Appearance
Visual Appearance:
Physical Appearance: 5H1R0KO is actually 15 meter long and 6 meter tall chimera. Covered head to knee in a pattern of brown and white feathers, similar to that found on certain species of owls. Her eyes are black with pupils that when they catch the light seem to glow red. Her face seems to be a weird blend of a human and owl. Where is has the layout for a bird, but instead of a beak there is a lipless mouth full of sharp teeth. Her turn form could be said to be like that of a gryphon as she has six limbs, four legs and a pair of wings. Though unlike the mythical beast, her form seems to mostly draw from the avian aspects that make her up. All four of her legs ends in scaled bird legs with horrendously sharp talons
Civilian Clothes: if one is to be honest Shiroko doesn't wear clothes normally. If she were in her human form she has taken a liking to an outfit consisting of a white sleeveless sweater with exposed back, red skirt with a brown leather belt, a long brown puffer jackets with fur lined hood and simple brown boots.
Hero Outfit: (What you wear when working. Don't forget to list any tech, armour or supporting gear that your costume has as part of it. Please note students don't start with support gear unless it is vital to them handling their quirks.) Shiroko's hero outfit consists mainly of a one piece body suit with no arms or legs and an exposed back. Attached to this, is a multi part cloak that encompasses her body. The cloak is made from multiple strips of material that allows her to reach out with her arms and wings. The whole piece is made from a light brown and light blue material. Most importantly, it stretches so that once she transforms into her true form, it still resides on her body in the form of a collar.
Adaptive mask: A special mask made for Shiroko that does as one expects covers her face. Except unlike a normal mask it as a few size functions. It can expand to to cover her monster form, or shrink become small enough to fit in the palm of a human hand. These a suggestion of an avian design to it.
Talon protectors: as Shiroko tends to act upon her own nature, she has talon covers that she can deploy to prevent the lethality. These take the form of what seems to be decorative cuffs around her ankles and wrists.
Personality
Bad Habits: Shiroko even after all these years doesn't socialise in the same way a human does. She will often just stare at a person when they talk and won't show any indication that she is actually paying attention. Worst still is that she will simply look away and seem to busy herself with something else. She is also prone to just stating what she thinks and making no subtle conversation, so in a sense if she wants to insult someone she will say it to their face and wont try to hide it.
Goal: Shiroko intends to find the person(s) who made her and..... vengeance is a thought or maybe answers.
General Personality: Shiroko has lacking a better general term for it, an owl like personality. That is, she if effectively a flying cat. Shiroko is somewhat impulsive, with a decent volume of curiosity. Due to her nature she tends for directness and doesn't take to evasion or even lying. That isn't to say she can't recognise it. She is well known for her hard stares, such that she can unintentionally make people break and confess to crimes even though she was simply giving them her full attention.
As a hero, Shiroko is a highly dedicated individual. Good at following the rules to their meaning rather than the spirit.

History: Little is known about 5H1R0KO. She or rather it was lurking in the middle of nowhere, hiding out in the mountains. She was discovered by hikers just before sun set. Though found is probably the wrong word. She found them. They were making their way towards campsite, knowing full well they had underestimated how long it would have taken. Regretting the fact that they should have stopped a few hours ago, back at the previous site but had been determined to press on.
Light was fading and their progress had slowed something was stalking them. They heard it moving about and stopped. Panning their touches about. Expecting a bear or perhaps bore. Neither expect to see the massive shadow obstructing what little sun was passing through the trees. It was only as they saw the odd tree trunks suddenly in middle of the trail from where they had come, did they realise something was wrong. Their lights slowly raised, up a large feathered body and finally up to her face. Where the light caught it's eyes can caused them to glow red and they saw the face. It was no face of an animal. It looked like a birds. It's eyes large and black, pupils reflecting red. A featureless face without a beak, instead a lipless mouth with two rows of sharp fangs arranged as if in a horrific smile. The two hikers fled screaming, and left only a lingering smell.
It would be weeks before anyone came to investigate. Heroes who specialised in mountain rescue but they had only come cause there had been more than one sighting. The first has been waved aside as a figment of hikers imagination, brought on by tiredness and hunger. When other sighting and even a picture turned up. The heroes went looking. Even with all their skills, it still took time to find the trail left by the creature. Alarmingly, the tracks would lead them down the mountain towards a village.
Though as they followed it's path, something was to be observed. This thing they were tracking, it had all the indicators of an animal out of it's normal environment. An animal stressed by sudden change of conditions. What had started as a mission to find a mysterious creature turned into a rescue mission. What ever it was most certainly dangerous, but it was also scared.
