OOC: Source Thread- coloholics.boards.net/thread/266/signal-flare-shinja-tanzo?page=4&scrollTo=1927_________________________IC: The truck veered but would find itself back onto the road after the bomb went off. "Lights! We're a fucking target with all that red and blue." Good thinking... The officer would shut the lights off and slow the truck a bit, making a swift turn toward another back road. They were already in the countryside. With nothing but open spacing until they got closer to the woods, driving directly through town would only bring citizens more danger. If this kid was a target of these bombings they'd have to get him away from as many bystanders as possible. The roaring engine could be heard closing in, swerving left and right whilst overhead. It was if it were searching. With blowing up the house and Jet along with it, it was clear team air raid knew the heroes were in town, and were making their move. "What the hell? How do we shake em?" The officer snarled. Pulling a nother sharp turn. The truck wouldn't react well, but caught control, the screeching of grippy tires saving the vehicle from tipping over. "Well if we might die, let's not be rude. I'm Anderson, and my partner here is Walker." He whipped the steering wheel back straight. They were getting closer to the trees, a good sign! They could shake it in this low visibility. The issue was, they were going to need the lights... This road was going to lead toward more mountain roads and things were going to get... windy. "You wouldn't happen to have anything to down that thing would ya?" Anderson asked Tanzo They had put all of the heavier artillery in a neighbor squad car when they cleared up room for the high schooler. "I'm gonna have to at least put my head lights back on, or a tree will kill us before that thing..." Walker said with a worried tone.

Tanzo cursed as the raid began. He didn't think these villains would be so bold as to attack them while the police were here. They must really not want the Aeronaut incident looked into if they were going to openly bomb law enforcement. He was even more concerned about how they'd gotten separated from Shinja. Between the two of them she was probably the one they wanted dead more. Even if they shook this assailant it might just go after her instead! It had to be taken down.
"If I can get it in my sights I can use my quirk against it" Tanzo said to Anderson "the low visibility is a double edged sword though. It can't take clean shots at us, but that's keeping me from getting good shots at it too. And if I start firing just based on the sound it'll give it our exact location. The light from the molten metal before it cooled into bullets would be like a muzzle flash. If I'm going to start shooting back we need a way to make it count"
In the meantime Tanzo would prep the metal inside him for use, he couldn't risk forging anything while they were out in the open, the light would give them away too soon. But once they had some tree cover he could risk forging some armor plating for the truck to protect them... but Walker mentioned he'd need to turn the headlights on, which would give them away anyway.
"Alright, I'm going to create armor for this vehicle, should keep you two safe from bullets and the like for at least a bit. It's going to make light though, so I'm going to do it at the same time you flip on the headlights. If we're going to be revealed either way I might as well." Tanzo said, and he'd do just that. Forging metal plating that fused to the truck around them. It wouldn't hold up if they got directly hit by a bomb, but it would at least resist gunfire for a bit so long as they didn't take sustained fire

Anderson flicked on the headlights to try and fight through the dense fog. In this forest, visibility was everything. Yeah it would give them away, but hitting a tree or boulder would possibly fair worse. This storm was hell, wasn't it supposed to be chilly. Why was it so warm? Walker looked at Tanzo as he explained a game plan. Armor huh? Quite the upgrade for their truck. The roar of the planes engine seemed close. Bullets peppered the trees around them before finally honing in and plinking against the metallic additions Tanzo added. The gunfire would rumble before backing off, likely to cycle ammo. It's engine roaroed as it ripped through the fog overhead and took the lead.
"It's not like we can go any faster. Not in this wet terrain." Anderson grumbled. He'd hit the breaks, pulling the car offroad and into the brush. He knew these paths like the back of his hand. The plane would lull, confused where its target went, searching for the those headlights in this fog. It was much clearer to see now that it was exposed like this. It was a small plane, but if was packing a mighty nice turret and a few more bombs readied on it's underbelly. The path would open up and allow the car up a hilly road. Looks like they were going to scale the mountain, but it DID give a clear shot. "Think you can handle it kid?" Walker, swung half his body out of the window with his gun ready. "I'll fire on your mark."

