General Information
Name: The Lost Vessel
Alias: The Knight, The Ghost, The Vessel
Age: 12
Origin Game: Hollow Knight
Homeland: The Kingdom
Faction: The Hunter's Guild
Gender: Genderless
History: Here is the most important part of your character. You are to make this history as canon and authentic as you can. With that said, keep in mind that your character’s history should be fairly limited, since the world (and by extension, your character) is early in its development.
[spoil]
Soul of Wyrm.
Soul of Root.
Heart of Void.
No cost too great.
No mind to think.
No will to break.
No voice to cry suffering.
Born of God and Void.
You shall seal the blinding light that plagues their dreams.
You are the Vessel.
You are the Hollow Knight.
One of many of these creatures, this Vessel was born alongside it's brothers and sisters within the depths of The Abyss, a child of the Pale King and the White Lady. They were all members of a colony, one that was planned out by the King as a means of fighting something, an infection of light an assimilation brought unto their kingdom by a being called The Radiance. After each Vessel's birth, it was their goal to climb the deep trenches of The Abyss to attempt to reach the glowing light at the top, the entrance where the King awaited his chosen warrior, a champion to protect the underground kingdom of Hollownest.
One by one, the Vessels tried and failed, discarded back down to the bottom of the pits as their shells broke, their deaths swift and painless. For even if they were to be broken, they felt nothing. They were empty shells filled with the blessing of the Void, their catalyst to their creation. Against all odds, however, two of them managed to reach the top of the Abyss, two brothers that struggled upon the final stretch. One manages to reach the top floor, and the other hangs on the edge. The Pale King accepts the one as he makes his leave from this dark place. The chosen Vessel hesitates, turning back to see it's brother clinging to the top, staring into the eyes of it's brother.
The sibling leaves. The door seals shut. And the lone Vessel falls back into the darkness. This, however, would not be the end of it's story.
By unknown means, this one did not perish. It escaped, alongside some of it's brothers and sisters. The world they knew was shrouded in blackness, their vision of the world blurred as they stepped into the wasteland that was the outskirts of their home. This one was one of those that survived the wilderness, scavenging an old nail to defend himself against the vicious bugs that scurried through the dust and dirt. Through it's adventures, it had adapted to it's environment and fought for it's own survival, though it developed a sense of morality as it found some decent minded bugs that fought alongside it. Despite losing it's memory of the past within the darkness of The Abyss, it moved on to live and fight for the survival of those who cannot survive by themselves.
Then, almost like destiny, a cry was called out to it. Whether it came from it's long lost brother or something more divine, it wasn't sure. It followed the voice to the edge of the Kingdom, beginning it's new chapter as it searches for the source of the voice and discovers the truth of it's connection to it.
It will figure out every secret of it's past, and become the Knight it's promised to be...
[/spoil]
Drive: To protect those who can't protect themselves. It also wants to find the source of the voices it keeps hearing from somewhere, to return home to the kingdom of Hollownest and discover all of it's secrets. There, in time, it will find it's true purpose.

Visual Appearance:
The Vessel is a black insect, with pointed legs and arms. It's head is white, with two horns curving up from the upper sides like mandibles. From the tip of it's legs to the ends of it's horns, it is about 2'10" in height.
Clothing/Armor:
A dark grey cloak that covers it's body, save for it's legs.
Personality
Being a Vessel, it doesn't have much of a personality. It doesn't feel emotions like everyone else, yet it understands the concept of emotions as well as kindness. It doesn't talk at all, but it's always open to conversation as it needs all the info it can get for it's journey. It has a driven essence about it, strong and disciplined as a professional fighter and hunter. It's also a calculating swordsman, liking to work to read an opponent's battle tactics and find ways to strike at the right time. When it comes to it's allies, it's incredibly loyal and protective of them to a fault, risking it's own life to defend them. It has it's own sense of honor and kills only the beast-like and dangerously hostile.
Weapons/Items
Any and all items that your character wields. For canons, nothing but the things you start with at the beginning of your respective games, and the same goes for OCs. You may not edit this part once the character is approved without Moderator permission.
Shade > The inner workings of a Vessel, the being in it's true form. If the Vessel takes too much damage, it's body has potential to shatter apart and release the Shade within. The creature retains all thoughts and abilities that the original form has except it has the ability to fly continuously. If it takes too much damage before it's body is repaired and restored, it can potentially die. Otherwise, it dissipates into Void energy and returns to it's original body, restoring it to it's complete state.

