Physical Description: Leon is a fairly nondescript young man, measuring in at 6'0" tall and 177 lbs. He always has a relatively expressionless face, paired with his seemingly always disheveled hair, gives him the appearance of someone you wouldn't really think twice about at first glance. He has calm but stern eyes and a scar across his nose, and pale skin that makes it seem like he really could use some more sunlight. Viola appears like a young girl with a rather otherworldly appearance, sporting bright teal hair and elf-like ears. She has a lithe form and measures in at only 4'10" and 92 lbs, and skin as equally pale as Leon's. She always carries a dangerously smug gleam in her eyes and expression, making it hard to tell what she's thinking.

Clothing/Misc. Items: Leon wears a fairly muted gray and blue trench coat with a high collar, a heather gray undershirt, dark gray pants, and black boots. Viola wears a one-piece hooded white and crimson dress with a snake-eye design on the sides of her hood. She also wears long-sleeved crimson gloves that reach to her upper arms. She usually walks barefoot.

General Personality: Leon and Viola Adler are twin souls occupying the same body. Leon is the primary and default persona, while Viola usually rests in Leon's mind, but Viola is actually the more powerful of the two, and will usually come out when Leon is sleeping, tired, severely injured, or whenever she deems the situation necessary. Leon is a fairly passive, observant individual who can be a bit rough around the edges and sometimes a bit off-putting as a result of either his remarks or blunt straightforwardness. However, he's very reliable, patient, and willing to listen, making him an excellent person to work with, or sometimes just a good person to vent to. He does have a bad habit of keeping to himself, often choosing to converse with and confide in Viola rather than other actual people, but will make attempts to interact with others when she gets tired of it or feels like she isn't the right person to help him. He is a careful planner, and will often question decisions and poke holes in thoughts to ensure what's being done is the right course of action. Viola is a whimsical, mysterious girl who greatly enjoys watching Leon's progress and struggles, but will always be there to guide him when he needs a second hand. She is the reason Leon often second-guesses himself, her presence ensuring that he is never alone, and recognizes it as a common issue, so she often will refuse to help if she knows he is capable of doing something on his own. Compared to Leon's more inquisitive nature, Viola is more of an explorative person, and will often take over their body to satisfy her personal interests if she deems a situation worth looking into directly. She also has a way with words, able to navigate conversations in ways that benefit her, and will not waste time digging into any bit of information she can get her hands on. Viola knows that Leon is more susceptible to giving in to her decisions than the other way around, and fully makes use of this trait.

History:
Leon Adler was born in Germany into a very poor household of Quincies who often struggled to make ends meet. The circumstances of his birth were very normal, and he arrived without complications, but the problem resided with his fraternal twin sister, Viola. Her spiritual energy was so powerful that it was incredibly unstable in the form of a newborn, and her body seemed unable to deal with it. Panicked and afraid for their daughter, to prevent her from dying, their father sealed Viola into Leon's stable body. It seemed to have worked at first, and Leon began crying, thankfully a sign of normalcy. His plan was originally do undo the seal once they had aged, and Viola's soul would have stabilized and her body able to host it, but Viola's spiritual energy only continued to swell over the first few months, eventually absorbing the seal in its entirety. Puzzled by their daughter's abnormal power, the couple gave custody of their child to the primary ally of the Quincies, the Church, in the hopes that they would be able to help her.

As they grew up, Viola's personality had materialized within Leon as a second being that would awaken whenever the young boy went to sleep. At first, it was only noticeable because the person within Leon's body clearly was not his laid-back personality, but eventually, she was able to transform his body into hers as well. Raised by a Quincy priest and visited by their parents every so often, Viola trained to be able to harness her gigantic spiritual power, while Leon worked on developing his. As a result of his lack of any kind special talents, Leon was used to being out of the spotlight. But despite this, he was well cared for, and his hard work and efforts were always praised as an example to the other Quincy children that visited the church. His apt mental acuity helped the young boy through each of the walls he encountered, and quickly honed his fundamentals of Quincy abilities to perfection.

Viola, despite being a genius by birth, was not so fortunate. They had been brought to the church in hopes of reigning in her power, but the rate at which her reiatsu kept magnifying was too much to bear. Her own latent ability also became apparent at this point, because whenever she was in control of the Adler twins' body, time began distorting wherever she walked. It seemed like remaining buried within Leon was the only thing that seemed to be successful, but it was a lot to ask of the boy, who was also concerned for his sister. Viola's volatile nature and increasingly otherworldly appearance gave birth to rumors around the church, meant to scare the youth into staying in bed at night.

