Kingdom Hearts: Waking Dreams

What is the heart?

Is it the central organ of the body? The pump which keeps us alive by supplying blood to our extremities? Is it a symbolic representation of our ability to love and be loved? Is it the secrets of the universe locked behind a door with no discernible key to the lock? Is it light, is it darkness, is it death, is it life? Men have driven themselves to their own ends researching this mysterious entity, the Heart, a vessel for which power flows though which shape that power takes is as unpredictable as the heart itself. There is even a legend about a mythical land where the heart originates from a place of fairy tails called Kingdom Hearts... rubbish, no such place ever existed or will exist it's only a fools tale told to encourage men of science and understanding to pursue fiction.. the truth of the heart is that it is everything in this world and yet nothing at all, alone weak and fragile, but placed among others an unbreakable force of pure determination. How can such a paradoxical thing exist... simple, like the rest of the world, it both simultaneously exists and doesn't in a world of reality and fiction, fantasy and unfantasy.. this is the secret to the heart and how in no single world can anyone truly grasp its beauty, and its terror.

Kingdom hearts Waking Dreams persists is a role play about the boundaries of reality and perception. In it you will play as one of several races that inhabit both the real world, the fictional world, and the world of kingdom hearts. The main antagonist is a scientific Researcher from reality named Dr Schrodinger who is convinced that hearts hold the key to unlocking the secret of dimensional travel. His String Theory posits that all hearts are connected but only when they are close and share a similar belief, a common thread, they can not only summon great power but manifest entire realities. To this end he is trying to bring about the manifestation of Kingdom Hearts in the real world through the power of collective consciousness. The affects of his experiments reach far and wide as fictional worlds begin to blend together, and the worlds of realism, emerge as nascent stars in a vast universe. What do you believe, and is your heart strong enough to make that dream a reality?

The races of this role play are as follows

Real Person: Someone who does exist and inhabits the real world

Fictional Person: Someone who never existed and inhabits a world of pure fantasy

Realistic Person: Someone who could exist and inhabits a world of plausibility

Unreal Person: Someone who couldn't exist and inhabits a world of plausibility

Beyond those primary categories are subraces such as

Humans

Monsters

Cartoons

Programs and so on and so forth every type of character will be represented to the best of my ability but I may overlook some stuff

Keyblades do exist in this roleplay and are not restricted in any way shape or form, BUT, they are not inherently powerful as they are in the main series. To put in universe, keyblades are manifestations of the wielders beliefs, be they good or bad, this manifestation draws power from the belief in of itself and can be broken or imbued, but it is no more unique than a world where magic is believed to be the ultimate power, or where technology dominates, this self singular belief in one's own abilities will always cause their heart to manifest according to their true faith.

To my INTENTION there are no worlds, settings, places, or characters outside of the realm of possible within this RP however and this a giant HOWEVER I would ask that unless you want to remain isolated on your world of choice, you do not make canon characters to other franchises. Much like the games there is a world order to keep total bedlam from happening so characters who aren't from an awoken world won't know about other worlds and realities, in fact those that know about other realities will be fairly rare, and you can't just go spreading this information or you'd be as bad as the Big Bad Guy. So here are the rules involving Canon characters

1. They must never leave their world of origination unless it is destroyed

2. They can have their own business but they can not involve themselves with outsiders unless those outsiders seek them out

3. All of their abilities will be localized to their world, with exception for their own unique canon story, they won't be able to manifest magic if they aren't in a world with belief in magic.

4. they may not wield a keyblade unless they have a copy ability and witness one

5.They must at least once go through the canon history of their own world, after that however it is free to interpretation

Pending you follow all those rules you can make Naruto or whoever

ADDENDUM YOU CAN MAKE OC CHARACTERS TO CANON WORLDS AND THEY ARE NOT BOUND BY THOSE RULES.. just saying

Kingdom Hearts in general is a story of the struggle between Light and Darkness. People with hearts often live in the light until they lose their hearts and fall into darkness then something interesting happens. Those with a strong enough will manifest an entirely independent physical form, their dark hearts become Heartless and their empty bodies become Nobodies. The truly fascinating thing about the two is that while independent they are still the same being, if they're both slain then the original person will be reborn with their heart and body in tact and memories from both independent entities merged into one. ANY character can go through this cycle of light and darkness but once they've done it a single time they can skip further trips through it. If you fall to the darkness you will be given a heartless and nobody equivalent to the strength of your character's heart, when you are reformed you will be back to normal but have special abilities unique to heartless and nobodies. In this rp entities that undergo this cycle will have their race changed to include a prefix of Reborn and then their race.