A fact that came apparent when the heroes came upon a scene where the creature had ran into more people and fled. It had lashed out in panic. Shredding trees and vegetation like they were made of paper, it's talons had barely missed the person it had been aiming at. With a quick check on the hikers and a statement of what happened they learned the creature had been startled. And that meant they needed to pick up their pace. They were close. It wouldn't be till the next day did they catch up with the creature. They were quick to see why it hadn't been moving faster. It was hurt. The creature now they saw it, one leg was lame and so was a wing. Had someone seen it and attacked or had it already been hurt? Ether way, the sight of the creature sparked fear even within the heroes. It was a monster with a face eerily like a humans. It roared and screeched at the heroes as they tried to approach. Backing away for every step they took.
They could attack, to try and take it down, yet one insisted on trying to calm it down. They approached alone, hoping soothing sounds worked in calming it down, with a slow and careful approach, they edged closer. They had dealt with animals before. They couldn't tell if the creature was calming down but kept trying none the less. Then they made a mistake. Edging too close when the creature seemed to settle down. Except it hadn't, it was gauging the distance, then with a brutal swipe. It struck out at the hero. The talons striking true and deep. The creature immediately made to flee, running as fast as it could. The remaining heroes tried to give chase but with one of their companions down and in need of air, they couldn't be abandoned. Even when one tried to give chase, they found it was just too fast. They had to call for help.
Back up arrived, a number of heroes and specialist help arrived but their efforts would be in vane. They hadn't accounted for the creature having just flown away. They had presumed it was too hurt for it too fly not that it just caused it great pain. The creature had escaped to different region entirely, foiling the efforts to track it. It found somewhere else to hide and lick its wounds. Not it would be hiding for long. Of all things a local child found the creature in 'his' hiding place. He was surprised but in the ways of a child only could, didn't find the creature scary. If anything it was 'cool'. In their excitement they approached the creature without fear or concern, the creature only noticing them as it woke. It was a startled, but kept still case this small human hadn't noticed it.
Of coarse the child had and wondered round the creature in in wonderment. Till he found the creatures tag. He looked perplexed at the words but still tried to read it. In his pure innocence he read the ID ,5H1R0KO, as the name Shiroko. He looked up beaming with a smile as he looked up into the face of the monster. Who just looked down at him as he spoke. Then to to his greater surprise it spoke. "Shi~ro~ko" the words work was a slow and halting but upon hearing it the boy beamed. "Yes Shiroko!" he said "I'm Tanjiro".
It was the start of a relationship that brought the creature round from fearing humanity too just distrusting it. He taught the monster how to speak, and tried to teach it how to read. He was not the best teacher as even he was still learning. He also taught her about quirks, showing the monster his own, despite how lacking in potential. It inspired Shiroko. The monster started experimenting. Just encase it too had one of these quirks. As it happened it did. And it took the most surprising form. It could change its form, by the time the boy came back again to speak with her. He found her different. Instead of the hulking monster that took up most of his hiding place. There was something more human sized. It still had most of its features but it was humanoid. Something about her new form sparked and idea in the boy's head and the next day, after marvelling at her new form, came back with comic books.
He showed her these fictional heroes and villains. Some where good, some where bad and some like her were monsters. The boy said to her she could be a hero like those in the comics and like the real ones that actually existed. Shiroko wasn't convinced but the boy seemed committed to showing her this stuff and kept bringing it for her to see. It was among the various things he brought at the end of the day while she was still healing. Though one day he would find her missing. Not that she was missing, just gone out to test out herself. To stretch her wings once more. She took too the sky, and flew around. And took the time to hunt properly. Little did she know, she was spotted.
When she returned to the hiding place. They boy was waiting, he had been crying, thinking she had just left. Shiroko looked at him closely, wondering the steams of water running from his eyes. He wouldn't explain why. So not knowing what to do, she moved away, transforming into her humanoid form, all so she could read the comics Tanjiro brought. Unaware that they would soon have company. Or out have, had Tanjiro not come with an idea. He invited Shiroko to his home, he wanted to show Shiroko, something there. She followed him from the hiding place to the town where he called home. By the time they arrive at his home. Someone else had found the hiding place.
Tanjiro snuck her inside, cause he wasn't sure how his parents would react, and took her this thing called a computer. There he started to show her things on the 'internet'. News clips of heroes saving the day, clips of fictional characters being the 'good guys' and few other things the Shiroko didn't understand. They watched for hours before Tojiro realised the time and started to get Shiroko out of the house, he wanted to sneak Shiroko out before his parents caught them together. However as they made their way up the street, they were found. Shiroko's head turning to look at them before they even announce themselves. The heroes who had come looking for the creature. They were confused as first but now they saw it's face, they knew it was the very thing they were looking for. They shouted for the boy to get away from it but the boy refused. Claiming Shiroko wasn't dangerous, that it wouldn't harm anyone. The heroes were conflicted but chose to spare the child the details but still told him it had harmed a hero trying to help it. He looked at Shiroko in shock but got no reaction from the creature. It just stared and then pushed the boy away and back towards his home. Then simply started to walk away.
