Physical Appearance: Ruby is only 5'2" but carries herself on a manner as if she is 6 feet tall. While powered up, her shoulder length brown hair and hazel eyes turn red. Her skin is normally more on the light side, her quirk turning her skin a bit darker. She is regarded as one of the more attractive members of her idol group, often butting heads with the perfect princess Dazzling Diamond. The official measurements given out by the Gemstones website from Paradigm before it was taken down were Bust 90cm (F-cup), Waist 59cm, Hips 87cm.

Hidden throughout the outfit are elastic cinches that when pulled taut allow the costume to tighten once Hinabi slips into it.

General Personality: While Hanabi has always been a bit of a tomboy, somewhat laid back and not caring about her appearance out of the public eye, she can easily adopt a more upbeat and slightly cutesy persona. She doesn’t like people getting in her way, especially during concerts, Hinabi won't hesitate to use her full power to be rid of an annoyance quickly. Her friends are her life, as one of the strongest among them she will put herself on the line to protect them. She has a slight perversion towards her fellow idols, often groping things and tugging on the edges of their costumes with the excuse shes checking if their guard is up. She doesn't kill people unless they're really evil or about to harm someone she cares about.

-Foreword-
Yeah so I got one of my simps who has a master's degree in literature write this, so it won't have my usual flavor of words. Enjoy learning about how I got started, don't forgot to check the dark web for my next concert.
-The Beginning-
Radiant Ruby, or rather Hanabi Ochida was born outside of metropolitan Tokyo. Her mother Hitomi was a performer at a night club, known by her stagename as Dazzler for the light shows she would put on during her performances. While Hitomi had been in the industry for a few years, she started in Highschool after being kicked out of her family home for hanging out with the wrong crowd. She had a small following among the club's patrons, some often paying for private shows which weren't typically offered by the business. Hitomi enjoyed the money too much to care, but it ended up leading to her being the favorite of a villain known as Tyrant. When her clientele thinned out from intimidation, Hitomi confronted Tyrant that she was just a working girl that needed money to survive. Seeing that she needed a change of scenery from a beat down club, Tyrant abducted Hitomi and installed her at his penthouse as one of his girls. While she expected to simply be a slave, she was in face bombarded with luxuries like a queen. She was tempted to try and make a run for it, but learned that none of the doors or windows were locked. Tyrant later confessed that he loved plucking flowers from the dirtiest parts of Tokyo and that Hitomi was part of his garden.
Other women who popped in every so often had at one point or another had been abducted themselves, but admitted that they were on the verge of either going homeless or selling their bodies for money. Tyrant helped them get on their feet and allowed them to hangout at his place whenever they wanted, even after they picked themselves up. He laid on the charm a bit heavy on Hitomi... and it worked. About a year into her stay, she had on more than one occasion shared a bed with Tyrant, the inevitable happened. But around the same time, Tyrant was in a serious beef with another villain that had been encroaching on his territory. He was honest with his baby momma, it wasn't going to end well, especially after two of his other girls ended up dead in alleys. Wanting to secure the future, Tyrant left Hitomi with instructions in the event of his inevitable death. Shortly after, there was a brutal gang fight in a nearby warehouse, everyone ended up dying when someone went practically nuclear with their explosive quirk. Hitomi knew what happened, Tyrant overloaded himself... taking out the problem in its entirety.
-A Star Is Born-
Hinabi was born a few months later, her mother having washed her past away using the money Tyrant's organization had accumulated. She scraped out a modest living in the suburbs, but was secretly living off of a multi billion yen account. Hinabi was also graced with having been aided by a housekeeper her mother hired, a mutant type named Aida who looked like an Oni. From a very young age, Hinabi's quirk manifest in various ways, sometimes as glimmers of light, the occasion glowing aura or something resembling her father's explosions. Hitomi indulged Hinabi, but made sure she was never spoiled. Among many things she got her into a private school for girls. While she was a model student, she often butted heads with some of the richer kids. It eventually came to an actual brawl one day in 4th grade, the princess of the school Yui Watanabe was pushing her around while her cronies joined in and kicked her. Out of anger and desperation, she was able to manifest her aura for the first time and detonated a weak burst of energy around her. While everyone ended up with bruises and all the girls in Yui's group pointed the fingers at Hinabi, a surveillance camera had caught the entire affray, embarrassing the princess. Yui was forced to formally apologize to Hinabi. Hitomi feeling awful that Hinabi had been mistreated, took her into the city for a shopping trip, a fateful encounter would occur.