Old Nail > It's main weapon of choice, salvaged from it's adventures outside it's home. This blade is a bit withered and cracked, yet it still holds up to deal damage to it's enemies. It can potentially be repaired, sharpened and even reforged into a stronger nail with the right amount of forging and use of a rare resource called Pale Ore.

Charm Notches > The Vessel has these slots on his person that allows him to equip a variety of Charms for use on the battlefield. He can collect more of these notches over time to equip more charms.
Number of available notches: 3 (Max. 11)
Number of remaining notches to find: 8
Charms > These trinkets and artifacts can be equipped to the Vessel to give it additional benefits and abilities, some costing more Charm Notches than others to equip.
Available Charms:
(Yet to be found)
Abilities/Powers
Surprising intelligence > The Vessel doesn't really seem like a smart creature, and yet it has a very good level in intelligence. It knows how to read and write English and, surprisingly, the complex writing language of Hollowscript from it's place of origin. It has a good memory, solid perception of it's surroundings, and is capable of adapting to different situations with the right information.
Swordsmanship / Nail Prowess > Through the many years of surviving the harsh environments, the Vessel is highly experienced in close combat and it's skills with a sword is superb despite it's size. It knows how to read opponents and try to figure out how the opponent fights so it can find ways to get in and damage them, parrying and dodging accordingly. It's small size gives it an advantage in mobility, giving it more chances to dodge attacks from larger enemies so it can go in for the kill.
Nail Arts:
(Yet to be learned)
Ability-based Items > Some specific items that can be found by the Vessel can give it more abilities to use in the world around it, mostly useful for mobility or other things.
Found Items:
[spoil]
Mothwing Cloak > A cloak threaded with mothwing strands. This let's it dash forwards along the ground or in the air.
(More to be found later)
[/spoil]
SOUL > The Vessel has trained in using it's very life essence as a resource for magic. It's main use is healing it's wounds, but there are a variety of spells it can learn to utilize SOUL for. Each time it successfully hits an enemy with it's nail, it's SOUL increases in the reserve.

SOUL Techniques:

Focus > The basic way to use SOUL. This allows the user to restore health over time while focusing, using 1/3 of it's supply for each part of health restored.

Roleplay Sample
A necessary part of your evaluation if you've made a canon character's profile, as we need to see whether you can play your character well, both in power ratings and in personality. Doesn't need to be long or extensive, but we would like to see if you have a good handle on the canon you've pursued.
*Woosh... Woosh...*
The wild jungle environments through the outskirts of the Kingdom were beautiful to tread through at first glance from the outside. The lush and soothing aura within the trees, the soft sound of birds in the distance, it all seems very serene. Yet the people vaguely know about the many dangers that can lurk within the shadows, the beasts that lie within that are ready to go on the hunt for the innocent. That's where these, the hunters, come in. They go out into the land with a job to do. A monster to strike down for the people's safety.
The Vessel kept itself focused as it dashed through the forest, tree to tree, bush to bush, towards a certain area in the grassland that was rumored to be cursed by the appearance of a horrible beast. The Hunter's Guild planned a challenge for it to overcome, a test to prove it's greatness and join their ranks. Upon reaching the open field within the forest, it noticed that the area has a dark aura around it. The grass decayed, the trees were withering away and the land itself felt like was crying in pain. And there the beast was. Awaiting it's opponent.
It stood tall as it began to turn towards it's hunter. It's four legs trotted towards it in anticipation, it's dark green fur flowed in the wind, and it's golden eyes stared directly at it. The Acid Beast bared it's fangs and growled at it before giving out a ferocious roar as a method of intimidation, it's fur glowing as glowing green acid was released out of it's pores, dripping onto the ground below.
The Vessel stared back at the monster, unmoved by the threat. It simply unsheathed it's blade and prepared itself for it's test. It was ready.