Yet, those very same rumors were the reason they were saved. The Master of the Quincies himself visited Leon and Viola one morning, having heard of the girl's problems. Intrigued by her power and ability and the twins' unique circumstances, he taught the two of them how to control their spiritual energy and learn to attain the form of Vollstandig. Given Leon's spartan effort and Viola's natural talent, they attained it that very same day. It also seemed to be the solution for Viola's extreme power radiating from her body on its own, as the technique refined a Quincy's control over their spiritual energy and finally stabilized Viola's form when she was in control of their body.

The day that the Master died and civil war broke out among the Holy See, Leon and Viola simply waited out the carnage in the shadows. They had no attachment to any side, and were saddened by the passing of the elder who had given them freedom. But, they were not forgotten. The victor of the ensuing power struggle, while collecting the remnants of the organization to regain everything under one banner, was not an individual to so easily ignore a being that even the Master himself had chosen to teach by hand. Viola's God-given gifts of talent and power and Leon's unyielding acceptance of his sister's condition and efforts to do his best earned the Adler twins the rank of the Saint of Grace, as their very existence surviving was taken as a sign of God's favor for their parents' willingness to do whatever it took to save their children. That, and of course, the new leader had no qualms about wanting to make the most of Viola's power as an ally. She was far too dangerous for the woman to do anything else.

Physical Abilities

Master Archer — Leon is highly adept with a bow and arrow in combat, using it as his primary fighting method. His strength lies in calculation and perception, allowing him to take into account mathematical physics and the immediate environmental circumstances to guarantee accuracy in every shot by extrapolating movement and timing. Due to Leon's bow's nature, his oversized ballista is more akin to directing artillery fire, but is also capable of using it normally.

Expert Swordsman — Leon has been trained by Viola in the art of swordfighting, and combined with his physical prowess and calculation abilities from his archery skill, is able to more-or-less hold his own against skilled swordfighters.

Reishi Manipulation — As a Quincy, Leon has trained extensively in his ability to control the reishi of his surrounding environment, molding it to his will for various purposes. He can also combine ambient reishi with his own spiritual power in order to create his Heilig Bogen, or simply use it for offensive spells.

Reiatsu Analytic — Leon is a team-oriented fighter, and often plays a support role in missions with allies. He has grown to be able to monitor the reiatsu levels of others to a fine-tuned degree, allowing him to detect any changes in the status of the reiatsu of individuals he is familiar with. He is also capable of quickly learning how reiatsu-based abilities can function, although he is only effective at this at lower levels; more powerful or unique techniques will take him much more time to study before he can understand how they work.

Gemini — Leon's body serves as a vessel for Viola's soul, who rests deep within. Her true power is subdued while she remains dormant within her brother, allowing her to exist safely. They are able to communicate mentally with each other unless one is actively sleeping, and Leon is also able to cede control of his body to Viola, who changes his body into her own when she comes out, but it still remains his vessel, retaining its suppression. Viola is also able to forcibly take control of Leon's body, usually while he is tired or sleeping.

Master Swordswoman — Viola can wield her unique sword as naturally as if it were a part of her body. She has been wielding it for most of her life, and serves as a reliable method of attacking in combination with her ability. She has a very fine understanding of the physical aspects and techniques of wielding a sword, in addition to methods of combating swords, complete with the knowledge of all of her strengths and weaknesses and a sword user, how best to exploit those weaknesses, and countermeasures for those exploitations.

Reishi Manipulation — Viola has a high level of mastery over controlling reishi, able to decompose material composed of reishi and shape it in forms to her will. She often uses this ability as a pseudo-form of object creation by building physical constructs out of reishi for her purposes, and can double as a method of attack. Her primary ability is not reliant on reishi, so she often does not use it for offensive spells, but is able to if necessary.

Higher Being — Viola's power is on a level that her human body was unable to contain. Using her brother's body as a vessel for remaining dormant allows her to materialize her own body at a suppressed level to allow her to remain corporeal, but if her true power is unlocked, the sheer spiritual pressure can cause lesser beings to become paralyzed, fall unconscious, or even dissipate just by being near her, depending on the level of their own spiritual pressure.