Both mother and daughter caught the eye of a modeling agency recruiter, begging them both to come into her studio. Hitomi was hesitant, but it fired Hinabi up to have her pictures taken. What began as a simple test, became a fluke for them both. While Hitomi bowed out to mainly focus on her office career, wanting to stay out of the spotlight, Hinabi found herself ending up in fashion magazines and later taking part in ads for TV. It fueled a fire in her, one that would continue to grow as she hit puberty. As a teen she was a bit of a head turner, garnering even more attention, she broke through into acting a bit by the time she hit middle school, forcing her mother to move them closer to the city. One day when simply minding her own business singing to her tunes, a producer of the company's growing music department was awestruck and threw her into a recording booth. Hinabi was intially somewhat shy, not thinking much of her voice until the demo tape she recorded was being played during break from school a few months later.
-The Gemstones-
The company was forming an idol group, already having snagged a few up and coming stars for their Gemstones. Hinabi who was a powerful force and already on the company payroll was made into the group's leader, Radiant Ruby. It was there she encountered a few familiar faces, some from the internet but one in particular she already had history with... Yui or rather Dazzling Diamond would be her co-captain. (from this point on Hinabi is referred by Ruby) Ruby was surprised to say the least, but Diamond actually had talent and hadn't just bought her way into this career. They established a friendly rivalry, with some of the other members being caught in the crossfire of their occasional spats. The two stayed professional on stage and in the public eye, but were always one upping one another. It wasn't until their album Cover of Classical Anime exploded that their demeanors changed a bit, actually simmering to a jest here and there.
Despite their skyrocketing popularity, their parent company was struggling financially. Instead of being bought outright for a cheap price, various sections and assets were sold to the those coveting it. Unfortunately this included the idol division that the Gemstones belonged to. While most of the sales went to legitimate companies, they had been sold to the Paradigm Group, a shell company being used by a villain. The teenage girls were all brought to heel with explosive collars in order to make them slaves to their bidding. While their idol shows would still go on, all of them were put through brutal training regiments to toughen them up. Each of them had a quirk that benefitted not just the shows, but powers that could also be used to commit crimes. They were reluctant at first, being used to steal things, take out their enemies or even fight a hero who was on the company's trail.
-Shattered Gems-
While some of the others were starting to break under all the pressure, Ruby and Diamond had only grew hardened to their reality. Ruby had learned of her father Tyrant and his various actions many years ago, Diamond revealed that she was the daughter of a Yakuza boss so this wasn't much of a stretch. They would scheme during recording sessions on how to free themselves, waiting for the opportunity. Ruby had been experimenting with precision applications of her quirk, essentially a very focused release of energy like a laser. Diamond on the other hand had been personally building up their social media with livestreams and saucy photos of all the girls, building up quite the following so that she could charge her quirk up without relying on a concert. One night, they let the other girls in on their plan to be free. Ruby was the first and true test to see if they could be free, concentrating her quirk while Diamond who had gotten a bit of charge, ripped the device off and threw it into the night's sky.
As it exploded, it immediately alerted security, Diamond then ripped off her own device off. Emerald shrunk down to a chibi character as then Diamond prevented her device from matching the size change, then tossed it at the first responders to blow them away. Topaz flattened several of her wisps to act as a barrier between the device and her body before it was damaged by Ruby, the Wisps spirited it away into the next group of security. Sapphire used her water to slowly slice apart and weaken the outer casting using jets of high powered water from their pool before Diamond was able to simply snatch it off with ease and throw it into their mansion's pool. Amethyst would be the trickiest one as she didn't have quite the right power set to aid herself, Sapphire cut it up, Topaz shifted her wisps under and Ruby blasted the damaged lock.