Tanzo took a good long look at the plane. They were going to have clean shots against it for now. But once they were on the mountain side those bombs were going to be a huge problem. Tanzo could make armor to stop the gun turret, but he wouldn't be able to do much if a bomb knocked the path out in front of them and they fell to their deaths... or a bomb above them caused a rock slide to achieve the same effect. In that case he just needed to disable the bombs... or better yet...
Tanzo would forge a sort of tripod for his arm, helping steady his aim, he'd only get to try this once before the pilot wised up to his scheme most likely. Even if he got more chances to attack it later it would probably be ready for this... but so long as they had the element of surprise just this once.
"Aim for those bombs on the underbelly. We're taking this thing out before it realizes where we are again." Tanzo said as he leveled his arm and took aim, smelting the metal in him and readying it for launch... but he'd take a moment to superheat it even further, so that it would remain red hot even after taking shape and solidifying for a bit "Three... two... one... NOW"
Tanzo fired a barrage of small blobs of molten metal, in midair they'd take shape and begin cooling, forming into the shape of high caliber armor piercing bullets, the rears of them in particular still glowing hot even as the tips solidified enough to pierce the casings of the bombs. The combination of the impact and the heat from the recently cooled metal would be enough to detonate the bombs while they were still attached to the plane, presumably taking the thing out entirely. If nothing else though it would disable them, and probably do some damage to the wings thanks to the high caliber he was using to tear through them with

Both officers would look to Tanzo as he explained his plans. As they drove up this hill, there was a road leading right toward the mountain. On the side of the vehicle, exposed rock and even melting slush dribbled down from the snowy caps. The fog was a lot less prominent as they climbed in altitude, making Tanzo's shot even easier. The plane flew above them, only adjusting for the turbulence of the storm, but was doing a fine job of tracking the car without the brush obstructing the view.
"Aim for those bombs on the underbelly. We're taking this thing out before it realizes where we are again." Tanzo said as he leveled his arm and took aim, smelting the metal in him and readying it for launch... but he'd take a moment to superheat it even further, so that it would remain red hot even after taking shape and solidifying for a bit "Three... two... one... NOW"
"Quite the plan indeed." An unfamiliar voice came from the comms unit within the car. As the hero counted down, Walker holstered his gun and slid right back into the car with a smirk on his face. Anderson would slam on the breaks as the young hero said one, and killed the timing of Tanzo's launch. The molten projectiles whizzed by the plane, it would casually roll itself upside down to expose just what was happening. In the cockpit, there was no pilot, only a large eyeball looking right at Tanzo. "Now may I ask... Can we put this charade to rest? I don't know how long Anderson and Walker plan on playing pretend with you, but I have no such patience."
Walker slowed the car down as their ride was now going on an off-road adventure. The plane would adjust its boosters and try to ride drafting air to keep the conversation going. Walker would actually chime in. "Err... yeah, kid, I wouldn't try a 3 on 1 situation if I were you. We're getting pretty close to base, so the numbers are just going to get more skewed in our favor. If you could do us the favor of just passing us your phone." Anderson looked back at Tanzo, an expression totally different from the jovial one before. Walker would continue, "Seeing how you can smelt things, cuffing you would be pointless. We're just gonna ask for you just be compliant so we don't have to hurt you. We aren't even targeting you specifically."
Anderson glared at Walker for saying too much. Well, it didn't really matter. The plan was already off the rails, what was another thing. "We have specific targets. We didn't mean for the the other girl to get blown to bits with Ace, but he was a problem that had to go anyway... Fucking traitor. " There was a clear gap in their info. Both vigilantes fled the scene before cops made it, and well before Jet's home got bombed. This meant help wasn't far. The only issue was, Shinja's situation was still a mystery. The other glaring issue... What did Team Air Raid have in store?

