Shizo looked at how the others were doing... it must be nice having a physical enhancement quirk. You could still be flashy and powerful and it also wouldn't result in your parents training you by getting you struck by lightning. He knew perfectly well he wasn't going to be able to compare to the numbers they were putting out here, so he didn't even bother comparing himself to them.
First up was the long jump. Shizo's form was perfect, the result of countless hours of training with the punishment for messing up being severe. Unlike the superhuman classmates though he didn't clear the box entirely instead landing at 7.6 meters. Well above average for a male his age, and enough to probably bring home a medal in most non-quirked competitions for his age bracket... but still nothing compared to the insanity going on around him.
Next was the high hump, where he scored a solid 2 meters. It wasn't as impressive as his long jump was compared to his age bracket, but it was still solidly above average.
Shizo's best performance was on the 50 meter dash though. His body was built more for cardio and endurance type things than for the raw strength required of the jumps. He burst from the starting line in a blur, and a mere 5.55 seconds later he was done. As far as quirkless performance went, he was leagues ahead of the average 16 year old male.

As the agility assessments went on, Yoichi stood quietly among her other classmates and observed each one. Something her mother had taught her. Watch, listen, learn. Every quirk has strengths, and weaknesses. You need to figure out these details, because you are outmatched in any fight with an enhancing quirk. Yoichi watched with an intense expression. Koito's quirk gave him incredible mobility and speed. He could maneuver himself however he wanted, travel as far or as fast as he pleased. She noted, with a brief smirk, that his body couldn't handle it for too long. This had happened in the entrance exam, too. He wouldn't last in a war of attrition. Yann was incredibly quick, and looked like he could dart out of the way of trouble. Yet it seemed like this was a pay-off, for his small size and stature. Yoichi wondered if he was all speed, with the potential strength of a rabbit. How, she wondered, did he get points in the entrance exam? Karin's quirk was incredibly powerful, and Yoichi picked up her floating. Was it wind? Air? Speed and distance, but mobility could be an issue for the girl if it was something like a pressure canon. Could it be applied in combat as well? She assumed so, but Yoichi would need to see more of Karin in action to figure out where her weaknesses lay. Sicily was interesting. Her overall control over her serpentine hair was impressive, and they gave her an overall versatility that made Yoichi ponder. Were they all sentient? Or did Sicily simply have a good level of control over all of them? She wondered of their strength, and length. A tough one. Sicily could overwhelm an opponent with a hoard of snakes with what seemed like ease, and maneuvered herself expertly with them too. Not for the first time, Yoichi felt disappointed by Shizo. Hadn't he been wielding an insane lightning quirk in the exam? Here he was just acting normally, not using it at all. Was it some kind of fear holding him back? She thought back to his comments on the exam. Perhaps there was a mental block that stopped him from tapping into his full potential. Then her name was called. Youchi took a deep breath, stepping up to the mark. She wasn't worried. Calmness filled her like a lagoon, and she took a deep breath. Everything she had been put through, the long days and gruelling training, weeks on end of honing her body... she focused on the task ahead, positioned herself correctly, and... There was no way she could match the power of the quirk users, but Yoichi gave it her all. She had to, otherwise they'd leave her in the dust. She leapt like a coiled spring, muscles working in tandem across her body to fling herself forward. She landed, barely on the otherside, but the robot proclaimed her to have cleared the length of the box. Yoichi composed herself, not allowing her victory to make her cocky. The same followed with the high jump. 3.04m, a perfect execution for someone who had trained at this kind of thing relentlessly since she was a child. Yoichi didn't acknowledge the others afterwards, no sneers or gloating. Her whole being was focused on the task ahead. Finally it was the 50m dash. Yoichi was nimble, swift over short distances and with toned leg muscles. She was off like a flash, her whole force into her speed, crossing the finish line at 5:33 and coming to a skidding stop at the end. Out of breath and sweaty, she managed to rise to her fill composure, bowing to Doctor Brine and moving back into line. She passed Kachiya, delicately placing a hand on the girl's shoulder.
"Good luck. You've got this."
She stood back in line, purposefully positioned next to Shizo. Yoichi had seen him in the exam, seen what his quirk could do... but was confused, angered even, that he had done his trial so... normally.
"What was that about?" she hissed, sideways, glaring over at him without turning her head too much. "I saw what your quirk can do... and you're not even going to try? Don't you realise how insulting that is?"
Yoichi felt something weird inside her chest. Talking to Shizo in the most encouraging way she could muster gave her... it was warm, like heartburn, a tightness to her chest and a fluttering in her stomach. She tightened her jaw, staring straight ahead to watch Kachiya's turn.
