Physical Info

Physical description:
To describe Scoop aptly is difficult because of his habit of disguising himself. He can look like many things in terms of hairstyle, hair colour, or even the shade of his eyes can be altered using different methods. His petite build, pale skin, and talon-like sharp nails remain consistent in all his identities. He has even been a woman a few times when it was needed.
His favourite, and believed original appearance, is that of a dark-haired young man with white bangs at the front, piercing green eyes and a constant smirk.
Due largely to this habit of changing his appearance, few in the world even know what Scoop looks like, even if many know his name.
Clothes:
Dress for success is Scoop's motto, and he likes to live by it as much as possible. He loves fancy coats, shirts, cravats and boots with high heels. He is never seen without some scarf from the finest silk or other equally comfortable material. Of course, for the sake of a nice juicy scoop, he is willing to go undercover and dress the part, as it were.
Defining feature:
Two of his most recognizable features are his almost talon-like nails (often painted in vibrant colours) and an octopus tattoo on the right side of his chest.

Personal Info
Personality:
Scoop is always after the next sensational story; he is nosy and willing to do anything for it — from spying on people using his devil fruit to or steal information to get the true story. He is not above taking advantage of the elderly and those with a fragile minds to dig up dirt on someone. He is willing to use such things as blackmail, bribing or theft to make the situation more interesting. He does get excited by significant events, looking forward to reporting them as news to the world. If the outcome is the truth, how one gets, there is worth a few hiccups.
He also has a somewhat low opinion of the intelligence of her average reader. Of course, he would never be stupid enough to speak ill against the world government or the Marines openly.
That is to say, he is not all bad and generally has a pleasant enough personality when interacting with others, even if he has been described as slightly unhinged occasionally. Much, if not all, of his background remains secret, and he enjoys keeping an air of mystery whenever possible. He loves the world, mischief, and both girls and boys (He is not picky). He gives the first-impression of a good-natured and charming man, wearing a permanently wide grin on his face at all times. Openly like this, he appears to have a perfectly content personality, a happy guy, without worry. He also views lying as part of the job and does so easily if he figures it's what people want to hear or if he stands to gain something from it.
Morals:
His morals can be lacking in many ways, and he won't hesitate to use underhanded methods to get what he wants. It would not go as far as to call him outright evil, but he is... flexible and morally grey at best. If one is looking only at the end result, Scoop could be seen as a good man, sometimes even a wise one. But he will always look to his survival; escape is usually the best course of action when things heat up. Thankfully, he is generally very open with his views and makes no secret of these values.
He can also be manipulative to others for a good story, and the growing pirate activity is bound to create some exciting individuals and experiences.
Passion:
Truth-seeking: The truth is more interesting than fiction, so Scoop is what one would call a truth-seeker. Far too many in the world seek to keep the truth hidden; therefore, it is worth finding out.
Dare-Devils & Near-Do-Wells: Nothing sells like a good hero in an epic story. As much as he loathes getting into trouble, he loves when others do it. People throwing themselves into battle with passion, drive and good looks is something he lives for more than anything... ANYTHING! Of course, violence just for the violence is boring. It needs to have a reason.
Dirty Little Secrets: Gossip might not help get to the truth, but it is fun. Everyone has their dirty little secrets that they would rather keep hidden.
Fashion: Now, nothing is quite like looking your best.
Loathe:
Violence: This is complicated. He loathes violence when it involves him... if others want to bash themselves bloody, all the better for the pictures. Combat is usually the furthest thing from his mind, and Scoop will only take to the offensive if there is no other option.
Plagiarism: It is a cheap way to fame. Stealing the work of another is one of the worst sins in the world. Scoop would never dream of using another person's words or pictures for his articles.
The World Government: Just because he doesn't actively oppose them like other idiots doesn't mean Scoop likes how things are run. He knows they are hiding something. He knows they are underhanded, overbearing, annoyingly "goody-two-shoes", and the only thing they have going for them is that the Marine looks good in their uniforms.
Flaw:
Personal Space: Scoop has no respect for personal space and has a habit of listening to conversations even when he should not. On top of that, he gets a little too close for comfort, leading to some people being... annoyed with him.
Hedonist: Scoop loves the good life, and it is difficult for him to say no when offered something he wants, be it Fashion, food or company.
Personal Goal/Dream:
Scoop's main goal is to aid in disrupting the current world order, but preferably doing so in a way that doesn't endanger him. So, if he can support others to cause ripples for him, all the better. Nothing is like "BIG NEWS" after all; sooner or later, the world will find that out, whether it wants to.

