship is going steady and any spare time I have I work on my dancing and of course training"
She would state, with a slight amount of exasperation but it was expected. Even as the year began, the workload was as big as ever

"Heeeeeell yeah, Big Buck! The best couple are gonna kick ass today! Let's rock 'n' roll, you get me? Last one there buys lunch!"
Hokori whooped and laughed as he shot off, racing Jack to the auditorium, not waiting for anyone else. He notably didn't use his quirk; anyone taught by Nocturne would know to keep that kind of behaviour under wraps when they were in the hallways. Hokori and been scolded before, and had no intention of having it happen again!
"What have I been up to...?"
Shinja mused the question as she watches Jack and Hokori race off in front of everyone. She looked at Lauren and Faliwah with a lopsided smile.
"Training, I guess. Nocturne keeps me busy with his internship, and I'm trying to optimise my fans before the end of this year... I want to be the true version of myself when I graduate, you know?"
She looked sidelong at Faliwah and Lauren, smirking silently as they headed to guess auditorium.
"I don't usually get competitive... but if we can win won for the girls, I'd have a lot of ammo against Jack and Tanzo. I think we'll be a team that even the likes of Strive would fear!"
Shinja stared ahead, mulling over what this training could entail.
"Faliwah, we've never worked together, but I feel like I know your quirk pretty well... and Lauren, we've trained plenty of times. A lot of the others are teaming up with like-minded people... this wil l be an interesting session. We need to be seamless."

As Hokori raced Jack to the training field, a figure stepped out in front of him. The boy barrelled into them, bouncing off a wall of stout muscles and power. Hokori shook his head, looking up at the man who had just interrupted his face. His eyes widened as he looked into a broad, beaming face.
"Hey, you okay, kid?"
Standing before the third years was a face they would all know well. He shot them a wink, two fingers resting against his temple. One arm had a shield.
Strive, the Number One Hero, was here in U.A.!
"You must be the third years of the Hero Course! I did strive to get here earlier, but looks like my old pal Nocturne was too anxious to get you guys going! But never fear! The Number One Hero is now here!"