"If you're not going to give it your all, then why are you here? Show us your true strength, idiot! I know you can do better!"

Kachiya watched as each of her classmates went. Slowly, her turn was coming and everyone was doing amazing. Shizo came over and comforted her to which she was thankful for but it still didnt change the fact that she was inferior to everyone here and now everyone was gonna see it. She was failing.
She was wringing her hands together, struggling to keep her breathing under control when she felt pressure on her shoulder and a feminine voice ringing through her ears.
Suddenly calm washed over her as she watched yoichi do her assessment. Perhaps she was right, all she had to do was do her best.
Soon, her turn came up and she had to step up to the plate and took a deep breath.
Long jump, high jump, dash... she got this.
Another breath and she looked across the long jump course and took several steps back, then sprinted and jumped.
"CLEARED, .6096 meters!"
She tuned the voice out, she didnt want to know how badly she did compared to the others. The high jump was next. Another deep breath as she prepared for the high jump
She crouched as low as she could and attempted the high jump which she did just slightly better at 1.02 meters. Still below average for her age bracket if only slightly.
Finally the dash... cardio had been apart of her routine so hopefully she could compare... this would be it for speed and agility. She would book it, going as fast as she could, until she finally crossed the finish line
"7.95 SECONDS"
She was out of breath and feeling like jelly but... she did it. She didnt know how to feel about it, it being somewhat bittersweet knowing she scored far lower than the rest of her classmates despite trying her best.
She had dragged herself towards Yoichi and Shizo offering them a faint smile, oblivious to the exchange between them
"Thanks guys... and good job out there"

After finishing her agility tests, Karin took the opportunity to take a breather and observe those that hadn’t already gone. Koito, the strange boy whose quirk seemed to defy physics, looked like he had better control over his direction than velocity, which checked out with his earlier antics in the classroom. Well, at least she wasn’t going to win every category, which honestly was a bit of relief for her. Karin didn’t catch Yann’s exercises, but figured he’d probably be pretty fast considering his rabbit-like genetics. Of particular interest to her was Sicily, the other mutant with snake hair, who had confronted her earlier before they had started. Her physicality seemed good, and the spring-like launches for the two jumping assessments were more or less what she expected, but her ground speed was fairly impressive.
Karin had gone over to the starting area to get some water for herself while waiting, but grabbed a second bottle after that showing and walked over to where Sicily had been temporarily sprawled out on the ground in exhaustion. “No such thing as overdoing it, remember?” Karin remarked, holding out the bottle of water with one hand.
There was no further explanation or comment, just another furtive smile as the pink-haired girl returned her attention to the other students. Some of these didn’t seem to have quirks that were able to assist them here, at least from what it looked like. Two of them looked to be in pretty decent physical shape, while the other appeared more pedestrian but still gave a good effort. Perhaps the other tests would give them a better chance to shine?

After a few seconds of refreshment (And deciding not to stay too close to the premises after witnessing Karin's launch), Yann chose to hop to the benches, although strangely opted to sit in front of them as opposed to on them, perhaps once he gets more comfortable around his class and the school altogether, he'll leap around the school instead of just weirdly walk up and down to places. Karin was somewhat incomprehensible to his eyes, he was certain that she would give him a detailed explanation if he requested one, but maybe at some other time. Sicily did things that he didn't expect she could do with the mass of snakes on her, Yann just wished he wasn't so scared of them. Snakes were so cool, why did he shiver so often when watching them in motion?
Shizo, Yoichi, and Kachiya would join him later, all with much more average results. Yann sat there, flicking the comb in his hand around, pondering as he worried , would an average result be considered a failing grade in this school of the extraordinary? Surely there was a purpose to investing in all this very fancy high-tech equipment other than making students with very immediately applicable quirks feel good. He snapped out of it as he heard Yoichi reprimand Shizo for not doing 'his best', Yann wasn't uh, as familiar with his quirk, but he did mention electricity, that sounded dangerous, perhaps that was the problem? He felt like he didn't have the gist of it.
"sIt's probably fine, right?", Yann approached the two, repeatedly opening and closing the butterfly comb in his hand in a perpetual, clicking motion. "It also pays to know that you're doing great without your Quirk, I think-uh I'm told it's quite important", he looked down and closed the balisong for a pause, attempting to be of reassurance with advice he got from his father that he could never put to use.

Shizo watched as the final results came in, Kachiya did ok for herself despite her anxiety. It was clear she wasn't in as great shape as some of the class but for a regular person she hardly did terrible. Yoichi meanwhile had edged him out in all three categories... which was to be expected really. She was lighter and more nimble than he was and had gone through similarly grueling training. With neither of them using their quirks to enhance themselves those results were within expectations.