The boy shouted after it but it didn't turn to look, he was about to give chase when heroes stopped him and then gave chase to the creature ones more. Shiroko would turn to face them, its face unreadable. "Go away, leave me alone!" Shiroko stated. The heroes refused, stating that after what it had done, it wouldn't be allowed to roam free. Shiroko backed off, and started to spread her wings but this time the heroes were ready. One of their new allies had means to keep her grounded. Rapidly forming a dome from a net like material they trapped her in with them. Unaware this very act would panic the creature. Triggering a flight or fight response and with there no way to escape, the inevitable happened. A peaceful solution wasn't going to happen now. The following fight would be recorded as a major event for the area.
Shiroko would later awaken, finding herself contained in some of cell. There was a food and water but other than the lights in the ceiling, there was no window. Her eyes would quickly find the camera looking down at her and she stared at it for a long time. Long enough that those watching her wondered if the now true sized creature could actually see them. They were face with a problem. Thanks to the discovery of the name tag, and the account from the child. They learned that this creature was some sort of illegal experiment that had escaped. Where from? that would be a question that would take a long time to answer. What was clear that what ever she a was meant to be, evidently the plan had been foiled by her escape. This 5H1R0KO was a chimera and had a quirk. She might be in theory an animal but also a being of intelligence. One that had been through some potentially horrible conditions before her escape.
A choice was made, a risk was taken. One of the heroes dared to enter the room with the monster. They saw how she shrunk back from their arrival, trying to back as much into the corner as possible. So instead of trying to get close to the the creature they sat down and place their back to the wall before talking. He didn't expect a response, so he spoke and hoped it would listen. He told it what he understood, told it what he believed had happened since her first discovery. Then he sat in silence, hoping he would get an answer. His hopes were rewarded just as he was about to give up. "Shiroko" was all it said. The monster didn't say more but he understood what it meant. He thanked it for telling him her name and then stood and left.
This would be how things went for the next few weeks. He would enter the chamber, speak, Shiroko would listened and maybe talk back. Eventually she was to stop trying to hide in the corner when he arrived and eventually started to transform into her human like form before he arrived. It was a slow progress but he was determined to get her to talk. She knew details that would allow them to close a down the very place that made her and he believed the boy might have been right. Shiroko wasn't bad. He would start to bring things in and started where the boy had left off, teaching the monster.
A year later, Shiroko would be allowed out. Given the chance to see the real world that she was scared of. She was shown the place she had been kept and then area around. She was introduce to people about the facility, many reacting to the sight of her face. Most recovering after a moment of shock. It was a few days later when their shock returned but for a different reason. As they had been walking around, Shiroko had been experimenting with her quirk. What shocked them was that the face they had started to get used too was suddenly 'normal'. She looked like a normal person, no exposed teeth, no deep black eyes with red dot pupils.
This was a development that was to be explored. They gave her instruction, direction how to use her quirk better. Somehow those that were meant to be keeping eye on her became invested in trying to develop her. They didn't even lock the cell some nights, which would have gotten them into trouble, if she actually left the facility. It seemed like Shiroko responded well with the opportunity of freedom. She had taken to wandering the facility, often spooking the security when they saw her down a dark corridor.
The real developments came later when they took her outside. Actually showing her around, meeting people and actively trying to make her familiar with human society. Despite all their efforts however, Shiroko always seemed odd. To any observer something was odd about her. Her natural instincts and habits refused to leave her. Such habits that came into play a few days later.
They were just wondering around the town, intending to take Shiroko somewhere to see her reactions. What happened instead was the creature stopping suddenly, turning her head to look round and then suddenly dash out across the road, leaping up into the air and throwing out her wings, then she grabbed up a mother and child. There was thoughts that she had been tricking them all that time, the creature and simply played a long game to make them let their guard down. Then moments later a truck wheel came hurtling through the space the mother and child had been moments before. Many questions would be asked and they would be answered in the follow up investigations. The answers were simple a truck had lost its wheel and the offending object had maintained its mentum and hurtled away. Shiroko apparently had heard the noise and acted quickly when she had seen the wheel rolling. Whether the wheel would have hit the pair hadn't been something the creature had thought about, she had simply acted.
A storm was to follow, specially after the scare the Shiroko had give the two she had saved, both as she saved them and after when she had evidently allowed her face to lapse back to its normal state. Thankfully they were able to keep the incident under wraps only a small side note in the new, was ever given towards it. Still the incident highlighted an interesting detail. Even with the creatures history, it wasn't bad, something worth investing time and effort into. Someone saw and opportunity to make a hero out of her and started making moves for it to happen.