Tanzo looked to the two not-police officers with an alarming lack of alarm. Just plain exasperation, clearly he was unsurprised by the betrayal. And what was more, he looked like he was just... done with this.
"you know for once I'd love to actually just be paranoid and have my trying to be optimistic not be a waste of time and energy. Every time I give someone the benefit of the doubt, or try to be nice. You all just keep making it bite me in the ass. It's exhausting." Tanzo said with a long sigh "and I'd love to believe that if I just play along with you then me and my friend can walk out of this unscathed. But I think we all know that's a load of BS. Even if you aren't lying and we aren't your target, I rather doubt you're going to let witnesses who've seen your faces walk away. So As your eyeball friend said..."
Tanzo would hop off the truck as his shirt caught fire and burned away, as did his pants moments after that, revealing he had more nozzles to release metal than just the ones on his hands, and he was using all of them to coat himself in armor. That combined with his natural resistance to bullets would make even the plane's turret have a hard time taking him down quickly. The tradeoff of course was that he'd overheat sooner, but he didn't intend to stick around for a drawn out fight here.
"let's put the charade to rest. I don't have the patience left for it anymore." Tanzo said coldly as he grabbed the truck he'd just exited and hurled it at the plane... with Walker and Anderson still inside if they didn't get out in time.
He wouldn't stick around to let the plane recover if it dodged and let it go to town on him, or to find out the quirks of the traitors. He had nothing to fear from their handguns with his natural armor and added forged armor, but who knew what else they could do. Instead he'd jump off the path and go sliding down the mountain back towards the forested area, intending to lose them in the storm. He was big and hardly stealthy, but with such poor visibility and that much cover even he could make a getaway, or at least force these three to fan out to pinpoint his location so he could take them down individually
While sliding Tanzo would use his phone to send out an group text to his allies, keeping it concise but making some typos as he was multitasking and typing with one finger here "Policee = villainsfsd runn." along with his location at the moment of sending

"Why do heroes always have to do things the hard way?" Walker turned to Anderson with an annoyed expression. As Tanzo bailed out of the truck, so did the duo. Their leader would give a parting word. "I'll give you a 1 minute headstart..." Would be the last of the mysterious voice heard from the truck's comms unit before it was lobbed at the plane. In response the engines roared and the aircraft would scale up and way. Lighting crashed into the truck in hopes of taking the plane with it, a long ranged gift from a friend trying to catch up. The plane was chipped up, but not so damaged that it couldn't continue on. It'd burst into the skies with some speed, and make a round to turn back towards the mountain itself. "YESSIR!" Both "officers" had charged down the mountain in response. They were nimble and well-trained. In fact, they were running and jumping down with a distinct level of urgency, as if they know something was coming. And something WAS coming. They knew the mountainside like the back of their hand. They'd split up and fire off rounds with their quirks. Beams of lights would light up the sky, and gift any large mass in this storm with a bigger-than-normal shadow. Walker adjusted and fired two beams from his gun. They'd pierce and knock down the nearest tree to Tanzo. The flash of light would allow Anderson to catch a better glimpse and aim more shots overhead in a large curving arc. "I see him. Another arc, fix your aim by a few degrees!" It was as if they weren't actually aiming for him, just doing enough to keep a proper eye on his quick descent and path. "Further down!" Anderson called out before his brother fired more beams. Walker would send another volley of light that would cross with Anderson's volley. The two had been "hunters" with Team Air Raid for a long time. They didn't need comms to communicate with the baron's aircraft. They just needed it to understand where to aim. Their crossing volleys of light would illuminate the dark stormy sky once more, this time with the roar of the plane's engine present. It was as if all of their efforts were saying "aim here" or "apply pressure this way." With the plane making a lap, it would dive down the mountainside and send bullets down to pepper right through the man-made crosshair the duo made.Name: Walker Quirk: Trick Shot The user can conjure beams of light that can follow specific curves and projectile paths. Name: Anderson Quirk: Trick Shot The user can conjure beams of light that can follow specific curves and projectile paths.