Speaking of not using quirks though, Yoichi seemed to be angry at him for not using his? He wasn't even upset she was berating him, more confused than anything.
"My quirk doesn't enhance my body. It's got a lot of destructive power... but my quirk doesn't help me jump or run." Shizo said "all my physical training is to help my body handle my quirk better. Honestly I'm not even sure how I'd even attempt to use my quirk to enhance my body... I'm open to suggestions of things I could try if you have them."
Shizo glanced over to Yoichi, her expression and body language was a bit odd to him. It wasn't as... hostile as the other times she'd yelled at him? Was this her trying to be encouraging? He was going to choose to believe that. He was open to advice too, he wasn't arrogant enough to believe he knew everything or had no room to improve or learn. If he already knew everything about his quirk and all, he wouldn't need 3 years of classes to learn to use it better.
"I am giving it my all though. Despite the stuff I said in our first class, I'm plenty serious about doing well here. It just took the incident last week to really light a fire under my ass and get me back in gear" Shizo said, it was no secret that he'd recently had a run in with a villain, it had caused him to miss a day of classes while he recovered from the fight. He'd come back wrapped in bandages too. Since then he'd been more motivated than before, despite not yet having a clear vision for his end goal just yet.

Yoichi eyed Shizo with a scrutinous gaze. Then she held her hands out in front of her, palms open, concentrating.
"I've seen lightning strikes. It's powerful. They go... boom! I saw you blast robots into nothing. There must be something, kickback or recoil. Are you telling me you can't shoot lightning to propelled yourself forward? Or like..."
She made another exploding noise with her hands down, jumping slightly into the air. Then Yoichi folded her arms, perhaps slightly placated. She looked at Yann, frowning still.
"Perhaps. But in the real world, we're going to have to use our Quirks anyway we can. Kachiya and I are at a total disadvantage in this assessment. It irks me to see someone not using their full potential."
Yoichi looked again at Shizo, then let out a deep sigh.
"As long as you're giving it your all! N-not that I care about what you do, but 1-A has a reputation! We all have to do everything in our power to be the best."
Yoichi felt herself flustered. What was going on? Shizo and Yann were... talking normally with her!
"Anyway, this is wasting time. I need to get ready for the next tests. Don't distract me!"
Yoichi turned and stalked off a short distance, beginning to stretch out again with her back to the class. Ugh... don't lose focus! You have to concentrate on the task ahead!

Looking up to Karin, Sicily uttered a small chuckle and a smirk. No such thing as overdoing it. She snatched the bottle readily and popped the cap. She downed a good portion of it before exhaling and sticking up her nose. "I guess you do have a point." She exhaled irritably at the remark but also thoughtfully looked to Karin with something she didn't always give to people. Understanding. Why understanding? She wasn't sure. They didn't put her down or rub that did better in her face. They did their best, same as she. That was all she asked for. That was probably her best and she didn't feel insulted. They did their best as much as their Quirks would allow.
Then she looked to the others and expected a bit more from a few but some were bound by their limits. That one Yoichi certainly was lacking for all her bite but perhaps her Quirk was suited for agility.
Kachiya put a small smile on her face. Seeing someone like her try just gave Sicily a sense of hope. So earnest. Like someone she knew.
Yann's results seemed to catch the attention more of her snakes than she herself who expected those kinds of results. Why the snakes followed his movements so intently remained questionable...
Koito's results were...to be expected. His quirk had alot of usage in these kinds of tests.
The same could be said for Karin whose Quirk seemed to be made for agility in particular.
Shizo perplexed her to some degree but his explanation for his Quirk usage made a bit of sense to her ears. But she hoped to see some improvement or at least some better results in the next tests.
She had no words to personally give any of them besides Karin who she already said something to...and Kachiya whom she just simply gave a nod to and nothing else.

