General Information
Name:
Lucien Mortnoire
Identity:
Dead End
Gender:
Male
Age:
15
Date of Birth:
April 16th
Place of Origin:
Paris, France
Occupation:
Student
Faction:
Class 1-A
Appearance
Visual Appearance:
Physical Appearance:
Lucien’s body is always cold, with skin a sickly shade of grey and covered in stitches that are barely holding him together. His hair is pure white and his eyes are a muddy red. His nails are naturally black his teeth are the only part of him that are deadly strong and sharp. Aside from being a literal walking corpse, he isn’t too intimidated, clocking in at a fairly average 5”5 and being rather thin with just a bit of muscle to him.
Civilian Clothes:
Lucien calls his style “comfy goth.” He likes to dress like to play into his looks and wear dark, ripped up clothing that still fits nicely and is soft and warm. He LOVES warm clothing since he’s always a bit chilly.
Hero Outfit:
Dead End’s hero suit looks like a ghoul that just pull itself from the grave. He wears off-white, torn up pants and a black torn-up long sleeve shirt. His shoes are old, beat up combat boots where he has his four knives hidden (currently only blunt, wooden training knives). He also has a black blind fold made of see through material.
Personality
Bad Habits:
Puns. Everything is a pun. Lucien is not a serious person, even when he probably should be. Jokes are his favorite thing and he will often try to find comedy in any situation.
Goal:
Simple, become a hero.
General Personality:
While on the outside Lucien is all jokes, he gets fairly somber when left alone. This is because he actually fears it to a great degree. Not so much that one could call it a phobia per say, but enough that it can cause him some serious mental distress if he is alone for too long. He hides all his negative emotions behind a thick wall of laughter and cheesy comedy, but if one manages to break through it they would see someone equally as dark inside as his appearance outside. He has been through a lot throughout his life, but he wants desperately to push past it and make a name for himself.
Personal Life
Mother:
Amélie Mortnoire, Deceased, Quirk: Medium – Amélie could channel spirits of the dead into her body and allow them to control her for up to an hour at a time.
Father:
Claude Mortnoire, Deceased, Quirk: Blood Manipulation – Claude could control blood (think blood bending in Avatar)
Siblings:
Julien Mortnoire [29], Living, IT (works remotely), Quirk: Fear Factor – Julien can cause one person that he has recently touched to hallucinate their worst fear
Extended family:
N/A
History:
When Lucien was born with no heart beat and oddly colored skin, Amelie and Claude were not nearly as worried as the hospital staff. The Mortnoire family always had a love for the dark and macabre. They embraced the strange and unusual. They found joy in the numerous mysteries of the universe. So having an undead child was a joyous delight for the couple.
They did need to teach their children to tone it down when out and about so as not to frighten the average person too much. Julien had a bad tendency to cheerfully show people their worst nightmare and explain why it’s beautiful. Lucien, ever the prankster, loved to randomly remove body parts and scatter them in the park so his brother could play graverobber. It was adorable, sure, but not much so for the other people in their neighborhood.
When Lucien was six was when his mother fell deathly ill. Cancer overtook her body, starting in her throat and making its way through her heart and lungs despite the doctor’s best efforts. While they Mortnoire family celebrated death as a new beginning, the thought did not help fill the whole left when someone left them behind. It hit Lucien hard, but it his Julien and Claude harder. Lucien felt as though he needed to stay strong for his father and brother, and started amping up his comedic antics even more to keep the mood in the house as light undead as it always was.
Two years later, Claude would perish by being in the wrong place at the wrong time. He had been at the bank making a deposit when an armed robbery took place. The robber wasn’t fast enough to avoid the cops and instead took a hostage that he then shot when it didn’t work. The hostage was Claude Mortnoire. This left Lucien aching, sure, but it left Julien broken. The older of the boys became a shut in and a recluse, never leaving the house and only leaving his room to check on Lucien or eat. He went from joyously macabre to dark and truly miserable. However, he was the adult of the family now and he had responsibilities to Lucien. Luckily, he already had secured an amazing position with a large name international corporation in their IT department working remotely to keep their systems in order. It was a fantastic job for someone who loved technology and felt uncomfortable leaving his home.
While Julien took up the mantle of responsibilities to care for his brother physically, Lucien took up the responsibility of caring for his brother mentally. He became even more cheerful and jovial that he ever was before. It made Julien happy to see his kid brother so upbeat, and so Lucien would just remain as upbeat as he could. He hurt. Everything that had happened hurt so much. Seeing his brother reduced to such a dim shadow of himself killed him. But he kept his spirits high for the sake of his last family still within this life. And what better way to be a being of light in the dark, then to become a hero?
Lucien decided he had his sights set on UA when he finished middle school. He had learned a lot of hacking skills from his brother over the years and did all he could to combat the downsides of his quirk while using the positives to his advantage. When it came time for the entrance exam, Lucien did shockingly well by pulling himself apart and taking down robots while also being able to lend a hand (pun intended) to other applicants. Being able to dodge hits and act as a decoy while his hands crawled into the bots and pulled wires apart wasn't the most easy or honorable strategy, but it was the strategy that worked. Not to mention when he teamed up with 2 other student to be towards the end of the exam, one that put a barrier around his noggin and another who hurled his disembodied dome at break neck (heh heh) speeds straight through a 3 point bot that was about to thoroughly take out a downed kid. It was deemed that the one who actually THREW his head got the point for it, but he was fine with helping someone get... ahead of the game.
Julien had given a large, true smile for the first time since their father’s leaving of this plane when they got the acceptance letter. He applied for the same position as he had in France within the Japanese government, got the job, and like that the brothers moved to Musutafu together to see out Lucien’s new adventure.
Quirk
Name:
Zombie
Quirk Type:
Mutant
Power:
The user is a walking corpse. He feels no pain, has no blood, no beating heart, no need to breath, the only parts of his body that seem to be active are his brain and his digestive system. He can detach his body parts at will and they will move on their own, normally following the basic idea of what he wants them to do. If a body part is permanently lost it can grow back after forty-eight hours.
Supermoves:
N/A
Drawbacks:
While separated, the body parts of the user must stay within fifty feet of the brain to stay in contact and receive orders. Outside of that range they will drop and become nothing more than dead limbs. The only body parts that can see are the eyes, so without them any other part has to rely on orders from the brain to know where anything is at any given point. Also limbs without appendages have a hard time getting around. For example, if his torso is caught without any limbs it has to hop and hobble to try and move, or fall to its side and roll as opposed to hands which can crawl on the fingers. His body will also often fall apart at the joints with a relatively average amount of force. He has combat this by sewing zippers to the parts that detach the most often on their own, but it isn’t a perfect plan. He can still get sick and still ages, though slower than most. This means not feeling pain does have a slight downside, as he can’t tell if he is sick until it’s too late really. He also can die if he gets a fatal blow to the brain or stomach, since those are the two organs his body is fully reliant on. They are the two body parts he can’t lose and that will not grow back. If he loses one of them, he dies.
Fighting Style:
Lucien is slippery. If he has to get in a fight head on instead of acting as a planner in the background, he tends to stay on the defensive. He’ll dodge every move that comes at him and wait for the prime opportunity to strike.