Tanzo internally groaned as the beams of light began arcing around, one of them knocking a tree down next to him. What a hassle. But if they weren't attacking him directly with the beams then they must not have had the firepower to try and take him down directly. Either that or they were just deferring to the plane's firepower... speaking of which.
"Cocky bastards are taking me too lightly. Now that I know there's nobody in that plane I don't have to hold back" Tanzo said under his breath as the crosshair of light beams formed above him. This worked perfectly for him actually, sure it lit up his location for the plane to make another pass but that cut both ways.
The plane would make it's pass as Tanzo forged a shield over one arm for the extra layer of defense, but more importantly he grabbed the tree the earlier shot had knocked down and hurled it like a javelin right at the plane. The crosshair illuminated it as well as telegraphed the angle of attack, along with the noise of the plane itself, and a large projectile like the tree moving directly at it would be extremely hard to dodge, even if the trunk didn't hit the branches could definitely still muck things up. If he could take the plane out he could handle the other two without much trouble so long as they weren't holding out on him in terms of firepower.
Tanzo would eat another metal pod from his gauntlets, this time taking one of his titanium pods... this was becoming an expensive trip... maybe he'd eat their truck and plane later and make some pods out of those. He didn't actually have money issues anymore... he'd just do it out of spite more than anything.

The plane would actually welcome the projectile, and dive at an adjusted angle. The tree would bore right through the plane's left wing, but the aircraft immediately tilted in response and continued its dive toward the hero. It was let off all of it's artillery as it purposefully got in as close as possible. As the explosion erupted and lit up Tanzo's position, a laser would come from the right-hand side following a steep curve. It was aimed right for Tanzo's knee... something was different about this laser... The other brother didn't shoot at all, in fact, it was as if he'd disappeared. The creeping presence never faded though. He was waiting for a better shot amongst all this chaos.
The sounds of a helicopter could be heard in the distance, as well as two more plane noises. Tanzo was far closer to the new base than he'd ever expected. One of the planes wasn't a plane at all, but a girl soaring far into the skies towards the direction of where the young hero had last seen Shinja. The other plane was an identical specimen as the one Tanzo had just shot down, its eyeball taking in the handy work of its predecessor as it took off. In the distance, it could be scene. A landing strip and warehouse etched into the mountainside. There were a few armed flunkies standing gaurd, but there was a few people who they were reporting too. The sounds of blade chopping through the air was also a person. Likely another flight specialist with a mutant quirk. It was too far to tell at this point.
The closer he got the more intel he could pull, but it also meant more danger. Kako and Lola likely were much closer by now, so it wasn't like he was alone. Timing would be everything here. How would the young hero play things out?