Koito was in complete bliss in this foamy substance. In fact, its cooling sensation and healing properties were enough to make him take a little nappy during the others' agility tests. With a nudge from Brine's foot, he sprang up ready for action. "Thanks! " The doctor would nod, and slip his jacket back on once Koito handed it back. "I don't want this to be a habit. Please take better care of your body. Also... Was that dash your max?" Above all else he wanted proper data. "Technically...I'm going to take better care of my body, as you said." Koito would just dodge the question. There was fast, and there was stupid. The quirk could defy physics, but that didn't mean a human body could survive everything the quirk was capable of. He needed to train his body more to handle those powerful shifts and stops. It was definitely possible, but not now. Koito would hop into a handstand, and walk his way over to the other kids. Yeah! His body seemed fine... refreshed. Brine would go ahead and rattle off the Agility rankings. Agility 1st Koito 4th Yann 7th Kachiya
2nd Karin 5th Yoichi
3rd Sicily 6th Shizo "Next up, we'll do an easy one. Strength! Sit ups, Push ups, and a Grip Test. " There was quite a few notes that he jotted down. He'd continue to take them for the whole assessment, and give them to Gigabite at the very end. With the clip board flipped to the strength page, he clicked his pen roughly 20 times, and waited for each student to begin. Each station had Radar robos keeping track of course. Once they were done, they could go ahead and take another breather. He'd add a little tid bit, before allowing them to start- "Oh yeah, this is to get you warmed up to break a cement block. It's not on the original test, but I'd like to see damage output as another testament of strength. You're only allowed ONE STRIKE."
OOC: For the Block Break. The scores are Clean Break, Partial Break, or No result. It's not some karate school block it's 5mx5mx5m _________________________________________________________IC: Koito had a strong core mainly as a safety measure to protect himself from his own quirk. So when it came to sit ups, he went a head and rattle them off with ease. He couldn't help but break a sweat though. This was going to take longer than expected. 125 sit ups. He'd lay there to recoup. He preferred planks and L sits when it came to ab work. It wasn't his exam so he couldn't pick the exercises... Next came push up. A smile reached across his face. "Now these, I can do forever if you let me use my quirk." His legs raised up to float, and just go through the motion of a push up without any of the work. All he had to do was keep both hands on the floor. He just kept pushing. And pushing. ...and pushing. At some point, he finally caught a sweat..., but kept pushing. And finally, he'd stop. Not because his arms gave out, but because he lost grip of the ground and began floating in the air. "Final- I mean 1,176" The robo declared enthusiastically with both hands up. The grip test came next. Which Koito felt pretty good about. He'd worked construction with his dad sometimes, and the rule was ' if you drop this on your feet, you'll never walk again.' Great rule, but what did that mean for his grip strength. "Not bad... thanks dad hehehe! Helping with construction paid off I guess." Koito never took one of these tests before. It was a handheld devise, where one just clamps down with all their might. His squeeze ran a score of, "192.4. " the robo declared. Lastly came the cement block, which admittedly, Koito wasn't sure how to approach at first. He could just point at it and send it flying but he was instructed to strike it. He'd vector arrows allowing his forearm to flow up his fist. He was sure that would bash into it and send it packing in one direction but, he wanted a really good break. No no no, a punch would still leave large chunks. The arrow on his arm would remain. He'd need it. "Ugh... I suggest everyone take like fifty feet back." Koito smiled. Of course he was going to do something crazy. He'd rub his chin. There was always that move... He based it on an anime he saw. A blonde haired kid packed all of his power into a rotating ball. Welp, now was the best time to try a super move than ever. He'd clasp both hands together and slowly pull them apart to reveal a wildly spinning ball of wildly different pointing vectors. He'd get in close, and turn his hips to exert as much force as he could into a driving uppercut. Both his fist and the ball would lodge into the block before sending it high into the air. The pivot ball would react to making contact and exert their forces from inside the block. The many different arrows would dig into it and quite literally rip it apart, sending tiny chunks of cement flying every. "Clean Break!" The radar robo exclaimed with its hands up.

Yoichi felt more in her element in this test. She struck the sit ups hard, focusing everything into pushing herself to her very limit. She stopped at 168, flopping backwards with a grunt of exhaustion. Taking a few moments to catch her breath, she flipped onto her front and powered into the next.
Yoichi's press-up game was on point, her years of intense training into her upper body strength meaning she hit 196 before collapsing, a panting sweaty mess. She might not have all the help of a quirk, but like the previous assessments, Yoichi had been doing these day-in and day-out since she gained her own quirk. As soon as her mother saw her potential to be moulded into the best Hero of her generation.
The strength grip was something she had thought about since the start. Perhaps... her quirk did have an advantage here. She braided a few strands into a rope-like braid, then knotted it it around the pressure grip in a classic constrictor knot. Yoichi placed the grip on the floor, stepping heavily on it, then took the other end of her hair in one hand, and...
Yoichi's hair was a quirk in itself, but until today she had just used it to craft arrows, as per her mother's training. For years, she had pondered other uses, only to have them shot down and stamped out. Your hair is only good for arrows! But what if...
Her hair, stronger than your average person, tightened. The knot constricted, and the pressure rose. Yoichi winced, bit kept going, feeling her hair reaching its breaking point... then removing it from the roots with a swift motion.