Devil Fruit Info
Devil Fruit Name: Doa-Doa no Mi (Door-Door Fruit)
Devil Fruit Type: Paramecia
Abilities: The Fruit's first and foremost ability is that it allows Scoop to create a door on almost any solid surface so that he can enter through. This allows him and anyone else passage through the object no matter how thick or strong it is. Though this ability is usually used to gain free passage, Scoop can also exploit this in other ways, such as trapping an opponent's feet in small doors created underneath them or causing someone to fall through a trapdoor. This power can also be used on living persons, and he can thus deter opponents by making doors on their bodies to immobilize them.
However, Scoop's most remarkable ability is that the user can create doors through the atmosphere. These Air Doors lead into a pocket dimension within the air itself. This is ideal for stealth purposes since this dimension allows Scoop and anyone else to travel vast distances and provides him with a haven for them to stay in from which he can either observe or escape should the situation turn sour. His only downside with this is that while inside this pocketed dimension, Scoop has no means to interact with the real world other than to exit first. For Scoop, he mainly uses it as a means of transport, and combat is a distant "what-if" scenario.
Weakness:
Perhaps the Fruit's most prominent weakness is that once "doors" have been manifested, rather than remaining that way indefinitely, they will automatically re-seal themselves once again after a set amount of time, whether by Scoop's volition or simply by their own. Also, the Doa Doa no Mi is one of the few Paramecia Fruits unable to injure or kill the opponent directly, meaning it has very few offensive capabilities. (Not that Scoop complains)
Like all who have eaten a Devil Fruit, Scoop has a weakness against seawater; as such, he becomes weak and helpless while submerged in water, also referred to as "becoming a hammer". Furthermore, he is powerless against seastone and loses all access to his Fruit when touching it.
Special Moves:
Air Door: Scoop makes a door in the air, allowing him to access a separate space where he can hide and move undetected.
Trap Door: Causing a trapdoor to appear below an opponent's feet to make them fall into a room below.
Door in your face: Scoop can create doors and cause them to slam open in the path of an opponent or just as a way to block incoming attacks.
Tactics info
Personal Equipment:
Dolly-Battle-Grade Umbrella: Scoop is not one to wield any conventional weaponry. Instead, he has a reinforced umbrella that he can use to defend himself against attackers.
Skills:
Master of Disguise: Scoop is a master at making himself look like someone else and doesn't even need a Devil Fruit. He can alter his general profile to appear as someone else using make-up, clothes and wigs. Be that old, young, male or female, he has been most things and can slip in and out of a new identity as easily as someone else would change their small clothes.
Acting: Much like with his disguises, he has a knack for becoming new people when needed.
Perceptive: He is known for noticing small details others would overlook or outright miss.
Slight of Hand: The skill to make things vanish down a pocket or amuse others with apparent "magic" is another skill for the journalist with dexterous fingers and quick wit.
Iron Will: Few can ever claim to understand Scoop, and he has a way of hiding his true feelings behind a pleasant, if not slightly creepy, facade.
Haki:
Combat Style:
He doesn't. As much as possible, Scoop's style of combat is getting out of there as quickly as possible and usually deploying his Devil Fruit to make it impossible for others even to reach him. When forced to fight, he is very defensive, seeking an escape. He is not afraid to fight dirty, using underhanded tactics like throwing sand into someone's eyes, poisoning them, stabbing them in the back, or manipulating them into fighting someone else instead. Now, it would be stupid to mistake his unwillingness for cowardice or lack of ability, and he has the potential to be very dangerous in a fight; he has almost no reason to make use of it. He can also use the offensive powers of his Fruit to confuse enemies by turning parts of their bodies into doors or cause doors to block and disorient them. He can be very creative with doors when he has to.

Nothing is like "BIG NEWS" after all; sooner or later, the world will find that out, whether it wants to.
Defining Moment:
- As a child, he was there to witness the execution of Jole E D'vil. He was there because his parents worked in the trade and happened to be in the area. The words of Jole have continued to haunt him ever since, but he never had the desire to become a pirate. Yet, the seen planted made him distrustful of how the Marine and World Government governs the world.
- He interned at World Economy News Paper as a teenager. He was gaining a great admiration for "Big News" Morgans.
- He happened upon a devil fruit, which he found in the remains of a shipwreck thrown onto the shore. This turned out to be the Door-Door fruit, something he learned when injecting it in a state of panic as the Marine came to investigate. Accidentally using the Air Door to escape possible arrest... or forced recruitment.
- Scoop has done a series of articles for WENP and continued to make a name for himself as an Investigating Journalist. He earned himself the nickname "Close Scoop" from his ability to get outstanding photos and up-close stories. It also helped that he habitually always altered his identity, which caused a rumour that "Close Scoop" was not one, but a group of several journalists. Officially only Morgans know the true identity of Dolion Danfoldil.
Family Tree:
- Maximon Danfoldil: Scoop's merchant father, owner of one of the world's largest traders in fine cloth and tailored outfits, Danfoldil's Clothery.
- Laverna Danfoldil: Scoop's mother, a famed songstress named "The Blue Pearl of the South".
- Hermes Danfoldil: Scoop's younger brother, twin brother to Hemrietta. Works as a clerk in the family business on Baterilla.
- Hemrietta Danfoldil: Scoop's younger sister, twin brother to Hermes. Has joined the Marines and is well on the way to crimping the ranks.