Tanzo braced himself as the plane deployed all its payloads and caused a giant explosion, but the force was still pushing him back, and as he saw the beam of light arcing in towards him Tanzo decided to let it knock him back riding the shockwave instead to dodge the light beam, he'd have his shield ready to block it if it suddenly changed directions to follow him though.
Of course riding the shockwave meant he was knocked over... much to the misfortune of a tree he crashed into. He'd feel that in the morning for sure. He was durable, but smashing through a tree was still gonna leave a mark. Years of hero training gave him the skill to be able to roll back to his feet though, and the dust kicked up by the fallen tree would obscure him at least momentarily.
He had a moment to breathe now. And process everything. Seeing the enemy base nearby complicated things, he could go towards it and pull intel, but even taking the plane out left him in a two on one fight, and he didn't know where one of them had run off too which meant a sneak attack later. Another plane was taking off too, if that came for him it was back to a three on one and he didn't much like the idea of taking another full compliment of bombs every time he took down a plane. Who knew how many planes they had lined up to just keep kamikaze bombing him.
No, for now it was time to cut and run. A base like this couldn't have been set up overnight. That meant it would still be here to investigate later. He knew where it was now, even if the villains went scorched earth and abandoned it they could still investigate when they were better prepared. He wasn't about to take on the whole villain group by himself. He was strong, not invincible, all it would take was a single one of those villains having an electricity manipulation quirk and he was fucked. He wasn't about to risk that without good reason.
Plus at this point... he was about ready to pull the plug on this secret investigation and call in the pros. He'd agreed to help Shinja investigate a cold case, not to lead a crusade against an active villain group out to murder them. This had officially gotten to a point where they were in over their heads, and he wasn't letting her get killed over this. He wasn't going to pull the plug just yet, not if they could all get away safely and discuss as a group... but he pulled up Moonbeam and Nocturne's contact info on his phone and drafted an SOS text with a location ping. If things got worse, he would be able to send a call for help with a single tap.
Best to not let it get worse though. Time to bail.
Tanzo would turn and begin running deeper into the woods. As big as he was, normally speed was a weak point for him in most contexts. But his weight conferred an advantage in long distance running, as once he overcame his slow start and got to full speed powerful muscles could propel him quite quickly. Regular people on foot wouldn't be able to keep pace, and he could crash through any obstacles in his way. With the fighter jet off his case for a moment while a new one launched, now was the perfect time to lose the two villains. And in the deeper woods without their help the plane wouldn't be able to spot him

As the explosion occurred, and Tanzo rode the shockwave, the laser crashed into the ground and only add more blowback. It seemed grossly more destructive than the prior projectiles fired from the duo. The cold mud and slush wouldn't sustain, resulting in a makeshift mudslide following behind the hero. This missed laser was enough to ping the hidden shooter of Tanzo's quick descending location. Another laser was fired, it's trajectory even more complicated than the last. It ping ponged between trees, knocking each on down in the process with a hot fury. As it propelled onward it would only gain more momentum, speed, and power the longer it stretched. It veer as if we going to completely miss, but would sharply turn right toward the young hero. Sadly the two shooters would need to coordinate differently now that they were closer to the base.
They had more manpower now, and a better lay of the land. Interestingly enough, a bolt of electricity crackled and forked toward the origin point. Kako stood meters away struggling to keep her breath, as much of her quirk reverberated back onto her in this downpour. Her body cringed in discomfort, but she was relieved to see Tanzo in the distance. The relief was short-lived when she realized the projectile's sharp turn toward her paisen. She wouldn't yell, it would only give away their position. Lola blared by in a b-line where Kako had just fired her electricity. She was insanely fast, and with those dark clothes, she was like a ghoul shifting through the shadows. Whether the attacked wounded Tanzo or not, he was well within a vigilante safety net for now.

Tanzo couldn't keep his footing was the landslide began. He was hard to move, but even he couldn't remain unmoving in a mudslide. Maybe if he'd had time to plant his feet on solid ground or something, but even if he'd had time the ground itself was giving way around him. All he could do was do his best to ride the mudslide downhill... it was the direction he'd been going anyway, and he had enough mass and strength to at least sort of control where he was being carried... he'd still get smashed through several trees though... he was going to be extremely sore in the morning.
More concerning than the trees was the newest laser. Tanzo quickly gave up on trying to follow the trajectory precisely. It was bouncing back and forth so much to gain momentum and close in on him that tracking all the places it was going was futile. Instead he took the more logical approach and simply tracked where it was in relation to him... so when it veered off to the side as if it was going to miss, Tanzo just kept his shield in between him and it, assuming correctly it was going to change direction again.
The laser would slam into his shield, but he couldn't guard against it fully while also contending with the mudslide and trying not to get buried, so it would clip the shield and glance off, tearing a chunk from his upper arm and making him grunt in pain. He'd suffered worse injuries before, but the fact it injured him as much as it did despite his armor and natural durability spoke volumes about the danger a direct hit would cause. If he couldn't slip away he was going to have to add a titanium alloy to the armor to bolster it's defensive ability before any more of these things hit him.
When the mudslide finally subsided and Tanzo could regain his footing and pull himself out of the muck, he coated the injury in molten metal, effectively welding it shut to stop the bleeding. It hurt like hell even with how heat resistant his body was, but it would prevent the enemy from tracking him via his bleeding. Now coated in mud and having gotten quite a bit of distance from the enemy, he was in a perfect position to slip away. Even as big as he was, with camouflage, the storm, and the cover of night even HE could be stealthy
The mud was helpful in another regard too, the wet and cold sludge helping cool his body back down despite him using his quirk so much in such a short time frame. He hadn't been at overheating levels just yet, but donning armor always accelerated that problem and he had to take whatever sources of cooling he could get.
By the time the villains regrouped, Tanzo would have fled into the woods, blending in with the trees and darkness and mud. He held off on any more forging for now, he had molten metal ready to go, but letting the mud and rain cool him off while he was fleeing and hiding would be prudent... he could make whatever he needed if the villains found him again... plus further forging would generate light that might help them find him.