"898.3!"
She smiled to herself. Another step towards being her own kind of hero, and wielding this quirk how she wanted to!
The block break was the last test. Yoichi found herself thinking of Koito, to her disgust. He had tried a wild move with his quirk.. and his words the other day made her think. Ever tried braiding your hair?
She took several steps back, and twisted her hair again. This time she removed it earlier, coming away with what looked like a streamline drill, an arrow with a corkscrew head. Yoichi brought out her longbow with a snap, aimed it at the centre of the block, and... released!
The arrows thundered through the air, rotating viciously as it went. It hit the concrete block and went right through, then through the robot behind, and finishing several inches into the wall a few dozen feet behind. There was no "Cleared" from the robot, which had collapsed after being expertly skewered right through.
Yoichi breathed out, bowed to Doctor Brine and returned to the others. She made eye contact with Shizo as she passed.
"Think outside the box."
Yoichi stood next to Kachiya again, turning her head to her.
"I didn't say before, but... don't let the first round get to you. You'll do well this time. Hey, did you realise that the robot holding the block has a glass eye? It's reflective enough that I could watch myself prepare for the test."
She turned back to watch the next student step up, a small smile on her lips as she did so.

This next set of tests was right up Shizo's alley. The first test was the sit ups, a pure endurance challenge. Now HERE he could really shine, quirk or no quirk. He couldn't compare to Koito obviously, the dude's quirk was basically cheating for this. But he was confident he'd beat out non-quirked performances on this exercise with ease. He went at a steady pace once he started, knowing if he went too fast he'd burn out and get cut short once he slowed back down, but going too slow and he'd let the lactic acid build up for too long.
After seeing how far Yoichi had pushed herself for this, and acknowledging her attempts to encourage him and Kachiya, Shizo gave his all for this test, eventually collapsing at 234.
Next was the grip test... he saw Yoichi's idea with her hair. Interesting... thinking outside the box huh? He thought back to his training and everything he'd done with his quirk, searching for inspiration. Unbidden the memory of the training accident came to mind, the lightning striking him, the searing pain as his quirk overloaded, his muscles contractin.... THAT WAS IT.
Grabbing the gripper Shizo forced himself to calm down after nearly dropping into a traumatic flashback, then channeled electricity into his hand muscles, forcing them to contract harder than he could normally grab. His grip strength was pretty good to begin with, and electrical stimulation could override the body's normal limitations when it came to muscle contraction. Part of why people got sent flying after electrocutions sometimes was because of their muscle spasms launching them away, if he could do a controlled version of that... Brine was gonna need to heal his hand after but
"294.2!"
It hurt like hell now that he was done, but he'd put out a grip strength multiple times stronger than his normal best of around 55-ish. He'd get healing from Brine before the next test though... he kinda needed that hand to do this. He'd nod to Yoichi as he took his place and waited for the next test to begin, that should satisfy her, even if his number didn't compare to hers he'd clearly at least used his quirk effectively to help him.
Next was the concrete blocks, Shizo immediately recognized what Koito had done the moment he saw it. He'd seen that show too! And there was some serious irony in seeing Koito reference it... because Shizo had actually planned to do so as well... sort of.
Stepping up to the block, Shizo had a solid gameplan here. Concrete had a high water content, even once solidified he could use that to his advantage.
"Might wanna step back for this one too, if it works like I'm planning things might get a bit explode-y here" Shizo warned
He was taking inspiration from the same show as Koito, but from the rival character. Concentrating all his lightning into a single point to dramatically increase it's piercing ability. Only problem was he couldn't do this without displaying it outwardly... which meant his phobia would act up. But he had a very simple solution! He just squeezed his eyes shut as tight as he could after lining up his strike. It probably looked ridiculous, his hand enveloped with an incredible amount of energy... and him with his eyes squeezed shut and shaking like a leaf in a storm.
His hand thrust forward, his eyes being closed made his aim slightly off center, but it didn't end up mattering as the lightning broke down the concrete and let him ram his hand fully into the block... then he released all that compressed energy inside the block
"Partial bre-GAH" the robot began to say, but then much like Yoichi's bot it was cut off by a sudden onset case of death as the concrete block exploded violently into chunks of rubble and crackling lighting bolts in a brilliant show of destructive power and an odd sort of beauty as the bolts danced between the flying chunks, breaking them down further.
The show was dampened as once everything settled Shizo fell to his knees and dry-heaved, clutching his arms and looking like he was in pain. The moment didn't last too long before he was able to at least wave off attempts to heal him. "I'm not hurt... just... flashbacks." he'd explain briefly before returning to his waiting spot. Anyone watching would see he was still rubbing his arms like they ached and that he seemed to be trying to force himself to breathe slowly... clearly he had some mental hangups about his quirk that needed working through.