Some years later, Shiroko would resurface in the world as a pro-hero. The hero known as Dark Wing. She was an unusual hero in the current in that while she wasn't camera shy or anything like that, displayed massive disinterest in actually making any form of address about the incidents she attended. Whatever the situation, the media was always handled by a representative. However, her effectiveness wasn't in doubt. Dark Wing, would well known for just swooping in from nowhere. There would also follow account of her scaring bad-guys into submission. A detail the media was more than happy to pick up and run with it. Somehow it spawn a series of comics based on Dark Wing, full of cool one liners and a dark stoic character. Which as it happens the general public latched onto and started to assume that was just how she was.
Quirk
Name: almost human
Quirk Type: Transformer
Power: Shirko's quirk is believed to be multi faceted but the move obvious effects is that it allowed her to transform into a human like body. Its a common misconception that her quirk goes they other way and allows her to transform into a more monstrous form. Truthfully she can mould her form from the great beast she actually is into a humanoid forms, and can at its highest from just appear as a fully fledge human. Shirko has control on just how much she transforms in what ways she transforms. Shiroko's strength and agility doesn't change at all when she transforms merely her the side of her body. As such even in her human form she can still lift a 1.5 tonne car above her humanoid head. As for speed she suffers from physical limits when it comes to human form, but would sit in line with top athletes in her harpy form, in her true form she can reach speeds of 33 mph. Her flight speed is only 49 mph. On the ground she has the stamina to travel about 28 miles in a day but in the air she was recorded to travel 124 miles in a day.
The transformation process from true form to full human takes about 10 seconds and there for partial transformations to fury or harpy only takes about 5 seconds. She can focus and spend extra energy to speed up the process but she cant only make a full transformation reach down to 6 seconds and a partial to 3.
Shiroko has three primary forms she favours, that isn't her true form, named more for their appearance.
Fury: a six limbed form, basically the humanoid version of her normal state. In this form she typically retains her wings and lower claws, while what would be her arms can be more claws or made into hands.
Harpy: much like the Fury form except it combined the wings and arms into one simple pair for limbs, wings that have the hands/claws still present.
Human: as one would expect it his a humanoid form, noted for her brown hair, sometimes laced with feathers. Golden yellow eyes with red reflective pupils
Supermoves: While she has recognisable super moves, none were actually named by Shiroko.
Night Haunter: Not really a super move, though those that had experience it would say it was. This move takes the form of a preparation rather than a singular act. Normally through the means of turning off lights, removing minions one by one, and alluding to her presence without actually revealing herself till the scene is set. Then with a certain dramatic flair, she will ether drop down or seemingly appear in the presence. Her wings obscuring her face, normally removing her mask in the process, and then with a flurry, she will throw out her wings and allow the victims to see her true face. To accompany this she has been taught a few lines that add to the scene and makes it impact just a bit harder.
Falcon dive: A aerial strike where Shiroko propels herself rapidly in a near vertical attack. At night the only indication of her approach is the high volume whistle that is produced as the air passes through her feathers. Typically this move ends with heavy hitting strike from above using her leg talons or sudden swooping grab. Essentially allowing her to use the move to attack or even use it as a rescue move.
Wings of Justice: Shiroko, thanks to immense strength and flap her wings so hard that they can unleash a powerful blast of air that pick up and carry away people and anything smaller. Thanks to the technique she uses, she can manipulate it to mimic the effects of the toy air zooka.
Griffin Surprise: Shiroko wraps herself in her wings like she is trying to protect herself, obstructing her person from view and as she does so, suddenly transformation into her true form.
Drawbacks: Shirko's transformations take fair amount of focus and concentration to pull off, this is evident when fight as parts of her transformation will fade as she is distracted. While she has alot of freedom on how much she transforms she can't make her monster form the size of a human or visa versa. Other than her favoured forms which she has made instinctual, maintaining other demo forms takes away her concentration. Transformation is at the end of the day an exhausting process, as it requires both focus and energy to pull off. Also transformations require conscious focus meaning even with practice she is still expending herself to remain even in a partial transformed state. This means as she tires or her concentration wains, she will start to laps back into her true form. The effects of concussion and discombobulation can confuse Shiroko, thus making her ful lapse on her transformation or become confused and commit to a full transformation.
Fighting Style: Dark Wing is a very instinctual fighter. her moves tend to be unconventional specially since she follows through with alot more leg based attacks thanks to her ability to fly. She tends towards attacking an enemy from above, ether by swooping down on them or even perform a jump attack by launching herself into the air and raking the foes with her legs. This doesn't mean she doesn't use her arms, just she tends to allow enemies to think that she doesn't favour them. What's also forgotten about Shiroko is that she in her humanoid forms is still monstrously strong and far more agile than her true form would suggest. Shiroko may value her wings and attempt to keep them from imediate harm, she wont hesitate bat and sweep foes with them.