The chaos would grow quiet, as did the mudslide as the last few boulders tumbled down the mountainside. A calm would be reached, even among the flashing lightning and rolling thunder coming behind it. The pitter patter of rain would seem calming, but it was a shallow feeling after being attacked like that. Still, things like a rustle in the brush or curious wind seemed much more suspicious than usual. A rumbling could be heard, the sound of trees being knocked down, and a couple flashes likely from the gunner's quirks. They were still off in the distance, and far from target. Based on the shots fired, it sounded like they were preoccupied with Lola. A twig snapped loudly, and Kako flinched.
"It's me! Don't swing!" She whispered, albeit loudly enough for Tanzo to recognize her voice. She was pretty banged up, mainly from self inflicted wounds with her quirk. It was an obvious no no to fight in the rain, but she had to hold up her end of the bargain in helping. Lola would appear a few moments right after. "I pushed them further up. Don't show too much light or they'll shoot." She noted palming Kako's head. The young girl would disregard her body and look at Tanzo with worry. "You okay?"
In this distance, another jet engine could be heard! However this time it was a young girl, being followed by Shinja!?!?! What was going on? It looked like they were headed right toward the base.

Tanzo very nearly did swing at Kako, but thankfully she spoke up in the nick of time. Lola appearing and confirming the villains were off his trail for the moment so long as he didn't go around generating light elicited a sigh of relief as he sat down and laid his back against a tree.
"I'm alright Kako, I'm going to be really banged up and sore tomorrow morning, but I've survived far worse" Tanzo reassured "I'm more concerned about you using your quirk so much in this rain..."
Tanzo was about to continue, but hearing more jet engines he tensed, scanning the sky for the source... what the hell!? Why was Shinja heading towards the villain base? That idiot!
He checked his phone for any updates from her
Confronting the boss. They'll keep killing if I don't. Location to follow.
Tanzo almost crushed the phone in his hands in a flash of anger. What was she thinking! Taking on their boss in the middle of their base? She was going to be surrounded, severely outnumbered, and facing a crew that already knew EXACTLY how to fight her. He held himself back though, mostly because now he needed to use his phone. That was it, Shinja had crossed the line and let her need for closure cloud her judgement and put her and everyone else in danger.
"I'm pulling the plug. Shinja can be mad at me later, but this has gone too far. I should've done this back when the bombs dropped. Lola you should probably retreat, there's going to be a pro hero here in... well I don't know exactly how fast Nocturne is but in this storm probably not long" Tanzo said,"as for you Kako, the story is we were just accompanying Shinja to meet with her brother for emotional support and then staying at an airBnB for the night when all this happened. Not a word about the investigation. If there's any chance we can get out of this without Shinja getting expelled we need to at least give a plausible excuse. Noc won't buy it, he's not stupid, but it's better than nothing."
Tanzo sighed... and then hit send on the text to Moonbeam and Nocturne. Moonbeam wouldn't be able to respond as fast as Nocturne, but it couldn't hurt to inform her any more than it would hurt to inform Nocturne. He then focused on removing his hastily made armor and eating it to melt it back down and alloy it with titanium. Nocturne was strong, but against a whole villain base he might need backup... Tanzo was going to need to be ready to fight again. And this last encounter proved that the cheap and quick stuff wasn't strong enough to block the enemy shots. He was going to need the heavy duty protection this time.