The rabbit giggled slightly as Yoichi sought to channel this indignation into a motivation, though he shrunk a bit as she demanded her space back, stepping back and quietly closing and putting away his comb with both hands.
Yann understood the academic necesity of these tests, but it seemed rude to just put up as a scoreboard that implied winners or losers. It also didn't help that he more or less was going to bottom at least two of these tests, it was fine, probably, it wasn't like they were going to send the rabbit home for having a rabbit's strength, even if the tree-climbing analogy was starting to look more and more real as Doctor (Nurse(?)) Brine added a rather exotic test just because. Koito made a swift recovery, and kind of trivialized the rules for a moment, before resuming to stare down the concrete block and conjure some sort of physics defying contraption in the palm of his hand. As the block was obliterated into shreds, Yann inched to the right, lowered his head, and covered his eyes with his ears as the bulk of the debris whizzed past him, prompting him to sigh as he retreived his comb to clean his ears again. Yoichi looked like she had the motions down to a science, despite clearly being worn at the end of it, and wielded her hair with both might and precision, the school's budget must be extensive for them to put these robots into harm's way so easily. When Yann watched the sparks fly from Shizo's hand, he slowly went for his comb as he blankly stared at the destructive attack, but it had the decency to destroy the cube in one direction as opposed to every one. Welp, he was next, Yann put his comb away and moved in.
Sit ups were a hindrance, less so in that they were particularly taxing to him, but the shape of his (hind?)legs meant he couldn't plant his feet as firmly from the position that was required of an excercise designed for the greater denominator, causing him to struggle to keep himself grounded more than what he did with pulling himself up, which is why the rabbit wasn't tired by the time the clock ticked out, just frustrated as the machine proctors refused to count some of his sit ups for a minor slip. Push ups were the opposite, for the same reason. The motion was more or less a bend or so away from his usual natural sprint, and he moved up and down with such ease that he weaved some hop claps in as he upped the speed, he felt more refreshed than he was weary. It was, unfortunately, only getting worse from here.
Yann took the test device that was definitely not fit for his hand, whining as he looked upwards. He faced away from all his classmates and huddled down, it had some give to it, so hidding away from everyone's gaze, he put it in his teeth and chewed down until the bells in his head told him to stop for his own sake. It was unsightly and it sored him ever so slightly, but it for sure gave him a somewhat reasonable looking score, and if he talked any funny for this stint he could just shrug it off as his accent. The concrete block dwarved him even more. Even considering the fleeting distant thought of making an earnest attempt at punching the block caused every alarm in his body to quake in terror. Yann harrumphed with a disinterested squint, sitting down in front of the slab, hopping towards it to bounce off of it with another hop, then retreating back to sitting in front of the benches as the robot announced "No Result!" with inversely proportional enthusiasm.

The moment the strength tests were announced, Sicily's entire demeanor went from being analytical to assured. Her straightened posture came with a swagger followed then by a focused willful look on her face as she readied herself for the first strength portion.
Sit ups were the first and Sicily managed to do them quite often. She laid her head on the ground then crossed her arms in an X on her chest then her snakes went to work. They steadily arced themselves then began to lift her then lower her repeatedly. it didn't seem like she would stop but anyone could see how focused she was as this quirk was more than meets the eye. Able to control them as she did, she could get in this muscular work for her abdominal region. She had to conserve energy for the push-ups but if she didn't do her best, she'd be contradicting her own self. By the time she hit her limit and her middle ached, she heard the bot declare "383" It wasn't that her snakes were exhausted but her middle ached enough for her to cease.
Push-ups were something she didn't need to use anything but her snakes for. The twins easily slid down beneath Sicily as she laid flat chin-first on the floor. Then the snakes on her hair eagerly faced the ground then pushed Sicily up. The twins laid at either side as "legs" while Sicily herself remained as she did on the ground with her legs straight out. In essence, Sicily was as rigid as a board with her hands flat on the ground No part of her was doing any work besides her own Quirk and was completely supported by each snake working together. The two working as a "stand" ocassionally shifting as a couple snakes remained on her head that would take turns or rather "shifts" to take over when one set got exhausted then traded back in. In short, Sicily could do this so long as she could keep herself aloft and her hands firmly on the ground. It was more like this was training for the snakes themselves rather than the Quirk user. She faced forward for every rep that was done with a focused, unyielding expression. She looked to the bot and flatly said "I could do this all day if need be. Call it and I'll stop wasting time for the others." The bot declared after a bit of hesitancy "I-Infinity!"