Free of their shackles, the rest of the night was a bloodbath as they released years of pent up aggression. They had timed their event to coincide with a board meeting of the Paradigm Group, pure hubris in thinking that a bunch of little girls could ever cause them trouble especially with the bombs. However their meeting was darkened, the power cut as their skyscraper shook. Fog billowed out from the ventilation as raging torrents of water gushed up the stairwells and elevator shafts. By the time they realized what was going on, Ruby and Diamond personally introduced themselves as the emergency lights kicked in. Topaz had been sending her wisps to find and kill any security she happened to find while Emerald had taken over position of security at the front desk. They explained in no uncertain terms that the Paradigm Group was now under new management. While some of them attempted to fight back, the other ran in futility, encountering Amethyst's nightmarish scenes only for them to either run into Sapphire's rip current flooding out of the stairwells or having holes blasted in them by the swarm of Topaz's wisps.
-Solo Acts-
As for the future, the Gemstones broke up, at least for the time being. Some of them took a prolonged vacation out of the country. Diamond was taking over Paradigm as a young CEO, all while Ruby broke out as a solo act, promising the fans they were just on hiatus. After about a year, the heroes started to sniff around Ruby and some questionable changes in the company they had been monitoring. Everyone went underground, planning for what was next as their faces were posted online along with some rather nasty charges. Ruby wasn't unhindered and still revealed herself at her scheduled show after blasting it on social media. While some fans showed up, so did some heroes along with the police. After a small battle that was the talk of the internet as many had recorded it, Ruby had become an underground idol. Diamond managed to sell off the company in the meantime as they all sat down, trying to think of their future.
Quirk
Name: Energetic Aura
Quirk Type: Emitter
Power: Generates a field of energy from body, creating an aura around her body. The aura once fully manifested allows her to float around. By releasing excess energy in precise jets she can use this to accelerate herself or she can generate a controlled overload and release bursts of her energy as an attack.
Supermoves:
Flare: Instead of an actual attack, she creates floating signal flares using her energy with the purpose of illumination. While they can float around in the air for a few minutes before burning out, she can detonate an energy charge to launch them several hundred meters away. While she uses these for her shows, they can be obnoxious if shot at someone. (They are easily destroyed, usually breaking on impact with most objects)
Rapidfire: Instead of bringing an attack to full potential, she creates a machine gun like barrage, these attacks are about 5% of normal power. She can only maintain a barrage for 30 seconds as the heat it generates can burn her hands, meaning she will have to take a short respite in launching any attacks after maxing out her time.
Scatterblast: Instead of shooting off one of her standard attacks, she divides it into a few dozen pellets enclosed in her fist. When she releases the pressure, it explodes forward with some force like a shotgun. This pressure release also causes some recoil, preventing her from using it consecutively without being injured herself.
Guided Missile: A twohanded attack, Ruby generates and releases a burst of energy, but retains control to it by constantly weaving her energy into a connecting thread. She can then use this connection to guide the burst for approximately 500 meters, at which point maintaining the thread exceeds her energy production and it will act as a normal. Guided Missile unlike her normal attacks, can alter its speed, make sharp turns or even hold position. She will lose control of the energy burst if the fragile thread connecting it to her body is destroyed.
Mega Buster: This is either the first volley or a finishing attack as it requires a full minute to build up energy if airborne, half a minute if she is on the ground. Essentially this is a mega charge, this beast of an attack brings her aura to its limit if it already isn't, meaning that she could possibly short herself out if her power is not close to 100%. (This requires use of both of her hands)
Drawbacks: It takes 30 seconds (1 minute if she's predisposed with something like fighting or running) to build up a full charge from zero (either a cold start or using something like her Mega Buster), a visible red aura will fully envelope her body. Her aura can be disrupted by suffering either repeated attacks or strong enough force, disrupting her ability to reach her full potential and straining her generation for brief moment. While she can fly and fight at the same time, she cannot release an excess amount of energy such as going full speed and launching stronger attacks at the same time without risking her aura shorting out from strain. In the case of power strain, depending on her stamina and physical condition it may take more than a minute, in more severe cases she may even have to take a literal power nap or sleep to restore her power to its best potential.
Fighting Style: Hinabi tends not to leave anything to chance, mainly trying to deal with people at range. Her recent muscle gains aren't for show and she is fully capable of fighting someone without fully relying on her quirk to attack like some emitters are unable to do, being a black belt in taekwondo. When faced with an opponent focused on her, she will always make sure to watch out for her team and potential combo attacks.