"I'm more concerned about you using your quirk so much in this rain..." "Don't worry, I'm strong!" She'd retort, unconsciously sounding a lot like Thunderclap. Lola would eye the metallic boy down with folded arms. The vigilante couldn't understand the concern. Perhaps it was because the gaps in Kako hanging out with them were getting farther apart. As far as things went, the Kako Lola was getting to know and the Kako Tanzo was used to protecting wasn't exactly the same person. She'd change with each visit to Osaka, hardening bit by bit, training under the radar of everyone. Kako saw Shinja incoming behind the jet-empowered villain. They'd head right into the base. For what reason... -she wouldn't know. Her phone shorted out ages ago when she was firing lightning bolts to assist Tanzo from afar. Lola would pull Kako close until they were cheek to cheek. "That girl... That's the same girl in your group, right? The one we're supposed to protect?" Lola inquired, mainly so she knew who not to slice into pieces. She'd receive a hard elbow from Kako who was annoyed. "Shinja, her name is Shinja. Not that girl!" Lola would chuckle in response, giving Kako a reassuring punch to the arm. If she were precious to Kako, perhaps the vigilante would take a bit more care in remembering names. As Tanzo poked away at his phone, Lola would show Kako her own. A short message from Jet. That was good news. Was he combat ready? They'd have to find out. "I'm pulling the plug. Shinja can be mad at me later, but this has gone too far. I should've done this back when the bombs dropped. Lola you should probably retreat, there's going to be a pro hero here in... well I don't know exactly how fast Nocturne is but in this storm probably not long" "If he points his sword at Kako or myself, consider him dead." Lola perked up, only to be elbowed again by Kako. "I mean, I'll keep my distance until Kako is safe and secured." Kako would nod whilst glaring at her. It was clear as day, no two vigilantes were the same, and even more clear that Lola's only mission was to keep Kako safe, and both her friends by extension. Beyond that, the woman had no care for law or who stood in her way. Meanwhile, Jet was fully invested in helping out because their goal coincided with his own want to tear down Team Air Raid. Kako... well she- Tanzo would continue "as for you Kako, the story is we were just accompanying Shinja to meet with her brother for emotional support and then staying at an airBnB for the night when all this happened. Not a word about the investigation. If there's any chance we can get out of this without Shinja getting expelled we need to at least give a plausible excuse. Noc won't buy it, he's not stupid, but it's better than nothing." She didn't realize this, but this next statement would subconsciously be a line being drawn in the sand. A member of njpd... a hero student, they couldn't coincide. As she told him earlier... her time as a student passed. Kako already had a terrible reputation as a student, her being there would only make things worse in her mind. "As far as the school is concerned, I was in Osaka. " She would return to UA on her own time. There was still unfinished business she had to settle... Shinja and Tanzo wouldn't know it, but Kako had already grabbed the paperwork to remove herself from courses. One could barely call her a student, even though she possessed a 2b student ID. This, however, was a conversation for another time. Things were a bit to urgent too explain everything. Tanzo's phone would buzz violently, as if Nocturne rage was taking control of the phone itself. It would ping in back-to-back short messages. "WHAT?!?!? Stay there. Why the hell would you- Stay right there! I'm going to- Hero activity without approval? REALLY?!?? Stay right there, damn it! Don't you dare make this any worse for yourselves! I SWEAR! BE THERE SOON!"