Now was the grip test and this was the one she looked forward to seeing the results of. It had been awhile since she did one of these. SHe had trained herbody alot since then so now it was time to see how those results manifested. She saw the device in question and picked it up with the twins AVernus and Stella. They coiled around it while other snakes joined in as much as they could fit. When enough had coiled around it, Sicily's eyes contracted as she uttered a hefty grunt of effort. The snakes, all of them, suddenly constricted extremely tightly. As tightly as they could muster under Sicily's influence. It took little less than a moment for the results to measure. Her entire body shook as she looked sternly at the device which would readout at "1,328"
She looked quite satisfied with herself as she knew her previous result the last time she did this in her free time was not quite as strong as this. She she WAS improving at least.
Finally, the cement block. She approached it as candidly as could be. She examined it then proceeded to walk away from it. "This thing is pretty thick. No way I could break this..." she looked to be completely turning her back on this part of the exam...until she turned around. "...without testing something I've been working on." Her snake hair extended to its limit followed by the twin snakes draping behind her like a curtain. She had dealt with the bots in the exams before pretty handily. But now she got to really test her strength in this. She stared at the block as she slowly drew toward it. In the meantime, her snakes slithered upward as if becoming a singular entity as it rose into the air. Her eyes became sharp and they could almost glow with the intensity she was putting into them. She got closer and closer, picking up speed then raised her head up, the mass following as she did. She then jerked her head a little to the left and rotated it before finally bringing it down as she took a long step backward into the air. The mass then fell upon the block full force, putting the full force of her entire quirk into this singular strike. The dust and dirt upturned into a rushing cloud that billowed outward from the impact.
The cement block had been obliterated. Small chunks remained still settling but it had been "CLEAN BREAK!"
"Ophiuchus Crash" she stated, the snakes now returning to their original shapes in her hair as she tossed it back. "Of course it was a clean break." she said as much in a matter-of-factly way. She took a deep breath then exhaled with what sounded like a small hiss at the end. She found a seat to take to then observe the remaining class. SHe had hopefully enforced her strength in 1A.

Karin narrowed her eyes as she mapped out her plan for this section. It seemed like the sit-up and push-up assessments were pure endurance tests, which struck her as odd, inefficient, and in poor organization to have such things in the middle of the list of activities, with more still to come. Endurance testing was typically done on separate days from other athletic exams to retain the maximum strength of the testers, but here it seemed they were going to get them all done regardless. The other two tests for this section... well, she'd let her results speak for themselves.
Sit-ups were first, so she prepared a comfortable spot to lie down on, assuming a proper form with knees angled appropriately. Rather than speed, control was the name of the game here. With years of training and experience in a military setting, simple exercises like these were not only expected, but a relief. The goal, however, was to exhaust her stamina as efficiently and completely as possible. Rushing would do no good here. Breathing in and out at a constant, steady pace of 120bpm, she would synchronize her breathing with her movement for as long as her body would allow her to. In, out. In, out. Up, down. Up, down. Karin's steadiness and almost robotic efficiency and timing mimicked that of a windshield wiper as she cranked out one per second, unceasingly, unerring. Yet, at a certain point, Karin suddenly transitioned to a slower tempo to compensate for her dwindling stamina, allowing her to retain her form and tempo even through her tiredness. Several more minutes passed, and sweat was visible as the girl's expression was the definition of concentration, but when her strength was about to expire, Karin made a final push and was able to eke out about a dozen more before falling still on the ground, save for the rising and falling of her chest. She turned her head to the robot who had been waiting in attendance, eyes expectantly awaiting her answer. It had seemed mesmerized by her metronome-like motion, but quickly exclaimed "341!" at suddenly being the focus of the girl's attention.
Peeling herself off the ground, Karin returned to the starting area to drink some water and rest up for a while before beginning her push-up assessment. This would be performed in a similar manner, where Karin's breathing would provide a steady beat to synchronize her motions to. She was capable of doing a great number of these on her own, aided by an unlikely trait on top of her extensive training: Karin actually weighed less than 100 lbs. The act of pushing herself up would not be very straining compared to her disproportionate physical strength. But, like with the sit-ups, she began her assessment with a machine-like cadence of one repetition per second, for minutes on end. Compared to the sit-ups though, a full repetition of a push-up requiring proper form and angles was more physically demanding, so her transition to a slower tempo to adjust for her draining stamina came sooner than the previous test. It would not do to slow down gradually, any sign of breaking or weakness could cause the body to relent further, so it was important for her to stick to the tempo she had set. After collapsing onto the ground, the robot declared her score of "312!"