Chronostasis — Viola's true nature is the ability to warp reality by slowing down the passage of time. She can selectively choose what to affect with her power, whether it's an isolated target like herself, someone else, a weapon, a projectile or other object, or an area around her or at a location of her choosing around her. She can slow down the passage of time by any percentage she wants, all the way from 99.9% to freezing time at 0%. The limit is that the ability can only affect things within her effective range, approximately a 20 meter spherical radius, as being able to slow down time in individual areas is merely excluding specific areas within her range of influence. Additionally, the potency of her ability to warp time cannot be controlled at separate speeds, this factor is also merely increasing or decreasing the effectiveness of her time-distorting aura as a whole. At its core, Chronostasis is not so much an "ability" but rather a "trait" that Viola emits, and is weaponized or made safe by controlling it. This ability is more or less suppressed by using Leon's more ordinary body as the primary host for her soul, and when she takes control of his body and physically changes it to her form, it is only 1% as effective as it is normally while Viola is passive, up to 10% with her effort. Its full capacity is not able to be utilized unless Viola has entered Vollstandig, allowing her physical body to stabilize its form. This trait is also the reason her body does not age.


Quincy Spells

Blut Vene & Blut Arterie — As Echt Quincy, Leon and Viola have had the ability since birth to cause reishi to flow through their blood vessels, allowing them to drastically strengthen their physical defensive and offensive capabilities respectively, but can only activate one form of Blut at a time, requiring them to disable one in order to activate the other.

Blut Vene Anhaben — Leon has trained to be able to extend Blut Vene beyond his body, creating a forcefield that can block incoming attacks with the same durability as if he was using it within his body. Viola has no use for this ability and has not bothered with it.

Hirenkyaku — An advanced movement technique, Leon and Viola are capable of extreme high-speed movement by manipulating reishi beneath their feet.

Schatten — A high level Quincy technique that expands the shadows to create a portal into the darkness, allowing the user to teleport across distances, concealing the user in the darkness for safe travels and erasing all traces of the user's reiatsu. It can only be used where there are shadows, areas entirely covered in light are unable to be made into a portal.

Holy Aspect: Heaven's Eye — Leon's Aspect is the ultimate information ability that allows him to survey entire battlefields, Heaven's Eye. It serves as a form of visual projection that allows him to observe any location from directly above, in the upper atmosphere. He can manipulate the size of the area as well as the level of zoom of his aerial view at will, and it also can view straight through physical and reishi surfaces alike, able to toggle between viewing visual light and viewing reiatsu signatures. The view of Heaven's Eye appears to Leon within his own mind, but he can also openly project it in front of him if he chooses to do so to allow others to see.

Vollständig: Gotteskind — The ultimate technique of a Quincy, the Holy Form that allows one to fight with their full power. Ordinarily, it would take the form of a shining halo and wings made of light, but for Leon, it simply allows Viola's body to stabilize as a physical form, unlocking the full power of the Gotteskind, the Child of God. Viola's form absorbs Leon's consciousness, keeping him safe and dormant the way she normally remains in his body, and her Chronostasis is allowed to run rampant. She could use wings to fly, but in this form, her Hirenkyaku is far beyond the speed that a normal Vollständig could provide. She does not seem to have any perceivable benefits from Vollständig itself, as most of the power increase comes from having a body that can withstand her own level of power.


Other Items

Quincy Cross — Leon's cross is worn around his neck as a pendant with a chain, and is in the form of a pocketwatch. However, the hands of the watch are in the form of the Christian cross, with the long end coming to a point. It serves as the hour hand on a 24 hour clock, as it is the only end that tells time, and the rest of the cross remains aligned with it.

Heilig Bogen — Leon's Heilig Bogen, Heaven's Tears, is a massively oversized bow taller than himself, with a double-reinforced composite frame with two strings in the shape of a narrow X with a circular hole in the center where the arrow is fired. This bow fires extremely massive arrows more akin to ballistae that grow in size upon being launched, from a minimum of a one foot diameter and six foot length to a maximum of about five feet in diameter and thirty feet in length that pierces through everything in their path with a searing light, causing a large explosion on impact and unimpeded by cover or obstructions. It takes three to fifteen seconds to generate a ballista before he can fire it depending on the size of the ballista and the range he is aiming at, and also requires roughly the same time to recover from a shot. Leon primarily provides long-range artillery support in combat to his allies to make use of his abilities and avoid his drawbacks, but can capably fight with it in mid-range as needed.

Seele Schneider — Both Leon and Viola's Seele Schneider are of a unique ornate design akin to a clock's hands. Leon's is the Minute Hand and has properties similar to a longsword, while Viola's is the Hour Hand and has properties similar to a medium-length sword. Both of them share the name Xepher. The swords can be imbued with the wielder's reishi to concentrate or extend the effects of the user's abilities, which Viola in particular makes extensive use of.