Again, rehydration and a break to give her time to herself to breathe and recover. The next two assessments did not require any endurance though, so Karin was ready for the grip test in short order. However, by this time, most of the students had already finished all of their tests, so she had to just wrap it up here. Of all ten subject areas, this would be her strongest. The nature of Karin's quirk in that her Wind Shroud served as an extended replica of her own body allowed her to put the full power of her quirk into this test, rather than trying to makeshift its force like with her dashes or jumps. She walked up to the grip test assessment, stopping several meters short of it, and made a motion to pick it up. Her hand was empty, of course, as the testing device hovered in the air, held by an invisible force. Karin pondered its composition for a few moments before nodding to herself and smiling. "Right, here we go." Immediately, the smile vanished from her face as her eyes took on a cold, dead stare that could pierce through the hearts of anyone caught in it. Those sensitive to emotions and any of the assessment proctors with field experience would suddenly feel a massively oppressive wave of killing intent surge from the pink-haired girl. This task was as simple as crushing the head of her assassination target like a ripe tomato. The force applied was no different. Abruptly tightening her outstretched hand into a closed fist, the testing device crumpled into an indistinguishable piece of metal about the size of a mangled coin. She didn't have any object in her own hand, the pressurized air would not feel the difference either. Grinding her fingers back and forth for good measure, when Karin let go, the debris of what used to be the testing device scattered in the light breeze as it fell to the ground. Still with an expression void of emotion, Karin's gaze settled on the attendant robot, which froze for a moment out of fear before stammering a confused "...Destroyed?"
Making her way over to the cement block, Karin's head tilted backwards to take in its size. It was quite impressive, but fortunately, it was just shy of the expansion width of her quirk, so she'd be able to strike the entire surface of the block in one go without missing a part of it. Giving the test some thought, however, a punch or kick was probably not the ideal method of breaking, as it would provide some room for the rear side of the block to break in less complete destruction than she would have preferred. So, striking simultaneously from both sides would probably be the way to go here. There was a certain sumo technique called 'nekodamashi', wherein the wrestler would suddenly reach out in front of himself and clap his hands together. On its own, it was a distraction tactic used to break the opponent's concentration, rather than being an actual attack. But here, Karin's wind shroud could use it to crush the cement block from both sides at once. Preparing her quirk, she allowed her enveloped arms to expand to its full size. Then, she began to cycle the air within the shroud, causing it to rapidly circulate with a heavy gyroscopic rotation. Ordinarily, Karin used this technique in combination with a strong punch or kick to blow away opponents, but instead, it would allow her to completely grind away the cement block. Swinging her outstretched arms together, the sound of her clap would hardly be audible over the sudden erosion of the large cement block from both the left and right. In an instant, there was nothing but a mess of tiny rubble on the ground. "Clean break!" Dispelling her shroud, Karin walked up to where the cement block used to be, crouching down to pick up a small piece. It almost looked like a spill of chocolate chips, if chocolate was gray. Karin smiled to herself with a small little "Hmhm~!" of satisfaction as she returned to the starting area to sit down.

Kachiya watched nervously as everyone else continued with the assessments. At least she wasnt the only one struggling, watching as Yann had ran away from the block break. Still, most of her classmates had absurdly high numbers and she wasnt going to dent that block at all!
Then, yoichi came to join her, giving her words of encouragement and... some advice. It was really good advice and it got Kachiya thinking and suddenly she had a burst in confidence. She might not get the push up, sit up and grip test results her classmates did but.... she could have comparable results in the concrete breaking test.
She gave yoichi a smile and a nod as she stepped up and took a deep breath. Sit ups and push ups were apart of her training regime, giving her a higher score.
She managed to do 45 push ups and 50 situps of which were her personal bests so... there was that at least, and the grip test was a bit weak at 37 pounds. Plenty of room for improvement there then came the concrete.
She stood a bit off to the side, giving herself a view of the robots eyes... they were very shiny. Yoichi was right! She cleared her throat and then took a deep breath, and let out a high pitch scream, slowly going into a lower pitch. The result was a crack down the middle of the concrete that went almost all the way through that originated from a snall hole, like the concrete was struck by a powerful laser beam.
She had stopped, out of breath somewhat disappointed in the results but she still did some damage!
partial break!
The bot had called out but it was in that moment that the two halves of the concrete started to fall down, it split right down the middle. As the concrete hit the ground, it would break into dust and pebbles, leaving kachiya wide eyed as she returned to her classmates as the robot called out
clean break!
Maybe she was cut out for this after all!
